These boots are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE to have the boot crack where the foot pivots. These are made to wear hunting and I hunt in MN. You have to walk but after just over a season, they are cracked/ripped/torn-however the rubber just comes apart. Now they are not water proof above the ankle.

| Aaron 04-01-2023 13:59

These boots are designed to last one season max with regular use. The top of the boot where the foot meets the ankle ripped on both boots after one winter of daily use. I was able to get a replacement pair, but the company rep made me feel like I was ripping them off. Not surprisingly, the same tear occurred on the new boots in the same exact place and I’m officially done with this brand. The irony is the Vibram soles still looked new on both pairs, so I attribute the failures to garbage construction and materials used. Really disappointed since the quality seemed to be better in the past.

Bought in Sept of 2021, very mild use pretty much only used them to go back and forth from the garage in wet snowy weather and one ice fishing trip. The rubber ripped where the boot flexes where the top of the foot meets the ankle. Very light use in the grand scheme of things and I expected a much better return on my investment. Look at the sole… very little to no wear. They were comfortable and warm and dry… I expect the last two just went out the window.

I have bought 2 pairs in the last month. The steel toe chore and the artic pro. I work up north on the pipeline. They say there good for -40 50. I don't think u would be warm at -10. My toes have got frostbite within 15 of the artic pro and 5 with the chore ones. Don't buy these. Get baffins or Dakota. Also calf part is so tight you can't even fit a pair of sweat pants in there let alone snow gear or layers and when you have layers on, trying to get them all over the outside of boot is a real hassle time consuming struggle.

Great heavy duty boots, Waiting for a lot of snow to test them oit

These boots have kept my feet warm and dry for 3 years so far

I was a deceptively sold these boots from cabelas in rogers MN after being told that they will not fade or start to look 20 yrs. Old. I literally only wear these boots when I’m sitting in or walking to my deer stand. I bought them the fall of 2020. Two full deer seasons in my state. That would roughly amount to wearing them daily for 6 weeks in at least 8” of snow and temperatures reaching from 45F to -10 degrees in late November . NOBODY should be paying that kind of money for boots that look like they’ve come from skid row. Worst part…..we are stuck with this after it happens and Muck Boots goes on making more subpar winter boots. Your customers deserve quality products and after this occurred with mine I just shook my head and chalked up another boot purchase were I only received 50% of the product I purchased. Lacrosse also is doing this . I’m upset and I wish companies cared more about those who take pride in work wear and hunting wear. Make a boot that looks the part also, it goes a long way …….
One more thing. Besides the purplish color fade in the front that looks like I’m always rubbing the tips . The camo is all gray colored. It faded after my first week in cold than warm temps. Literally. That’s really bad .

| CISM 29-11-2022 18:38

Weirdly, contrary to other reviews, my boots are in great shape after 2 years, but my issue with them is that, even with thick socks, my toes freeze up within minutes. I'm commenting for the women's Arctic b/c I can't find it on here anymore. If they kept my toes warm I would give these a 5 star rating. FYI, they are pretty tough to take off due to some suction.

| Tatertots 24-11-2022 23:37

plsase makes these boots for women! There are zero options for a heavy duty, tall, tactical boot for women like these ones or the arctic sports you used to make

| Dip 07-11-2022 17:39

I bought these boots on my way to Alaska. I have warn them a few times in 10 to -50 and even at 10 with very warm wool socks my toes are cold. I was thinking maybe I am just geting old but I tried an old set of boots with only 400 grams of insulation and my toes were warm, it was -17F. I really like how the boots look and they have held together well, they also grip the ice very well. I just wish they could keep my toes warm.

| Rocco 04-11-2022 22:35

Bought these and out of the box, just look at the photo…. Do i need to say more!!!

