K124 - Loose Fit Midweight Crewneck Sweatshirt

Love the fit and weight of the sweatshirt, great Carhartt quality. Very happy and looking to buy a few more.

You can just feel how much thicker this sweatshirt is than the average sweatshirt. All the seams are nicely made. It just feels like a quality sweatshirt.

Nice mid weight sweatshirt. Just wishing that Carhartt still made the heavyweight pull over sweatshirt that works better for me because I work outside in the winter and they were much warmer.

I like the slight snugness at the neck. Through the shoulders, chest and belly true to size feels good and looks good. Little long but does not detract. I like the garment and recommend to those seeking a nice looking and very functional mid weight garment. Perfect for layering.

I bought these sweatshirts for work. I bought the loose-fitting sweatshirts they are true to size with extra room for movement. I would buy these sweatshirts again and recrement them to a friend.

Very nice quality.

I bought a replacement and it is not the same. The new sweatshirt has more polyester and is not nearly as comfortable. It also has more stretch and does not fit as well around my neck. Very disappointed. What happened to 100% cotton?

A smidge longer than expected, otherwise perfect.

I like the sweatshirt but wish Carhartt would offer medium sizes in tall. I am tall and slim with long arms and the tall sizes offered only apply to the large and up. The sleeves on the large tall are long enough but it fits me like a tent. If I order a medium to fit better, the sleeves are over 2" above my wrists with my arms at my sides, even more stretched out. This applies also to other items Carhartt offers. Everything bigger and "relaxed" fit. Another way of saying people are getting fatter.

I think it is a good quality sweatshirt. My only complaint is fit around neck is tighter than I’d like

It's nice, which may or may not be a compliment for a Carhartt product. It seems to be of typical Carhartt quality - dense fabric, good stitching, great quality control - but come on folks, what's with all the loose-fitting items in the catalog? That stuff balloons on me like a circus tent, but try to find a mid-weight or heavyweight crewneck sized for regular-fit.<br /><br />If the loose fit is the right cut for you, or if you don't mind a kind of baggy sweatshirt, I recommend these. They are made better than others out there.<br /><br />But please make more items in "regular" or "original" fit or whatever code name you want to use. And for pity's sake, bring back Carhartt brown. If I'm wearing Carhartt, I want it to look like Carhartt.

Excellent construction and sewing. Very functional design. <br />Cold water wash and hang dry—no noticeable shrinkage or color fade. Like the first sweatshirt so well bought several more to have on hand between washings.

I have worn Carhartt sweatshirts most of my life. These two new mid weights simply continue the tradition. Well made, ample fit. Just about perfect.

This sweatshirt is more than I expected, literally. First; when Carhartt labels it X-Large, it is extra large. I was surprised, and had to return it. Large is what I want-loose and roomy on a 165 pound guy. Second: midweight is what many other makers would call heavyweight. It is warm enough with just a T shirt to keep me comfortable at 55 degrees. When I worked on the railroad, the guys who had to be outside, doing dirty jobs in New England’s worst weather, almost all wore Carharrt. My wife sews, and she commented on how well-made the sweatshirt is. The price makes it an excellent value. I should note that I bought the grey heather color because it is 90/10 cotton/poly, and don't know what the 50/50 ones are like.

Perfect for what we want

The fit is generous. I dozed down from a LAEGE to MED and I still have plenty of room. Regular length is still a bit long for a shorter torso. Sleeve length is perfect. Construction is solid.

Made with 50% polyester now not 100% cotton. Doesn’t look as well or wear as well. Traded quality for profit. Now accumulates fur balls because of polyester. Going to be buying champion reverse weave for now on that are made with 100% cotton.

I purchased this XL Tall sweatshirt a couple of months ago. I have been wearing a couple of other brand sweatshirts that are now threadbare after 25 or so years, and I have been searching for replacements. I washed this new one and dried it on the Low setting. I didn't notice any or much shrinkage. Yes, this sweatshirt is "roomy", but that's the way I like my sweatshirts. And if it does shrink just a little in the future, it still won't be too tight. The sleeves are plenty long for my 37" long arms, and it extends well below my beltline. I wasn't sure what "Midweight" really meant compared to sweatshirts I bought in the past. For me it's perfect. It's plenty warm, but not bulky like another major brand I bought a few years ago. I plan to buy 1 or 2 more of these sweatshirts as soon as more color choices are available. This sweatshirt is made by our friends in Mexico, and the fabric and sewn seams are very high quality. It's the attention to detail. For example, it has a hanging loop inside the back neck. Although I don't use it, this is a sign that someone put extra thought into the design and didn't skimp on every little thing that could save a couple of cents in manufacturing. It's nice that a company realizes that customers don't mind paying a little more for quality. I highly recommend this sweatshirt.

