The sweater was almost two sizes too big, tried to do a wash to make it smaller but now it messed up the carhartt logo weird, can’t even wear the sweater in public anymore. I am very frustrated with this purchase, why don’t you guys have the correct size on the labels? 1/10
I am new to Carhartt. It is a terrific Sweatshirt. Not too hot and warm enough for those late fall early winter days. Great fit. First rate cloth. Durable zipper. Did not shrink with washing / dryer.
Let me just say: I know I gained some weight earlier in the fall. The full zip hoodie stretches out comfortably after wearing a few hours, but straight out of the dryer, it’s not “loose.”

Nothing cheap about this hoodie. Extremely well made, tough fabric, plenty of room for layering. Extremely versatile. Plus, a real, strong metal zipper; not plastic, like you find on more expensive jackets.<br />At this price point, really a bargain. Will last for years.
Really good quality. Nice color. Washes well so far. Definitely order one size smaller than you usually wear. I wear an extra-large in virtually everything except Car Hart where a large fit me perfectly. Love it so far. The price is a bit painful but so far, I think it's worth it.

Way too long and zipper was trash - very easily stuck and feels like it would break within a couple months. For a fifty dollar sweatshirt the quality of the zipper shouldn’t be this bad.
Replaced a Carhartt just like this I purchased 15-20 years ago. This one seems to be of good quality and is exactly what I was looking for. I will be completely satisfied if it lasts even half as long as my previous Carhartt sweatshirt.
It was the size I wear and was suppose to be a lose fit it was to small .
Although I ordered this online, I am glad that I took the advice of the very helpful salesperson in the store and ordered a large instead of an extra large for they are made big. My husband was very pleased!

Like the cut and fit. The material is not very soft and the zipper is crude.
The fit is good but it seems carhartt is getting stingy on the string length for the hood. It could use an extra 3 or 4 inches per side.
Returned the zip up hooded jacket and got a refund because the zipper was very difficult to zip.

I love this sweatshirt. I'm 6ft6in 350 and purchased a 4xl. It's big even on me. It's made excellent with a heavy duty zipper. It has an over sized hood just the way I like. My mother likes this and wants me to order one for her. I'm even thinking about ordering a smaller size to fit under jacket when riding my motorcycle. Love it, fits great, and I would definitely offered again.

I've spent several years buying cheap hoodies while swearing by Carhartt crewnecks, so when it came time to get a new hoodie I decided to give this one a try. After a lot of searching and waiting for one to come in stock, I was so excited when I finally found one. I think maybe two days have gone by since it arrived that I haven't worn it - I'm already thinking about buying a second. It's the perfect mid-weight where I can wear it to keep warm when it's cold in the mornings, but I also can wear it as a lighter outer layer when it's not quite warm enough to go in just a t-shirt.
I replaced an American Giant hoodie with this one and am much happier. The AG one was too short and too stiff, but this one has the length needed (I ordered a tall, something that isn't available from AG) and it is very warm. I didn't want something that was too loose so I ordered a size down from my typical Carhartt shirt size and it fits perfect.

XL is generously sized. I’m 6’ and 240 lbs. it looks pretty much like the photo. It’s a great top layer on cold work days. Material is thick and sturdy. The zipper is heavy duty. Pockets are not very deep. Definitely what I wanted.

The jacket is too long for my torso. Its well built and warm but does not fit me correctly and should be sold to taller people.

I do not like it. Loose fit should not fit like a dress. The length should not be 10 inches longer when just the sides need to be a little wider. I have give. Both away and looking to purchase another brand that fits correctly

I like the sweatshirt but HATE the zipper. <br />It's very hard to get the zipper started. The zipper is also a lot smaller than the zippers on my Rain Defender sweatshirts and Duck Jackets. <br />I really wanted a good lightweight Carhart full zipper sweatshirt and I'm very disappointed in this one!
High quality very warm.
Jacket runs a size larger than normal. Ordered extra large. Being 6’5”, so ordered a tall. Arm length is good. Bottom of jacket comes to mid thigh. No shrinkage when dried. So, a regular is too short and a tall is too long. Good side, made well.

