WAY TO BIG! They say “loose fit” but they used to be called “regular fit” for years (same K87 style#) <br />If you’re normally a large, SIZE DOWN to a medium, etc.Find one of these shirts in a tractor supply, bass pro etc and hold your normal size up to your chest and look at how abnormally huge these are. Do better Carhartt. I used to wear these for years and was used to the size down problem but now they have skimped on quality these shirts down even fit or feel the same anymore. Not worth the money in 2022. Won’t be buying these again. Hate to leave such a negative review but just want to save other customers their time ordering/returning and money

I have purchased and worn these shirts for work for 25 years. I must have bought 300. They were durable and the pocket was a great place for my phone. The new shirts are now called "Loose fit" not "regular fit" are they are bigger and the cotton seams to be of a lower quality. The shirt feels like a dickies T shirt. I guess if it feels like a dickies t shirt why not just buy a dickies t shirt at less than 1/2 the price. Very upset with the new shirts I returned most of them they are too large. They are great if your giving up on life and gaining weight.

I always get the Carhartt lose fit short sleeve pocket T-shirt. In the recent past the neck openings were too big. I did not buy but about 2 in the light grey color. The neck was acceptable. This week I bought a dark blue color, almost grey, and the neck was snug and was great. I still like the sleeves to come down close to my elbow, this shirt did. I still have to try on the shirts in the store, Steven's Creek Surplus, in San Jose, CA. They don't like me doing that but it's the only way I pick the tight fit. Please continue to keep that neck opening snug. I'll be the one to make it looser. <br />I'm a retired senior in my 70's and like jeans and good looking T's.

I normally wear an XL. The XL was way too big, closer to a XXL/XXL. It measured just over 27” pit to pit, across the chest laying flat. I sized down to an L, which was more appropriate. Still feels a little too big. Material is nice, not quite as thick as I would like but thicker than most other shirts on the market.

Great shirts. I’m 5’10” 180lbs and the large was a little to big so I bought mediums. The Length of the shirt goes to my zipper in my pants and they are a little snug but I use them mostly for under shirts. If you go with a large they’re a little baggier and definitely need to be tucked in.

Nice thick material, but the shoulders and sleeves are absolutely huge. They come hallways down my forearm. It fits okay the mid-section, buts to long as well.
The gray shirt's neck is stretched when I got it out of package, the darker shirt fits perfect. I need you to replace gray shirt, will call Monday. If all gray shirts have bigger neck opening I need a different color. I have other shirts made by you

You get what you pay for. When you get to the "real" man's sizes 4 and 5X a heavy weight shirt is hard to find but, Carhartt has you covered. All the other ones are so thin you can see daylight thru them. Just get Carhartt and wear them for years.
They weren't the heavy weight they had been in the past.....It was like a regular T

I'm 6'2" and around 150Lbs on a good day. So, to say I'm tall and skinny would be accurate. In ordering this shirt I had to make an educated guess on the size because I have other t-shirts from Carhartt that range from Large too Small. (That all fit comfortably.) I ordered medium for this shirt and found it to be just a tad too big. And maybe that's because it a loose fit shirt, don't know. I say all this because I coming to the realization there is no standard in sizing. (Which is frustrating when your only option is to order online.) If you are a new customer looking for great quality clothing, you can't beat Carhartt. Just remember you may have to order twice to get the size you need, and it will vary on the type of shirt you are ordering!

It is a nice shirt. The loose fit runs big. I exchanged it for a relaxed fit in the same size (L) and liked that fit better on me. would definitely recommend the carhartt brand. Just buy your first one in the store or be willing to exchange.

I already have a bunch of long sleeve tees so wanted to try the short sleeve version .. they fit and feel exactly the same which is perfect for me. also the pocket is big enough to fit my glasses. I usually wear a large but for the Carhartt tees I wear a medium. they don't shrink much either. I do wish there were more solid colors instead of the heather.

I know that this is a loose fit shirt. The problem is that it is not true to size. The medium I bought is a tent on me, but the neck is pretty tight. Since the neck is so rigid it sort of feels like a collar which I don’t care for. <br />Nice color and well made.
Really liked these shirts. Got them on clearance at a great price. Other tee shirts advertise as being soft, but that translates into being thin. These are soft and thick. What's not to love?

