Absolute JUNK! I'm retired. I wear these jeans because no one wants to see a neckid old man, not to work in. I bought 4 pair of these stupid tapered leg jeans that don't fit over a boot. After 2 wearings, the right rear pocket started to tear out, just like all the other 1 star reviews posted over the past 5 years. When I ordered, I thought Carhartt have fixed this by now. Nope. The CSR I spoke with said this is "the first time we have heard of this problem." Yeah right. I only wore 2 pairs, but returned all 4 for a refund. Between the skinny styling, that lousy quality, and the ridiculous stretchy denim of some other Carhartt jeans I have (which still turn my skin and the beige leather in my BMWs blue after 2 years) I'm through with Carhartt. There are too many other reliable brands out there to purchase from. Buh Bye Carhart!!!
I like these jeans, even though over the years the material has become thinner and thinner. And use caution pulling your pants up with the belt loops, they tear off easy. The fit is really good and that is why I continue to buy them. But now they are discontinuing this style/cut. Not sure what I am going to buy now.

Jeans were not stonewashed
Service was great and I finally was able to get the jeans that I have worn for years. I have always been able to get them locally but your production must be terrible because they haven’t been able to restock so that customers like me can buy locally. Great fit as always but I will not continue to buy them if you don’t correct your supply services to stores. I’ve been a customer for over 20 years.

My husband takes a 29” length so if you need that length I would suggest the 28” bc he tried on the 30” and they were way too long. He bought 2 pair and he likes their sturdiness.

Too small. I wear a 32” waist in virtually all of my pants. I ordered a 34” waist as a measure of caution thinking that loose and large is ok for work pants but the 34’s did not fit. Too small

I’ve been wearing these jeans for over ten years and I’m very satisfied with the heavy duty quality and they are very comfortable. Please continue to make them the same way! On the other hand, I wish Carhartt would bring back the original fit 100 percent cotton heavy duty k87 pocket t-shirts (graphic). The new ones are to stretchy. Plus dog hair doesn’t cling as much to the 100 percent cotton t-shirts.

Jeans fit very nicely and look good on me . However the button hole on all three pair jeans I bought were to small . as a senior I had difficulty getting buttoned and unbuttoned . I paid to have the holes enlarged some to make easier to button . even the girl that did the work for me had difficulty trying to button and unbutton

Just when I find something I like it gets discontinued. I found out that the color is being discontinued. I noticed most of the other jeans are not 100% cotton.why? Cotton is warm in winter and cool in the summer.

I used to buy Levi's 550, but the waist started fitting lower. These are a good fit for my waist since I usually don't wear a belt with jeans.
Bought these jeans for my husband who is a cancer patient and has lost so much weight. What I love about the selection of sizes is I can also select length. He is 6’1 but needs a size 28-29 waist, and a 34 inch length. There are many styles of jeans from this company that accommodate both waist and length. The quality of the jeans is excellent. They wash well, and there is no shrinkage if washed in cold water and air dried. He has been wearing them for about 2 months with weekly washing. No shrinkage! No fading! Easy for him to put on and take off! I will be purchasing more! Thank you.

Great fit and function, good color, very durable, if you walk a lot / wear them daily they tend to wear out along the crotch seam first versus typical wear areas such as knees and front of thighs.

To say these pants run small would be an understatement. I've purchased similar style Carhart pants, same waist and length and they always fit. This style however runs soooo small I can't even wear them. Unfortunately, I purchased 5 pair and put them straight in the wash as I've purchased Carhart for years, again same waist and length, and didn't bother to try them on because they always fit. They're now off to donation as I'd have to go down 2 sizes in order for these to fit. And no I haven't gained any weight, so it's the pants. If you do buy them get 2 waist inches larger or you'll be in the same boat as me. Regretful purchase.
Size for waist is not accurate. One run through washer and now barely can button.

Overall good quality, Sizes seem to run slightly large.
Jeans made the way jeans should be made. Sturdy, heavy-weight denim with 3 belt loops across the back instead of the 1 in the center like other brands. The bottom line, I have 5 pair now and love them.
Always love the way these jeans fit, I am able to get them in 29 inch inseam too. I am retired but still farm and they last me a long time.

Only one thing I would critisize is the waist button hole is way too small and you better not have to go in a hurry, because you could have a problem. Pretty minor compared to all the good points. I'll probably be back. Relaxed Fit-Tapered is exactly what I need!

I love that these come in my size ( 28 inseam ), and they are very comfortable. The issue I'm having is that they keep ripping at the back pocket. I wish they came in a non-distressed version so they would last longer. 3 pairs with the exact same tear.

B17 jeans starting to develop holes near the top corners of the back pockets. All 3 pairs I have are starting to do this. One pair tore open yesterday where the hole near the pocket had started. Upon reading other reviews, this appears to be a common problem with these Carhartt jeans. I expected better quality from Carhartt. Rather disappointed.<br />Will try a pair of their Rugged Flex jeans to see if the build quality is better.

I normally wear a 34”’waist pant, but both the 34 and 35” waist were very tight at the waistline. Had to reorder a 36” waist. Surprised that Relaxed Fit would be soz tight in the waist. I’m 6’4” and 205 lb.

I believe I've been wearing the B17 jeans for close to 20 years. They're a good weight and good quality. Size is always consistent. No longer bother trying them on in store because I know they'll be a perfect fit.
I wanted the loose fit utility jeans, but you haven’t had them in my size for over a year!! Can’t blame the supply chain for American made products. I’m ready to buy five pair as soon as you make more, but for now, have to settle.
For years I have looked for jeans that were cut like regular pants, above the waist. But they don't seem to exist. And to make it worse now they put elastic in jeans and pants so they always feel like they are falling down. <br />Finally, after years of search, I found Carhart Jeans.<br />Very high quality. Fits like pants. This is all I will wear from here on out. <br />All of my other jeans are going to be donated.

Disappointed in this purchase. I have been buying the B17 style for years in the stonewash color. The fabric used in making the jeans sent in this order was not the same quality as in previous jeans. This fabric was much thinner, and there is no way it would hold up for any length of time. The length in the rise seems shorter than in previous jeans. Returning these jeans. Carhartt, please go back to the heavier weight denim!