I normally wear a L/T… I’m 6 foot two and weigh about 235 pounds. I was very excited to find a hoodie in a large/tall. I was incredibly disappointed when I took this out of the package and put it on it is enormous. I was going to try to return it but unfortunately I have washed it already and they do not accept returns once it has been washed.<br /><br />I guess I am stuck with it? If I order another one I will probably just order a medium. I haven’t worn anything in size medium since I was in junior high school 30 years ago. Carhartt please think about sizing your Clothing appropriately. It’s not like I can go to a Carhartt store and try it on I depend on ordering things online.

It's a thicker shirt so he stays nice and warm. It's appears to be made with the usual Carhart care too. I think he'll have it for a long time.
I like this garment. It's comfortable and very warm. The solid construction tells me that it will be durable for years to come. Carhart makes a quality product.

This is a well-made zip hoodie with good attention to finish and details. If there’s anything wrong with it, it would be that it’s too much. The length is much more than I need and makes it less functional than it could be if it were a little shorter.

I received the large regular, loose fit, full zip, hooded sweatshirt for Christmas 2021. I am a 6.0 ft. 210 lb. male and the fit is just fine. In it's new state there is plenty of room underneath should additional insulation be required. It should provide good service in our Virginia climate.

Great hoodie. Exactly as described and, thanks to the sizing application, I got the correct size. The zipper broke on my beloved old hoodie, purchased at a yard sale, and the nylon zipper on its eBay replacement broke after just a week. Although not described in the Carhartt ad, this hoodie has a great brass zipper that looks like it will last forever.
Fits exactly like the heavyweight loose fit full-zip rain rain defender, only lighter weight. This one is perfect for working outside when the temps first start to drop... then switch over to the heavyweight when the chill really sets in. The two make a perfect set.

I bought this one and a few other off brands for my husband, the others are of decent quality but he only wears this Carhartt, it fits well, seems to be very well made of quality materials, he cuts, splits and hauls wood with it on and it holds up to the strain. Cutting wood is messy business but this hoodie takes it in stride.

Excellent and durable zip-up hoody! Great quality cotton and does not shrink in wash! Sizes are on the large side. So… if your usually an XL, you may way to try a Large first. I use XXL in T-Shirts and my XXL is much baggier than other XXL hoodies I e purchased ie (lu-lu Lemon, NIKE etc)

I know this will be a special gift for my son who is in the military. I am so proud of him and how hard he works to keep us all safe. This is one special item that he liked very much.
Many hooded sweatshirts look somewhat funky, in my opinion. Then again, I am French, so my judgment is tainted by a long habit of a more stylish dress code. However, I found this Carhartt dark green sweatshirt to be of much better in quality than others I have seen before. It is made of a heavier cotton and it is better finished than expected. The zipper is strong, it doesn't catch, there are no loose threads, and the fitis perfect.<br />My husband is 8'2", 78lbs, he wears a Medium.

This is a great jacket. I wear to play disc golf on those cold days. It's loose fit, so my body is not restricted and I can throw discs with no hindering of my arm and body movements. Sizing is perfect.

I've been wearing these for over 30 years and I only have a couple of issues with them. First is that the elastic at the wrists stretches out prematurely and they aren't made in the US. Other than that they are great.

I am 5'10 and 215lbs so I ordered a size L Tall like the throw over and jacket i ordered from Carhartt previously because large is to tight and XL is to big. L Tall gives me the sleeve length and bottom length that it fits perfectly and has just the right amount of room inside that it's not constricting like the Large would be. I normally wear size XXL shirts so this was the perfect in between. The zipper is very well made and is full metal rather than plastic. I cannot praise this hoodie enough just like their other products I have purchased.

I bought this Midweight Hooded Zip-Front Sweatshirt for my husband in a navy blue, it fit true to size and the color has not faded a bit so far. He works in retail and they keep it really cold in the department he works in so he wears a zipped hoody to keep the chill off. Overall very satisfied to see that it has lasted through the wear and tear of heavy lifting every day, I would definitely recommend this and would most definitely will be buying more. I love it. The thing that impressed me the most is the type of zipper used. It's not a flimsy, plastic type, and is designed for wear and tear. Overall, the weight is sufficient for what I need. Keeps me comfortable on the slightly chilly days.
Wish the zipper at top could keep zipping up a half inch higher than where it stops, but great stuff.

