The Loose Fit Firm Duck Insulated Traditional Coat features:
This is my third coat in 40 years. Timeless design excellent quality! THE Best Cold weather coat I have ever worn and worked in. From the sub zero temps of the interior of Alaska to blowing rain of the southeast Carhartt has kept me warm and dry. It’s simply the Best coat I own.
Great looking winter jacket, very durable.
Nice fit and great price. Staying warmer than I thought I would
Fits a little loose, but should to allow for a hoody or other layers. Had to buy a new Carhartt coat to replace an older one that was covered in diesel and other garage odors.
This is a great coat. I was in Switzerland and a group of us went to the alps. I didn’t have a warm enough jacket. So one of our group let me barrow his Carhart Duck insulated traditional coat. It was the perfect coat. Stayed nice and warm. When it started getting cold, I needed a warmer coat here and I remembered how great that coat was, so I ordered one. It’s came about a weak ago and I’m glad to say that it’s still a great cost. Very warm. Runs a little big. I wear 2XL so I ordered a Xl. Fits perfect.
I've been using this parka for 30 plus years! I'm on my third.<br />I've used one in minus 27 degrees in Northern NY and it kept me warm for hours! <br />This is the best, most rugged parka I know of, and the price can't be beat.<br />I do wish they'd put the fake fur back on the hood though. lol.
i have bought this coat for a long time, they get pretty raged, then the zipper goes out, time for a new one . i like the coat a lot,the last one lasted about 6 years
Great coat very warm.
Great jacket. Fit is good and vary warm. This is a lifetime jacket.
It was a Birthday gift for my Dad he loves it. I made the right decision by going to carhartt.
This coat is extremely warm and comfortable. This is the second one I have owned.
I purchased a STYLE #C003 at a local SPCA Thrift Shop. Great price and good cause. I know a little about tailoring and this coat is very well done. Carhartt's price may be high for some people, but they are very durable and will last a long time. I have several other Carhartt FIRM DUCK coats, 20 and 30 years old and still wear them. If you need a cold weather coat forever this maybe it.
Looks good but very stiff!
The ordering and receiving process went very well. The jacket is great as expected.
Excellent quality,<br />Great fit .<br />Very happy that they still make this style.
I love carhartt coats they are the best
compare to other products, feel slightly bigger ,regular medium.
excellent quality
Wishing for more styles in bigger sizes
I loved the coat, but I wish I could return the dude I gave it to. ??
I replaced my late, late 00's coat w/a new one of similar design. <br />Similar, because they changed the closure method on the Inside Right Pocket, from a zipper to Velcro. It takes 2 hands to open a pocket.<br />At the same time making the pocket smaller. <br />The left inside pocket was made larger, yet the closure, a zipper, was put at the side if said pocket, instead of on the top. ??.
Nice and warm
Great jacket, and it’s given me something comfortable and warm for outdoor work in winter … It’s what I was wanting, and I would definitely purchase it again. Construction of the coat and materials seem really durable, and I expect to use this jacket for a LONG time. One comment, however, is that it fits “loose” (big), so size accordingly. I started with a large, which is the same size as my other coats, but it was way too big. I downsized to medium, and while this fits comfortably, it’s still a bit on the large size
It’s really stiff, to the point of being uncomfortable to wear.
lifer for these jackets
After owning a C003 arctic jacket for the past 15 years was excited to get a new one. When it arrived highly disappointed! My coat was a 44 regular, so I ordered a large. When I tried it on it look like I was a linebacker for a football team why in gods name did they ever take one of the best jackets made and expand his shoulders and make you look huge. This is not a true workingman’s coat it was designed for the yuppie generation. Immediately called customer support explain my disappointment, they were very courteous and understanding. They also explained that the original coat that I have is no longer made or available through Carhartt online. I was given a gift card for Christmas from my children, and unfortunately will be ordering something like the Arctic jacket and hopefully will be able to find a winter jacket to my liking.
Great fit! Very warm and comfortable. Couple loose stitching here and there but over all I’m pleased with it! Would recommend, nothing beats carhartt.
This looks like a good jacket, but it fit like a tent. <br /><br />I'm 6'0" and weigh 295. My ordinary size in everything else is XXL. I bought the XXL coat, and I think I could fit a medium-size animal inside there with me. It fit like Roy Kent -- it was here, and there, and every frickin where. <br /><br />I'll try again in a regular XL. But with the weather changing, I may wait till next winter.
My husband loves his new coat, especially the nylon lining which slips off and on easily.
Great coat!
very happy with our new coat. Looks great.
My husband very pleased with this jacket. He said it feels good and keeps him warm as well.
I truly love this jacket I work inside a refrigerated Warehouse and it's light but warm the jacket is perfectly weighed and durable
2nd one. First just got worn out. Love it so much I bought a 3rd to have in reserve!!!
As always excellent
Very warm and well built coat, should last til I die. It's been awhile since I bought a new Carhartt, but my old j22 was really shot. Can't find one like it anymore (short body, no hood, poly insulation, cotton). The old J22s on ebay are going for twice the cost of new. You should bring the J22 back, easy on off, comfortable when sitting in a car and still warm.
Love the front check pockets of the jacket. Jacket very stiff, however I anticipate it will soften over time. Sizing runs large. Normally I wear a large (my old Carhartt - the older version of this jacket was a large), however, due to other reviews, I ordered both the large and a medium. I ended up with the medium (5'11, 180 lbs) and it fit perfectly.
They changed the inside pocket configuration, with a vertical zipper on the left side pocket and a velcro tab at the top on the right. This does not work well as the zipper flap traps items and make them hard to get to, I have to fish around to get my phone or wallet out Often if I just leave unzipped because it is at an awkward angle, things fall out of it. <br />They original set up was better, top opening Velcro on the left for often used things and a top zipper on the right for less used things or a more secure option for keys and such.<br /><br />There is an old adage that applies here, if its not broke don't fix it.
Extremely large. unfortunately i had to return the jacket.
Warm but stiff.
2nd one I have owned, can't beat the quality!
Last one lasted 15 years 5 days a week working the trades.
Is very warm. My boyfriend loves it.
The only coats I will wear
I had to purchase a new coat because I wore my first coat until I wash the color out of the material the coat is winter ready, and very warm, I will miss the coat, it will be Donated.
Great coat, fits good and good quality.
Great jacket
Exactly what I needed and was expecting!!! Superior quality, fit, and comfort!
I returned it
As advertised looks good fits comfortably and is warm great coat
It’s to small can I return it at the store or do I have to ship it back
Jacket was stiff and oversized. Returned jacket and bought a different carhartt style from a local store that I like.
It definitely is a loose fit - just right for layering. Looks like it will be hard wearing and long lasting. This is my third Carhartt product. Happy with purchase.
Great jacket!!! Stiff at first but softening up as I use it. Love the Carhartt brown color.
great quality and fit
Love it ! Best coat I ever bought! Get a lot of complement's!
Tough jacket, nice warm and durable. Goes great with insulated coveralls. Great combo!
Nice and warm
I would have rated this great coat at 5 stars, except for 2 reasons:<br />- I could not get it in Moss Green. I have truly enjoyed my previous version of this same coat, in Moss Green, for over 12 years.<br />- The inside left pocket is now an angled, smaller affair instead of the larger, top-opening pocket on the previous model. Now my cell phone won't fit inside. Why would you ever make a successful pocket SMALLER?<br />The first comment above was not enough to dissuade me from purchasing this newer replacement. The second comment was not enough reason to make me return the coat, but I did think about it.
Great Service
Got the loose fit -hubby didn’t like that it was big fitting -too loose -but trying to wear it! Should have got regular fit!!
Stiff, heavy and daunting to start with, but I know what it will soon become when it breaks in a bit, and that is the very best second skin I’ve ever owned. It is a great credit to Carhartt that they have managed three, difficult things: 1) kept the design of perfect gear virtually unchanged, 2) continued to build their brand and expand, and, 3) remained a family owned business. Keep it up!
Love it. Fits perfectly, comfortable and warm. Takes the place of two other jackets.
Same quality I have come to expect after years of using this company's gear for work.
My third coat from you guys. I wear them till there is nothing left. Well made and super warm and roomy.
Reliable brand as always
Well made (sturdy). Generously sized.
I feel very comfortable and warm in my jacket. My daughter-in-law even noticed about the fit and the jacket’s neatness. I would recommend this jacket for Michigan’s fall weather
Great coat, very warm.
Fabric is way too stiff even after washing it was still too stiff
Had a coat like this before so this is a replacement after many years of service.<br />Not sure who came up with the new design inside zipped pocket not useful at all
Very good quality fits nice and is very warm.
Love everything about it…except how overall big this thing is. The jacket is so big is hard to move the folds out of the way to zip it up.<br /><br />1x was tight, 2 x is sloppy looking with long sleeves. Something in between would be nice.<br /><br />Just under 6ft. 230lbs and I can fit a child in with me. Other than that..love it.
Shoulder and arm area are baggier than my last one. Guess all these stretch jeans and bigger sizes are for bigger people nowadays.
The coat itself is great, very well made, but it was hard to buy the right fit online, even after talking to customer service. We ended up with a jacket that is too baggy. Would have preferred to find one in person, but our local vendor was out of them.
I love eveything about this coat, including the price!!
Real great coat . Would be better with snaps not velcro.<br />The velcro gets hooked on everything it gets near ,but great coat for the money
Fit as described.
I needed a little bit bigger than medium and large was too big the medium loose fit is perfect bigger on chest and not long on the arms
I like jacket more comfortable.
This is the best cold weather coat I have owned. Good wind blocker. This is my second one. They wear like iron. Gives years of service. My 1st. is 15 years old and the only reason I’m replacing it is because the sleeves are now frayed.
Great fit and durable coat.
The second try with a Small was perfect! Our teen has been wearing everywhere, including the occasional night sleeping in it LOL. Thanks for a seamless return and re-ordering experience.
