Purchased these from Shreveport LA location at Red Wing store.

The second day something was poking me hard through my right boot on the top where lace is through tounge. The third day on the back the padding I guess already worn off causing both of my feet to bleed on the back side of my ankles. It was rubbing my feet but just a sharp pain where the thread is on the back of the boot. This is a very clumsy idea who ever came up with this. Now I probably have to argue with the females at this store about a return. I didn't know this was even a 3rd party boot and not a true Red Wing.

I’ve wore these boots the last six months for work (12 hr shift)- industrial. The leather laces and eyelets have held up, but the lining at the heel is completely destroyed on both. My last pair of Irish setters lasted me over 2 years. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this model due to premature wear.

I LOVE the original Ramsey work boot! Its super comfortable and holds up well. I work as a water distribution operator and put my boots through a variety of working conditions and have yet to have a pair fail on me. I'm currently on my 6th pair with no real complaints.

I bought these boots in February and a month later water leaked in. Took them to red wings to exchange them. After 3 weeks went by got a fresh pair. On the first day I wore them the front started to fall apart and water got inside again worst pair of boots ever bought and a very expensive mistake now I can’t take them back and I’m out $214 and no boots.

I have owned 3 pair of these boots in the last 6 years. Current pair had tuff toe put on when purchased at dealer. They have lasted me 3 years now, but are at the end of their life now. I am a truck mechanic and put boots thru a lot of abuse. I have worn other "good" brands that couldn't even get past 3 months before they started falling apart. I get about 2 years without the tuff toe or 3 years with the tuff toe. Hands down best boots.

In the last 20 years, I've only had two sets of boots make it to the one year mark, and these are one of them. I just hit one year exactly. That they have lasted this long is remarkable (I'm a metal fabricator

I got a $200 gift certificate. And bought these boots. At first they felt comfortable. But after wearing for a week or two. The tongue would knot up and hurt my ankles. So I'd have to adjust it. After 3 months of wearing these boots, they started to come apart around the toes. Then one morning I put them on and when I started tying them they tore along the holes for the laces.

I went to a local red wing retailer to buy a pair of Elys I saw on-line. But unfortunately they didn't carry them but they told me the Ramsey was a better seller for them. They didn't have my size so ordered it and had shipped to me. They seem to be built very well but they have about a 1/8 in of padding in them. I wore them for a week and my feet and legs hurt everyday. I have had them little over a week so I called store to carry back and they told me there is no comfort guarantee. These are the worst boots I have ever put on my feet. I hope this will help others before they throw away $200.

I have owned these boots for 7 months now. Dealt with a small rain storm at work today and my feet are so wet it's like I walked through a pond with no boots on. There was actually standing water in my boots after I took them off. Not only were they not very comfortable, they are heavy and do not preform. Would have been better off wearing running shoes. DO NOT purchase these boots.

hurt the bottom of my feet even tried the inserts red wing sold me could not make it threw one day could barely walk by end of shift was told that irish s etters could not be brought back will not try to wear again very disappointed

Best choice of boots I've done feels like I won't be going to need New boots for a while very comfortable

| Alrib 29-01-2017 23:34

The first time I put them on they felt great went to work I was good all day. I'm in the concrete business so we put our boots through very rough conditions water mud oil and concrete on them so far so good.they are a little heavy but you get use to it.the only thing is the sole which wears off in less then a year but the ruggedness of the boot is great waterproof is still holding up great.I would like to see the company put better soles on this boot and a more aggressive tread on them but for what it's worth I wear them everyday

| Remington 14-01-2017 12:26

I bought this boot thinking, "It's slightly cheaper than my original Red Wings but still has the name so I'll give it a try." Originally the boots were great. I loved the fit and they were comfortable all day. I work in construction so my boots take a beating. However my original pair of Red Wings lasted about 4 years. Within 4 months I wore the toe off of these. No big deal I added a boot saver to the front. I've had them for ten months now and the soles are almost worn away and falling apart. If the boots could fit well and be durable they would have 5 stars. Now I have to go spend another couple hundred dollars to get some new boots when I bought these less than a year ago.

Well after the 3 day of wearing the shoe I decided not to anymore the part were it folds keep digging in to my ankle to were I can take it anymore I tough I was part of the break in process but I won't find out I'm going to just wear my old red wing 2401 I bought this pair because the sales person said they were very similar and more comfortable out of the box to the 2401 wich wasn't true for me other then that the shoe seems well made and durable

| Guy57 14-03-2016 00:52

These were the most comfortable work boots I've ever worn, and I've been working over forty years. Wore them around the house for two weekends before committing them to full time use at work.
I was absolutely amazed at how great they fit and felt right out of the box.
The rather course nonskid coated concrete floors throughout our machine shops were to much for the soles. After ten months they were unusable.
I hated to replace them with a different brand, but at the price paid for these I expect more than eight to ten months of use.
