Great for winter
The shirt is nice enough and probably will be great as a base layer under other layers. I actually called and talked with a sales rep about a replacement for one of my old Carhartt shirts. He recommended this new shirt since the old one is not offered anymore. The old Carhartt long sleeve T shirt is twice as heavy with a very warm ‘waffle weave’ type fabric. The old shirt is MUCH warmer than the new one and I can wear it without another layer most of the time. Here’s to progress.
It was better than expected! Well made soft and comfortable as well as warm.
I bought this for my partner because he works outside sometimes. He said they are really warm and not “itchy “! He likes it because they are stretchy and is able to move in them.
Super cozy! Keeps my husband protected while at work on those cold fall and winter days. Hes a diesel mechanic so he often gets called off to the road to fix a mechanic or truck that's broken down, but also does field work the company he works for. At times the cold weather can be unbearable. He absolutely loves the items I've been buying him from Carhartt!! Keeps him dry and warm! I'm back this holiday season to spoil him with more!

I have numerous Carhartt items and medium is usually a great fit- sometimes even a little big for me. I’m 5’11- 175lbs. This shirt is decent fabric but the shirt fits very short and seems smaller overall than other Carhartt shirts. I kept it but aren’t crazy about wearing it as it feels like it’s riding up all the time. Might want to size up?
I recieved this base layer as a field test. By far the best base layer I've ever had. Its light with a great fit and did its job by keeping me warm while out working in the cold.

I received the poly-wool crew shirt as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test. I love the high quality stitching in all Carhartt shirts including this one, it held up really well and is the most durable base layer I've ever worn. The fabric is extremely warm without being stuffy or smothering like some other base-layers can be.
It's a good base layer . It's warm it's soft and it looks cool .I received this Shirt as part of the carhartt crew test and I like it allot and use it often.
I received the thermals as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test. They are much thinner than I anticipated but more than make up for it in functionality. They are very comfortable to wear and keep you warm in very cold windy temps as a base layer and are very breathable as I also wore them in an office setting in a temperature regulated building and did not overheat. I've owned several base layers in the past and these have been the most comfortable by far.
I received this base layer as part of a field test through Carhartt first impressions were too thin to keep you warm but I was wrong the shirt I ordered as a large fits kind of snug if I was to do it I would go one size bigger on the shirt only this outperformed anything that I currently own I do a lot of hunting deer and duck currently wear under armor but I am going to change my ways I highly recommend this
Not disappointed, I recieved this as a feild tester for carhartt . That said it is exactly what I expected. The shirt is light weight and doesnt bind up with alot of movement like some others do. It's got thumb loops in the sleeves which is very handy, and a small zip pocket on the chest which I didnt really have a purpose for but it didnt bother me either. This is warm but I will say its not the warmest thing out there, but it's a base layer so it's meant to be a building block, and keeping that in mind it works very well.
I bought these for my husband and he loves them. They did get a small hole in them at the seam that I had to fix after the second wash, but other than that, they have been great!
If you're a hunter, or winter fisher these are a must have. very pleased.
I've always worn Carhartt Medium. I ordered a medium in this, tried it and it seemed fine until I washed it(cold water, low dryer). It shrunk and now it's too small.
Nice look, lightweight, and even has thumb loops to hold the sleeves with at the wrist.
I was expecting better insulation value and increased warmth with the Force Heavyweight tag. Can't say it has been better than standard wear. Not for extra cold as I hoped.
Love this base layer. I've layered with both sweatshirts on very cold days, and my Gilliam vest- and it keeps me warm and breathing. LOVE the thumb tags.
These thermals are great. Very warm and comfortable and pairs very well with the bottoms. The thumb loops and pocket are an excellent addition. I personally prefer the thumb hole in the sleeves but not a deal breaker, maybe next time.