The coat fits well with room for a hoodie, it’s warm with a good amount of pockets. I love it!
Always the absolute best products and quality.
Good jacket stiff exterior so it needs to be broke in. Plenty of room. Pricing is good. Would recommend if your outside doing work.
Thank you ??
Excellent fit!
Great fit. Classy looking, warm, and comfortable.
Great jacket, the loose fit is very comfortable and heavy duty. Can't wait for it to get broken in. The guys at work like the look of it,now they are going to get one of their own.
My husband love it …
Best jacket I’ve ever owned. Found this online and ordered a size too big. Brought it into my local Carhartt store and they were able to package it up and order a new one. Got to my home quickly and fits perfectly.
Much warmer than my previous coat. Wind does not penetrate it
My first coat was traditional brown as my second and third. My last two have been moss green. The last one I bought is getting a little tattered and torn from my hard use. I put these coats through a lot working as electrician in Minnesota. None of the coats wore out except for the pockets from me carrying tools and getting holes in them. In my opinion best coats made. Please bring back Moss Green. Black and Navy don’t do well with Sheetrock dust and everyone has carhartt brown.
Very comfortable and warm had the exact one lasted 15 years extremely durable definitely recommend it for anyone in the trades
Perfect fit for me. Highly recommend this product!
Great coat, like style and fit<br />I would highly recommend
Husband loves it!
WAY too big in the shoulders and sleeves, I have to return it. Wasn't clear in the product description that this was loose fit versus traditional
great coat
Tough work coat
there a tuff coat very durable they buck the wind to.............there nice to work in...........i;d buy another
Great coat
VERY WARM shop coat.
I liked the coat, but had to return it. I'm 5'9" tall and weigh 165 lbs. This coat is made for someone who is 5'9" tall and weighs 265 lbs. It was enormously big. Thanks.
Fits well true to size
This is my 3rd coat I’ve bought, not due to the coat falling apart, but me gaining weight lol. I love these coats.
I have to send it back. I didnt realize it has feathers in it. Im allergic to feathers
Owned a small for 15 years, wore it everyday in the winter doing construction until zipper broke and had few small worn out spots. Bought again I've grown out not up, small is a little tight but should stretch, medium was too big and sleeves too long. These jackets fit bigger as I'm normally a medium.
This is my second coat like this one and wear it for work every day ! We have 7 months of winter ! I like this coat and it warm
The product arrived on time as mentioned. It fits great there is plenty of room even when I wear a hoodie under the coat. I still have enough flexibility to move while I am performing my work duties. It is so comfortable and keeps me warm as I have to work outside. I like it very much.
Every year order jacket to keep warm in work environment again say couldn't be more satisfied
Shipping was fast and I know my husband will love it. However, the outside of the box is plastered in the carhart logo, this makes it hard to disguise as a gift
Looks fantastic, good and heavy cloth material, ample room in the pockets both inside and out. Warm as grandma's house inside. <br />It's a Carhartt, that says it all.
Though it is a little more noticeably stiff when driving, the jacket is very warm an need only a t-shirt underneath to keep warm.
Bought for husband and he loves it! Second one he’s owned in this style and it’s perfect for working outdoors in the winter. Highly recommend
More firmer then I expected
My husband absolutely LOVES this particular Carhartt coat! I always buy him one every other year. Amazing coat.
Nice jacket, but way too bulky. Add any layers underneath and you feel like the Michelin Man. I regret not purchasing another Chore Coat instead.
I’m 300 lbs and this 3X fits with just the right room to spare. Love it. Fits great, looks great.
I like it it’s warm fites me well<br />Could be a little softer
Extremely good material as well as a handsome jacket!<br />Very satisfied customer.
The best I love it
Great product for work or causal wear. <br />I wish Carhart did not have stop making the Green color from 4-5 years ago. Much nicer color for everyday wear.<br />Hope Carhart will consider making the Green Color next year.<br />As for warmth, Great !!
To big need a shall size
Excellent replacement for my older coat
Always loved this jacket my first Carhartt was in 1993 while living in Colorado. Much older now and it was time to replace my old one. It seems to be of the same quality as my original one. Thank you
Did great! Just have to break it in to soften it up. As is it can stand up on its own in the corner ??
Have a tough time getting the zipper to zip
I love my jacket, it is for work and I am in the steel industry. One thing I don't like about it is the length but I can live with that
Very stiff material. Have washed several times, still feels like a straight jacket
Great coat
This is the second coat I have had like this. I am very pleased with its comfort as well as keeping me warm I would suggest this coat to anyone.
This is my second time getting this coat. I’ve always been pleased with my previous one. Very rugged and well made. Classic carhartt look.
Always quality I can count on thank you!
Just as great as the last one that I still have and wear. For six years now
This is a coat that is very warm on its own for those colder autumn days and with a layer underneath is a warm winter coat.
I was hit by a station wagon that ran a red light as I was turning left, I realized he was not slowing and I was going to be T boned so I aborted my left turn and had transitioned to going right and saw we might just miss each other when as he crossed the lines in the intersection he saw me, panicked and stomped the brakes which made his car skid which made the rear end of his car come sliding at me at an angle like a pinball paddle, I impacted at the A pillar which my torso bent inwards as my left arm smashed through the windshield breaking my left wrist and the back of my left hand had hundreds of tiny glass particles embedded that continued to erupt from my hand for 6 months, the injuries ended at my wrist cuff as I had my Carhart jacket on as usual, my Carhart never left me cold riding a motorcycle at night in 30 F temps , with wind chill it gets below zero, I was catapulted down the road like a rag doll sliding along the asphalt for over 100 feet, my Levi 501's were shredded in most spots and I had road rash from waist to knees, the only place I did not get road rash was where my jacket was! It survived without any rips , tears, failures protecting my torso as I slid like a rag doll across the asphalt at 50 mph, if I had Carhart jeans I could have been spared the legs road rash which really made my left femur break in 5 places, one of which was the femoral head, 1 of which was compound and was sticking through my jeans like a pork chop bone in my pocket, I knew I had no pork chops so that bone was mine! The paramedic started cutting my jacket off and I protested however with 2 broken wrists and a femur with 5 fractures I was in no shape to take off my jacket so they cut it off, they were amazed how my body was unharmed by the glass as my entire left forearm smashed through the windshield, the back of my hand looks like a shotgun with game load sprayed my hand but from my wrists up my forearm is fine, needless to say I have bought 2 new jackets since then, my size is really hard to find but they make a jacket even bigger than I need, I am 6 ft and 318, I have a Northface parka with 0 rating and my Carhart's are warmer and 1000 times tougher!
He loves it!!!
Very nice looking coat. Fits nice and is warm
The sizing guide bears no resemblance to the article. I am a 40” chest, which corresponds to a medium, and it is wayyyyy to big.<br /><br />I’ll be returning it.
Its nice to have something that fit an American. Most stuff is labeled XXl and is a large sixe, not sure where they come up with there sizes. So it felt great getting the correct size. I had original ordered an Xl instead of an XXl. I called had purchased a second coat in XXl. liked both of them so now I have two that's how good they are.
Keeps me very warm. Thanks
I love this jacket! I never get cold. Amazing!
Have washed in vinegar, washed 10 times, still stands alone it is like cardboard. My husband will be 90 before it is soft or wearable.
It is awesome thick insulated and fits perfectly ?? my new favorite clothes
I have the same jacket in black that I bought almost 20 years ago. I love that jacket but now it has some significant visible wear, so I wanted to replace it. I was really excited to get the new jacket, but unfortunately I just didnt like how the new one fit. The sleeves were extremely "puffy", the chest pockets were too low and more like abdomen pockets. If you look at the picture on the website, the sleeves do look puffy there too, but the chest pockets on mine seemed to be lower than what is pictured. After trying the new one on, I realized that I liked my old one a lot more. So I ended up returning the new one back to the store.
I highly recommend this jacket. It's warm and durable. The only issue I have is the courderoy collar irritates my neck occasionally. But once the collar breaks in, I think I will be fine. The coat wears a bit on the large side.
Awesome coat!! I know because it’s not my first one.
Same great canvas exterior . The insulation is less then my same coat that’s 10 years old. So just wear an extra sweatshirt. Break in period is the same for non stiff movement
Unfortunately the coat was too large.
Coat is very good at keeping you warm. Have received many compliments on its appearance.
I am enjoying coat very much.<br />Thank you
The jacket is great. very comfortable, keeps me warm in very cold 15-30 degrees with very cold wind chills. grat jacket. But the zipper does piss me off. The zipper is very difficult getting the zipper started.
I love this jacket the look style color its warm light weight. This is my second one I've had. I would like you guys to bring the Grey one back. Black collar Grey jacket. Don't stop making this jacket i will keep buying them. Thank you
Warm, durable and comfortable
Best jacket ever
Great coat warm as can bee
Needs snaps instead of velcro
I really like my coat for the winter and I think it works great to break the cold wind. You will need to wash it to have a more relax feel. I had one other for about twenty years and I us it for working out in the yard.
Simply the final word when it comes to Duck jackets. The quality and heftiness will acompany me in Canadian winters keeping me warm and snag free, next to leather this is the next best material for durability. I assume this jacket will last decades the way it is built. Thanks for another great piece of gear carhartt.
solid coat. can't wait for it to break in a little bit more and soften up a bit through some more wear. durable
Second one I have owned. Great jacket
This is without a doubt the best and warmest coat I've ever owned. Would love to see carhartt make a storm defender version of this coat.
My husband loves his new coat! His other one was 25 years old
Looks and fits great
Fit was terrible. Way too large. Should have been 2 sizes smaller. Quality is not what Carhartt used to be. Very disappointed. Won’t order again.
It’s nice, but the zipper is practically useless
I love it. The only coat I will buy!
Very good coat.
Awesome coat..warm ,functional, durable
In thirty years I have gone through two of them. Flat-out the warmest gear I have ever worn. In the winter, I will never wear anything else!
Arctic lining is the warmest coat ever, the outer layer keeps out the wind.