I ordered the same size (large) loose fit pocket T-shirt and it fits me like a X-large or XX-large. Would a medium size loose fit be closer to the large size original fit? nice heavy weight shirts. I always wear a large, but medium is just right. I wish they were a little softer, but I like the longer sleeve length for short sleeves.
I ordered a Loose Fit and a Relaxed Fit - both in Large. The relaxed fit is perfect. The loose fit looks like I'm wearing an XXL. The size difference between the two fit types is ridiculous. They're not even close. So, I washed the shirt in hot water, and dried it on the highest setting until it was about to burst into flames. Still way too big. That's disappointing because the "Soft Green Nap" color is really nice, and the material has kind of a pebbly feel which is awesome. Definitely high quality, but sizing is way off.
I'm about 6' 210 lb, and the XL is way too big. Also the low-cotton fabric isn't going to shrink. The fabric has also got a weird unappealing pattern that isn't totally obvious in the photos.

The description on the website now includes that "neps" are 60% cotton/40% poly. Didn't have it before so figured it was 100% cotton. <br /><br />The poly does make the shirt a bit "sticky."<br /><br />Collar droops as day goes on. <br /><br />It is a loose fit.

These t-shirts are of thinner material than the last ones I ordered. There is nothing heavyweight about these shirts. The neck band is also flimsy material. It is doubtful that I will order any more of these.

I only buy Carhartt shirts. They fit well and last 10 times longer than any other brand.
The fit is perfect! I’m a big guy, 3XL, and not all brands are the same dimensions for their “3XL”. The loose fit, length and thickness of the Carhartt material makes for the perfect fit as well as feel. The neck is not too tight, sleeve length and fit are great and it hangs just right on someone like me who is built for comfort and not so much for speed. LOL.
Well, these these Loose Fit Heavyweight Short Sleeve Pocket T- Shirts are my favorite Tees of all time. The light blue and white shirts are for when I want to dress up and every other color (mostly black) are my work shirts.<br />I expect to be buried in my nicest black, blue, or white T-shirt. Every single shirt I wear is carhartt. I love the quality. Second to none. however since you changed to loose and relaxed fit I find it hard to find mysize and avoid onlone pirchases now. Please readd regular fit. Not sure why you play word salad with your sizes.<br />Also some tshirt neck sizes are way to big for the shirt.

I love almost everything about this shirt. I know it says "Loose Fit", but it's a little bigger than I expected, but aside from that, it is a VERY high quality shirt. Feels great, the material is on the heavier side which I like. If I can shrink it a little, then it will be perfect.

I usually wear a Dickies 2XX pocket-T shirt but the Carthartt XL fits me perfectly. <br />The Dickies shirts fit but theyndo seem to accent my large gut. The Carhartt fits even<br />better and the loose fit doesn't contour around my gut. In other words the fit is perfect for me.<br />I'd like to see a better selection of colors and availibility but that just a result of the current supply and<br />transportation issues.

I would describe it as oversized, not loose fit. I got my normal size and it was incredibly large.

Bought these in a Tall - Large for my boyfriend and they are great for work! He is about 6'3" and they are long enough that they don't ride up when he wears his tool belt! He normally has to wear a XL for length but the Tall-Large has ample room in the loose fit

They are great and then you wash them and they shrink a bit in the length department. I washed them on cold and didn’t dry them in a dryer I hang dried them still they shrink.

Ordered a Loose XL and a Relaxed XL for my boyfriend and he preferred the Relaxed XL. The Loose XL is equivalent to an XXL in my opinion. Otherwise, great quality and heavyweight.

The Loose Fit Large size fit like a normal 2XL shirt. Many workers are probably okay with the roomier fit but I'd prefer Medium in the Loose Fit and Large in the Relaxed

Avoid anything “Nep” like the plague. Took a chance on one, and it’s awful. Whatever gives it the spotted look is rough and scratchy and ALL OVER the shirt. It’s the most uncomfortable itchy thing you could put on, and unnecessary because it doesn’t even looks very good. Unlike with a “Heather” design that is blended in with the fabric and not noticeable to the touch, this is miserable.

