My husband wore them 3 times and already has a hole in the toe of 2 pairs of them. He doesn’t even wear steel toe boots. I am rather disappointed in them.
I wear a size 12W in men's shoes and I am 6'2" with tone calves. I laundered the XLarge socks and attempted to put them on. I noticed I had more difficulty pulling them over my foot but managed to. Then is where the troubles got worse. The top of the sock would not rise up to the proper height on my leg. I attempted the other with the same results. The foot of the sock seemed OK. Plan to contact Carhartt.
Good quality socks! They are what I have been looking for to wear when riding! Very comfortable when I have my motorcycle boots on, and my feet don't sweat like before.
liked the sock but it is to big I wear a 9.5 The size chart said a large was my size. Arrived and way to big. Washed in hot water but still to big. They only come in large and ex lg. I will have to find a sock some place else. Dang it!

Great socks. Comfortable and well-made.
Have these socks couple months of everyday use and tops are already stretched out and don't up on my calf. Sock then gets bunch up in my boot.

I wasted my money with this purchase. After the second time I wore them with my boots, the sock has a hole in it. I will not purchase these socks again as they are too expensive to be headed for the trash.

My husband used to love these socks, only work boot socks we bought. <br />Something has changed, he can barely get them on, the tops are way to tight to work in all day. He came home with impressions of the socks on his leg and a line that dug into his leg . He has muscular calf’s but they are normal size.

These have been my favorite socks for 10 years, I wear them exclusively. When one pair wears out I replace them with a new pair, it can be up to a few years before these socks wear out enough that they need to be replaced. However over the past year I have been having some serious issues with the quality of these socks, the black stitching on the front of the toe area is stitched too loosely and wears out after a few uses, this is a very sad issue as these are quite expensive socks. I would not recommend purchasing this item until Cathcart addresses this quality issue, I have Bought these socks with the problem that I’ve described at multiple stores and online, there is a defect in the manufacturing and the problem doesn’t become apparent until after the socks have been worn. <br />A year ago I would be giving this product a five star review and recommending that anyone who wears boots purchase this item and replace their entire sock drawer with them, now I’m saying BUYER BEWARE.

Definitely underwhelmed, yes so my sizing is in the middle of the large and extra large 11.5 I bought the large so up to size 12, first time putting on and the 1/2 band at the calf is apparently the only thing that’s elastic, hits dead center of my calf, and quickly works it way down and allows the heel to work it’s way under my foot.
Boot socks arrived. I’ve yet to wear them, but like all the other items I ordered, they were reasonably priced for great quality
Wish they were complete over the calf, other than that they are great.
I ordered these in Charcoal Heather and they are black, just like the picture. My husband loves the cushion and comfort. I love that they don't look ridiculous under his dress pants like his other favorite Carhartt socks.
Everything is great about these socks except for the ring around the top. It is way too tight on my calf. My legs were swelling after wearing them the first day.<br />I consider my calves to be normal size and wear nothing but Carhartt and have for over 20 years but very disappointed with these socks
The socks are extremely comfortable. However after only one wearing of each pair, I could start to see my toes through the seams. The toe seam stitching was even breaking in one sock. I plan to return 2 of the 3 packs that I bought.
These socks are good socks but they are not cushioned and the picture does not show them nor does it say anywhere that they are knee socks.....or did I miss something?
They come off by about 3 inches in my boot and because they’re new they’re flaky material rolls off not well-made but better than less quality brands which is not a real compliment
I have wire this pair of socks couple of times and yes they are comfortable but the inside came loose after wearing it twice. For the price od this socks I would of expect better quality.
I'm a welder on my feet all day.I work 10 hour shifts;I also have bad feet,the socks get me through the day with little afternoon pain.And that's an accomplishment.

These socks are so tight you can barely get them on your feet.
Tops are super narrow-hubby couldn't get his extra wide feet in them so he gave up. He knew his calf muscles would never fit. The foot length was fine just not the tops.

He's usually picky about socks, and most move on his feet and he hates it. He works in the cold, and is on his feet for extended periods of time, and he said these worked great against both.

in most cases, a pair of socks is good for anywhere from 1 use to a couple months, never years, these, carhartt variety socks, after daily wear in 4 pair, they still fit well, are comfortable, finally getting first signs of holes. and im in boots on feet in less than ideal conditions most of every day. im ordering more for real
I had bought another brand's socks for the longest time. While their steel toe socks hold up decently enough, these Carhartt socks absolutely win in my book. They stay up on my shin virtually all day, no matter what work I'm doing or how much I'm moving. I only wear these when I work. I can't trust any other sock to be comfortable AND durable. I've never had a hole, tear, or even much discoloration. Bottom line: The best socks I've ever owned!

Sock over the foot feels great and are a great heavy boot sock, Not enough stretch at the calf, I cannot wear these socks up the fill height on my leg, very tight. I would not buy these again for this reason.
They feel thick and durable like they were made for all day comfort and fit snug and could be worn with 6” or 8” boots.

I bought these thinking they would be similar to the A263 model, but I was wrong. these socks are made way too long. because of that, they always slide down, which makes me constantly have to pull them up. Also, they are hard to get off after having them on 8 hours a day, so you are forced to stretch out the top of the sock to get them off, which makes them more loose than they already are. They are good as far as being a well made sock, and durable for the work environment, but not as comfortable for sure. I will have to buy the A263 now, because I can't deal with these everyday. I waited over a month to make sure i could try them out properly, and this is how I feel about them. the A263 is better, and it's still a cotton blend. Any other blend, especially with rayon and all, are not as good. these cotton blend socks will always hold up better.
Great sock, but had to purchase online. most stores do not carry in stock. Sock remains soft and comfortable even after several wash cycles.
The fact that this sock was made in the USA is what caught my eye. I am a utility lineman and I am on my feet in work boots (Redwing loggers) 60-80 hours a week. I put the socks on this morning and there is no stretch at the top. This made wearing the sock very painful. I was able to roll them down and wore them through out the day. In a general sense they were comfortable. I will try another 2-pak and see if this makes a difference as both sets in the one i bought had the same issues.

Hubby didn't even want to admit he likes these as he's always barkin' about spending money. These are worth it. I'm sick of the Swiss cheese his other socks end up as. Not gonna happen here. This sock fits very well and looks pretty good. As far as durability goes after a couple of months they are still holding up very well.

I bought 12 pairs of these socks. I wear them nearly every day. I can't remember having a single hole in a heel or toe. 4 years and still good. Starting to fall off my calf in a slip on boot but I'd say I got my money's worth. The synthetic model didn't hold up for even a year.
I wear pull on boots at work and these are great. They're nice and thick for the colder months and super comfortable adding some extra cushion when you're on your feet all day.<br /><br />They fit nice and snug so they don't tend to fall down your calves. They hold their shape very nice even after several washes. I enjoyed these so much I bought 3 more pairs. Only socks I put on my feet now for work.<br /><br />For me however, once it reaches about 40 degrees out these start to make my feet hot. Other than that, great socks!!
I've been a professional Atuomotive Technician for over 40 years. I've worn plenty of Different socks, these are by far the best I have ever worn. They fit great, are well cushioned, with great support. I plan on buying more. Thanks Carhartt for a fantastic product.
Socks at Carhartt are higher , But they fit great with extra height I love. They are thicker and I'm sure they will last longer :)

Have worn Carhart steel toe boot socks for many years. Execeptional quality and comfort! Extremely durable and holds shape after repeated washing. Would recommend these to any person who regularly must wear steel toe boots.