Works perfect, great fit and keeps him warm in these freezing temperatures!
FAST SHIPPING AND GREAT FIT<br /><br />6’2” 190lbs BOUGHT SIZE LARGE (REG)<br /><br />PERFECT FIT??
A little big but was looking for a J002 jacket but none found anywhere.
Rugged, comfortable, and good fit.
This jacket is flexible, durable and warm! Rugged, sturdy, all in all a great jacket!
Ordered a regular cut, medium size coat. Got a medium "loose fit" coat. Is huge in the shoulders.
Very warm and comfortable for cold weather. My go to jacket
This is a great jacket. I have owned 3 before this and have liked every one of them.
The BEST winter jacket I have ever owned. PERIOD! Generous through the shoulders . I got a size smaller than I thought I needed. If you are between sizes...I would size down. It has been brutal in Chi-Town lately and I haven’t felt cold once with this jacket. Well worth the purchase! Don’t think... just purchase now!
I bought this jacket as a gift, but the person I bought it for loves it and told me it keeps him warm.
I have nothing but trouble and frustration with this zipper. The double zipper is very difficult to seat so that it will zip up without a LOT of fiddling! I liked the older single zipper SO much more. In fact, I likely will not buy this coat again simply due to the zipper. I have worn Carhartt duck coats for 30 years, and it kills me that the poor zipper is keeping me from buying a new one.
Merely a replacement for one that was 25 years old, best jacket in the world. Just that new ones are just a little stiff how to soften it please, I will wear it for a long time but I am 70 and don't want to wait for 25 years to break it in.<br /><br />I'm not a fan of the zipper inside pocket, valcro would have been my choice. It is the mainly for the phone and with glove on its difficult to access
Great Coat, XL tall is perfect...I’m 6’1” 220lbs....lots of pockets and warm!
Excellent warmth and rain proff
Hood snaps do not hold well to hood and don't like the vertical zipper on the inside pocket. Horizontal zipper would allow for better contents security.
Have had this style for 30 years. Love this coat. Like the inside pockets.
This is my 5th one, love them… this one is a little tighter in the arm pits area but overall a good fit
Just purchased these for members of our fire department, everyone loved them! Highly recommended. I have had one of these coats for years and cant wear out the material.
This replaces a Carhartt coat at least 20 years old,
Rugged and comfortable.
way too big. looked like Minecraft guy. returned it.
Perfect fit and nice and warm!
Durable work coat. My 3rd coat over a 5 year period. Wear about every day fall to spring working on farm and with cattle.
I really like the new jacket, I've always been a fan of Carhartt. I will continue to be and will recommend this product, along with other products to anyone.
The coat is wellmade, but the lining is much thinner, then my same coat I bought from you 12 years ago
This is the 3rd one I bought the same exact same one on here and I just bought me a new just 2 days ago its warm and very durable next I want to get me the bibs to match and the only coats I get is nothing but carhartt I and they fit really good but I always buy mine bigger but I love it the you can never go wrong with carhartt.
The calor was thin and wasn't as comfortable as previous artic jackets the angled zipper pocket is hard to use go back to a level zipper pocket also I would like to see a leather logo not a cheap fabric logo
Larger than my previous one, but I haven’t washed it yet. Same quality as I demand. This is my 6th coat in 25 years, not to bad for wearing in a construction job.
My husband is very happy with his new coat.
Durable, warm, and comfortable to wear. This is my daily work coat.
I like the coat .It is not for extreme weather as I thought it would be but it serves the purpose .It is warm .zipper is not as smooth as in normal coats,I would recommend it.
This is the third coat from Carhartt my husband has gotten over 35 years. He works out in the weather and sun so it really takes a toll on his clothing. He says it keeps him warm, is comfortable, and he loves the versatility. We wouldn't buy anything else. And honestly he would have kept wearing them but I wanted him to look nicer after years of construction worker wear and tear.
This was a gift for my husband . He has always liked the carhartt brand of clothing. I'm very pleased with the look and fit of this coat for him . I would highly recommend to any one who wants something that will last and is well made to look at your website .
Love it, first one lasted 8 years before the zipper broke and it started showing it's age with more wear and holes. So I ordered another.
Very comfortable and nice fit for me it was 16 degrees and I was comfortable in it
This is my husbands second coat like this. The first one is still being worn, but a bit tattered. It was time for an upgrade. Very warm coat also.
Superior Quality!<br />Fits Perfectly!
It doesn't seem as warm as my old one. The hood snaps don't line up with my old hood and the new hoods are not in stock until August according to you website. The collar lacks the throat cover that my old one had.
Worst fitting Carhartt jacket I’ve ever worn. Big, boxy, stiff. The only upside is that it’s warm. Returned it and am currently awaiting refund from Carhartt.
Coat is perfect as they all have been. customer service was more than helpful in getting this coat to me
Other than the fact that it runs a little on the large side (the medium we ordered could have easily been considered a large) it's a great jacket and the quality we've come to expect from your company. My husband and now my son, who the jacket was for, have worn your clothes - work pants, bibs, coats, VERY regularly over the years. We've tried another brand a couple times, but we always come back to Carhartt. We are definitely a repeat customer. Bottom line, your stuff holds up well! :)
This coat runs too big
Great coat, wish the hood was in stock. Highly recommend this coay
My husband is 6’5” finding classic items to fit him has always been a challenge the arm length never seems long enough. I discovered the Carthartt store while visiting Boston and have made it my online go to for big and tall. He is so proud of his new jacket XXLT . I ordered it in black and he looks so nice in it
Really nice coat. The shoulders are a bit wider than needed.
The XL in this style seems a little bigger than other carhartt coats. We had to return and order a large. But the customer service on the return was amazing and the look of the coat is perfect
Warm jacket and good fit
The sleeves are too long!
This would have been my third identical Duck (over 25 years). However, when it arrived it quickly became clear that Carhartt had changed the snaps for the snap-on hood. The male snaps on the jacket were visibly defective and would not hold the hood on.
Got it for my son, he really likes it
I bought the first coat like this and still have it and love it just starting to show its age that’s why I wanted another one
What's there to say? Doug has been wearing Carhartts for over forty years. Can't beat them, nothing comes close. He prefers these with the quilted lining for ease of putting on and off over flannel.
The best coat the only thing i wished it had is bigger maybe put some snaps on the hand pocket i really like the size and shape of the hand pockets but they get snow in when when cleaning the cars off.
I bought this jacket in 2003 as I began a new phase of my career as a construction engineer building large utility power plants. Almost 18 years and 15 projects later, it is still in great shape for work and I wear it every winter for my construction work. Other then the edges of the sleeves fraying, the jacket is still fully functional and it's durability is unheard of in today's market of throw away clothing and products. I will never own another work jacket for construction other than Carhartt.
This was purchased as a gift, and the recipient was happy with it. Would like to see more American made products, seems like most Carhartt products are now made in foreign countries.
Great . Very warm . I love it ..
These jackets are still the best winter work jacket made.
This coat is a lot lighter weight than my older coat .I'm afraid if I wash it will be history . It is already coming apart so I believe its cheaply made.
Toughest, warmest coat I’ve owned, I’d recommend getting the hood, don’t even need a hat it’s so warm, I’d say it runs true to size too
I've been ordering this same jacket for 20 years now on the farm. Miss the most customized sizes. I fall somewhere between a small and medium, but neither fit like well/
Big and Roomy
Coat is a little on the stiff side, but should soften up after a couple of washes and wears. Nice to see inside pockets. Overall nice durable coat for the money.
This coat is the classic extra-warm Carhartt. Classic coat.
Great coat, had to return due to size. Bought another.
I give 5 out of 5 for the older jackets made in the US Not sure about the new ones made elsewhere. I have not worn the new one enough.
Finally tried 2 days ago. very warm, still a little stiff needs more wearing. one thing I did not like it seems to be a hair and fuzz magnet. A little big on me. tried a medium at store near me and it was too tight. they did not have a large to try on. I still would have purchased it.
It does its job and keeps you comfortable.
The new coat is excellent. It is very warm and comfortable.
Good quality
Response from the man I gave it to. “Best jacket I have ever owned “
I purchased the dark blue coat. It came in a timely fashion and was nicely boxed. It is very stiff, even after washing it and runs a bit small compared to other brands. I still enjoy the warmth of this coat and highly recommend it.
I had one of these in Alaska and it kept me warm in -43F weather.
Best cold weather work jacket there is.
This is my second - I wore my other one so often, for so long, it just wore out. Warm, rugged, good looking - can’t go wrong!
Will last you decades
I have had my coat for over 20 years and love it! It is now time for a replacement, will buy only if you start making in the USA again.
Perfect as I expected. 5stars
Fits my tall frame great, and has good quality.
great coat very pleased
Haven't had to use it much. Only had a chance to wear it a couple of times so far. Temp was 28 degrees. It blocks wind very well, it is very warm. Durability, we will find out, but if it is as good as the rest of the Carhart lines it will be great.
I bought this for a Christmas gift for my son in law. I know he will love it. Can’t beat Carhartt quality!
This coat will keep you very warm in the winter it is very durable . My last won lasted 20 years and I replaced it with the same coat and size , I highly recommend this coat .
Warmest coat I own
I have had several over my life and I just prefer car hart they last the longest
Would absolutely recommend this coat. Very warm, it's got some good stretch room, 2 way zipper, and big deep pockets. Great coat.
Good product as usual from a great company
This coat is the best quality I ever had. Really is warm n fits over clothes just right. Thanks for making it .
I would prefer some more pockets on the inside
Very nice coat. Still pretty stiff even after washing.
It all Dat! It what I really wanted.
This is a very comfortable and warm jacket
Bought this for someone. He was very happy to receive it.
Your older version was better. Warmer and softer.
My husband couldn't find the coat in the farm stores that he wanted for work so we ordered it and it is just what he wanted. This is his favorite work coat .
