First time buying these boots so far so good. Very comfortable to wear usually have on 8-12 hours a day doing HVAC service calls.

| Lonnie 24-10-2022 01:08

Ok. Trying not his again. Their website is almost as good as their boots. Insoles suck. Like a ball located in the middle of the insole. Super uncomfortable. Changed that out and we’re pretty good. Then seen the heel was pulling apart. Where is the quality and workmanship spending this kind of money? I haul raw milk for a living and they went up to the UP of Michigan once. So no hardcore wear and tear. Just cheaply made.

| Glenn G. 10-10-2022 00:58

This is my second pair. They hold up well and my feet stay dry. No need for break in.

| Rick R. 02-10-2022 20:49

Nice durable boots but the toe area is too wide, even on the medium width. And, there is something with the side of the heel on the inside of the boot that rubs the side of your heel raw after a few days, even a few years old.

| Billy H. 07-09-2022 14:08

The boots fit good they are not heavy I would recommend them to others

| thomas b. 14-07-2022 20:18

great boots. third pair i have bought. will be buying them again. very comfortable. first boot i have been able to wear without adding padded insoles.

| Matthew M. 30-06-2022 00:31

Great pair of high quality and super comfortable work boots. I owned one pair previously and they were great, way better than the Red Wings I had before. The fit is snug without slipping or being too tight, the layered design to the soles is fantastic, and the leather lasts against all weather conditions if properly cared for.

| John K. 21-06-2022 00:36

They are well made boots, worth the money

| richard e. 12-06-2022 23:58

While these seem to be waterproof from exterior water, they are so hot that my feel feel like they are swimming in water.
Not a very comfortable boot in my opinion.
They will probably go in the closet, and be chalked up as an expensive mistake.

| Sean W. 04-06-2022 14:04

I bought my pair on 2 22 22 and the stitching on the side is already coming apart ,deeply disappointed I bought the more expensive brand hoping they would hold up but I was wrong!

| JW 01-05-2022 15:01

Super comfy, great arch support, leather feels broke in right out of the box. I can wear mine all day and they don’t feel real heavy or bulky

| Mark J. 25-04-2022 22:00

Comfortable right out of the box, They are like wearing a set of slippers to work!

| Steven S. 18-04-2022 23:30

I purchased a pair of these boots in 2018 they lasted till fall of 2021 they were comfortable and seemed to be the best work boots I have ever purchased. So I purchased another pair in October 2021 it is now April 2022, They have only been worn 3 or less days a week and they are falling apart, the seams are letting loose on both boots in the same spot. It seems the quality of the new boot is far below the original ones I purchased in 2018

| Kseo7s 15-04-2022 18:32

Boot appeared to fit well when purchased. Soon after I started having issues with my feet. The tounge to upper junction compresses across my ankle and causes discomfort. I thought after break-in this would improve. It did not. I am currently soaking 1 foot due to this causing what I can assume is tendon damage. I am disappointed as I cannot return item at this point and I wasted 170 dollars that will sit unused until I can bring myself to throw away.

| George L. 08-03-2022 03:50

They are very comfortable believe it or not they are a good snow boot. I live in the mountains at 4200 ft. I get snow every year, up to 3 ft. They grip the snow real good. Hood boots.

| Scott B. 05-03-2022 18:14

Great ??
Very light weight and comfortable

| Raymond N. 18-02-2022 21:28

As always great wearing carhart clothing and shoes for over forty years

| Bruce H. 10-02-2022 17:29

Excellent!

| Michael T. 09-02-2022 22:03

Purchased these boots a little less than 3 months ago. Fit is really good, as is comfort even after an 8 hr. day standing on cement. I was very hopeful these work boots would hold up to the harsh conditions in the plant I work in. But, one day at work the seam that attaches the padded collar to the leather upper burst open. I plan on trying to glue it back somehow, but right now I've got a $170 pair of 3 month old boots that are falling apart.

| Cassie M. 31-12-2021 20:53

First carhartt boot owner here. I was looking for a winter boot and I love them! Great traction, warm, waterproof, ankle high. ????

| Jean H. 16-12-2021 21:15

Was a gift request by son

| Matt S. 27-11-2021 14:59

Got these boots about 2 or 3 maybe 4 years ago around late fall, lasted me a long time, waterproof, warm, flexible, comfortable, well rounded, I've gone though about 2 pairs of insole inserts and pairs of laces, they've started to fall apart at around the seams at the rubber making them no longer waterproof which is the main reason I got them because I do a lot of Trench/underground work for electrical. overall well rounded boot till they fall apart. may order another pair

| Kim T. 23-11-2021 18:07

My boyfriend works in a greenhouse on his feet around water. Loves them.