We love this hoodie. I bought this in Navy for my fiancé. He's a tall, thin man at 6'3", and it's often difficult to find something that fits his long limbs. The large tall turned out to be way too long, but the large fits him perfectly, and makes the perfect lounging about the house hoodie for me, when he's not wearing it. The navy color is a dream, to boot.

My husband who wears a Large Tall absolutely loves his sweatshirt! He wears it all the time even here in New Mexico where the mornings and evenings can be chilly during Spring and inside places where the air conditioning is on. Quality, fit, length of torso and sleeves are just right for a 6'2" slim man.

My only issue I had was the ease of use of your site. I was using gift cards I got for Christmas and didn’t realize the sale didn’t finalize. So I through the one away I thought was spent. So when the item didn’t show up I checked and it was still in my basket. So I had to use my other gift card. So I lost $50 dollars on the transaction. Which I would have spent. But I love my jacket.

I work for the railroad (all the live long day), and because of that my clothes take a beating. This hoodie has held up for several years! with the only issue being the cuffs fraying, a small hole in the sleeve, and the tab for my zipper busted off. But I fault my job causing those issues and not a lack of quality. This is a top notch product, comfortable and warm. Highly recommend!!!!

These are very good light weight hoodies but they have changed a bit from last year's version. Last year they called them relaxed fit. This year's is called original fit. This year's version runs a bit larger but lacks the inner cell phone pocket. I still like them and would have bought them in case but I do prefer the ones I bought last year.

This is perfect for casual wear around town, during cool weather. I have a heavy weight, insulated sweatshirt that I've been using at work for the past 15 years, and because I've had such great luck with that product, I figured this recent purchase would probably be just as good. So far it's holding up very well.

I bought this sweatshirt for my husband. It is the moss color but he also has a navy one. the sweatshirt is comfortable and a perfect weight for under his coveralls when he works in the shop. The material holds up well to his work. The full zipper makes it easy for him to get it on and off. It' a great sweatshirt.

I needed a long, zip-front sweatshirt with a front pocket for work. I am a 5'9" female. The Adult Tall sizing is perfect -- the longer body covers my fanny and does not ride up. Thanks, Carhartt! I chose the grey color because 'Grey' has a higher cotton content in the fabric than the other colors. It keeps me warm in the car as I drive to work in the dark, and cool indoors as I shop for people's groceries. I use the front pockets to hold the shopper device, extra vinyl gloves, and plastic produce bags. The stitching at the pockets is sturdy and rugged, so I don't worry about ripping. After every shift, I wash it. I zip it up, then put it in the washIng machine with Tide powder and a hot water cottons cycle. To prevent shrinkage and keep the zipper safe, I hang it to dry over a drying rack, it takes six hours to air-dry. Carhartt: What are your plans for the spring catalog? Put me down for a 'Lightweight' Hooded Zip-front Sweatshirt -- I will need one!
Midweight sweatshirt is perfect for days out in the shop when it is too cool for a long sleeve, but not cold enough for the big guns. Plenty of room and like everything else Carhartt makes, it will probably last forever. Very happy with my purchase.

I am 6'3". Even going to 2xl, the fit is often a bit short on most sweatshirts. I was able to order this Carhartt hoodie in 2xl Tall, which is awesome! It fits exactly like a comfy hoodie should. It's a plus that the quality is as great as it is. Brass zipper, water repellant shell, properly shaped hood. Just an outstanding hoodie. I will be ordering one or two more.

This works well when wearing vests. I'm 6'0" and 190 and the medium fits me well. I have long arms but the medium regular works fine, with no need to move to the tall version.

My husband went from 2xl to a 2XLT. Sizing with alot of manufacturers recently seem to have adjusted their measurements. Thing's run shorter in torso and arm length. This 2xlt fits beautifully!

I passed along to my teen son to knock around in for chores etc. So they are still in use!<br />Dad gets a couple new ones and bought [1] of these in Black to make sure size [medium] is still true. Well it was like Christmas again!! Fits great and same super quality I have known to expect. I have purchased 2 of the zippered hoodie sweat shirts,which I absolutely love,but unfortunately I have to write this negitive comment. One is a blue and the other one is a hivis yellow. These are warm and good hoodies, but the down fall is that both zipper pulls came off the zippers. I buy carhartt for their quality, but really putting a zipper in these hoodies that falls apart is unacceptable for the cost of these. I don't know if I will be buying any more carhartt products cause of this issue. Now I have 2 hoodies that are are still good but the zippers are broke. Like I said carhartt is noted for quality and is not cheap except for the fact the zippers are junk.