C003 Brown Arctic Duck Coat arrived very fast. I am absolutely 100% satisfied with it! Excellent condition and craftsmanship. Symmetrical stitching and overall excellently made. C18 Watch hat also came in excellent condition. I will highly recommend this product. I could not enter the size and fit review correctly so I will write it here. Fits true to size.
Love this jacket! It provides excellent comfort and durability. I am certain it will last me a lifetime and have received plenty of compliments about the appearance. By far my favorite coat to wear in the winter.
Fits perfect, happy with the chore coat.
I love my new coat
Replaced my 15 year old jacket with an exact replica and it fit perfectly. Ready for the snow now!
Excellent quality. This coat repels sawdust pretty well,as good as it gets without resorting to leather.
I have owned a variety of Carhartt apparel for the past twenty years. While the older jackets are no longer in “Sunday, go to church” condition, their incredible durability means that I still have them around for yard work on cold days.
Great quality and fit!
This jacket is guaranteed to keep you warm when you are outside working on cold, windy days. It sheds water reasonably well, and stands up to any kind of punishment you can throw at it. The recessed cuffs do a great job of stopping drafts from blowing up your sleeves, and the articulated elbows and gusseted back help you move and work.
Got the navy version and the matching hood and it worked excellent this winter. I keep my hands in the pockets most of the time when wearing it and have noticed the tag ends of the stitching on one of the main pockets has popped up but its still good and sewn on. Seems like its gonna hold up well for several more years.
Great jacket, plenty durable and warm. A touch big, just wear a sweatshirt underneath
My parents bought this jacket for me when I was a senior in high school. It was my first Carhartt anything. I wore the jacket working at a lumberyard in high school and college, wore it all through college, and now wear it in my job as a custom homebuilder. It's stood the test of time, always keeps me warm, and I will never get rid of it. I wear a Medium, and the Small fit me best.
Very good quality jacket but size do run big so you might want to go one size small
I wore my new Carhartt Arctic Quilted coat ice fishing on the weekend. It was nice to be able to be active and not get damp with the resulting cold feeling. Thank you Carhartt for making winter gear you can actually work in and still feel comfortable.<br />A Canadian Fisherman
The zipper was defective so the coat could not be closed.
I love this coat… or I should say once it’s broken in and softened a bit! It’s very warm and comfortable. I’ve washed it once and that softened it somewhat. After winter, I’ll wash it again.
Correct size and fit. The coat is great in moderate to extreme cold. I immediately ordered the hood that attaches. With the complete gear it make a very warm cocoon! I highly recommend this coat and hood.
It is of good quality material. A little stiff even after a wash. Breaking the coat in slowly
I,ve been wearing Carhartt clothing for more than 50 years and this is my third Artic Quilt Lined coat. I work out doors. Carhartt clothing is about the only thing that will keep me warm and hold up.
My husband was looking for a classic Carhartt
It's very hard to get the zipper started. On several occasions I used the velcro bands to close it because I couldn't engage the zipper. I wish the jacket was shorter in length.
This is the 2nd Artic quilt-lined coat I have bought for my husband. He is a rancher and works outside in all kinds of weather. These coats keep him warmer and sheds rain better than any other brand he has tried.<br /><br />We have not seen these coats in our area farm/ranch stores. Had it not been for a friend recommending the Arctic series, he wouldn't know what he was missing. Now that he does know, he doesn't want to be without it when the temps dip into the teens.<br /><br />The coats are very stiff when 1st used. After a few washings they soften a little.
Love the generous functional pockets with locking capabilities and heavy duty 2 way brass zipper that is good for driving . Unlike a hoodie and some of the other jackets , you can put something in a pocket and ride a horse or whatever and be confident it will be stay there .<br /> My Paxton Rain Defender Hoodie had the zipper break on 3rd day and was unable to put back on . <br /><br />Judging by the massive size and ease of operation of this zipper it looks like it will last a long time as did the 1 on my other COO3 . <br />Very stiff, but that is what makes it good for outdoor protection and work .
This superb coat is a replacement for the same coat he wore out. He loved it so much he asked me to get a new one. It keeps him warm loading trailers, moving outdoor inventory in the Chicago cold. They take awhile to break in, but are definitely worth it.
Very warm and durable very happy with it
I like the jacket a lot and honestly, I don't find the stiffness bothering at all. The only bone to pick is at around 20 degrees, even with a t-shirt and a flannel shirt down, it's still pretty cold if you are only walking. I live in CT and the winter is usually about 20, which means I have to wear a rather heavy sweater under it to go outside. Not a big issue, but just don't expect this to be a down parka.
My father is very particular about his jackets and the requirements that have to meet. My dad bought a jacket similar to this one almost 20 years ago from Carhartt and it lasted him until the end of December 2019. He hasn't bought a new jacket from anywhere but Carharrt since then because of the quality and durability didn't compare to this jacket.
Bought this coat for my husband. He has always worn a Large Tall in Carhartt coats. This was huge. I'm not sure why the sizing is so drastically different after a few years, but apparently a 6'1" 200lb man needs a Medium or smaller? We returned it to a local store and luckily they had the actual coat he wanted to replace his old one, the Original Carhartt coat, and a Large Tall fit just like it normally would. It would be nice if the sizes didn't change depending on what style you choose, it's very frustrating. I don't know if I would order from the website again, it seems like every time I do, it ends up being more of a hassle than it's worth.
This is my second coat I have been a fan of carhartt over 20 yrs now.<br />There is one thing that would be nice if you have the front pockets for your hands have a very thick fleecelined front pockets that would be great on all coats and jackets.
I just received my coat on Thursday. got to wear it for the first time on Saturday to do some chores outside. The coat was comfortable and warm. Fits well. A little stuff but I'm sure it will break in with use. Only negative is not very water resistant. wish it would've lasted a little longer before the rain soaked through but other than that I am so far happy with the purchase.
Customer service agent Alonso helpful n patient from start to finish....i dont do very on line/ website ordering but this was a smooth experience...recommend it
I love the coat, The fit, the look and the useful pockets. I guess I have to get used to the double zipper. It takes a bit to get it started but it appears to be a durable.
Where is the insulation? Compared to my (2) other Arctic Quilt coats this new one is essentially the same shell with just a liner there is no puffy insulating material in the middle. I tried to get a product person at Carhartt to explain this but I just kept getting the same message that it’s their warmest coat and I should return it to where I got it if I’m not happy. This doesn’t solve my problem which is to replace my worn out Arctic’s with a new one. It could be as simple as Carhartt using some new super light weight insulation...
I have now purchased three separate coats having to return them all as the snaps on the jacket seem to be faulty. The separate hood snap easily to my old jacket and my old snow suit. Since this issue has been found in three seperate jackets from three different suppliers in appears to be a manufacturing issue.
Nice to see some patterns don't change. Bought this style of coat 15 years ago. It was just as stiff and bulky as my new one! It took a couple of washings to soften up and has lasted for years! Although my original coat has faded and frayed at the sleeve ends, it is still going strong! Just needed an unfrayed look do to being in the public eye! I'm confident that the new one will last just as long! Thanks!
Sleeves absurdably long
My dad loves it....
Seemed too stiff while wearing
I've purchased Carhartt jackets for years. Never had a problem with any of them. Yes, at first they are all a little stiff, but like anything else they have to be broken in. We get them embroidered and have never had any issues with the quality. We like this style because of the length and durable material.
You just can’t go wrong with this Carhartt coat. My first one of this model went 25 years of hard use so I ordered another one of the same model.
One of favorite coats very happy with my purchase, will get the blue one next
Good purchase
I recently purchased this coat in February and I have been wearing it for about a month now and I just recently noticed that there was a rip on the left elbow while working in the shop. I never really used this coat for vigorous activities and I’m disappointed that this has happened. I know these jackets aren’t bulletproof but I wish that it would’ve help up around the shop longer than it did
These are the best winter coats in my opinion. Warm and comfortable for the Wisconsin winters. I have had two older versions of this coat an had the zipper pull come off both. Not a big deal and an easy fix with some mechanics wire. This new one appears to have a new and improved zipper. Thus I believe the zipper pull issue has been addressed. I am very particular about my gear and this is the only coat I will buy. The quality is great and I would reccomend this coat to everyone. Thanks Carhartt!
Over the last 25 years, I've owned a few of these. They've always looked the same - except this most recent one I've bought. Now - I'm not buying this to look fashionable - this has always been my go-to for hellish cold weather. However, this item, like many other Carhartt items, has fallen prey to weird sizing. After exchanging my normal size (XL) for a Large, it fit well enough (still a touch roomy)...but there's one thing that kind of bugs me...the shoulders look extremely square and boxy. Never had a Arctic Coat look like this. It doesn't affect the function, or the quality - it's just a visual thing that bugs me a little. Minor quibble.
The jacket is really stiff, even after washing and drying. A little of the tan color has already rubbed off, that I've noticed after taking it out of the dryer. It was run on medium dry,as per directions, and washed by itself. I was trying to find a newer version of the coat that has had for 15 years, and I'm still not sure if this is the one. My husband has shied away from wearing it, bc it's so stiff. So at this moment, it feels like a waste of money. Honestly, I'm not very pleased with it, and I'm generally easy to please.. :(
As the title notes, marketed and sold with arctic weight insulation, so where is it.....not warm below 40, expected to be warm down to 30 without another layer. Have a knock-off that is much warmer. Not impressed with the Carhartt, will not buy another one.
I am a huge Carhartt Fan. Tons of sweatshirts, gloves, and hats. I was super excited for this jacket until I put it on. Was enormously way too big and yet the insulation wasn't as thick as expected. Unfortunately since I bought it with my rewards bucks I am stuck with it but such is life.
i brought this coat about 20 years ago, i wore it for like 2 years and I forgot i had it in my closet until recently , still like new
Runs large and if you move a lot while working outdoors, this is not the jacket I would recommend.