Way too "relaxed" fit. The product was well made with nice quality cloth; however, the "relaxation" of the fit was far too generous in the thighs. I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs. and got a 33' waist
These heavyweight jeans designed for comfort model are one of the few that you can find on the market with More room to move with a comfortable fit through the seat and thigh and a tapered leg, but unfortunately I think Carhartt has already discontinued them, it is a too bad because you could find sizes like the last two that I bought 33 x 28. CARHARTT PLEASE SHOULD CONSIDER PUT THEM ON SALE AGAIN AND MORE COLORS LIKE BLACK AMD OLIVE "WOULD BE EXCELLENT" THANKS

They were longer by 2” than needed so had them hemmed. They are a little baggier in the seat than I like but overall ok.

Got them fairly promptly. But I have noticed they are not as strong and do not last as long as they used to. Specifically at rear pocket attachments, along the top of pockets, and particularly they shred in the crotch.<br />I am particularly POed about the fact that they are made in Mexico. Will be looking to buy a different brand mad in the USA in the future.

Ideal! Make no changes to these pants. Great thickness/durability of the jeans fabric--really old school quality. These are probably my 10th or 12th pair over the last 20 years. Wear them for field work (in the engineering profession), casual stuff and Fridays in the office. After a couple of years, I rotate them to home chores and yard work duty (by then a few small holes), but even the holes hold fast--and these jeans still last, and last. I'd probably still have my first pairs, if my waist hadn't grown--from 34 to 35 to 36.

I rated the dungarees 5 star even though I meant to order the regular fit tapered leg. You folks made the return/exchange process extremely simple and quick. It has been awhile since I purchased any but Carhartt has the absolute best dungarees anywhere. Levi's don't even come close and they have for years been considered the benchmark in jeans. The main factors for me is the superior 15oz weight and seven belt loops as opposed to 5 like other lesser quality denim. I'm definitely a forever customer.

Best fitting jeans I have ever worn. I am 6'3 300 lbs. The relaxed fit is essential to thigh comfort. I have had these in the past and will continue to order them as they wear out. In that order, they are tough and strong but I am very active and rough on my work clothes and wash them very frequently. In that regard, they could be a little tougher. I recommend. A

Model B17 best over all jean ever worn. Even with boots or without. Problem is finding this model in the Tulsa area-was prevalent at Drysdale Western Wear ubtil they were bought by Boot Barn...they now only carry work type jeans or pants.

I have worn Carhartt jeans and the flex tan pants for a few years and have been happy until the purchase of my last two pair of the B17 jeans. within 2 months there was holes next too the back pocket corners and then I noticed that the material rip's very easy and they have only lasted approximately 6 months and I do not wear jeans very often as jeans are not allowed at work. I thought that I was the only one with this issue but I have noticed other people with Carhartt jeans are having the same issue. Unfortunately I can not recommend Carhartt jeans.
The jeans meet my needs. The last pair are 1/2 inch longer than my previous jeans but with boots it doesn’t matter.
My husband was happy with them. He has worn other brands over the years but finding it hard to get 36" length in many of the brands now. These came in the length he needed, they were a heavy weight denim and fit well. The give him room in the legs to move when he is working, but are nice enough for casual wear. The only thing he would change about them is he would have liked the to be a straight leg instead of tapered leg. They are a little narrow around the ankle. Color was fine but would like them in a darker shade as well.

For over 10 years these b17s have been my favorite jeans to wear when working on my ranch or at work. So I wore them daily. The first pair I bought 15 years ago was and is still amazingly going strong. I still wear them. This pair sold me on carhartt products. So I bought carhartt jackets, vests, shirts, hats , etc. and was almost as happy as I was with the pants. But that’s another review. then I bought another pair of jeans and I immediately noticed a difference when I got them. Fit was different, but I didn’t pay much attention to that. Then in 3 months the top of the back pockets developed tiny holes and got bigger. I thought it was a fluke so order a pair in April 2021 and the same thing happened. I’m not buying another pair. I don’t buy for brand, I buy quality and carhartt quality has degraded. I’d recommend these only for someone who wears jeans once in a while and doesn’t work in them. But not sure they would work for that either. Im now trying different brands until carhartt brings back that quality. I noticed that I’m not the only one that has this issue. Hopefully it will get fixed as I did appreciate carhartt back when they focused on that quality ; they were my choice of tools for my body. The worst part is that my wife loved how they made my butt looked! Thank you

I have been wearing B17 DST jeans for many, many, many years. The last 4 or so pairs I have bought have developed holes where the upper inside corners of the rear pockets are stitched on, in just a few months. From all the similar complaints here and on Amazon, this is obviously a quality issue that Carhartt needs to address. Mine were purchased through Amazon. A review there said it’s the ones made in Nicaragua that appear to be the problem and the ones from Mexico may be okay. I am hesitant to buy more but these have been my go-to jeans for so long. I would appreciate an acknowledgment of this problem from Carhartt and some jeans that won’t wear out in 3 months.

I like them, they fit good and are comfortable.<br /><br />BUT, where the back pockets are stitched at the top corners, they are getting holes after not having them very long. They don't fit tight on me and I don't snag the pockets on things when I wear them. <br /><br />I can't see paying this much for jeans that are going to end up with 2-4 holes in the butt of them.<br /><br />I have seen a lot of reviews that have this problem. It needs to be addressed by Carhartt.
I bought the same size as previous years, fit was terrible. Waist was about an inch smaller , upper thigh was tight then the pants flared out to normal. It looked like I had rodeo chaps on. Comparing new jeans with an old pair showed that the waist and hips were smaller on the new pair. Why the change? Is the inch smaller wherever these pants were made? We should be able to count on the measurements for the exact same style of jeans year after year. Stop trying to save material to lower costs, just give us the jeans we have grown accustomed too.

I normally wear a 32 at the waist. These jeans were 32 and they’re a little tighter than others.

It is very hard to find 28" inseams so I rely to my Carhartt brand. Wish they offer this inseam on straight leg pant. Relax fit is a little baggy for me.

I ordered these jeans to replace a pair that I bought about a year ago. I did like them, but, both of the rear pockets ripped out near the top corner. My size is hard to find, so I wanted to give it a second chance. I hope these do better.