The hooded sweatshirt is actually a Christmas gift but when it arrived I was definitely impressed with the quality of the shirt. Being familiar with Carhartt jackets, this sweatshirt proved to be a winner.
So far this has been one of the most comfortable sweatshirts ive owned. It is very insulating. My only complaint personally is its on the heavier size so it stretches my collars out a little bit so i usually only wear it over henleys. But overall its great!

This is the perfect weight sweatshirt to wear over a long sleeve thermal and a tee shirt. Warm enough to keep me warm while working, easy to adjust the amount of opening with a full zipper. This is one of my favorite sweatshirts to get me though the winter.

Upon receiving the sweatshirt, I had a great deal of difficulty getting the zipper to function properly. Tried several times with the same results. decided to return the product to a local Carhartt store.
Like it so far. One of questions asked in review was durability. Well when you’ve only had it a couple weeks , you have to hope it lasts as long as sme of the other Carhartt gear I have.

The only flaw; too big compared to other products of the same size. Very nice sweatshirt, but don't see me wearing it much because of its large size. I did try washing it and drying it many times to shrink, but not much luck.

I'm a big guy and the fit is excellent. It's a comfortable medium weight and if I get too warm I can unzip the front.
This sweatshirt is heavier than I thought it would be. That's a good thing. The fit is spot on, the zipper is heavy duty and the color is as shown. No complaints. All in all a very good purchase.
I’ve been buyin Carhart for over 30 years. I can’t for the life of me figure out why you folks keep enlarging sizes. Bought the same item 3 years apart.... new stuff is so much bigger. Really disappointed.
this is my second sweatshirt in tall large. not too heavy for active wear, not too light for cold winds. will probably buy one in another color.
My son is 6-1 but only 150lbs. He usually prefers a large just for the length, but the Med size fit him perfectly! The dropped shoulder gave him enough length in the arms and the size Med did not blouse out around his waist.

The sweatshirt is very nice- good weight and fabric. The zipper is problematic. It is difficult to get started. After several tries you can get it aligned and zipped.
I am not happy at all. It is way bigger than the other xl carhartt hoodie I have. It's wears like a 3x.

Great over a tee shirt for first 2 layers in cool weather. Octobers here are cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Wear mine over a short sleeve tee. A little over sized for layering. Holds up well. 3 seasons on 1 of mine. Wash, dry and wear just like sweat pants.
I have a Carhartt sweatshirt frim my Dad many many years ago. It says size XL. So that's what I bought to replace the old one. WAY too SMALL! The color was awful too ocean blue maybe? Anyway sent it back for a XXL. STILL TOO SMALL! And sadly they do not have a larger size. I was VERY disappointed. Then even more unhappy when I discovered I could not order a larger size because they don't have one. So I guess their sizing has drastically changed. =-(

I love this jacket! My husband and I both had them when we lived in upper Minnesota and wore these year round. They are roomy enough for a good amount of layering, so we almost never needed winter coats, even in Minnesota's frigid winters. When he passed away, I took over his jacket as well as using mine - and after almost 8 years, I am just now replacing them. Awesome jacket - roomy and warm and great for layering.

I've been buying these for years. I buy a new one every fall even though I don't have to. Even with heavy use I get 2 to 3 years out of each one. I've always got a few of them in the rotation. Most comfortable hoodie I've ever owned.<br />Digging the new colors this year.<br />Xl tall for me. 6'3" 200 lbs now, could probably switch to a large tall but I like em a little loose. Was 235lbs before. Great fit either way.

I like this hoodie. However I’d appreciate it more if it didn’t ride up and bunch up because of the elastic around the bottom/waistline. I find I’m always pulling it down which is really annoying. I understand the elastic is designed to keep wind from blowing up your back but it doesn’t stop the hoodie from riding up when working. I’d have to get an oversized one to prevent that but then I’d be swimming in it. I might try to force extreme version that doesn’t have the elastic cuff around the waist.

Very good quality, material is of medium weight which is great for cool summer or fall weather.
It doesn't work for me. The extra length pulls up and bunches in the middle. The metal zipper is substantial but is mismatched with the <br />light weight fabric. It's out of scale. I thought it might be cut amply so I bought a large but it fits like an XL. I like the inside seam reinforcing of the hood and neck.