Carhartt sweatshirts are NOT made like they use to be! Now they are thin and come in a loose fit that is very baggy looking. My husband has one I purchased 5 years ago and still in great shape. Compared to the sweatshirts today they are the loose fit, very thin and cheaply made. Very disappointed!

Sweatshirt was beautiful, but having a long trunk, I always order tall. We’ll let me tell you, this was made for a “tall” man. I’d say if you’re not 6’4” or taller it’s probably too long.

Replacing an 8-year Carhartt crew neck with this one was a complete disappointment. Construction went from an 80/20 blend to 50/50. Went out and found a Hanes. Last Carhartt sweatshirt I ever buy.

I purchased a gray and black sweatshirt for my husband. The black sweatshirt after 2 washings started to fall apart around the waist band in front. The stitching came apart. I will have to hand sew to fix where stitching is gone. They are a heavy material. My husband really likes them. He is tall. They fit his arm length very well.

We just had a lot of snow and cold temperatures here in central Illinois. With this Carhart sweat shirt and a pair of Carhart Artic insulated coveralls I was able to remove the snow in no time, from both driveways and my sidewalk with NO CHILL, IT's GREAT WINTER CLOTHES.

I have purchased many a Carhartt outerware. Always warm and lasting. Didn't need another sweatshirt. Mine that I have on now is 5 or 6 years old, been washed a lot in that time frame, barely faded and never has it shrunk. Just wanted a different color. Buy some. Life is too short to settle for less

This Carhartt Midweight Crewneck Sweatshirt is every thing I was looking for. Fits great, looks great, and feels great.

A bit more expensive, but worth it. It has a very nice weight, thicker than an ordinary sweatshirt. It's roomy and large. The sleeves are a nice length, I wear a 33-34 sleeve and the XL fits me great. Ordinary sweatshirt sleeves aren't quite long enough.

Love the carhartt sweaters! I am a small girl and size small in men’s is too big! I would LOVE it if carhartt would start making the men’s clothing in size XS OR start making the women’s clothing with the option of having the same fit and selection of styles/ colours!

Overall I love this sweatshirt. A good looking quality item. My only complaint is the cuffs on the sleeves are a little tight. I'm a big guy 6'7' and 325 lbs, and said cuffs are a little tight on me. I'm hoping they loosen up a bit with time.

I gave away other sweatshirts and replaced them with Carhartt sweatshirts. They're are excellent.

So far,so good. I’ve only wore it once.

The body was a little big, but the length was perfect. I had also purchased a quarter zip sweatshirt that is a little short. Odd that two sweatshirts from the same company are different lengths.<br />I would also have liked it to be 100% cotton, as my prior purchases through retail stores were 100% cotton. That was also years ago. I’m not sure why companies are getting away from all cotton for sweats, as everyone I know prefer all cotton.

This product runs a little large, I usually wear an XL but purchased a Large because I heard they are a bit bigger and I couldn’t be happier, sweater fits great.

The XL tall is the perfect fit for me. No more cold wrists or waist line issues.

.I now have three of them. I wear them in my shop almost daily during the colder months.

Nice thick material. Keeps me warm with nothing underneath. Layered over a long sleeve t-shirt it's plenty warm for chilly northwest spring mornings. Looks and feels great and seems rugged as you would expect from Carhartt. Would buy another no question.

The only thing my husband requested specifically for Christmas was a replacement Carhartt Sweatshirt. His old one is at least 8 years old and beat up and has put all the other sweatshirts he owns to shame. I could not find one at any local stores that carry the brand without hoods. I was searching for a basic warm Carhartt sweatshirt. No zipper/No hood. Unfortunately, I could only find this one in the men's section. SO comfortable, but the arms were way too long on me. Great quality, nice weight and soft, for any men who are looking at this sweatshirt. My hope is that someone from Carhartt reads this and considers making a basic sweatshirt in Women's sizes or offer an x-small in Men....

My husband usually wears an XL, but the L in this sweatshirt fits great. It can be worn very casual or even a little nicer, if desired. Material is very soft and had good warmth. A base layer would make it even more perfect for chilly weather.