I don't like tight fitting shirts riding my torso all day long. These shirts are perfect, they fit my larger shoulder area perfectly and give plenty of space in the torso without being overly baggy like most larger t-shirts. I'm 5'7" 187 lbs. with large chest/shoulders.

I was going to return them because they run a little large. But then I read that I can’t return them at this time for some reason if it was bought on the Internet. So I’m wearing them and they’re fine I can’t find anything wrong with them. I’m glad they’re coming out with some nicer colors and I’ll them that same old Drab colors. Don’t get me wrong I have some drab colors but there’s times I want to wear something with a different color.

I bought these to wear for summer but they’re not quite summer material. These shirts are a heavier cotton and are awesome quality. I’ll certainly be wearing these this fall and winter. I am 6’4”, 240 lbs and I bought the XLT size. They fit perfect! They’re not the athletic cut we’re a XL is more like a medium. The sizes are built for us “bigger” guys.

Great Heavyweight Tee. Sizes run large. I usually wear a 2x and the XL fits instead. I do feel the length is a bit long when wearing untucked. I am also disappointed that after the first wash I have noticed Pilling on the Collar.

The rough finish gives a good tactile feeling reminiscent of years past.
These are not as nice as the regular fit original k87 tee shirts. They come out of the dryer with more wrinkles and don't hold their shape as well making them harder to fold. Please bring back the originals.

It is a wonderful t-shirt, great material, colors perfect, great looking shirt. The only problem was it was larger than I expected . I originally bought them for my grandson who wears a large but after opening the package they were given to his grandpa who wears a X-Large. My grandson loved them. I bought a yellow, blue , green but they were just too big for him. He is 6ft 180lbs. But anyway there a great shirt but just to large for him.Medium would have fit.
Fit is a little off, much longer than expected and a little tight in some spots and loose in others. Definitely great quality just off a little fit wise.

For me, it was just the right amount of width as well as (almost as important to me) length. I'm a big man and most larger shirts that fit me side to side end up being gowns to my knees almost. These are just the right fit. Have already purchased more colors.

I’ve worn Carhartt grey pocket short sleeved t-shirts for 35 years. This last shirt label said, made in Dominican Republic. The material isn’t Carhartt quality, and much thinner than anything I have in my drawers. If this is the new quality standard, I’m disappointed. Just not heavy enough, and feels unlike past shirts. The shirts labeled made in Honduras are much better. My hope is that the company goes back to shirts made in Honduras. Our local store in Spokane didn’t have any Honduras shirts in inventory.
I love the heaviness of it, but it is a little long for me at 5’6” to wear untucked.

Powder Blue Nep is not 100% cotton as advertised, tag is 60/40 blend. Hard to see in picture but the black flecks are some sort of thread that produce a rough bump on the fabric.
True heavy weight, and best of all, as long as they are supposed to be, not cheapened by robbing you of an inch maybe two at the bottom.
I like carhartt T shirts but not these . Do you call them loose fit because they are three sizes too big.
Mistakenly ordered the "Loose Fit" and it is way too baggy. I meant to order the "Relaxed Fit". The relaxed fit is perfect. <br /><br />In March I also ordered two long sleeve t-shirts that I had to return as the size, though marked "Medium" is actually like a XXL ! Usually we love these tshirts...my husband has the long sleeved and short sleeved ones. The last one we got has seams on the side that didn't get caught in the stitching so they look like holes...but there is not extra material to hand stitch them closed without making the seam look jagged. If i were a professional seamstress maybe I could figure out a way. Anyway, if this problem showed up more often we would just quit buying because i can't fix it. We ordered on line so I can't return it either. Normally a great t-shirt!

I like the shirts that I got. They fit great except, they appear to be made for a taller person. I’m a large man and I prefer my shirts to be loose fitting. Perfect above the belt fit, but they seem to hang down to mid thigh. I did order them larger, but it was like wearing a moo moo before I washed them. After washing the upper body fit, perfect. Still too long, otherwise it would be 5 stars.
What happened to original fit?
MAKE SURE TO BUY SIZE SMALLER. these shirts are great and I’ve been working in them for years. Almost all shirts I wear are medium and even some are very tight on me. When it comes to Carhartt I have to get a small and even those are a little lose.