I would fully recommend the Duck Traditional Arctic Quilt lined Coat. I'm actually looking forward to it getting colder so i can truly see how warm it is. <br /> So far at freezing temp's, i'm very warm wearing just a hoodie underneath. I bought the matching hood and it is just as windproof as the coat is.<br /> And in pouring rain, the rain beaded up and rolled off the coat, much to my delight. If you follow Carhartt's advise about wearing layers under your coat in sub zero weather, you'll stay warm for many years to come.
Should be made in America this was the main reason I buy these will be a factor next time I buy a work coat
Medium was way too big but small fit tight across the hips. Definitely will not be able to get a vest on under it.
If you're going to buy a Carhartt, DO NOT DO IT ONLINE. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF PAIN. I'm 5.10 and 130 pounds and put in my stats in the 'find your fit' on carhartts website. The site said it would fit perfectly and I naively believed them. When I ordered my medium I resonably expected it to maybe fit a little loose. However when I got my jacket I could not believe the size. My MEDIUM jacket fit almost like a XL. My 6.3 and 220 pound father easily fit into the jacket. The arms were made for either a silver back gorilla or a body builder with 22 inch biceps. The jacket was so large it did even fit around my waist when using the waist adjustment draw string. Due to it being so huge I could not comfortable move around and it lost a lot of the insulation it could have had and so it did not keep me very warm. On top of this, I know people say to wear a sweater or something under it but I shouldn't be able to wear THREE winter coats under it AND STILL HAVE SPACE. i ended up having to pay to send it back and I have the receipt to prove it. In all, the build quality is indeed great, but the measurements and sizing is so far of that the jacket looses most if not all of it's; looks, function, insulation, and comfort. Do not buy from Carhartt online.
Extremely stiff, but should break in fine. The double zipper can be a bit of a pain to zip up but it is definitely beefy. Honestly, I would have been fine with just one zipper. Super warm and good build construction otherwise.
Waaaay to big! Is cut very large. I know—wear a sweater under?? But it’s already quilted. I ordered a Medium and I’m 5’ 8”, so hardly a small guy, and certainly not a large one. But the jacket was way too big. Had to go to trouble of a) ordering a Small, so I’d get it ASAP ; b) returning the other one. Apart from that, looking forward to getting my new, trimmer, Small.
A little too big but I accounted for shrinkage , just found out it has the snaps for a hood , should of come with it , but no.
Bought a C003 years ago. Size 48. Best work coat ever. Wore it out. Still warm though. Ordered a new XL. It’s way too big. Sending that to my son. Ordered a L. It’s almost too small. I’m 6’2” 225 lb. Great jackets but very disappointed with the sizing.
I have a old Carhartt jacket, do not know what style it is, or style number. This jacket that I bought, fits me to the tee. It is warmer, and I like it. The old jacket has the logo done by a machine, does not look like new jacket logo. That gives you a idea how old it is.
I believe the jacket will wear great, the fit is interesting. As others have said, the arms are made for a body builder or gorilla, probably enough room in one for both of my arms. I f only I got the color I ordered! I can't comment on durability yet, but my other carhartt jackets have been very durable.
Great coat. Lasts through hard Midwest winters on the farm. Daily use with extreme wear and tear and the coat outlasts any other brand while maintaining function and warmth. Only brand that will fit an CL tall like it should . Breaks in to a moveable and lighter finish.
Warm comfortable. Good looking. It’ll give me years of use
LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I would recommend to anyone. Great quality!!
It’s the first jacket i’ve received compliments on in long time. It’s very comfortable also.
Runs large. I ordered 2x but should have gotten a 1x.
great coat, once I figured your size table. I usually take a 3xl. but your sizes run large, so I ended up with a 2xl. fits perfectly.
My last one lasted 20 years. Hopefully the new one last just as long.
many thanks to Carhartt for making the best. I worked heavy construction for 35 years and am retired now so I don't wear them out as fast as I use to but I still demand the best. thanks again!
I normally fit a medium in the few Carhartts I have owned, but this one was way too big. when I ordered medium this was fitting like a large normally does. Sleeves were way too long and I looked like a little kid wearing a dads jacket. Quality was great and did come back and order a small. Because its a duck jacket instead of sandstone, it will need some breaking in and will be stiff for a while, but I would go with this one because the duck is more water repellant than sandstone, which, in northeast Texas, we get a lot more rain than snow when its cold. This jacket looks good, and is very durable.
The coat is very warm and I am very pleased. I tried out the hood outside in a storm and he gave me excellent protection of my head from the wind. I would extremely recommend this type of jacket for anyone having to work outside for long hours at a time. I think the price was very fair and $130 and the price of the hood was fair to T00. Even though it’s brand new it’s still remains very flexible I love the color navy blue different than my black Carhart jacket of the last time it was 15 to 20 years old and tattered with holes Discoloration in the zipper was broke it was well time to get a new jacket I am very pleased with that and I recommend it to everyone.
I’ve had two of these coats now and both have held up very well and very warm for Northern New York/Adirondacks region. My old one just didn’t fit anymore but I gave it to my brother in law and he loves it and has never been cold in it either. The coat is very stiff when it first comes like I could take it off and stand it up on the floor and it would stay there but like all carhartt coats they need to be worked in to be broken in.
Very warm,xl , roomy for my Artic Vest
During the cold winter months of Michigan I dont ever leave home without it. A bit stiff at first but after a few weeks and a first wash it feels fantastic. Perfection
I loved my previous Carhartt jacket... I literally wore it for over 10 years and it kept me warm without exception. I used the sizing chart to order my new coat and it suggested I order XL which I did, but it’s too big. Shoulda ordered L. The accompanying paperwork unfortunately said that I could not return for size, so I’m stuck, unless someone at Carhartt would be so kind as to contact me for a return
Superb craftsmanship and generous but appropriate fit. Thoughtful details with nice deep pockets to hold tools, gloves, etc. Looks sharp and very happy to be able to order it in the dark blue to hide stains and wear better. Shipping was earlier than promised and my husband will be able to work outside in the cold with comfort and protection. The website was super easy to use, too!
Bullet proof construction and material. Hope it lasts as long as my last one. Hate the long break in period.
Great fit and look. Extremely warm on frigid days. Very stiff shell that needs to be broken in by use and maybe a few cycles in the wash.
My husband loves it!!! Also he received many great compliments!!
Excellent coat. It’s going to last a good 10 years. Only thing is , it’s, very stiff at first.
This jacket is everything. Got it as a Christmas gift, needed a new winter jacket but wanted something rugged but also looked good. This jacket is it, it has handled heavy rain, windy snow storms, and always felt warm. The collar is flimsy and actually provides protection from wind, which is great cause this jacket doesn’t come with a hood, which is the only downside. I’m 6’1 with long arms and the medium fit well in the sleeves.
Good quality well fitting jacket
The coat is tough,Warm and comfortable. It will last thru our farm chores for years to come.
Great jacket !!! This is my first Carhartt. Don’t know why I did not own one before this … But will from now on !!!
Excellent coat for my trip to Maine
I order this and the insulated bibs on my son's recommendation. I'm glad that I did! Both fit exactly like I expected and both are super warm. I will ware these on those cold days that I am using my snowblower.
The coat would probably have been great, but I couldn't zip it. Between the stiffness of the fabric and the very short "lead" on the end of the zipper, I could literally not align the two part of the zipper to get it started. Had to return the coat.
I love this coat, it’s extremely warm and on a -20 day I was almost sweating, it fits a little large but it can be shrunk to a perfect fit
They changed the inside zipper pocket, it opens at a 45 now and also put a plastic zipper on it. Cheap for Carhartt. Other than that true to Carhartt specs. Good jacket
Before knowing much about Carhartt when i was looking to buy one, i was told that anything arctic lined was good for where i live (NY). Our winters are very cold and snowy. Sometimes into the negatives. I first found this coat on ebay (new) and i bought it in a size large thinking it would fit me since i wear a size large in coats/jackets/shirts etc. i couldn’t find it for sale locally in order to try it on nor did i even know i had a carhartt store local to me, so i took a chance and ordered it online. Boy was i sorry to have done that. <br /><br />This coat runs large. The large that i ordered fit me like a. XL-2XL. It was huge and very stiff! I felt like I was wearing cardboard. I couldn’t move in it at all. Since i couldn’t get it to zip up even though the zipper was fine, i just ended up wearing it over a lightweight sweatshirt in 35 degree weather. There was some light wind that day. It resisted the wind, but since my coat wasn’t zipped up and closed, i felt everything and i was cold. I even tried pulling it closed w/ my hand to block out some wind to attempt to keep myself at least a little warm. <br /><br />I was hoping this coat would work out for me but it didn’t. It was too large and too stiff. However, it’s a really thick and heavy coat and i’m sure it would work out for someone else but it did not work for me. I ended up selling it to someone else who loves it.<br /><br />If you’re interested in this coat, i suggest trying it on before ordering it (especially if females plan to get it).
I love this jacket so much I’ve got 2. One for work and one for casual wear. It’s comfortable, keeps me really warm and I think it’s fashionable.
My father in law passed away three years ago. This Fall, my wife and I discovered his Carhartt jacket in the back hall closet. Now it has become "everyone's" and I mean everyone's Favorite jacket. So much so, we found ourselves fighting over who got to wear the jacket. I was the "better man" and offered the jacket to my wife (it was her Dad after all) and bought myself a new Carhartt, Model 003.<br />"Best Damn jacket" I have ever had, and it always make me think of Grandpa Mac.<br /><br />Nice Work, Guys! You have kept the Sullivan/McDonald<br />Family together.<br /><br /> Bill Sullivan
Great coat. Purchased to replace one of the same design that I’ve had for 12 years
This is my second jacket in this style. It's awesome.
Is a great product, just a traditional coat that you imagine when you think of Carhartt.