I typically wear an XL but this was huge on me. Ended up giving it to my dad and bought a large. Very warm and comfortable.

I'm 6 ft tall and weigh 200 lbs and wear an XL for most everything but I've been washing this sweatshirt in hot water hoping it would shrink and so far it maintains it original shape which is a testament to it's quality but now I wouldn't feel right about sending it back. Will order a large in a week or so ....REALLY like these sweatshirts.

Love this, It run's about a 1/2 size big, I'm usually between 2 and 3X. The 2X fits loose. I was so pleased with the first one that this is my second one in a different color.

I have 3 midweight hoodies and wanted a sweat without a hood. The material on this feels slightly different, but is not bad. Still midweight and the fit is roughly the same, as i expected. I like the shirts a lot. The sizes are good. The only bad is that the cuffs are a little too tight and do not stretch.<br />But over all I am very happy with them.

These mid weight crew neck sweat shirts are great. I have several of these in different colors. They wear nice and are comfortable. Wash and dry no problems. Plenty of room to move too and made very well.

Not heavy enough for what I needed.

a bit bulky but not too much and its a cotton / polyester blend so just be aware when you're trying to layer for warmth. The only issue is that it does pill, even after being washed a few times, and fiber can be found all over whatever shirt I have underneath.

We have been buying Carhartt items for our employees for years whenever they reach a 1 year, 5 year or 10 year anniversary. The heavy weight crewneck sweatshirt is no longer available. This is not a substitute - the material was shiny and the inside fleece was cheap. They won't last and that's not what we want to give our employees - will be looking for an alternative.

I'm a loyal Fan of this company. I called looking for the best sweat-shirt made by them which has been discontinued. I agree with Don C about this only replacement. This is a mid-weight crew basic sweat shirt, although <br />still the best I can find for the money. The Rain defender was the top of the line.

It is exactly as advertised, which is exactly what I wanted. Having played football through college and still lifting weights to the day, I am a pretty big guy. Very large chest, shoulders, arms etc. So hard to find something that has plenty of room and these sweatshirts are just the ticket. I bought 4XL and after several washings it is still 4XL. Beefy, soft, warm sweatshirt. I will not buy any other brand again.

The material is not as thick as the mid weight i bought a couple years ago and the body section is to long, sleeves and overall fit is good. Would not bother me to get my money back.

These shirts are great! They are warm and very long wearing, and the Large -Tall fits perfectly without riding up.

I bought this for my husband because he has the same one in black and it's his favorite sweatshirt! Bought the same exact size. However, the grey one I just bought fits almost too big. So if sizing has changed I would recommend ordering a size smaller.

The cost is high for my income, but I like the quality on all my purchases made. My gut is a bit large because I am 68 and not active. With that said it makes the shirt feel short; no fault of yours. In all said. I am happy with the product, and I will work on downsizing my body.

Comfortable material and appears to be well made. It runs much larger than anticipated though. I usually order a Large but ordered a Mediium as I had read that they run large. I should have ordered a Small as it’s quite baggy. Shipping etc was great though.

Carhartt makes the best sweatshirts, period. I like how it fits; not too tight or too baggy, but with room to move. The sleeves are just the right length and the cuffs maintain elasticity through the life of the sweatshirt. The tough cotton fabric holds up very well to hard work, and then through the washer

The description really didn't match the product. I have an old - heavyweight crewneck sweatshirt that I want to replace and hoped that the Carhartt product would at least come close... it did not.

This is my second purchase of this style sweatshirt and they are great. Just received my Dark Crimson and love the color. I would tend to say they run a bit big. I usually wear XL but I felt like I was swimming in it, so I got a large. Also it seems to be a little long but it's fine because it won't ride up when you bend over like other sweatshirts.

I bought two, a grey and a black. They are XL in size designation, but, XXL in actuality. The grey has a higher cotton content, so in my mind it had a chance to shrink. I wore it and washed it. Shrinkage??? Not much. It's now just XXL. So, I’m keeping it since it’s been worn and washed. But, the black one, with its lower cotton, higher polyester content..... assuming a lower shrinkage tendency, is being returned. The shirts seem to be of very good quality. They are made in China and look OK. It's the sizing and the inconvenience of having to order, determine through guesswork the proper fit, then return the goods that don't (will never) fit.... too much hassle! Good luck!