I ordered this sweatshirt a couple months back in Navy. It shipped sooner than I expected with everything going these days, and when I got it I was super excited. I ordered a medium because I wear medium in other clothes often. I'm 5'-7" 165lbs, M. It was pretty big on me. The shoulders were wider and the sleeve length was long. The quality was great of course and it felt very durable. I returned the sweatshirt and just ordered a small once I got the refund. Would highly recommend this sweatshirt, but unless it will be an outter most layer for a layered wear, I would consider going down a size.

I purchased two jackets for my parents who are in their 90s but walk every single day, up and down their driveway. That is probably a great lie to their long life. They needed these jackets for cool mornings when they walk. I had ordered some Russell jackets and the arms were HUGE so sent those back. Your jackets were twice the price so I thought that they would be just right, but they didn’t like something about the zipper. My sister lives with them and she said it was cheap looking and they had a difficult time zipping them, so back they go! We are so far into the summer now that I cannot find any jackets! I finally decided to give my dad a gift card and ordered my mom a jacket from Talbots.

The quality of material is good. Runs a little big. My husband wears a 2X in T shirts but the XL I purchased has room to spare. I am not happy with the zipper. It doesn’t zip smoothly. I am hoping with some use it will smooth out.

I highly recomend this garment as I have had my first since I bought it at Bass Pro Shops in 2008. It is green in color, so I call it my "Greenie". The only reason I bought this new Charcoal one is the old one got paint on it from my maintenance work and I have been disallowed from wearing it in public after work hours =). Hmm, that seemed a good excuse to get a new one. <br /> This new one looks great, appears to be made from good quality materials,and has the same type zipper
I finally had to replace my Carhartt zip up hoodie after 8 years. That was the last time I bought one. These jackets are near impossible to destroy. Heavy seams hold up for year and even the zipper is built and made to last. perfect Lahore for cold months and stand alone for the in between seasons. I would not recommend for wet rainy days. Get the heavier duty version with rain defender. <br /><br />Runs big. Order one size smaller than you think you need.

My son-in-law loves this hoodie. He is 40 and 6'5" approx. 230 lbs. It fits great on him and actually has a tapering tuck along the back hemline that takes away the box-like look to how the hoodie hangs/fits. Looks great on him and washed and dryer dried perfect.

Overall it is a very nice hoodie. My only issue (which I believe other reviews mentioned as well) is that it’s on the long side. I will admit that I am slim (5’9” 145lbs), I did order the small, but unzipped its longer than I expected. When zipped it fits a bit better because it will sit at the waist but then it looks like you have a pouch. Again, it’s a good hoodie, and it serves its purpose, just the fit is a little wonky (for me personally). Also some other reviews had problems with the zipper, I have had no issues so far.

Had one of these sweatshirts for many years. Finally wore out, so I ordered a new one. Disappointed in it and don't think I'd order one again.<br /><br />The body is much too long for a size small - at least a few inches longer than my previous one. The fabric is more course and lightweight, doesn't have the same feel and comfort of my old one.

I will start by saying I've been a long time user of Carhartt Products. Mostly jeans and T shirts. I picked up a few of these zippered sweatshirts less than a year ago. On one the zipper has fallen apart completely and the stitching in the hood has let go. <br />I have clothes that I've worn for 20 years that still function as they did new. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I do believe the zipper is a major weak link on their hoodies. <br />Stick with their pullovers. <br />Seems as if their quality has diminished since the new school hippies have started wearing Carhartt to look like fake lumberjacks. <br />Also, for the price of the clothing it really should be American made.

I usually have nothing but great things to say about Carhartt products but I haven't even had this sweatshirt for a year and the zipper popped off. For the price that I paid for it I would expect better quality, especially since I don't wear it a lot.
Great sweatshirt. I’m 6’ 3” and have a hard time getting stuff to fit right. The large tall fits perfect. Good weight of sweatshirt also. Love it.
Zippers don’t work well
The fit is excellent! The exterior material is durable with the soft and warm interior makes for a perfect combination! The cuff bands around the wrist and waist has the right amount of pressure to seal the air out but not to tight that it is uncomfortable! The only negative that I have to say is the zipper is too stiff! Hopefully over time it will become more supple!

