The Heavyweight Heathered Knit Base Layer Pant features:
My husband said he liked them, they are quite heavy, heavier than we thought, but are very happy with the product
“Heavyweight” is not a good word to describe this product, used many of times. Sweatpants for thermals would have worked better. Waste of money for a falsely advertised product!
Kept me warm at minus 20. That’s all I could ask.
very nice and warm
Nice combination of thin and warm. As good as my hard-to-wash silks.
Very agitated. Wore these base layer pants for one week and they ripped a big hole at the waist band. First time I've had to write a disappointing review for Carhartt.
Keeps you warm and is very comfortable. Will definitely buy again.
Great. Very comfortable, I work twelve to thirteen hours a day, climbing in and out of a truck all day long and I’m not having to adjust them all the time like some of my other thermal’s. No complaints.
This product does a great job of keeping me warm.
Great quality and warm!
Love them!!
GREAT PRODUCT GREAT SERVICE
Good quality clothes
Good product. Appears to be able to hold up for several years of hard winter use. Kept me nice and toasty even in minus 15 degree temps in February of 2021. The polar Vortex was not a problem with these guys on. The Ozarks are an aggressive environment. Looks like these guys will hold up.
Don’t think it’s as warm as the old force. Not impressed.
Super comfortable. Excellent fabric. Soft, very flexible. I have a few different bottom layers, these are easily my favorite.
Great warmeth
Bought as a gift for someone who works outside in the winter. He says they are a great base layer.
Good fit. Very happy.
Pretty heavy..i will buy again
RUNS LOOSE FITTING AND A BIT ITCHY
My husband works out in the cold and loves your products!!
Base layers are always an issue, usually to tight and constricting.
These my friends are warm comfy and above all just comfortable not to tight not to loose, and defiantly a must have item
I work outside a lot.. I am an aircraft mechanic in Minneapolis.. a couple years ago the design was changed on these and the quality is not the same.. The old waffle knit was warmer and more durable.. these are just ok... they are better than most else that is out there but the quality is less than before.
The only thermal wear I buy
When working outside in the cold you need to have a great Base Layer. These thermal pants fit true to size. They are super soft and plenty warm. They are moisture wicking which is needed in my line of work. They are flexible, making it easy to move every which way while working. I absolutely love them! Highly recommend for anyone that wears a base layer whether for work or play. Great job Carhartt!

**I received these thermal pants as part be of the Carhartt field testing crew.
Reviewing as a field tester for Carhartt. This is an awesome base layer pant for cold temps and winter weather very warming but not restrictive
I recently wrote a review for the matching 1/4 zip shirt and like I stated before I’d buy in a set. They keep you dry and warm all day long and they don’t bind while under regular clothes. It’s nice having the pocket in front as well. Try them out you won’t be sorry.
Received these thermal pants for Carhartt field testing. They strike a nice balance between being very warm, lightweight, and comfortable. Wore under double-front jeans or canvas pants in single-digit temperatures with negative wind chills and my legs stayed warm while moving/working. Their light weight is nice for putting in a pack if it gets too warm while hunting or hiking. They are also comfortable to lounge in in warmer temperatures! Pants are true to size and seem durable, however, I have heard thread stretching when I put them on from time to time (I wear size large and am between a 34-36 waist).
This is a very nicely thought out base layer. Even though it's a heavyweight layer it is perfect to use with your unlined pants. I did feel they could be a touch longer. That is why I kept one star.
I received this set of base layer pants for a Carhartt Crew Filed Test to test its warmth, comfort, and durability in real world working conditions. This is by far the warmest and most comfortable set of base layer pants I have ever worn. I wore them over the winter in Colorado and Wyoming in cold weather, heavy snow, and strong winds. I was warm and comfortable no matter what Mother Nature threw at me. They wick away moisture and move with me all day. I would recommend this base layer for anyone who works outdoors in the winter.
Had the chance to trial these on a field test, very warm and durable. nice snug fit, plenty of room to flex and move. No need for extra layers with these, wore with Carhartt lined bibs and was very comfortable all day
Really good and very warm comfortable insulated pants.
Bought these to use as an alternative to fleece lined work pants. Much prefer these as it provides more flexibility, yet keeps you warm. They fit well and pair with my canvas work pants. I particularly like the idea that if the weather warms up enough, I can simply take them off, whereas with lined pants, you're stuck unless you keep an additional pair of pants with you. These launder well too. The seams in them are placed well so there's no "tugging" or tightness. To me, they're a great cold weather investment.
For many years we had purchased the base force heavyweight cotton thermals for my husband who works outside construction in the northeastern states. Those always kept him warm and they were comfortable. We called and were told this was the new replacement so we ordered a pair for him to try. He wore them on a 35 degree day with some wind. He came home from work and told me to throw them away that they were completely useless. He said the wind cut right through them and he was cold all day. This purchase was not Carhartt quality and very disappointing. What a waste of money. Onto to the hunt for thermals that will keep him warm.
This is just an early review , I have not worn them for any length of time yet. They are not as heavy as the previous model, but are light weight and more flexible. Im not sure if they are as warm as the previous model. Pay close attention to the carhartt sizing chart. In the previous model , I wore a large , in these I were a medium. Im returning mine for the right size. And this time i'll probably order the ones with the wool, assuming they are warmer.
My husband said he liked them, they are quite heavy, heavier than we thought, but are very happy with the product