Most other jeans are poorly made with cheap denim. If you want a rugged pair of jeans that fit well and will last, then these are for you. High quality!

I have worn Carhartt B-17DST jeans for years, and I also am disappointed that the fabric fails where the rear pockets are gusseted long before the rest of the pants are worn out. They are not lasting near as long as they used to.
My husband loves the fit. Unfortunately the machine stitching around the back pockets seems to cut the corners of the fabric and it wears through to holes very quickly. The air I just replaced slit in the from. It was obviously faulty fabric quality. We will still order these because of the fit. I am hoping the company will solve some of these issues.

I have been purchasing Carhartt B17-DST relaxed fit jeans for years. The last few years every pair that I have purchased rips around the back pockets I think the material is a lot thinner than it used to be, at $36 a pair I am done purchasing Carhart jeans. I have almost brand new pairs that are ripped, this is ridiculous and a waste of money.
Have worn these jeans for years. Have had to go up in waist size. No fault of the jeans. There are no better jeans. Period.

The reason I buy Carhartt is because I get quality at a very reasonable price. However, I’m disappointed that the B11s don’t have tapped style.
First time buying Carhartt jeans. The material is good but the fit isn’t. I have always wore 36” waist jeans in all other brands I’ve ever had. These I cannot even button the fastener. They run a full size smaller than other brands. Went an purchased another brand in 36” waist and the fit perfectly. Ended up giving the Carhartt’s to a family member. Ordered online and wasn’t able to try on at a store because nearest Carhartt store never has much in stock.
Purchased 2 pair online as a gift - came in smaller but also the wrong "fit", went to a Carhartt store and had the sales clerk help with size - found what we needed in wrong color so we ordered online - just came in and they are totally different than the ones we tried on it the store - frustrated.

These are a great pair of sturdy jeans. I hope that they will loosen up a bit after some wearing and washing. Right now they are somewhat tight.
these jeans fit loosely giving the wearer some room to move freely without binding or pinching and the thickness helps them last longer than other jeans meaning that they wont wear out as fast as others. The only flaw I found was there was a snag on the thigh of 1 pair of new jeans that one would not expect when getting new jeans.

I am disappointed in the fit. I ordered same waist and inseam as a different pair I ordered in the fall, and they are much tighter. I have no idea if the earlier pair runs large or this one runs small, but lack of consistency is problematic

Highly recommend the Carhartt B17 jean. Has the same cut as the Levi 560 that is no longer made. Dark Stone is rich in color and the length is great. Most of all the Carhartt<br />B17 cost way less than the Levi 560. I love the Carhartt B17.

After the first wash the waist shrunk so much I cannot button it. I would say order 2 sizes too large. I haven't had a pair of jeans do this in over 40 years.

I bought Carhartt jeans in style B18 a year or so ago, liked them, and decided to try this style B17. Both appear to be high quality products. (For my size and build, Levi's 550 "Relaxed Fix, Tapered Leg Jeans" have long offered me a good fit, but I wanted to explore the Carhartt brand.)<br /><br />I had a slight reservation in my rating because the B17 "Relaxed Fit Tapered Leg Jean" appeared to be somewhat more snug at the waist than the previously purchased B18 "Straight/Traditional-Fit Tapered-Leg Jean." From the description of the B17, I was expecting a looser fit than the B18, because the B17 advertises “extra room in the seat and thigh." (Although maybe I just need more room in the waist!)<br /><br />I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the fit of the two styles, but for me as a tall person, the "rise" or crotch seam measurements can make a big difference in the fit. By my measurements, the total of the front and back rise is the same for the B17 and the B18 (31.50"), but I noticed that the B17 distributes it as 13.50" front and 18.00" back, while the B18 distributes it as 13.25" front and 18.25" back.<br /><br />That said, from my experience to date I would recommend Carhartt jeans to other shoppers.
Great fit for my husky man. Carhartt is the only brand that holds up and doesn’t rip or wear out quickly. My husband is hard on his clothes and these jeans pit up with a lot!!
Good sturdy jeans with heavyweight fabric. Relaxed fit is very comfortable. All areas that wear are reinforced. Pockets are deep and allow easy access. No elastic fibers that wear out fast.
Width is great, length is great, material is great, only thing is both pair the zipper keeps coming down every 10 minutes. Have to constantly zipper back up. If not for the zipper would be 5 stars.

I like Carhartt jeans but the fabric at the inside upper corner of the back pockets doesn’t last. I have five pairs of carhartt jeans. One pair I’m throwing away because of the fabric failure. The second pair is starting to do the same thing. The other three pairs are newer and so far so good. I’ve been wearing Levies jeans since Hector was a pup and I’ve never had the the fabric that the pockets are sewn to fail before.. Good luck with your carhartts.

I have a true 29 inch inseam. I bought the 33/30 jeans because the 28 inch inseam would be like high waters. The 30 is longer than I need and the legs are bunched up at my ankles. I didn't rate the durability because I've only had the jeans for a few weeks.

Great feeling pants, I can’t complain about quality. But the sizing is something else. Don’t buy them online, go to a retailer and try them on first. I wear a 36X32 and had to get a 38x30 in these, and the length is still a little long.
Big waist, short legs. Carhartt is the only company I've found offering any jeans in a 28" inseam. Haven't had them long but so far so good.

These fit like jeans should for a man that works and needs the freedom of movement while working. They sit at a normal height on the waist and have plenty of room in crotch. These are nice looking jeans with a tapered appearance.
I stumbled on Carhartt jeans years ago looking for 35" waist, which not everybody has. (34" inseam I'm 6'5" 195) These are great jeans and I keep buying them. I might try something different if the website was clearer on, say, what the difference between "dungarees" and "jeans" is.

I purchased these jeans as replacements for my Levi 560s. There are two significant differences between these Carhartt jeans and the Levi 560s. First, the distance on the Carhartt jeans from the bottom of the zipper to where the jean legs meet is about an inch. Second, Carhartt jeans rise more in the front where they come closer to the belly button. My thought is I need to lose about five more pounds for these jeans to fit great. The Carhartt denim is not as durable as the Levi denim. I am hoping the Carhartt jeans hold up as long as the Levi jeans.
These are heavier than any other jeans I've owned. They're not overly heavy though. Just right. I've been a Levi's 501 fan forever but the crotch keeps ripping out now-a-days. (China?) Done with Levi's. Can't attest to durability since I won't be wearing them until summer. Great value. I wish they were button fly.