5 stars on all- won’t allw me to review.<br />Keeps me much warmer. Nice looking coat
Amazing, so warm
Very warm however I ordered a 4xl and I swear it was the size of a 6xl. I could wrap it around me it was so big I had to give it away because it was useless to me
Last year my wife purchased me the same coat in blue in XL and it fit perfect, this is the reason I bought another one in the carhartt color, however, even though the same coat the new one seems a little bigger. I'm not as happy as I am with the blue one, but I'll live...
I work in a vineyard and I am outside 40 hours a week, rain or shine or snow. This will be my third winter wearing this jacket and I am very satisfied at it’s ability to keep me warm.<br />I have been in 10 degree weather with 30 mph wind gusts that make it feel like 15 below and I don’t even shiver. That’s how warm this jacket keeps me. It’s thickness also blocks the wind well. The jacket runs a little big, which I prefer, but one downside is wind can blow up a little from underneath so better tuck in your undershirt! <br />If it s snowing all day it gets a little damp but that’s t be expected. I’ve worked outside 10 hours in a snowstorm and never got wet. <br />Very durable and it doesn’t have a single rip or tear. The stitching is very solid and the zipper looks like it will never break. The right pocket shows a little wear where I clip on my pruner sheath, other than that the jacket looks new, albeit a little faded.<br />If I can make one complaint it’s about the snap on hood. I wish the front latch with the two snaps was a little longer as well as the Velcro latch. With a face mask(balaclava), scarf, wool hat, and a beard underneath it all, I can sometimes close the last snap, barely. The Velcro doesn’t attach well either and constantly pops off.<br />Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase and since I only use it 6 months out of the year I think it should last me at least 5 years. Very good investment.
I love this jacket. It will work all winter long
I love this jacket. It is well built, well designed and the quality is outstanding. There is not one lose thread, it's so well made. Thank You Carhartt.
Haven't worn it yet but this is my 2nd one and it's the reason I ordered it was because of how well I like the 1st one.
I replaced the same jacket I bought 4 years ago. Not because it was falling apart but because I got diesel and soot on it. I bought a replacement that is just as great but cleaner.
Sturdy fabric. Great visit.
It’s a great coat I would be buying all carhartt from now on for work gear and just everyday wear !!
It fits perfectly, thanks!
Your soft ware has a problem you can only illuminate one star at a time. I would rate the coat at 5 stars as I have purchased Carhartt <br />outer ware in the past.<br /> I purchased wrong size hood and waiting for a return address label so I can return it. Two online correspondence starting Feb 2<br />and still no label. At this point I believe your not going to send one.
Coat fits great.
Highly recommended. As usual carhartt is impossible to beat when it comes to work clothing.
This is a very warm jacket, but also very big and bulky. I received one of these from my employer. You will want to probably go down a size because the sleeves are long, body is long, midsection and chest are very generous. If i had went down a size it may not be such an issue, but it's almost too big and bulky to do very active work. Maybe if you're in a less physical job it will do fine. It does seem very durable and tough and it's comfortable, just tough to move in.
Awesome jacket. Good fit. I was outside at the mill standing on top of a building right along the Detroit river, it was 15 degrees outside an with the wind blowing…. probably closer to zero. jacket did its job.
Fits well. Sized up on the bibs. Looks good. Getting lots of compliments every time I wear them.
This is the 2nd coat like this my boyfriend has. The first one is still going strong after almost 10 years. I bought him a new one for every day wear and the old one to keep as his barn jacket. He is 6'11 300 lbs and the 2XLT fits him perfectly.
Bought for my love and he absolutely loves!!!
This is a great weight coat! Not heavy— but warm!
Great coat. Warm as can be.
Very classy looking and durable.
I am 62 years old and have worn Carhartt coats and coveralls since I first began to need warm work clothing. This coat is my fourth one of these. The Chore coat is warm, durable and is easy to move in. I highly recommend it, if this is the cut of coat that you like.
The one thing that I can count on for my carhart coat is that they will live up to what they say they are; Arctic coats wonderful in the cold weather.
Its exactly as shown in the picture <br />The only thing it runs big <br />Im usually an XL, but I have to change it to One size smaller because its just too big. <br />Another thing but, no biggie its very stiff. <br />But Im sure after a few washes itll soften up.
Best work coat there is.
My grandson said everything is perfect with the clothes I ordered
I am in charge of purchasing for my facility in Michigan. I purchased all of these coats for operators as they go outside in the frigid and wet weather. This coat is perfect for the cold days when you have to guy outside and they love the how they stay dry.
Nicely made, but sleeves overly large as well as hood. Would have kept it but husband could not get the two-way zipper to work as he also deals with movement problems due to Parkinson's symptoms. It would probably be fine for a normal, larger working man. He does fine with his very old Carhart jacket with single zipper closing.
After about 10 years of winter use my coat is still in good shape. The edges of the cuffs are getting worn with some strings handing off due to the wear. Also, the zipper pull tab came off so I have a piece of wire threaded in to use for that purpose. My wife sent me to get another at the store because my present coat is a "little rough" for church wear. I almost bought the new coat but have some reservations due to the dark collar and the light weight zipper on the new coat. I plan to check with any other stores where I can see the coat (not on-line) and feel the material. I really like my old coat but may have to settle for something a bit less than perfect.
Awesome coat!
Sure the weight of this coat is a little heavier than down but it's tough to beat the durability and warmth. Out here in the Rockies, building outdoors on the coldest winter days I'm comfortably warm in this coat. I ice fish in this coat. Once out hunting elk, I even napped in it in the low teens. I only woke up because I had to hike back to camp. This coat will not improve your chances of shooting elk.<br /><br />Get this and a pair of Carhartt insulated bibs and you'll be able to deal with any winter situation.
This product has pockets in the right places
It is warm and very quality jacket. The only problem I have is that when is cold the cold air try to get in your face with the hood on.
Very warm coat.
It feels great and will be that much better after a few winters are put on it. I like it and Carhart products have served me well over the past 40 years. Thanks! Rob Boyle
Runs maybe a tad large but probably true to size, Very happy with my purchase and can´t wait to get it to work in the winter time here in Iceland. Highly recommend this, all Carhartt products are top notch and this is no exception!
This jacket is so warm, so comfortable with extra material in the elbows and shoulders, so rugged and durable and very weather resistant/water repellent. I wore it in a Noreater Blizzard that lasted for 2 days. The shoveling in it was amazing. Love this jacket and looks bad-ass too.
Excellent winter coat for working, walking, or sleeping outside of Table 44.
This is my third one of these over the years. Durable, warm and comfortable once it's broken in. Very stiff until it's been washed/dried a bunch of times.
I hadn't considered this coat prior to seeing it in person.
Love this coat, but very disappointed that they are being made in Mexico now. You CAN tell a difference in the quality. When you start putting your "MADE IN THE USA" label on your coats again, I'll be back. Until then, I'll find something else that IS made here.
My old coat was a 40 Regular. Style C03. I'd worn it for years and it was time for a replacement. My wife ordered a new one for Christmas but the sizing has changed. It's now S-M-L etc. instead of 38-40-42 etc. She ordered a large. It was very, very over sized. We went to a Carhartt store in Greenwood, IN so I could try on several and learn what size to now order. I ended up choosing a Sierra Jacket, style J141. I tried on a medium, J141, and couldn't come close to getting it around me. Ended up with a large that is a perfect fit. The difference in "large" for the C003 and J141 was absolutely huge.
The fit on both coats and hat we right on. And they loved them. Perfect fit.
Good coats! This is my second one in 15 years.
I have had this jacket for 4 years, and it is just like new still. Perfect fit and perfect for the cold weather.
Very warm an durable
Absolutely I recommend this product to anyone that likes carhartt the only I wish is if the pockets having some little extra protection like a liner specific during in very cold and wind conditions you can keep yours hands warm.
I loved this jacket. It is the Best thing I ever bought for winter. It keeps you toasty warm. <br />I treated it before I bought it, so not sure if it's waterproof. I wish I could give it 10 stars! <br />I even bought one for my Dad for the winter.<br />He would give it the same review. He uses it to snow blowing. We live in the Buffalo area, so you know how cold and snowy it gets here!
Runs a little big ,but impressed with the quality, durability just all around good coat. Work overseas as a contractor and it got to me very quick, having a Apo address. Thanks
Excellent product, you won't be disappointed. I've purchased probably 10 jackets over the years by choice, not because I had to. I tend to get the dirty jobs, so I wash my jackets and overalls alot. The only thing that I had to do to them other than wash
Rough, Rugged, ,yet still stylish, warm , and COOL
Had one of these coats for 10 years and it fit great, ordered a new one size XL tall with me being 6'4'' 230lbs. The new coat had plenty of room in the chest and stomach area but the sleeves were short, like if I reached for something the cuff was about midway up my forearm. I wish that the tall actually meant longer sleeves. Other than that its a great coat.
This coat is labeled as arctic. In my opinion it isn't even close to standing up to arctic conditions. It is not anywhere close to being warm enough for an average MN/ND winter day, much less a cold winter day in the northern climate. However, it does stand up to some of the "abuse" I give it working around the heavy equipment/trucks. If I spill diesel on it I just simply put it in the washer and let it dry overnight and it is good to go the next morning. Same is also true if I get road salt on it. If I layer it with my lighter carhart under it, then it is better, but still should be MUCH heavier/warmer than it is.
I have owned 20 of these coats over the last 2 years. My current coat has over 10 years of use and the wife says it needs to go (I guess stains and fading isn't cool). I was shopping here for a new one and I notice that it is no longer USA made. It is a shame as this coat is what I consider your flagship product. If you start producing this coat in the USA again in the further, I will buy it. Until then, I will just have to find a replacement product.<br />Because it is not USA made, I can not recommend it to a friend.
I can no longer buy these coats due to the way they are sized. If I purchase a large the sleeves are to long.<br />If I purchase a medium I cant get it zipped.<br />Looks like I will no longer be able to own one of these coats.
After 2 seasons the zipper failed. Lightly worn to have that happen already.
I found this coat when travelling through the Appalachians. Tough, thick, warm, a great cut and at a super-reasonable price, it's easily the best coat of its type I've owned.