| Chris S. 09-11-2021 12:52

Very happy with the Carhartt work boot. Took a chance with paying a little more but it was worth it. They're comfortable, warm and dry. It's true, you get what you pay for.

| Dirk McGirk 25-10-2021 07:43

Best boots I'd ever worn and so are my rugged flex too. From day 1 more comfortable than my timberlands hell... don't even wear my timberlands anymore. I prefer these high arch inserts over the ones that come with my rugged flex.

| Christopher A. 10-09-2021 20:32

Great boots to have to work in

| Jeff T. 14-06-2021 14:04

These boots work great for the summer. Lightweight but sturdy and heavy duty. Not too much insulation. Very waterproof. No problems.

| Peter S. 30-05-2021 02:51

I’ve walked and stood in snow and rain and they never got wet inside like other boots.

| Jeremy Z. 15-05-2021 19:15

Extremely comfortable boot. These have been a breeze to break in without sore feet for weeks like others. They don't feel bulky or heavy and my feet don't sweat. Pair these with a pair of their all season work boot socks, you'll fall in love.

| Adam S. 02-05-2021 18:46

I bought these because I always thought Carhartt was a top choice. I was going to be walking everyday in the snow while I worked for UPS for the season. After the first day my feet hurt so bad I could barely walk, but thought it was probably because they weren't "broken in" yet. I've never experienced anything like this, so it was hard to tell. After a week I had to quit the job and it was wet outside and I needed to get things done, so I reluctantly used them again so I didn't ruin my nice everyday shoes, or tennis shoes. I couldn't regret it more. I limped around everywhere for the next 6 months, and in the mornings I had to use a cane until my feet were a little stretched out.. a 32 year old man with a cane is pretty disheartening. The boots look good, and fit good, but I wouldn't wish the pain the brought on my worst enemy. Luckily the quarantine came around and I was able to work for weeks on end doing stretches and exercises and nothing else until they healed.

| David E. 24-04-2021 18:20

Tried them for a week and have blisters on top blisters. The rubber toe and heal have no give and do not wear to fit your feet. Tried to oil them with no results

| Alberto P. 23-02-2021 15:01

I'm gonna get to the point this are the best boots I ever own. I had my boots for 2 years and 1/2... I wore my boots just about everyday never had a proble.
I'm about to order the same boots all over again???????

| Parker M. 10-02-2021 16:47

I have been buying this exact boot for close to 6 years now, only on my 4th pair. I wear them hard and they tend to last about a year and a half. I've tried cheaper boots but I cant get them to last more then 6 months. Worth the extra money in my book

| Nathan C. 05-02-2021 00:49

I have to wear safety toe boots at work but growing up and during all other times of my life I have worn athletic shoes that have good support and are breathable. I have tried all kinds of safety toe shoes but none of them lasted more than a month or 2 before breaking down and falling apart. These boots have been great though. I just bought my second pair because the first pair lasted 2 years and are still great boots but I was on my third pair of laces and decided it had been 2 years so it was time for a new pair. They are light weight for how durable they are and flex very well

| S M. 16-12-2020 15:26

Very disappointed in the quality of the boot. Owned the boot for a while, then decided to give it a go on my 12 hr shift. It was somewhat comfortable with an added insole. Then I noticed after about 4 months, which is only 60 working days, the side of the boot had split right where the seam is. This did not occur from hard wear or abuse just normal wear.

| Alan H. 03-12-2020 19:13

Been buying the same 8", 600g Thinsulate, Core-Tex, Safety Toe work boot for over 25years. Bought these 6" Ground Force because I wanted to try something different. Writing this review on day 4 of putting them into service. EXTREMELY happy with my decision to go with these boots. They are good looking boots and very, very comfortable out of the box. Was dreading the week of break-in like I had with the other boots, but that did not happen in the least. Being 2" shorter may make some of the difference, but these Ground Force just feel fantastic. When I first put them on I thought the size might run a little large, but I did not think that at the end of day 1. They feel secure with just enough room to not feel restrictive. The insole is great compared the other boots as well as good after market products.