I bought two pair of these less than a year ago and they both ripped in the same exact spot. I live in a very warm climate and I only wear jeans maybe two months out of the year. I am Very unsatisfied with this product and disappointed the car hearts product falls apart so easily. I will not buy this product again
The fit is good. The part of the pant that covers the zipper is too small though. I have to keep pulling it back over the zipper on the black pair I ordered.
Perfect fit. It’s so hard for me to find 40-28 jeans. I’m always impressed with this Carhartt style. Build very rugged with extra stitches and buttons right in the places that other jeans tear.

They fit a little tighter than the 460’s I’ve been eating. Every pair I try is different in the waist. All Carhart jeans should be exactly the same in the waist. But depending on what country they come from dictates what waist you get.
They are too baggy through the legs.
I was looking for a relaxed fitting jean with a taper to skate in. These jeans fit the bill perfectly. The tapered legs (and smaller leg openings) are great because I hate stepping on the back of my pants. I will definitely buy more pairs in the future!

I have owned numerous pairs of b17 jeans .probably 20 or more and Love the way they fit but every single pair I’ve had has prematurely formed a hole and tore at the top of the rear pocket . So disappointed I’m ready to give another manufacture a try .

Purchased these in my normal size and when I tried them on the waist wasn't even close. Almost two sizes smaller. I thought maybe I was sent the wrong thing but both pair were tagged with the correct size.<br /><br />I'm hard on at work so I typically buy these or the equivalent Wrangler because I have to replace them so often. Had the same fit problem with the Wranglers and I noticed that both manufacturers have moved production from Mexico to Nicaragua. The jeans even look almost exactly the same save the label. Wouldn't surprise me if they came out of the same facility.<br /><br />The same models made in Mexico fit me fine, the ones made in Nicaragua do not. I think there's a problem with process, patterns, or something else. Too much of a coincidence.

Only tried it because you are not selling B18 traditional fit darkstone. Then when i looked to buy B18 stonewash, you were out of those. So i tried the relaxed fit and dislike them very much.
The back pocket rivets develop holes and the material frays-a lot. I actually had to put it on a sewing machine and fix the holes.

I always buy them at the store but tried ordering them and they came in way to small. Never had that problem before same size for years. Course I took the tags off and washed them so I can’t return them.

Been wearing Carhartt for 25 years very good product pair of jeans last five to six years.
I have had to throw out several pair of these jeans because they rip at the back pocket. When jeans that aren't very old ( 1-2 months) split in front of a customer its time to look for something else. This problem has been going on for a while now with these jeans but they have not fixed the issue. Even with a size that requires the use of a belt they still split. Long time Carhartt purchaser moving on.

The sizing runs to the small size. The waist is smaller than advertised. Other than that good quality. I have had several pairs of this same jean, and never had a problem with size until now. the pair I have (same size) still fit comfortably.

Getting hard to find all cotton jeans in heavier weights, these fit the bill. The sizing is good, and this style is roomy, so no worries about not having synthetic stretch material in it. Been looking for denim that is all or mostly cotton instead of the mostly spandex stuff that's out there. These are heavy enough to not wear out in a few years like other major brands. Also this pair had no chemical perfume added, so he can wear right away without having to wait for months for a weird smell to air out.

Because there is apparently an "acceptable" allowed variance of up to 2 full inches, the inseam length basically means exactly nothing! We sent them back, as they did not fit. The company may find their variance policy perfectly okay - but we sure don't! For us, this is wildly inconvenient, especially when shopping on line. This is the reason I'm only giving a "1" for quality - specifically because of the lack of sizing consistency, which we consider to be a lack of quality control issue.
It is so hard to find pants that fit my husband right but are still comfortable, but these were perfect for him. His job requires good range of motion as he moves around and lifts heavy objects for work. The quality is on point, durable and long lasting. I would absolutely recommend these for anyone!

We buy these for my husband's job. He's a maint. engineer and these hold up well. The problem with these are they shrunk a good bit when dried and I always dry them.

The fit is good, can move in them well, but rub them against a padded armrest on an office chair and the fabric tears where the back pockets are sown on.

Recieved two pair Relaxed fit Carhartt Jeans size-labeled 44W 32L. They were MUCH larger than comparable version from another brand (see pictures). Waist probably 46. Inseam correct but the body of the pants above the inseam added at least two inches "up". Suitable for work environments where suspenders are used. Not useful otherwise. A belt won't work.

I have worn Levi's 560, relaxed fit tapered leg jeans for many years and could find no suitable replacement when those were discontinued. I tried other Levi's styles as well as three other brands before finding the Carhartt B17's. These are the perfect replacement that sit perfectly at the waist and don't tighten up too much on my legs, especially when sitting or driving. These are my new go-to jeans.

And some are actually years old and they’re great.<br /> But the last four pairs I’ve bought the back pockets have ripped open at the top corners.<br /> There’s obviously something done differently in the sewing process compared to the older jeans. I see the new ones are made in Nicaragua in contrast to the older ones made in Mexico. Again I’m very disappointed that my month old jeans have holes in the back.<br /> The pocket is attached very well but the material right next to the upper inner corners of the pockets are ripped open exposing my underwear. NOT GOOD.

When I first received the pants they were a little small, after wearing for a while they loosened and fit OK. However after washing they shrunk, and now<br />uncomfortable to wear very, hard to button. Not sure what my next step will be.
I definitely would recommend these jeans ,I was wearing Levi's 560 relaxed fit jeans . But the changed to Carhartt relaxed fit they fit me better and they look better with my cowboy boots.

These fit so well out of the box , I bought 2 more pair. I like the tapered legs on these jeans. Many of my jeans feel like bellbottoms as the leg openings are too wide. These are just right.