Great gift for my bf, he really loves this brand and was so happy when he got it. It’s really warm and you barely feel a chill though it in 35 degree weather with a long sleeve under it. It’s roomy which is also a plus.
For the quality I decided to buy my husband Carhartt brand. I bought this sweatshirt lady Christmas and it was great at first, a little big but good. Well right around November the zipper broke and I have to say I'm very disappointed, a sweatshirt I purchased from Target 5 years ago is still great but this Carhartt one I paid twice the price for is trash.
Your jackets are great but If you your zippers dont last in the dryer. GThe cheap stuff hold up better

I love this sweater but I usually wear a medium in everything and the medium in this sweater fits like a L-XL but shrank nicely to a L after a wash. Should have got the small. Zipper is heavy duty, and the material is really amazing but I wish the hood was just a bit deeper. The hood only comes to my temples when pulled fully forward hence the 4 stars on the functionality.

It was okay, I didn't like that the inside of the hood was unfinished. I liked that the zipper had a great tang to get a hold on and the holes on the hood that the string go through had little grommets on them.

This hoodie pilled after first wash and has gotten worse with additional washings. Very long torso, when pulled down comes to nearly mid-thigh.
The carhartt hoodies are always strong and durable and work well in cold weather to provide a good layer of warmth. They are my go to hoodies. Nobody really comes close to the quality and comfort.

I’m very pleased! I had a couple of these for working in the yard, or just bumming around. After a number of years it was finally time to replace them. After looking everywhere for a zip up request and only finding pullovers, I finally went online and found them for half of what retailers wanted for the pullover style. Zipper is hard to start and hard to pull. Come on, how about some single string cord locks on the hood draw. Nobody wants to spend a lot of time tying and untying something you cannot see. Material seems flimsy. I hope it will last like the one I bought 20 years ago.
I thought I would like this, but I think I had an allergic reaction or something to it. It scratches so much around the neck that I can't wear it for more than an hour or so without it becoming a problem.

Great lightweight jacket. Doesn’t leave lent on your clothes like the cheap ones from chain stores. Grease spots washed out very easily after pretreatment. Soft inside to be able to wear shortsleeved shirts underneath.

I bought this hoodie 3 months ago for my husband. He Loved it!!! Until I took it out of the wash and found the entire tab that you use to zip and unzip it was gone! Completely gone even the the piece that attaches the tab to the slider part. I am very displeased, I thought carhartt was a work horse but it can’t even survive the gentle cycle on a washing machine. <br />Other than the zipper the overall quality is great. But sadly that doesn’t make up for the zipper.
Very comfortable. Midweight is a good description. Not light. Runs slightly bigger than expected for XL. Probably for all sizes. I really like the size. Would like a bit smoother zipper. A drop of WD 40 and tweek with my Leatherman worked. The hood and drawstring are exceptional. Both strong, well designed. Outstanding pocket depth. The waist and cuffs are perfection. Great balance of connection. Not to snug or loose. The colors run a shade darker than the picture indicates. Easily, hands down the best looking, most comfortable and durable hoodie out there. I'd go so far as to consider this or any of my Carhartt hoodies a great deal dollar-wise.
My husband needed a nice, warm, not too heavy jacket for work and it is perfect. He absolutely loves it!

The zipper is nice and big but is very rough making it difficult to operate at times. For an original fit it seems small, have an older sweatshirt a size smaller and it seems to be same size as the new sweatshirt.

Bought another brand's version of these once and the nylon zipper broke in less than six months. These Carhartt's have a metal zipper and it lasts for years. Also, another big PLUS for me, the XL "Talls" fit perfectly.
I'm 5'9" 173 lbs. and a medium fits just right. It's very comfortable, I'm pleased with this purchase.

