The FORCE® Heavyweight Synthetic-Wool Blend Base Layer Pant features:
Fit great!
These help keep me warm on cooler days. Fit well.
Nice and warm,
Really short so it’s going back
Nice base layer to use under another layer if you're planning to use these for when you're less active. Also extremely short. I'm 5'6" and these were extreme high-waters.
Sigh... Another Carhart item that doesn't offer tall inseam. I'd like to order this, except it's too short! I'm a size XS and the stated inseam is 28", which is good for a short lady. I don't understand why the inseam varies according to SIZE. Please carhart, just because I'm XS in size, does not equate to "must mean short legs". Please offer a tall
I have to say that I does not feel heavy weight but it keeps you warm like a layer of down. I live in MN and this keeps me warm at 20 degrees and below . Add some physical work and I started to sweat. WOW!! Good thing it wicks sweat away and continues to keep you warm. It really is warmer than I would have thought. This is certainly going to be my go-to first layer on those really extreme cold days to come.
Size was good. I'm 69" and 185#. Fit perfect.
If in doubt, SIZE UP! I am 5’8, 160 lbs. Usually between a 6-8. I purchased a “large” in these (size 12) and it fit! A bit loose in the waist, but shrunk after washing. I can’t imagine what a medium would look like on me. For reference, I wear these while working at my barn or hiking, in temps from 0-20 degrees. I was shoveling snow tonight wearing these under jeans while it was 12 degrees, and was almost TOO warm with all of the movement. Highly recommend, sizing is just off. I also wish these were high waisted.
I wear them with the leggings and they keep me warm outside
Not as warm or “heavy weight” as expected.
I expected heavyweight to be thicker than what I got.
So thin and see through, no warmth at all. Disappointed.
These are a really cozy and warm bottom layer for Winter. They run warm, so on a cold day, they are perfect. The waistline band can become bunched from wear and washing so you may need to reposition it after a few washings.
Otherwise, a fabulous warm bottom layer that has a soft wool fabric.
I received this item as part of the Carhartt Crew Field Test. The fabric is softer than I was expecting and the fit is pretty true to size. They are very warm as an under layer!
These probably run small. I got the size M and I usually wear a 4 or 6 (28" waist) in Carhartt work pants. The M was comfortable- not tight, but not a loose fit either. I think size small would have been too tight to move freely.

They've kept me warm and comfortable doing outdoor work for the last couple of months. Temps between -10 to 20F as the base layer under a pair of jeans and then my insulated bibs. I really appreciate that even working up a sweat, they wicked away the moisture and I never got that clammy feeling that some synthetic base layers seem to get.

The waist band did tend to fold over a bit for me and I have to try to get it to lay flat within the fabric. I've machine washed and dried a dozen times in cold water and low heat with no ill effect.

Size M hits a bit above the ankle (great for layering heavy socks) 5'7", 130#, 27or 28" waist in most jeans (AG/ Levis/ etc).

I got these as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test.
I was given these from Carhartt to test. I wore them for several occasions. Including working outside and skiing for recreation. These thermals are so soft and light weight. The material washes well and doesn’t shrink or lose its shape. They are very thin Which makes it super easy to layer under other clothing. My only complaint is that they are kind of short waisted. I would have preferred them to come up higher on my waist. I’m 5’9” and the legs were a tad bit short as well. But that’s not much of an issue when layered under other stuff. I would totally recommend them.
I received as part of the Carhartt Crew Field Test. It is the perfect weight, feels very comfortable and keeps you warm. It has a bit of a stretch to it so it easy to move around in. Very good quality. You won't be disappointed.
I am impressed with my Carhartt Poly-wool bottom. I received the thermal as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test, but I will be ordering two more complete sets. I am truly amazed at how well this bottom works to keep me warm. One must understand, I am constantly cold, so to me, this is amazing. I am 5ft 3in, and weigh 115lbs, and the small works well for me. I have laundered it, with no ill effects. It has retained it's shape and fit very well. The bottom also fits perfectly under skinny jeans, without bunching or showing. I live in Iowa, and it gets cold here. While wearing this pair of thermal bottoms, I stayed warm. It really goes long way in cutting the harsh winds we get out here on the prairie. I can honestly recommend this thermal bottom to anyone who gets cold in the winter.
Was absolutely impressed with these! So warm, yet light weight and breathe able. Nice fit and super comfortable!!
I'm 4'11", 100 lbs. XS fits perfectly. I'm extremely disappointed in this product. I expected more from Carhartt. They pill horribly! As for warmth, they are just ok. I purchased zip top heavy weight and bottoms.