I gave the boots 4 stars for Durability, Quality, and Functionality for now based on initial impressions. I work in the high purity water industry and my job is construction and service related, so there are construction type work sites and harsh chemicals used in processes. Time will tell in how well they hold up.

| David W. 19-11-2020 18:15

I recently started working in the field where I am required to wear Safety Toe boots and bought these. I don’t think I could have picked a better choice as these boots fit excellent, wear well, look great and so far (2-1/2 months) kept my feet dry..

| coreyg 22-10-2020 14:48

These are super awesome and durable. My only issue is the toe is starting to come apart.

| Antonio G. 04-03-2020 07:58

Great boots, water proof, last pair last me a year.

| Derek R. 19-02-2020 14:44

These boots are great for someone who is on there feet all day. I normally have problems with my arches in other boots, but these ones give great support and feel great.

| Deck hand 14-02-2020 16:52

So, I go through boots like underwear. I am a big guy who works on a ferry boat. Freezing cold in winter and blasting hot in summer. I walk on average 10 miles a shift on non-skid aluminum. I bought a pair of these two years ago. I loved them. But I get an annual boot allowance so I benched them the next year and bought some new Georgia boots. They did not last the year. Besides being uncomfortable and cold, they fell apart. I finished the year with my old Carhartts and am buying a new pair this year. Solid upper leather construction still looks nearly new. Super comfortable and no break in. And, very very warm in winter. I also have a history of kinda stinky feet after awhile but not in these boots. No smell at all. The only wear and its significant, is the bottom of the boots are wearing through. Perhaps its the non skid aluminum deck but I wish they lasted a little longer. Anyway, after having wore lots of different boots....these boots are by far the best I have owned and I am surprised they are not the number one recommended work boot on the market.

| Adam F. 08-01-2020 15:52

Amazing boot, great feel. Love them

| zak P. 01-12-2019 03:21

I'm not to impressed by the quality!! I've only had mine for about 6 months and they are starting to fall apart! For the price, I at least figured they would last a good year!! I'm very disappointed Carhartt!!!!

| Fernando M. 06-11-2019 22:57

Wore them for the first time today. Absoluelty comfortable and feel so sturdy. im in electrical construction and I put them to the test today. Up ladders , kicking stuff, up slippery surface pushing mateiral up a ramp, and at the end of the day my feet didnt ache. So far so good!

| Garrett M. 20-10-2019 02:46

I LOVE these work boots! Super comfortable right out of the box! I work warehouse at a large outdoor retail store, walking concrete floors for 10 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week. My feet feel so good after long work days/weeks. The rubber cap toe protects the boot leather when the toe is bumped or kicked. The composite toe is super strong and roomy bot not too roomy to be awkward or extra wide. True to size and width. These boots are solid! Everything I need for comfort and safety at work.

| henry m. 08-09-2019 19:22

I really want to like these boots, but the main issue i have is that I get a huge blister on the back of my heel. I've waited about a month to see if they'll break in, but i don't think they will. The reason for the blister is that there is a rubber cup around the heel, and inside where that ends and the fabric starts is a large seam. That seam is what rubs my heel and makes it incredibly uncomfortable.

| Chad C. 14-07-2019 18:44

I work 3rd shift as a maintenance technician at a forge and heat treat facility, super hot and dirty. My feet are basically shaped like a a duck's foot, narrow at the heel and wide at the toes, and 99% of boots just flat out don't fit me. I drove 2hrs to try on some Carhartt boots (was looking for a 4" boot, never cared for 6") and all they had was 6"

| Kevin C. 30-04-2019 23:45

The only negative is the shoe laces. they dont cling, and frequently fall off the clips if you dont get them super tight to start.

| Novian B. 15-03-2019 11:02

As a construction worker I wore these boots for two years straight! The insole is AMAZING! I can't tell you all the brands I've tried but they all were Terrible as far as comfort goes. I could work 12 hours straight, hard labor, and never have the fatigue feeling in my feet. The composite toe is barely even noticeable in the the shoe when you wear it. The hard shell on the front is durable, no matter how much I drag it there still solid!

| RHBronco 05-03-2019 22:09

I started a new job that requires a safety toe boot. They were paying. I went to the store and tried on 12-15 pair of boots from Timberland Pro, Georgia Boot, Wolverine, Carhartt, and Skechers. Some of them I tried on multiple times and in several sizes. These were the most comfortable by a country mile. The rubber toe cap looks goofy, but I suppose it will wear well. They did rub some soft skin off the inside of my heels, but I will chalk that up to wearing sneakers for years and years. I have been wearing them for three weeks and they feel great. I would have passed over these, as a clothing manufacturer making boots, but now I am considering their other goods as well.

| John M. 22-01-2019 23:19

Great Quality Boots, I love them. Carhartt has always been a brand that I have trusted. Comfortable and durable. Although, I do feel like the traction of the boot can be increased for slippery weather ( Black ice, etc). Besides that its my everyday boot for work and winter use.

| Ben E. 29-11-2018 01:54

Awesome boots. Just got my second pair. Work in the mining industry, lots of chemicals, mud, expanded metal, climbing etc.. Definitely recommend waterproof, cushioned long lasting. First pair still going strong after a year.