You tapered the legs way too much. I wish you would offer these same colors in the straight leg jeans. I love the flannel lined relaxed fit straight leg jeans. I'm sure you will screw those up soon....change style or colors.
Generally quality is good. Pockets are shallow in depth. Waist size runs smaller than other brands. Would be nice to have odd number inseam lengths.
I truly wish there would be an accurate, lesser size than by increments of two inches for length. The 42-32 size is actually closer to 33 in length. The result now leads to the infamous "heel scrape" that has caused a generous amount of fraying and for people find yet another thing to make fun of an old Pollack about. I try to explain it is from excessive moonwalking but they dismiss this. Their loss. I'll continue to do it a night. In a darkened garage. Alone. (not by choice). Thank you and hope this tirade leads to more choices in length. Hobbitts need jeans too.

My only problem is that the back pocket is not large enough to hold my wallet. it is a minor problem, but I had to return them because of it.
I have tried jeans from pretty much every major manufacturer, except for the ridiculously overpriced designer ones, and Carhartts have been by far the best. The zipper are high quality and reinforced with cordura, the pockets are deep enough for concealed carry and they don't rip, and the cut is pretty much exactly as descrubed. My only critisism is that these would work better in the fall and winter, because of the weight of the denim. In summer, they're hot. (But that's what shorts are for. I just wish Carhartt would make shorts that don't go down past my knees.) I find that the straight leg, regular fit works better for me than the relxed fit, but I wanted to try these and I like them, I just like the straight leg regular fit better.

Yet another pair wearing out between the legs just under my...privates. Must I have thigh gap to not wear these out? Washed them and noticed a 1-inch separation next to and along the center seam. Triple-stitching is great, but is of no use if the material wears out.
Mediocre jeans. Ordered two of the same size and they fit completely different. Also have a problem with holes forming on the top of the back pockets. Not on the new jeans but many other carhartt jeans. I suppose you get what you pay for.

These are a full-cut or relaxed fit tapered jean. They're great! I like Carhartt anything and have never been disappointed. My last pair I used almost exclusively. Those are the relaxed fit straight leg. I am still wearing them. They have become a bit too faded to wear on dress down Friday, so it was time to add a new pair.

I have been wearing the B17's for about the last 15 years with no problems up until this last purchase. Somewhere along the lines, the moderitly taped leg, that would accomodate work 6" boots, now are tapered to the point, that they would fit better inside the boot, than outside. I don't wear my pants inside my boots. Secondly, the "Relaxed fit" seems to have tightened up considerably. My dughter bought me a pair about this time last year, and they fit just as well as all the others in previous years. This Christmas, she couldn't find th B17's, so she bought me a pair of Carhartt 5 Pocket Stretch jeans. Understandably, because they are stretch jeans, they are cut tighter, to be more form fitting, something maybe a younger man would wear. I've been wearing them, so as to not hurt her feelings, but when I had the oportunity to do so, I found and ordered two pair. When they arrived, I was looking so forward to putting on and wearing new work jeans... I couldn't wait, but I did, to wash them first (in cold water). When I tried them on the first time, they felt tight and the pant leg was narrow. I tried the other pair, they were too. I held them up to the pair I bought last year, and not only were the pants legs almost two inches tighter, the whole leg and uppers were smaller too. I held them against the stretch jeans, and everything matched. Did you somehow get the patterns mixed up? I've been loosing weight, if anything, they should fit looser, not tighter. What happened?
I love these jeans but they have one issue, they quickly get holes at the corners of the rear pockets. I have gone through about 8 pairs of these and they all have gotten holes at the corners of the pockets with moderate use. Aside from the holes they still look great, I never had this problem with other brands of jeans.

I have always thought that Carhartt made a really durable<br />garment. As I have aged ( now 70), I have lost weight so the only criticism I have is that my tapered jeans are still somewhat baggy below the knee. I realize that you are making work clothes, but I wear them everywhere.<br />I bought coveralls for both my son and I at Xmas and they are truly "bombproof" THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO!

7 pair of B17 jeans for my dad - have returned all 7 due to holes at the corner of the back pockets on all 7 pairs, only after a few wears. FYI - he doesn't carry anything (i.e. billfold) in his pockets - he uses a money clip, which he has in his front pockets. <br /><br />Customer Service has been amazing in issuing a credit and then in helping me order replacements.
As others have pointed out, the sizing is not consistent. I have several pairs of these jeans and can only find my size online. However, I often have to send back because the rise differs so much. The Stonewash (made in Mexico) seems to be more consistent. I need the darker Darkstone (made in Nicaragua), but they are almost always too long in the rise. Why can't they use the same zipper/pattern? The ones made in Mexico have an 8" zipper and the others have 10" zipper. Also, could be more durable for $40 jeans.

Originally liked them. I have many T-Shirts and a few jackets. All have been great. However, after a few months with these the pants are all tearing at the top corners of the back pockets. I purchased three or four pairs at the same time. All having the same issue. I tossed the receipt so I didn’t try to contact them about it.

One of the two pair fit great . The other not so good. The stitched seam in the upper growing area is twisted too far to the right and short in the inseam. It makes it Too uncomfortable to wear. But they are very good jeans when built right. It seems that carhartt is outsourcing the build all over the world these days. Best not order online go to your local retailer and try each one on they all are different.
I like these jeans because they fit well and I can get them longer to stay down on my loower leg when motorcycle riding. With the taper it is a small enough leg opening that they don't go under my heel when walking.
Both my wife and I love the fit and durability of these jeans. The 15 oz denim is just perfect. One thing I really like is pocket size, they have good depth, combine that with all the other pros (fit, durability, appearance) and these will continue to be the jeans we own.

I have been wearing the same style and size for years but my recent purchase fits poorly. The new pair is way too baggy. I held them up to another I have and it is laughable. Now I am stuck paying the return shipping fee. I regret not purchasing them on another site. I will not purchase another pair unless I can try them on in a store. Unhappy customer.

Fit exactly like the last six or so pair of Carhartt jeans I purchased. I just type in the waist size, length, and all other pertinent info and I get comfortable, great looking jeans. I started buying Carhartt jeans at Sears a few years ago not even knowing what brand they were. Well when Sears closed I looked at the leather logo on the back pocket and the measurements on the tag inside, punched in what color and I’ve been ordering online ever since. I’ve never been disappointed!

