The FR Canvas Pant features:
They area sized an inch smaller than other pants of the same size. Because of this, they didn't fit and I had to return them by mail and reorder something else to replace it and pay $30 USD (50$ Canadian) again fir shipping.

The pants look good and have a nice texture but I can not sit down in them.
My 17yo loves them for work, comfortable
I just want to know who taught y’all how to measure, or how long exactly do y’all think one inch is? I’ve gone through three orders now of different FR pants that are insanely long. The first two were 32” legs and they went entirely over my foot. I finally ordered a 30” leg and it’s still half way down my foot. It would be kind of hilarious if I didn’t need them for work.
Other reviews said length came long so I ordered next shorter inseam. Bad mistake. They run true to lengths indicated.
They are very comfortable and the cell phone pocket is perfect. The only issue I have is the left pocket is where I keep my truck key fob and my knife (on a clip) and it’s at a different angle than with the rest of my Carhartt pants and with the knife, it makes it an awkward thing to get my key fob. They run about right on size.
GREAT PANTS I WORK IN A GLASS PLANT WHERE WE ARE AROUND A LOT OF HEAT AND OPEN FLAMES. VERY COMFY. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THE LENGHT AND THE GREAT BIG BELL BOTTOMS. I WEAR A 30 IN LENGTH AND WHEN I GET THEM THEY ARE ALMOST A 33 IN LENGTH. BUT OTHER THAN THAT GREAT PANTS.
I recently returned a pair of these pants after only 3 months of wear. I have been purchasing and wearing Carhartt pants for work in construction for 15 years. Normally, I get more than a year of wear out of one pair of pants. When I realized that Carhartt made flame resistant clothing, I thought to try a pair and I was extremely disappointed. The sizing was smaller. The material felt lightweight rather than midweight. There was wear and fraying starting on the side pockets and one pocket developed a hole in it. The wear, fraying and hole made me question the validity of the flame resistance, which I paid extra for. I’m willing to give Carhartt another chance but if the poor materials and smaller sizing continue then I’ll have to look for something else I’m sad to say.
Works perfectly!
One year later, these keep on working. Durable. Comfortable. Good for water resistant in the rain too.
I love these things. My waist is 28", and mens pants don't come smaller than 30" usually, and in North Dakota the ones I bought in the store only went down to 32", so my mom helped take those ones in with her sewing machine, and then I bought the 30" pair recently, in moss, and I LOVE THEM so much more. They're just slightly loose, which can be fixed with a belt with minimal bunching, and is more comfortable to do work in anyways. They're pretty durable considering I beat the snot out of my clothes, but they're still thin and tear easier than the heavier duck pants of course. They're good for summer, but I wore these all winter in North Dakota with sweats underneath and thermals. I was fine. Side leg pockets are good for gloves if you can manage to squeeze em in. The waist sits a bit higher than other work pants I've had, which I prefer. The only thing I wish is that the leg cut, was more straight and fit closer to your boot....if that makes sense.

Great pants for both women and men.
These are comfortable pants that hold up well. Will definitely keep buying.
The other reviews that say the pants are too long is true. I own many other models of Carhartt pants and I'm glad I came across these in the store so I could try them on first. I wear 35/32 in my other Carhartt pants, but in these I had to buy 36/30. They were a perfect fit with my boots and they are extremely comfortable. The price is great compared to other fire station pants. I love them and plan to buy more, but I recommend trying them on.
These are the best work pants I have ever worn. Super durable and comfortable.
The pants are comfortable, but the length in the legs runs longer than any other Carhartt pants we've bought. I recommend going one size smaller in the length (at least). We're going to have to find someone who can hem the pants by at least 1.5" with FR thread so we don't blow out the bottoms.

Also, sizing in the waist is tight. Size up one size in the waist from your typical pant size.