Was given this as a gift for work in the winter time. It is the warmest coat I have ever worn. Just a long sleeve underneath is all k needed. I highly recommend it!
When you pull up the zipper all the way, it gets stuck on the wind flap on the inside. This coat would be nice, if i could un zip it.
This coat was handed down to me from my dad and it's still going strong. This coat is very durable and will last a very long time. Buy this coat and you won't be dissapointed.
The best I have ever purchased and now buy nothing but Carhartt. We buy new coats every other year and either donate the old ones or use them for working around the house during the winter months. They're a great product and buy!
I've always loved my Carhartt jackets and this one is no exception there the only ones that seem to last me not to mention there the most comfortable and warmest ive ever bought. The only complaint I have about it is the double zipper I really wish it was like all the previous ones that just had a single zipper. Another thing I really liked is that this one is now made in the USA I know to most it really doesn't matter but I really like knowing my money is going back to people in this country really gives a better sense of ownership when you buy a product made here
I would wear nothing but carhartt I work in the oilfield and it's the best for warmth and durability<br />Thank you
I have owned 2 C003 coats. My first was handed down from my father. I am a carpenter, as well as a fisherman, and both of my coats have lasted 7 years plus each. It's getting to be time to buy a new one, and I have a couple concerns. I don't care for the newer style double zipper. I find it doesn't work as well as the old style regular zipper that I have on my current coat. Also, I wish you would bring back the old school sizing. I need a 44 regular. I found the fit to be so much better when you could order by numbered sizing instead of just large, x-large, etc. As far as I am concerned, This is the best coat on the market. The comfort and durability are second to none, along with the value. Thanks for continuing to put out a quality product!
I used to go through cheap big box retailer coats every year. I could never bring myself to spend this kind of money because I punish my coats. I use to think guys were crazy spending over $100 on a coat every year. (Or so I thought.) Mine was smelly and ripped to shreds come springtime. I don't consider them fashion, but a tool that allows me to do my job. Well, I can honestly say after receiving one as a gift, I'm a believer. I'm going on my 4th year, and it's still basically brand new. I'm here now ordering a black one. (For no other reason besides I want one.) I'll probably get 10 years out of this thing. Which makes it much cheaper than buying a $50 coat every year.<br /><br />I'm here to tell you, don't question it, don't even think about it. Just buy this coat. You won't be sorry. I promise you. Thank you Carhartt for not cutting corners and making one @#$% of a product. You keep making them like these, and I'll never buy another brand.
Purchased this coat for those days when temps reach 0 or below, when windchill factors can make it feel -20. Hands down this is the warmest work coat I think a person could need or want. You may even find yourself shedding a layer under neath. The only reason I give it a 4 in comfort is because it is stiff when you first get it. It'll take some time to break this one in but well worth it. It'll out last anything out there. Best coat for work or casual wear during bone chilling days or nights. Carhartt.... best by test, by far, bar none!
We have this jacket embroidered and use it as an award. It works great!
i don't work outside or live in a very cold state. but when it does get cold in southern california (cold for me, at least), i was annoyed that i didn't own a good jacket. this jacket is rugged and warm. it's a little long, but i love it. looks cool too. fyi, i think it runs a little big. if you're in between chest sizes, i'd get the smaller fit. there's plenty of space.
Excellence is the only way I can describe this product.
This is a really great coat for work and play. Have had this for many years and it is still holding up well. Well worth the buy!
for a stylish jacket to go to town in its perfect.<br />I would recommend this jacket to anyone who would use this for work or pleasure.<br />The only problem i have with this is Double Zipper. It is not easy to get zipped up fast, maybe its just my jacket but Its not easy.<br />Also it does not include a hood, for which it costs an extra 20 bucks.<br /><br />Only issue zipper isnt easy, but is metal and strong.<br /><br />Thanks
This is the last coat I'll ever buy. I need to order another one for if and when the one I have now wears out. BUT I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. The one I have now is six years old and still has lots of life left in it. Get the Black one, it's sweet.
I bought my first Carhartt jacket 11 years ago. I used it every day in the fall / winter for daily use as well as when I needed to roll under a car to fix something in the snow. The jackets is so warm the wife would borrow it some days. The jacket is still very useful and comforable, just a little to weathered to wear to work every day, which is why I've bought a new one and a set of bibbs.
Carhartt's has been keeping my Man dressed in jacket's, pants, bib overalls, etc... for years! They are so durable, so comfortable, and he is protected from the elements. And best of all... THEY LOOK SO GREAT ON HIM!!! :) YAY!!!<br /><br />He has his work Carhartt's and his leisure Carhartt's. That's the great thing about Carhartt's... They are great for anytime, anywhere!!!!<br /><br />Thank you Carhartt!
I used to have one of these but left it in europe. I missed it so much I got a new one recently and I forgot how great it is. It has great inside pockets, a good look, great fit.... everything makes me just want to wear this jacket exclusively from now on. I don't think I need to shop for jackets from anyone else because this is all I need. They are the best.
Finding a jacket to fit my husband is NOT easy! He is 6 foot 6 inches and 400 lbs but Carhartt had us covered. If I could change just one thing about the jacket it would be to make it a little longer, other than that, this jacket is perfect!!
I am very happy with my Duck Traditional Coat (Arctic Quilt-Lined). The quality of the stitching for the seams and zipper was somewhat less than I was expecting... but overall the coat is great. It very warm, very comfortable, looks good, and feels that it will hold up over time quite well.
This is great, very warm coat! I got one last year and it kept me warm last winter.
I got this coat after season but all I want to say is this coat is great it looks and feels good. I have C26 MOS and this has the same inside but the duck outside and the duck is much stiffer but this coat will hold up better. I wore it on one day when it was cold and this jacket kept me worm also got the hood and this jacket I got in blue they don;t make the blue anymore so I think its kind of cool to have it in that color.
I have this coat in blue which they do not make anymore. I have a C26 as well and this coat I use when its snowing or the temp is really cold. I use it at college and everything else its a really nice jacket. I dont wear this coat to work cause its nice and I can wear it causly but I do wear it to plow and snowblow only thing is the duck when it gets wet you do get cold if you wearing just a sweatshirt and a undershirt or a thermal. Get the extremes c55 or the j133 which I have if you are gonna also use it in foul weather I use the j133 for wet and snowy weather see that review.
Don't care for the double zipper. Liked it better when there was only one.
I'm currently on my second one and The coat holds up to a lot of abuse. Will most definitely buy another when this one wears out...
This is one of the Carhartt products I own.<br /><br />I was looking for something to wear while I was out clearing snow in zero degree temps and when I layer up and wear a Carhartt vest under it, this coat has kept me warm in the coldest conditions in Northern Michigan(along with the Carhartt cap with the fold-down ear protection).<br /><br />I like the "knit" at the wrists that keeps the wind out and the internal draw cord up at waist level. I've had coats with a draw cord at the bottom of the coat and it has been eaten by machines.<br /><br />One irritation that I have with this coat is with the velcro which is outside the zipper. Things get stuck in velcro!! I wish I had a solution to remove the velcro and put something in its place. A solid brass button or snap from the beginning would be much better even if it costs me a few dollars more. That's the only reason that I haven't given 5 stars across the board.<br /><br />Also, at least one interior pocket should be tall enough for a case with glasses.<br /><br />I also think it would be helpful for Carhartt to come out with a relative warmth guide - indicating how their various fills compare with each other for warmth (and if they wanted to go a step further to possibly even to indicate that most people would find this product comfortable at X degree range). The Arctic lining was self evident as their warmest fill, but all their other fills are not.
I live in wisconsin and spend most of the day light hours outside. Even during the dead of winter when this coat keeps me warm. I am talking a week when it dosnt get over -10 and wind chills 40 below, this coat had done more than i could have expected and even after 5 years it is in one piece. Great coat wont ever buy a non carhartt coat again.
I love the jacket. It is warm, comfortable, durable, and made with high quality materials. I recommend this for everybody.
I am origionally from central Maine, I grew up on a farm where i wore my Arctic lined Carhartt about everyday from October to April. My parents bought it for me as a gift and a work coat at 15 years old. I have worn this coat in 20 degree below zero (ferinheight) and it held up as the warmest pieces of outerwear I have worn. I still have the same coat 7 years later it is still in one piece and is now embroidered with my parents farm name. I reccomend this coat to anyone looking for a warm and durable coat.
I am a business owner in the service industry. I have found ALL Carhartt products to be of high quality! Not only do I wear pants, shirts, jackets, and coveralls but all of my employees do as well. The high quality of Carhart products has decreased uniform costs drastically! I am able to go three times longer with Carhartt products than any other clothing for a service business. Keep the quality their and we will be customers for life!!<br />CMM<br />President
I have purchased 4 of these jackets for men in my life who either work in construction or are out doors. The last one was for my son-in-law because he works in construction. My daughter ended up wanting one, so I bought one for her. The Artic Quilted lining is very effective in fighting the cold.<br /><br />My son-in-law specifically asked for this jacket as all his co-workers recommended this jacket. We live in Ohio and it gets cold. He has thanked us a thousand times over for keeping him warm throughout the winter. There isn't a family member male or female who doesn't own one.<br /><br />Carthartt products will be in our family forever.<br /><br />We even bought the two grandsons one and a pair of bib overhauls. They wear them all the time.
I've had this coat for a very long time (it was a Christmas gift). It is extremely durable and keeps you warm in the coldest of weather.
I do not work outside for a living but wanted a jacket to handle tough jobs outdoors. Burned a hole in another jacket with leaf blower and purchased one of these to replace it. Great choice as it is great to use shoveling, chain sawing a tree or leaf blowing.
My boyfriend had bought one of these for his Dad and had used his dad's on a trip we went on and realized he really wanted one of these. We were in some cold weather and this was the perfect jacket. Simple, yet extremely warm and just up his alley. So I bought him this for Christmas and he just loves it.