I have been wearing this style for several years for work but lately the fit is not always good. Have to order multiple pairs online or try on several pairs at store in order to find a few that actually fit comfortably even though they are all the same size supposedly. Now the last several pairs have the corner of the rear pockets pulling apart into holes through jeans.

I have been purchasing Carhartt Jean's for at least 10 years. I've been very happy with the fit, durability and quality of the Jean's up until my last purchase. Although these jeans are relaxed fix and advertised as "tapered leg” the legs are clearly not tapered and, in fact, are more baggy than other brands of relaxed fit jeans. I returned them immediately.
The cut fits me perfectly, I am nearly 6’1, 154lb. I like if waist sits perfectly, so it does. Good length, just enough, the cut allows any move...!<br />Even it is solid material, it feels soft.

I’ve owned two pair of these jeans, and both pairs wore through around the stitching that holds the left rear pocket on. I continued wearing the first pair until a huge rip appeared and I was forced to throw them away. Recently I noticed a new tear in my newer pair in the same area. Believe me, I haven’t been unusually hard on these jeans. I love the fit and feel of these jeans, it’s the denim quality I question.

Incredibly baggy
Nice durable jeans thought the boot taper could be bigger, that’s only for my rubber boots, it works for everything else I wear.
Had two pair of these jeans that I had purchased 3-4 years ago. Great fit, durable and long lasting. Wore them out , finally had to purchase new pair.
I ordered these to find a replacement. Despite being a little higher in the waist. I think they fit better and definitely feel like a heavier weight denim. So I think I found my new jean company.
The button on waist band is not always in the same place which makes pants tighter in waist. Other wise fit is great.

Only one pair of jeans fit out of three. There all say there the same size but there not. Two of them I can’t even button up
I like the fit and wear of these pants, except for how the fabric wears out at the seams of the opening sides of the back pockets. I don't have my wallet or anything else to cause them to pull and stretch away from the fabric itself except for normal sitting down. This happens after only 3-5 months of wear time. This has now happened with three pairs of pants of this B17 style number.

The relax fit is the only one I'll wear. The taper leg is a gift and the only jean he will wear. No other mfg jeans are owned by the men in the family.
I like the older style better had more taper in the pant leg. The pockets on the butt seem to tear the the inside seams easily . I usually back them up on the inside with an iron on jean patch . This seems to hold them together longer
Great pants hold up really well . Fit is good just wish the belt loop was in the back was wider .

I have purchased 6 pairs of Carhartt jeans, 3 from a retailer and 3 from Carhartt.com. I have good knees in all of them and belt loops hold tight. 3 pairs have holes by zipper base (retail store, had them longer). I have 2 straight leg and 1 tapered from Carhartt.com. The tapered has a tighter waist, maybe an inch. Durability and Quality? I will wear them all out till the knees wear out. Sewing and patching what I have to. I like the fit of Carhartt's better than the competition, so? Taking the troubles with a grain of salt, hoping someone heeds the message I am writing. We think tough and durable, with looks and fit, when talking Carhartt.

I really like the jeans and they fit very correctly. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star rating is because the darkstone color isn’t as dark as it used to be. Other than that, I really like them !

Jeans fit good and look good but don’t wash them more then 3 times or they will have holes in both left and right back pockets jeans are made very cheap around both rear pockets there is no way they should have holes in them being that close to new !!!!

Attractive well fitting jeans. I've worn them for years because of the looks and fit. However they do not last like other Carhartt products a maximum of 3 to 4 months and holes develop at top corner of rear pocket, and or crotch near bottom of zipper. If you doubt this read Amazon reviews same problem by many people.
These are my go to jeans for work and everyday use. They hold up well through all my battering. I would give it 5 stars if they lasted me more than 4 or 5 months. But I still think they are of good quality. The last two pairs seemed to be more tapered than the last ones and did not fit easily over my work boots.
I like the fit a lot. They fit me better than other brands I've tried. Material seems more substantial than other brands. A high quality product.
Photos on website indicate 7 belt loops (w/ 3 in the back). However, last two pairs purchased only have 5 belt loops (w/ 1 center back). Either a QA issue requiring resolution or photos on webpage require an update to illustrate actual product.
My husband is a tall skinny man and these jeans are tapered at the waist as well so he don't have to keep pulling up his pants every time he sits and also they are very nice looking.I just wish he wasn't so hard on his jeans ..lol

Great jeans! A little long, but overall well made and long lasting.
These are easily the most comfortable pair of jeans that I own. Just enough stretch and flex to be comfortable, but with a good balance of strength and durability. The fit is great, they're neither baggy nor tight anywhere. Just as suitable for everyday wear as they are for workwear. Can't recommend them enough.

Jeans fit great, especially after the first wash. Little tight at first but looosen over a short period of time.
Jeans wear like iron. Only problem is the back 3 belt loops. I have a problem catching them on the car door and seats, tearing them away from the jeans. I now have them double sewed. Solves that problem. .
Not to relaxed for my waist size kind of tight fitting was expecting a little looser .

I've been wearing Carhartt jeans for 20 years or more and size 54 for about 10 years. So it's distressing when I buy a new pair and they don't fit. Why would one pair of relaxed fit 54x30 not fit like every other pair? If anything, I'd expect a new pair to be larger, not too small!?!?! How does this happen?

Like the fit. But to me I'm use to baggy fit jean with the wide legs. Have trouble with knees and don't like any pressure on them. Even tho I'm a female mens big and tall jeans just fit me better.

So far so awesome. I thought that as a "work" jean, it would be thick and heavy, but this pair will probably be comfortable to wear in the summer. It's roomy but not baggy. I hope I can wear these jeans as long as Carhartts are supposed to last.
I would have given it a 5 star, if the waist was abit higher and the zipper was a bit longer. I will buy more , as I'm tired of hip huggers putting pressure on my nerve and short zippers.
Wish there were shorter leg lengths available. I take a 27-inch inseam but a 30-inch inseam is all that was available to me.

Quality of product is very good, materials are sturdy and comfortable. Only issue is these are quite snug around waist and hips, not really a true to size fit. I wear a 44” waist in every pair of jeans I own but these are a bit tight. Would it have something to do with the above waist design? Would a pair that sit at waist fit better?