TL;DR, size down on the legs, size up on the waist. Does not fit true to size. Also, make sure you know someone / can yourself hem pants with FR thread to correct for sizing issues
Ordered these because have always worn Carhartt pants. Needed FR for a job coming up. So of course I turned to the brand I know and like. What the heck the waist is to tight and the legs are like clown pants. I paid extra for fast ship because job is starting.. I don't have enough time to return and get a new pair. Very disappointed. I look and feel like a clown.
Great quality!! Shipped very quickly as well!
These pants are great fitting just a little baggy in the leg.
I've been buying and wearing these for 6 years. I only need to buy a couple pairs each year because of the durability these have. The also provide a full range of motion.
just a bit small
nice looking pants. I like the moss green color
Feel great and light weight.
Great quality!!
Very comfortable and soft. They do run pretty small though. If you’re not sure, buy the bigger size.
Both shirt and pants are very comfortable and durable.
True fit. Seat and leg looser for less binding when bending knelling while working.
My husband wears them on the Rig
I got this for work last summer. it fits good and the quality is perfect for outdoor work in summer
These tough pants look awesome and fit perfect in all the right places. I was afraid they would be too stiff, being fr, but I can move freely and comfortably. Sparks haven’t phased these pants one bit and metal shavings, dust and even mud, just brush right off. I’m very impressed and will buy a few more pair of these go-to work pants!
Very heavy duty. Had to get fire resistant clothing for work and I am very happy with them.
Got the tan denim and overall waist and length are true to size, and these definitely make a 12hour day in the oil fields more relaxed.

Only drawback is the pockets are kinda tight, and grabbing a phone becomes a chore all day. Just used shirt pocket and moved on.
Feel was better than expected very light and breathable.
Finish is great, fit good but I've lost weight and may need a 52 or 50" waist. 30" inseam still about 2-3" too long, will find tailor who has Nomex thread to take up excess length. Will start looking for Carhartt in local stores now that I'm getting closer to "normal"!
Waist is a bit tight go up 1 size. Pants are great
After there 2nd 10 hour shift right pocket starting to show damage.
These pants are not loose enough in the seat and thigh area. But, really loose just below. So, if you have a thin waist and narrow thighs, but huge knees and calfs, these pants are going to be perfect for you!
All day comfort and light enough for the hot weather. Wear these pants 7 days a week. Never had pants this comfortable before, tried every brand. If you're big and tall i highly recommend as they run big in their sizes. I'm a lineman and these are like a second skin, have pockets in the right places and a safe and comfortable cell phone pocket sealed the deal for me. If you live by the phrase, "I'll die with my boots on." then these are the pants that go with them.
These pants are outstanding! Great fit, quality, and good looks.
WELL BUILT LIKE THE CARHARTT NAME SHOULD BE. QUICK ARRIVAL TO MY HOME AND THE QUALITY IS AS GOOD AS EXPECTED FOR MY FIRST PURCHASE OF FR RATED WORK CLOTHING. VERY SATISFIED.
I ordered on a sunday and they arrived promptly on a thursday. I did this on two seperate occsions for a total of 5 pair. I got them and tried them on and I immediately loved them. They fit very nicely. I ordered the loose fit since I am not a small person. I live in south Texas and temps get a bit toasty. These pants are not as hot as most FRC clothing tends to be. They are rugged and durable. My previous FRC "Wrangler" jeans are very hot and were already coming unravled at the seams and belt loops after only a weeks use. Carhart is the way to go as far as I am concerned.
Great style. Very comfortable. Should have bought one size bigger in the waste area. Fits tighter in the waste then other pants
These are great, They do seem a little long compared to most of my other pants. But have no fear when you purchase this carhartt gear!

This person is part of our Field Testing program and may have received this product for free. We operate one of the most rigorous field testing programs in the business.
I've been purchasing FR clothing for our maintenance department Electricians for over 4 years. I switched to Carhartt about 3 years ago and have never looked back. The fit, quality, appearance and especially maintaining the size (not shrinking) over time is fantastic. I have over 50 people wearing Carhartt FR clothing and not one would change to another brand.