| Nick H. 21-11-2018 14:48

Honestly the best boot I have worn!! I have tried MANY different boots through the years and these top them all. I am on my feet all day and these stand the test! You have to try these if you are looking for comfortable and affordable boots!

| Stan W. 02-11-2018 20:41

Ordered these boots in my usual size (9W) but found they were too wide. There's lots of room in the toe box (maybe a bit too much) and they were also quite loose in the heel. Didn't matter if I was wearing medium or heavyweight socks - the boots were just too big. I've returned them and will re-order in 9M. I wouldn't agree that these are "lightweight" boots but they appear to be very well constructed and I'd hazard a guess they will outlast most boots of this style. I look forward to getting the 9M's and hope they will fit better. Will submit another review after the 9M's arrive.

| Cory W. 22-09-2018 17:02

Extremely comfortable, highly recommend. Would've gotten 5 stars but it holds smell a lot worse than other work boots I've had in the past.

| Miguel D. 14-08-2018 12:15

I bought these because I had bought a pair of Carhartt boots 10 years ago that I still wear. Living in Texas - there are not any distributors that carry boots. So I took a chance and ordered the same size. When I put them on - 1st felt they were very comfortable. Most comfortable bought I have ever purchased. I have bought other brands. These are by far the most comfortable boot I have purchased.

| Fred L. 01-07-2018 22:41

Cathartic boots are the best and most comfortable I have ever worn

| Thomas M. 22-06-2018 00:25

I’ve tried many different boots from all sorts of brands, but if you work in a retail (I’m a merchandiser for Coca-Cola), then I think these are the absolute best boots you can wear. These are the only boots I’ve worn that don’t hurt my feet after walking (sometimes upwards of 7 miles) around supermarkets all day. They are comfortable, the soles provide good traction on dirty/dusty floors, and the composite toe is great to have just in case, accidents do happen. I do plan on buying these exact pair of boots if mine ever wear out.

| B.A. M. 07-06-2018 07:15

I have been wearing the boots daily on 12 hour shifts in a mining processing plant. Deal with a lot of chemicals, mud, climbing stairs, etc... They wear great and have held up very well. Have been in service since Feb.

| ARIK G. 18-02-2018 18:38

Despite originally developing a blister on my heel (I think more due to my not being used to laces on my work boots and not tying then tight enough). I really like them. They look great, are comfortable, and seem like overall good pair of shoes.

| Chase D. 13-02-2018 20:49

I would absolutely recommend these boots. They take a bit of breaking in, but so far I think it'll be worth it.

| Jared S. 08-02-2018 23:54

Right out of the box this boot fit like a glove. Very happy with the purchase and the price.

| KevinEllingtonCT 27-11-2017 21:23

We've all come to expect quality and utility from Carhartt, With these boots I expected the same expeince I've had with just about all new footwear. These boots were so comfortable when I tried then on - I left them on and did a 2 mile walk with the dog in the woods. If they weren't a bit dirty on the bottom I could have left them on more at home. Great job.

| guillermo m. 20-11-2017 23:49

This great great shoe so confortable it is amazing, no more words great work I hope the quality continues, thanks

| Alan K. 01-10-2017 14:21

I have been wearing Carhartt for 15 years. The first model was discontinued, it was a great boot. The next model was also a great boot and I am still wearing them. I decided to try this new model, what a mistake. I have been trying for a month to get this boot broke in but I still causes blisters on the back of my ankle. I cannot go a full day wearing them. When I put them on it feels like putting on a cardboard box. Very much not liked.

| Austin J. 15-09-2017 04:50

I purchased this or my company paid for my work boots. I finally have found a comfortable work boots on my labor/mechanical industry...my work consist of being on my feet all day in all types of elements...Rainnor shine. I've had these for a month now and broke them in. Once broken in they conform to your feet for a superior fit. I've gone through so many boots all big high dollar named brands... and Carhartt pulled through for me...I'm really enjoying them! Now near quitting time my feet don't ache...I'm good to go another 4 hours! I will continue to buy this specific steel toe work boot from Carhart!!!

| Dave N. 26-08-2017 22:52

Boots fit nice, they did take a while to break in.

| Greg H. 14-08-2017 23:02

on the right shoe, the tongue slips to the left; and on the left shoe,
my ankle rubs against the leather.

| Spidey 04-08-2017 01:12

This quite possibly might be to most comfortable boot I ever put my foot in. The sign showed four layers of cushion technology in the making of the boot and I could feel all the work was not in vain. With the composite toe it will be my go-to boot whenever I do any projects.