My wife bought me this coat. At first it was stiff and when riding in a car it rode up on my back to a point where I had to lift myself off the seat and pull it down. I have used this coat for about 3 years. Very comfortable and extremely warm. Even when it gets -20 I am warm. It is made durable and appears that it will last for many more years to come.
I recieved a jacket from my father that is ten years old. He has used this jacket on the farm and thought I might like to have it. I have never used a carhartt before. I thought it was kind of a thin jacket to start with. this morning I went out to do some snow plowing and i have never been so warm in my life. All I had on was a long john shirt and the jacket. I got so hot that I ended up having to roll down my window to stay cooler. I might just get another ten years out of it. Thanks carhartt
Bought this jacket and matching bibs for my husband for Hanukkah and was pleasantly surprised with the fit and appearance of the jacket. Would definitely recommend the jacket to someone!!
Bought this coat for my 21 year old son and he says that its warm as heck and just the right length. He's been a Carhartt fan for 8 years, and never been disappointed. Thanks Carhartt.
While I lived in Chicago, I would be this style of coat every 5 years. It kept me warm standing on el platforms and at bus stops. This coat is the best price-to-performance ratio you can get, meaning it's just as warm (or warmer) than the ski coats many people spend several hundred dollars on.
I have the carhartt active w/sherpa linning and the active w/ thermal linning. that I love, BUT I just got the Traditional w/ arctic linning. WOW does this keep the cold out! I walk dogs all day and even two days ago the wind chill was 20 below and this coat keep my soooo warm even when the wind kicked up! I had to write a reveiw because I am so happy with my purchase. Carhartt`s are well worth the money too because they last forever. Thanks Carhartt! Please keep making a high quality product and don`t compromise your integrity like other clothing makers have.
I was at home in Buffalo, NY, visiting some family, when i had looked at other "duck" work wear. and i remembered that my father, an ironworker/welder in the union had always worn and owned carhartt products. i went to the local work wear store where they are a carhartt only retailer, and tried on some jackets, and some bibs. loved them for every reason, would you know, before i left there to go home a few days later, my mother bought all that she thought i would need to stay very warm for every winter... love ya MOM you are the best!!!!
These coats are the best coats ever. They have everything i am looking for in a coat. I wear these coats for good and for working. They are simply the best. They last a long long time and still look nice.
I have had 2 coats in 10 years, now on my 3rd, best jacket ever, for hard nothern maine winters you can't beat a carhartt with the artic lining, i have not found a maine wind that will bit through this coat. Warm Dry and it lasts.<br />Thanks for making a great product keep it up.
I bought a C03 style coat after 'making do' with lesser products for too long. I first wore the coat outside on a cold and windy day and wondered why I hadn't gotten one before. That Carhartt coat offered such great protection from wind and cold that I have since bought other products.
This jacket is absolutely worth the price. If you're on the fence about buying it online because you haven't gotten your hands on it, let me assure you that it is of quality construction and very warm. You will not be disappointed.
i bought the arctic for my boyfriend last christmas...so we're walking through the city with two and a half feet of snow and of course he's gorgeous in it but he's also too hot!...right!...so didn't believe it!...then he takes the jacket off and with only his band tee underneath he's sweating!...<br /><br />i hadn't thought of carhartt as something i'd wear in the city but the artic coat in black looks posh paired with anything!...i love!...i mean bible! i could pair a fitted women's carhartt with my dark wash skinny jeans and platform pumps!
I wear it all winter long. I don't put another jacket on.
Rugged, warm and comfortable. I am absolutely satisfied with this product. Two things I like most --- 1: the super-strong zipper, and 2: the fact that I've washed this coat at least 50 times, and it's as intact as it was the day I bought it.
I purchased this coat in the black color to take advantage of the solar gain. It is one of the warmest coats i have ever owned. I can be out in the northern Illinois winters for up to 16 hours at a time and i am still plenty warm. I would reccomend this coat to everybody.
My husband Daniel has owned his Duck Traditional since before we were married,
I had heard about Carhartt for a long time. My husband works outdoors often in the winter. I wanted him to have the best protection and I picked the right jacket. My husband loves his Carhartt. We never call it his jacket, it's the Carhartt! I feel like I've done something really special for him and it's all thanks to your products.
I was looking for a gift for my boyfriend and this turned out to be a great choice! The size information was quite accurate--and a great fit.
You can't beat Carhartt when it comes to heavy duty, long lasting outerwear. I bought this coat in FRC to meet my company's high standards for safety when working in potentially hazardous environments. The feel, fit, and finish are all top notch. You would never guess that such a comfortable and great looking coat could be FRC.
I think that this is a great overall coat. It's very warm even in windy conditions, but I would consider getting a hood with it. It was a little stiff at first, but has really broken in nicely. Another quality product.
Bought this for the cold winters. Well insulated, without the bulk. A breathable coat, especially on milder days. Looks good as well.
As someone who works in constructing, everyone knows that carhartt sells the most durable gear. This is the second jacket I have bought from carhartt but that doesnt mean its not durable. If you know what this jacket goes through its amazing how it only been my second one. I dump this jacket in the wash all the time, and even though the color fades it still as rugged as ever.
This is a great coat. My only concern is that with the multiple washings that we have to do because of the work performed in this jacket, it seems to get a little smaller (shrinks a little) with each washing.
I love wearing this jacket it keeps me warm and dry, although it did not come with a hood, which is a little disappointing but over it is a great jacket. The washing machine did a number on the color of it but it is still good looking and i wear it every day rain or snow!!!
Got this coat a couple weeks back and that was just in time. The temps went down to the mid 20s below zero with wind chills in the 40s below here in Twin Cities area. Wore this out in the wind and snow and it kept me toasty warm and dry. Great price for the quality and a sharp look too. I expect to wear this coat for many, many years to come. In a word, you can't go wrong with this one.
I am the father of two sons now 19 and 16 years old. My Arctic-Quilt coat was taken over by my oldest son. I had to buy myself another one. Luckily my second son could not take over my coat because he is 5-inches taller then me. I did buy him one for Christmas this year since it is all he asked for. This coat is rugged, comfortable and keeps us warm during all our outdoor activities. It is perfect for wearing Ice fishing in Minnesota.
This coat is warm and comfortable - a very good choice for working outside in the Winter.
I purchased this for my husband for Christmas, and he tells me he has never been so comfortable working outdoors. It washes well, looks great and now I don't worry about him on those really cold days.
I try to not follow the crowd but Carhartt makes it hard. This coat is absolutely the best one I've ever owned. I bought it as a work coat but after wearing it, that changed.
With my profession in the construction indusrty this product of carhartts make working in the coldest conditions manageable, feels like the jacket isnt there with the range of motion you still get. I only buy carhartt outerwear when it comes to protecting myself against all types of elements.
This is an excellent coat for very cold weather. The combination of the Duck exterior with the Arctic Quilt lining creates a product that is virtually impenetrable by the wind. The fit of the coat is exactly what I had hoped for, as well. I am very pleased that my wife gave me this for Christmas, and I now know what I am going to get my boys next year!
I purchased this coat to replace one that my boyfriend has had for years. The color of the other one had faded, he broke the zipper a while ago, and in his last hunting trip (before this one got ordered) he got blood ALL over it.<br />It has to be very cold for him to wear a jacket, but when he wants one this is the only thing he reaches for. It fits great, is comfortable, and the pockets are so convenient.<br />The jacket was out of stock in Tallahassee, but I had a great experience shopping online here, even when I had to change my order for another size. Thanks for the great coat Carhartt!
I bought these jackets for a few employees that work for me and have to go outside to receive materials in the Chicago winter weather. These jackets keep them warm and are flexible enough for them to do their job effectively.
Received as a Christmas present and have worn on the job for a few weeks. Coat does superb job of keeping body warm while work in the elements. I can tell even after this short time that the durability of this coat will be excellent.
Purchased this for a christmas gift. It's a great coat, thats worth the money. Warm, comfortable, durable, great coat.
This coat is very heavy duty. It is warm and comfortable!
I have had this coat for a few weeks and have already washed it several times. Extremely warm and well made. This is my first Crahartt purchase and I will be heading back to the store for the matching overalls as soon as possible. Keep up the good work Carhartt!
I've worn Carhartt for years and have always been happy to say their worth every penny. All the Artic line apparral have features to keep the cold out and the heat in even the coldest weather, like the velcro closures over the zippers etc. You can't go wrong with all the Artic line if you want to stay warm and durablity is required for the extremes on the job!
I love this coat! It is very warm, gets even better with every wash. It is the best purchase I have ever made! I have recommended this coat to my brother and brother in laws and they have all purchased one and all love it as much as I do....Thanks Carhartt!
This Coat is the real deal, period! The warmth and durability is unmatched anywhere! It's been years and years since I owned a Carhartt product and really had forgotten all about them and they're much better than I remember. This coat weighs over seven pounds! I'm 6'3", 310 lbs. and finding quality outerwear isn't easy. I've found other coats, jackets, etc. but they were nothing like this. Since Carhartt offers a huge selection of quality clothing for us big guys, I'll be buying a lot more Carhartt from now on. Thanks Carhartt!
I wore this coat every winter while stationed in Fairbanks, AK. However, it is really hard to keep , because people will steal this coat if you leave it unattended! So don't leave it lying around like I did. Kept me warm even when the HAWK was blowing really fierce. Very durable in the coldest of Alaskan winters. Always kept a spare in my car, thank goodness!
I wanted a durable work coat and I have that with this coat. It wears well and it sure is warm on cold and windy days.
this coat is very durable. It gets more comfortable with age. I liked the deep pockets so when I go riding my atv I don't have to worry about losing things out of them
I bought this coat for ice fishin. I used to sit out on a bucket and freeze, but this really keeps me warm. The fit doesn't bind me up for fishin and I tend not to layer as much as I used to because this coat is warm.

<br />This is the best, most rugged parka I know of, and the price can't be beat.<br />I do wish they'd put the fake fur back on the hood though. lol.