This style seems to be unavailable in Canada. Those on the chat line was most helpful. I was able to track the delivery and received the jeans in less than a week. After being offered a promotion, the price was comparable to prices here in Canada.

Well i tell you, i wore the one pair i had on, during by 5 days on the Appalachian trail - in April and it was COLD.<br />They lasted thru the brush, thru the large rocks over fallen trees, and 5 days of rough trail walking. They look pretty good to you after 5 days ?? They are 3 years old !!! Washed and dried i was ready to wear them to dinner at Long Horn.Write your review here. It must be at least 10 characters long. Fit good, and they don't feel cheap! I'm glad I ordered the slightly above the waist, any lower would feel like they were creeping off my butt when I sit down. I ordered online so I could get the stonewash color, but when they arrived I could not tell any difference than the ones I bought at a retailer. Should have sent back because I wanted the light colored ones, but to much trouble oh well.

The jeans I had ordered were just what I was expecting. This is the 4th or 5th set of 4pair I have ordered. I'm a dairy farmer and they usually last about 4yrs a set.

I have bought cathart pants and jeans from stores, and direct from the carhart webite. If the inseam isn't way off, the waist is. Although the quality of the pants/jeans is superb, the quality control of the sizing is terrible.
I have many pairs of your jeans. The material was thin and of poor quality. Not even close to the rugged jeans I have worn in the past. Sacrificing quality for profit is a mistake for your guys. You will loose customers.
very disappointed with these jeans now. had a few tear at crotch as well as tops of rear pockets after a very short period. Figured I would try one last time to see if they corrected any issues only to have crotch tear out after wearing only three times. For a company that promotes work wear, this product has become crap and a waste of hard earned money. Apparently they do not read reviews and make improvements

The belt loops are in bad spots for me phone to clip on my belt. Otherwise the jeans are great.
I've worn Carhartt for work for 20 years. A few years ago 6 pairs of B17s blew up in the crotch and back pockets less than 4 months old. The fabric, not seams. Similar problems in reviews at many sites. I went to 101512s, "Made in America". Wore like Iron. When they were discontinued I figured Carhartt had fixed the problem with B17. They haven't. 2 pair from Dungarees.com have holes in the fabric around the back pockets after 4 washings, not even worn at work. Do Not Buy these jeans until Carhartt admits there is a problem and says it is fixed.
Carhartt quality continues in this jean. Worth the money. Wears long and well.
I love carharrt jeans. However, this is the first time two pair of the same size same style came fitting differently. One pair is longer. I'll wear them because I don't feel I should have to pay shipping for a mislabeled product.

Lee and levis do not offer a 28 length and who likes to hem jeans? I am 5'6" that does not seem to be such a rare height so I am glad you are offering jeans in 28 length.

I have had two pair of these for about 8 months. They both ripped in the crouch and around the rear right pocket. The thing is that I only wear them on the week end. They should have lasted.

Very happy with these jeans so far! Being 6'10 it's difficult to find jeans with a 38 inseam. These fit well, are comfortable and seem to be holding up after mutiple washes. For the price they can't be beat!
Well constructed. Most belt loops are on seams. I have switched from Lands End because the belt loops have failed on 2 of the last 3 jeans purchased.
I used to love these jeans, but it seems that about 3-4 years ago something changed, and now almost every pair I've bought rips around the back pockets. I don't have this problem with any other pants. The only reason I keep buying these ones is because it's available with a 28" inseam. I'm giving it one more try.
I am returning them and re-ordered a different style. They run small.... they are wonderful jeans though.
I am losing weight and size, so I am not able to shop at many regular stores. There is a problem with finding true sizing and fit, with cloths that are produced overseas. American sizes are not big with short arm, or larger wastes with short legs. Everything I have purchased are true to the size. I am very happy, and will continue to buy form Carhartt.
these look good and fit good, but I can't say much about durability beause besides trying them on when I got them, I haven't worn them because it's still pretty warm in Michigan.

I ordered these jeans based on the description and sample photo. They are nothing like the photo. They're huge and fit like clown pants. If the legs were any bigger, I could fit both my legs in one. The jeans seem well made, but I won't find out how well made because I can't wear them. I'm very disappointed.
I really like(d) these jeans - I've owned several pair but the last two new pair that I had ripped near the zipper after about 45 days of ownership - I wear my jeans about every other week - so this means that in 4 uses the fabric failed- I wear my jeans about a size too big so they are loose fitting - in both cased the fabric ripped about 3 inches up and down about 1/2" from right side of the zipper - the fabric just came apart along the 'weave' line of the cloth. <br />I'm sending this back to Carhartt to see what they say - it's funny that it's the same style both times and my other jeans have never had a failure - other than back pocket rips - that's cuz my butts too big when I stoop down and the fabric pulls on the stitching of the pocket - after about 4 years!
As a tall person, I struggle to find jeans with a 38" inseam. Wow was I thrilled when I found out that Carhartt had one style available. I immediately ordered two pairs. That was about two years ago. Since then, EVERY time I have checked back in, they have been out of stock in my size. I cannot give them 5 stars unless they are available. If you are the lucky one that is buying them all up, then surely you are posting positive reviews. <br />Also, I really wish they would consider adding a couple more styles with a 38 inch inseam. I would be buying those as well!
I am 6 foot 9 inches, 56 years old. I have been buying Levis my whole life but they are getting very hard to find in a 36x38 size. Plus Levis quality has been steadily going down hill. I decided to give Carhartt a try as my tall neighbor has a pair and loves them. Overall the jeans are very nice and seem much better constructed and better material than Levis. They also seem to run true to size. My issue is that they have a very high rise, meaning that they ride at least one or two inches higher on my waist. My college daughter said they look like old man pants and they are not comfortable riding that high.
These jeans keep looking and feeling good for years, I like the tapered leg design.