Why did you ever change the brite lime from 100% cotton to 60/40???! You were the only game in town for hi via in all cotton. And…. you don’t list the change in description.
My husband has been wearing these shirts for "YEARS". It was time to re-stock them and looks like You can't get the Original Fit ones any more. ( I looked every where). Now they are being call the "loose Fit). He wears "M'. They are way to long. No, I did not order Big and Tall.<br />They"ll until I find something I like better. It also looks like the material has change, not good for long lasting.

Two of the three were cotton/poly mixes. I can't wear polyester (itches, makes me sweat) so I gave those away.<br /><br />The third was 100 percent cotton. Fits and looks and feels good.<br /><br />You really need to segregate your two types in online ads.
The fit is perfect in sizing and being loose fitting. Pocket is strong enough to be functional. Color hasn't faded at all after 5 washes, even a few my daughter ran on hot with a bleach alternative (which isn't recommended). Shirt is soft yet strong, seams are well constructed without being uncomfortable like some heavyweight tees. Great buy, I'll be back for more.

I knew it said “loose fit” but didn’t realize how loose. I like the material and color so I ordered another one only a small instead of medium. It fits perfectly so I’d give the small five stars! I will use the loose/big medium for dirty work, maybe even as a rag!

I’m 5’10’’, 150lbs, with a 31” waist but fairly wide shoulders and upper body. The Loose Fit Medium size is just right. It’s not snug on my body so breathes and is not too hot to wear in warm weather. The sleeves are not too short or snug either. I could probably wear a size Small and/or a slimmer fit, but I don’t feel comfortable in snug t-shirts with short, tight sleeves. I have noticed the cotton fabric feels a bit less thick and smooth than the same style t-shirts I bought 1-2 years ago. Also I wish the neck opening wasn’t quite so large. But overall it’s a great shirt.
Car hart is a great product. The shirts fit to size. Many colors to choose from and are very durable. Mu husband will only wear this brand and has for the last 25 yrs.

This is a quality, heavyweight t-shirt that stands up to hard work and multiple washings. It does run a little large, like most Carhartt products, so can order one size down usually. Well worth the money.
Don’t care for the loose fit. Normally by the classic fit. But it’s hard to find nowadays. The loose fit only seems loose in the upper arm area. The rest of it fits like regular fit. Not sure how many people look for the loose arm fit .? Loose upper arm fit. I laid are three styles of fit on top of one another. that and the look in the mirror tells my story. Harder and harder to find 100% cotton shirts from Carhartt is also a struggle in recent times. I learned the hard way that not all t shirts are 100% cotton more and more are a blend which I just and wear. The poly blends give a terrible smell I do not get from 100% cotton. I wear mostly Carhartt products and have for years. But my have to start looking for other brands.

I have dozens of those Loose Fit Heavyweight Short-Sleeve Pocket T-Shirts. I wear the t-shirt when I'm moving a lot sweating a lot doing outdoor stuff. I also love wearing when I'm volunteering at a local animal shelter as well. I like the fabric and the style etc. I love everything about it honestly. I would highly recommend the t-shirts they are very comfortable and breezy and the arm length is perfect for covering my arms from the sun as well.
Lots has changed with these. Been purchasing Carhartt shirts for just over 10 years for my husband and now that the 'original' fit has been named loose fit, they are cut different and the fabric is different. I returned them all. Going to have to research to find a new work shirt for him.

Best shirt I’ve ever owned nice thick and stays tucked in. Also purchased a new belt and pretty sure it’s going a good one. I’ll be buying more Carhartt.
I weighed this new t-shirt and a much older t-shirt of the same model and was surprised to discover the older one after, maybe a hundred of more washings, was significantly heavier than the new t-shirt. Disappointing.
I only buy CARHARTT's Pocket T-Shirts. I love them and know that I'm getting high quality at a reasonable price.