This is a well made sweatshirt. It is warm and comfortable. A roomy fit is great for work. I have been purchasing Carhartt workwear for years and the quality and durability is the best around.
I am starting season # 8 with my Hoddie,Still looks as though i just bought it.I do Maint. work 6 day's a week in this coat, and i put it through a lot, no other hoodie i had has worn as well as this one.Bought more expensive,and cheaper one's , none have held up,I do take a little extra care when washing them,never have been put into the dryer,,always block and hang dry. My wife each year offer's to buy me a new one and i tell her "what for"? ,it's like new!. If you are like me and have a limited budget for clothes,,look no farther ,you cant beat the quality. If i did have a complaint it would be i wished it had a inside pocket for phone like my thermal lined hoodie does(it's in season 10)
Absolutely love this thing! I’m 6’1” and about 250 lbs. and the XL fits better than any other hoodie I’ve owned. The length is perfect. I was tempted go with the XLT since so many other hoodies I’ve tried constantly have to be pulled down around the waist (and over my beer gut). I’m glad I went with the regular XL as is it offers a generous cut and doesn’t ride up. It’s soft yet still feels well built and the zipper is heavy duty.
This is a nice quality hooded zip-front sweatshirt. The zipper works well. It seems to run correct in size.
This purchase was for my husband. He has worn these hooded sweatshirts for years. They wear well and he wanted a replacement to for an old one. Our only complaint is the zipper. They don't last as long as they should.

My husband loves this jacket. I ordered X-L which is his normal size, but a L would have fit better as it runs a little large.Kept it and nose he can just layer underneath. This is a great value jacket.

I purchased this sweatshirt for multiple reasons.. It was insanely comfortable and I knew I could count on Carhartt to produce a rugged and durable product. I was not let down. While framing in cold weather it was flexible and did not restrict range of motion. I would recommend this product to anyone in the trades as well as anyone looking for a durable layer for any sort of outdoor activity. I love this sweatshirt.

This is a badass sweatshirt...so much so that I hated to return it! It was just too long in the torso. I thought maybe it was a XL Tall miss-labeled as XL Reg. Shoulders and sleeves were great. I have a longer torso and this was too long for me. I thought about keeping it and trying to shrink it in the wash
This mid-weight is just right for most of the year. Not too light or heavy. Generous cut means I can wear a large instead of an XL. Very comfortable also. Extremely durable unless your dog gets it.

Great sweatshirt and well made. However, the body of the sweatshirt is quite long. If you are 6 feet tall, it is probably OK. If you are 5' 10" good luck. Please do not missunderstand, I love Carhartt products and will continue to buy.

Decent hoodie. It's not a bad product, it's just not really above the competitors in this style and weight of sweatshirt. It's hard to justify compared to other sweatshirts for half or less of the price. Being able to zip it down when you get hot is nice. Again, it's a good product, I'm just not sure it's above the competition or worth the extra price.

Not as good as what it replaced. The old one's (K185)were 80% cotton and 20% polyester.. No dark navy? What is new navy?

I've been buying their pocket t-shirts for years at size xl. ordered the sweatshirt at xl and it was way too small. i'm very disappointed that carhartt can't coordinate the sizes of their clothing
This review is based on 2 short uses. There has been little cool weather around here lately.<br /><br />I am 6'1", 165 lb with 35" sleeve length. The sweatshirt is a good fit for me-good length in both the body and sleeve. I am able to streach my arms out fully in front or overhead without the body riding up or the sleeves ending up halfway to my elbows. It is a loose fit but no more than any other full zip sweat I have had and it allows layering up on cold days. It was a snug fit when I had a bulky down vest under it. By itself it kept me quite warm at 50 degrees and in a 10 mph wind- felt very little air infiltration from the wind. The material and zipper both appear rugged and I am anticipating a long span of hard use. The appearance is so-so for me but I bought this for cutting back brush and clearing deadfalls. I have other warm clothes to wear if I want to look fashionable. Note, I have not given any 5 stars only because I have not worn it enough to fully judge it.

Got a grey one yesterday in SF, I am a big Carhartt fan but this one seems tricky: once I wore it over a green tee and blue hat the lining started coming off profusely. Was going to a dinner so it was not the best of experiences. I hope that a wash will fix it, but this isn't what I expected (i.e. an item should be good to wear when brand new). Other than that, item looks great and fits large, but that's usual Carhartt. Cheers!

Color is nothing like the pictures. Not just a shade off but completely different.
The hood is not lined and it should be. The inside is fleece, and all of the seams are visible. It is really quite ugly, and fleece should not be coming into contact with the wearer's hair. Unlike the rest of the sweatshirt which has a shirt between the wearer and the fleece, there is no protection for the head since the hood is not lined. And, once again: the inside of the hood is very ugly.

The shape seems a little long and narrow. I would have preferred shorter and wider. Maybe I will get used to it and it may change some with washing and wearing.