I am so used to seeing jean size as "waist x inseam" that I clicked on the wrong sizes when ordering ... the web site should not show inseam first and then waist second - it is confusing ... then I had to go through the "returns' hassle
These jeans fit true to size and are very comfortable. I do appreciate the weight of the denim, however, this does the pants no good as all three of my pairs have developed holes and tears at the top corners of the back pockets. The rest of the jeans have worn well (ie. no holes in the knees). This leads me to believe there is a design flaw in them. I would not recommend these jeans because of this issue.
I agree with all the recent reviews, the jeans are tearing after only a few weeks. I hope Carhartt will address these issues., the jeans are comfortable but I will not continue to buy them for just a few weeks of wear.
I have 2 pair of B17 jeans that i LOVE!! They are absolutely my favorite jeans because they fit perfectly and look as good as anything does on me these days. Unfortunately the pair of same size B17 jeans that i just bought online don't fit at all because the rise from crotch to waist is 2" smaller than my old jeans. They fit more like low cut hip huggers than the very comfortable Carhartt jeans i'm used to wearing.<br /><br />I'm waiting to hear from Carhartt if this is an anomaly or the new normal. Just be aware if you're expecting the same comfortable fit from a new pair of B17's as your old ones.
I've had two pair for about two months now and both pair are tearing on the inside corners of the back pockets and on the lower part of the fly. The rest of the jeans look great and are still in good shape and aren't worn. This shouldn't be happening.
Easily some of the most comfortable jeans I've owned in a very long time. I've only had them for a year but as of yet there is no real wear and tear.<br />It's unfortunate they don't come in any other colours (black maybe?) because I would certainly by a second or third pair.

I just received two new pair of B17 DST jeans. I have been wearing this model for over a decade now. I had not purchased any for a couple of years and was wondering if they had changed. I am very happy to report they have not changed and are as they always have been comfortable, the same material, construction and quality I have always expected from Carhartt .
Sent some jeans that had problems back to Carrhartt and they finally replaced them after some time. I've already had one pair go bad again while in Alaska . Not the same quality I used to buy.

Husband has wore these jeans for many years and they have always been great! In the last year they aren't holding up at all. We have had two pair split out on the back at the pockets and last week we had a pair that has only been wore twice loose the button because the material gave out.<br /><br />These have always been great jeans. What happened?
I am a commercial electrician and bought two pairs of these jeans. One pair ripped on my back right pocket after wearing them twice and the other ripped at the same spot after wearing them three times. I also purchased some carhartt khaki work pants and while they have lasted longer they are beginning to rip in a couple of different spots. I will never buy carhartt work pants or jeans again
I have been buying these Carhartts for quite awhile, and have from the beginning been quite happy with them. That slowly started to change a year or so ago, when the newer jeans I bought started developing holes in them. At the corners on the top of my rear pockets, in the front inseam area, etc. Random places that there should not be holes. It has gotten to the point that some of my most recent pairs, about three months old, already have holes in them where some of the jeans I bought two or three years ago are still fine. Very disappointed, and I'm done buying these.

I have been waring Carhartt work ware for forty-two years, and they are better than ever and easier to find on line.
These pants are comfortable when I run trains for 12 hrs. or walk a train of 12,000 feet.<br />I discovered today they're bobwire (barb wire) resistant.
Just ordered another pair. Converted about 3 weeks ago from Levis. So much more comfortable 5 Star !
5 stars all across. Bought these at the same time I purchased a couple pairs of Levi's. The Levi's are now shorts and Carhartts are still going strong. I work in a lumber and building materials department at a big box store and these jeans have stood up to some serious punishment. Handle hazardous wastes at my other job and again, they hold up to whatever punishment I dish out. Another plus is that I can get them with a 28 inch inseam.
For having my size in stock. I'm tall, thin and long-legged and can't find my size in other styles of jeans. Plus your jeans don't fall apart after the first washing!

I have worked in the construction field for 40 years and have worn Carhartt almost exclusively for that time. These jeans stand up to the demanding work environments they are subjected to and wear extermely well. The comfort level is superb and the longevity of the garment is excellent. I have been a Carhartt customer long before they became a fashion statement and will continue to be in my retirement which has commenced. I rate these jeans as outstanding and would recommend them without any hesitancy whether they be used for work or play

I switched from the competitors jeans to Carhartt Jeans about 4 years ago. My jeans used to last 6 to 8 months max. before needing new ones. Now I wear Carhartts B17DST. They are comfortable and last me 1.5 to 2 years at a time. I currently have 3pr for work and 3pr for every day wear. I am also trying out the B13's currently. I bought these jeans after owning other Carhartt products. They wear good, look good, and fit just right. I've since bought quite a few pairs of the same style jeans and I really like them.
After 10 years of buying these jeans, I have yet to find anything to complain about. They are extremely durable and comfortable. They are also the only jean I can find that has the 15 1/2" leg opening that I prefer.
These jeans are made with work in mind. They are made with a more durable material than other name brands. The pockets are good sized and also made with a heavy material, back pockets are lined to be tougher. The belt loops are big enough for work belts and spaced right to keep them in place. The zipper is heavy with a decent sized tab. I like the fit for good freedom of movement while working. By the way, they look as good as any other. I wear the new ones when I go out.<br />I have found that I like one size larger waist in these than in some other name brands.
I have been buying Carhartt B17 relaxed fit jeans for two to three years, and really like the fit. They wear like iron compared to other name brand jeans I have purchased in the past. When the knees start to wear out, I use iron on jean patches on the inside before holes develop, and continue to keep wearing them.
I just bought three more pairs of these Jeans (after two years). They last forever. The old ones are still in great shape, I just lost weight.
I purchased these jeans for my husband as a Christmas gift and he absolutely loves them! The fit is great, the quality is great and you can't beat the price for such a well-made pair of jeans. After I received my husband's jeans, I ordered another pair for my father and he is also very pleased. We will definitely be ordering more.
I purchased a pair of B17 Men’s Relaxed Fit Jeans at a yard sale a while back and was so pleased with the comfort and fit that I recently purchased 2 pair of 35/32 B17 Men’s Relaxed Fit Jeans and now am doubly happy with the Quality of the fit and comfort. My boyfriend is 6' 5" and is a big guy. Carhartt Jeans are the best jeans for him. He is also a heavy equipment operator and farmer so he is very hard on clothes. Carhartt is tough enough for any job. Thanks for making a great product.
I have been buying these jeans for 25 years you can't beat the fit or the style. I have tried 3 outer brands and none fit consistantly like these.