| Kaos751 04-10-2022 09:01

I only use these for ice fishing for 2 seasons and the rubber down by the ankle area is already cracking this is completely unacceptable

| bob27 21-02-2022 18:17

they are warm but not durable at all and the paint wears off too easy

| Gump 30-01-2022 02:20

I purchased this boot for two reasons. 1. The non slip sole which works well. 2. for warmth in really cold conditions which turns out to be an 9 out of 10. However, after wearing these for a couple of times I am ready to get rid of them. The BIG Problem is the lining on the inside of the boot above the ankle area is fleece which makes it very difficult to remove them even with smooth pants. The fleece does not allow the boot to slide off. This lining should be smooth. Very, very difficult to take these boots off. The tight ankle and narrow leg diameter do not help. Hope some one at Muck looks at this and make an improvement to this problem!

| Bear 29-01-2022 04:18

I've owned my Muck Arctic for a few years now- they're great boots but do crack along the metatarsal after about a year. I informed the sales representative about the problem and he didn't seem to care. If you do have these boots and they've cracked the best patch for them is JB Weld Silicone Gasket Maker. I used it and it's the only thing that will stay on the boot in -40 and below weather conditions.

| josh1221 28-01-2022 02:40

I haven't owned these boots for 4 days. The camo has already rubbed off and the sole is loose. I expected more from this company.

| Mr_662 26-01-2022 18:46

I purchased these boots in Nov 2019 and have barely worn them (see pics of soles). I was hiking in the snow yesterday and noticed the left boot had split along a line where the inner boot layer sits. It's also starting to happen on the right foot too. I called customer service but as it's been longer than a year all I was offered was 25% off a new pair. From what I can see this is a design floor and is going to keep happening, so I'll be going with another brand. I've had Timberlands with a defect and they replaced even though they were out of warranty.

| WarmFeet 26-01-2022 01:56

I just got these boots today, and wore them as I snow blowed the driveway. They are very comfortable, spongy but stable. Although it’s currently 10 degrees outside (Maine), my feet didn’t even get chilly. I didn’t have to wear thick socks either. These boots are a perfect match for those who have to deal with the deep cold. An Ariens snowblower and Muck Boots make the perfect combo!

| Dalton 22-01-2022 16:52

They ripped the first week of wearing them! Not sure worth it. Don’t buy.

| JoCphus 01-01-2022 18:29

My Feet froze. 20-40 degrees during gun season couldn’t sit past 10am. Not like the original muck boot arctic sports which were hands down best ever. Bought these when they finally broke down and they’re a huge let down. If you need a good water proof boot for walking in cold they’re perfectly fine as far as extended sitting in a tree stand, find a better boot.

| ConnorK 26-12-2021 21:07

Muck boots have always been some of the warmest and versatile boots out there for almost any need. These ones do not let that expectation down. Runs a little large but will fit perfect if you are wearing warm socks.

| KFish 23-12-2021 03:39

I’m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They’re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg (though not “tight”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there’ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

| clor9527 15-12-2021 18:24

These are truly meant for the arctic as they are toasty. They run larger than actual size, have thick neoprene, and extra thick sole making them heavy for extended walking. The vibram treads are great. These will be good if you are stationary often but not for walking such as pheasant hunting. They were also too tight on my calves so I had to cut off the rest of the boot above the ankles. I then sewed sleeves made from wader goretex fabric and gluing them to the boot, secured with strong sticky duct tape. The boot is now much lighter and usable for extended walking through thick grass\cattail.

I've worked in construction for over 20 years in Utah mainly Park City which has extreme snow and ice and I've tried literally every kind of boot you can imagine yet my feet always seem to get cold. I found these on sale and decided to buy them because I see a lot of guys wearing them on job sites and I wish I would have done this 20 years ago. I've tried them out in two snow storms now where it was lower than 25° outside and my feet didn't get the slightest bit of cold! This is a first! I like them so much I came back here to buy another pair but for some reason size 11 is nowhere to be found anywhere! I've been to all of the local sporting goods stores and boot stores but they are sold out so I guess I'm going to have to go with a different manufacturer for ice fishing boots, it's really too bad because I would have bought two or three more pairs of these had they had my size in stock. I guess that's how you know this is a real and honest review. I can't say much about the longevity of these but even if they only last one season it is worth it to not deal with frozen toes for 8 hours a day 5 days a week