I am very disappointed with this purchase, as an avid Carhartt fan for years, this one let me down. I wore this hoody a few times, it felt good and looked good. The third time I wore it over a Carhartt tee shirt the lining shed really bad. I have never experienced this before with any Carhartt product so this was a shocker.
I tend to buy a sweatshirt that fits nice. After a trip through the wash it comes out and the sleeves end up being too short. So I bought one of these years ago. An XL/Tall. This is perfect. I am on my second one and when this one wears out I am sure to get another. I tend to drive a lot and it is not too bullky when wearing a seatbelt and in chilly weather and I am in and out of my truck a lot it is perfect. it is comfortable enough to wear over a pair of bibs as well.
These midweight hooded sweat shirts are the right weight for layering with an undershirt and sweat shirt. They are durable with an extra strong zipper for my strenuous work.
My son specifically requested this sweatshirt on his Christmas wish list. He loves it--true to size and will buy more due to its comfort and quality construction. Now my husband wants one!

Excellent weight for a hooded sweatshirt. Like the feel of the cloth and detail. The zipper is rough though and I wonder how long it will last. My main issue is the length of the sweatshirt. It hangs much lower than any I have owned before so I am not very fond of that. I tend to like hoodies to be like jackets, not far below your belt line. The photos they show you are accurate so if you like the length, you will like the hoodie. I'm looking elsewhere.
My first Carhartt shirt like this wore out after 30 years of use during hunting season! The new one is exactly what I wanted! hope it lasts as long!
My go-to hoodie for over 25 years. Always soft, comfortable, good for layering, I like the new 3 part hood design which fits heads better than the old 2 part, but the zipper seizes a little and isn't as smooth as my old one.
Love the hoodie. The shaped hood makes a big difference for fit and comfort.
Haven't worn it much as of yet, but if it's anything like the one I had and lost, I'm sure I'll be very happy with it.

I work in New York fashion and Carhartt not only works perfect with my work attire, it is slso the perfect day off clothing i have year round. Always comfortable and so easy to maintain. I wish there was a Carhartt wip store near where i live. The line is fantastic. I normally purchase my Carhartt at the Flemington department store. They always have a great selection.
Carhartt products are great but the zipper on this one missed the mark. The zipper broke the first day of wearing it so I paid to get it fixed since I did not leave anywhere near where I purchased the sweatshirt. Pretty disappointed. Other than that, the shirt seems to be full of the usual Carhartt quality.
Bought this sweatshirt in two colors as a Christmas gift for my husband. He has many Carharrt sweatshirts and hoodies and loves them. This time, within a few months of purchase, the zipper pulls came right off. The quality is just not the same. It's really a nuisance because the zipper works fine you just can't easily pull it up. Very disappointed with my purchase. Usually very satisfied with Carhartt products.
I loved my Carhartt hoodie until the zipper broke. I wear a safety vest over it and for this reason I can no longer use it at work because it gets bunched up and awkward.
This was the perfect hoodie for me. Just heavy enough, comfortable fit, and looked great with a pair of jeans. Unfortunately after 6 months of very light and occasional wear, the pull on the zipper broke off. Maybe they meant "heavy duty" ironically. There's no reason for the money they charge for the quality to be so poor. Might as well just buy Champion or Russell.
I love this sweatshirt and buy it every time it wears out. I wear it probably 8-9 months of the year every day and replace it once a year. My only beef is they don't make a medium tall. I am a tad too lanky for this sweatshirt at regular length.

I use this sweatshirt at work (on a dock) and in saying this; I'm subjected to cool tempertures thoughout the night. I've found this to be perhaps the best sweatshirt that money can buy. The fabric is very soft and the fit more than adequate for bending, reaching, etc. even after washing and drying. The pockets are deep enough that you can put pens, pencils or other small objects in without losing them. This is definitely not one of those cheap sweatshirts that you find at the chain stores. If you seek a good quality sweatshirt that will work with you instead of against you, look no further than this. You'll be glad you did.
Very nice hoodie all around, just as I expected form Carhartt.
What really stands out about this product cannot be seen but felt when you put it on. It has a very soft warm inner material that's truly surprising. The zipper is almost unbreakable and the sweaters color will not fade after regular washing. Truly an outstanding product.
