i’m mixed. from a technical standpoint, the hat is fine i guess. however, be warned if you’re buying the blackberry variant, because the color pictured is decidedly NOT the same color you get upon purchase. rather than the red-purple of the hat in the picture, i got a hat that was entirely brown. as a colorful guy who loves my colors, this hat has left me disappointed and sad, on the verge of depressive fugue. to say i’m devastated would be an understatement.

The hats are one size fits all but they are large roomy hats, and worse, they are inconsistent. <br /><br />I bought the orange one first and it was a little bit larger than what I would have liked. I like my hats to fit snug on my bald head, with no extra material 'flopping' around on top my head making me look like a cone head. Other than that, the hat was great (the orange one) and I really like it. I simply fold the bottom up a little more and pull it down in the back to get a more snug fit. <br /><br />So then I ordered the black one a few days later. The black one is a good 3 to 4 inches taller than the orange which makes a huge difference. There is so much extra material just sticking straight up on top my head, making it look silly, and it's just too much to fold the bottom up a little more. Unfortunately, as I am very picky w/ all clothing, I will never wear this hat and for twenty bucks I won't be bothered to return it either. I'll just take the loss and donate it to a homeless person I guess. <br /><br />I attached some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. If the company wants to earn more of my business down the road, they can send me another hat to make it right.
Really warm, great fit but it's a bit long almost like a conehead if I didn't pull it down to my eyebrows. Other than that I bought the black and it looks really nice and goes with the rest of my winter gear.

I ordered a blackberry color beanie and when I received it, it looked more dark brown even in bright sun light.
I got this for my husband because he misplaced his last one. The one I received is much larger than his last one. I noticed in another review that the sizes of the hats vary depending on which country it’s made in. Seems like a manufacturing oversight and perhaps some quality control needs to happen across the board so the sizing is consistent. And there’s no way to know which size hat you’re getting until it’s here. Quite frustrating. He can’t even wear this hat. I won’t even mark the fit for this review, because it’s a gamble, apparently.

I've bought a bunch of these and have always been happy with them.
I bought two, a black one from Vietnam and a orange one from Canada. Both purchased on this website at the same time, same order (Oct 2022)<br /><br />The Vietnam made beanie is a tighter fit compared to the Canadian counterpart. My head is in-between small and medium sized. The knit on the Vietnam beanie is a tighter weave compared to the Canadian one so that’s probably why<br /><br />I will still use both but the Canadian made beanie definitely feels more comfortable

I'm conflicted on the review. I love the toque! But the Burgundy/black berry one is where I have the issue. It's not Burgundy. In person the colour is a brown with a hint of red. I was really bummed out about it.

This hat is great quality and is very comfortable! My only complaint would be the size. It fits very well around my head, but the height of the hat is long for my liking. There is so much extra room in the top of the hat. I actually ended up buying the same style of hat, but in a Carhartt youth size and it fits perfectly. It would be great if Carhartt could add to their colors for the kids youth size hats for us ladies that have smaller heads!

Love it! One size fits all, is very warm, and this says a lot as I shave my head. Is easy to roll up higher or pull down over my ears to regulate my feelings of warmth or cold.

I have a blaze orange beanie and over all it looks fine and fits good. The sewn on patch in the front is placed unevenly with the top seams, so if you were to wear it correctly with the seams inline with your head the patch is off center. Kinda sloppy. It's not made in the USA so it helps keep the price down and the CCP in business. There's already some pilling around the fold and I've only been wearing it for this one winter so far. My biggest complaint is that it's really not that warm. Not even close to wind proof so any breeze blows right through the material, even with it folded up over my ears. It's no better than any Walmart brand hat for a 1/3 the price. This, in short, is a cheap hat with a Carhartt patch to validate your hipster card. It does fit good and it's comfy, but there's no way I'd buy another one. All thigs considered, it's just not a valid winter hat because it's just not warm. bought this for my brother and it was WAYYY too long/tall; it stuck up completely flat a good eight inches above his head. it was also pretty tight fitting so that combination was pretty awkward. the quality was good and it was soft, but unless you like that kind of look i wouldn’t buy.

It was a gift and first I ordered from carhart direct and they messed my order so bad. Had my address as Idaho instead of ohio and then cancelled my order. I bought 4 different carhart hats this year and will never order from carhart again. I am sure the girls will love them though. Dicks helped me and tractor supply. If I had to rely on carhart, my grandchildren would be disappointed. Thanks for asking.
Bought a couple of these for the holidays. The "marl" pattern ones are a LOT lighter than the photos. I bought the blue spruce marl, and it's essentially light teal. No black flecks in it at all, and several shades lighter than it looks on the website. Needed a beanie so I decided to keep it, but was extremely disappointed in the drastic difference. The solid color ones were accurate to color, but overall very tight and a constant battle to stop from riding up your head if you have a bigger noggin.

This is the most uncomfortable beanie I’ve ever worn. It’s rough and scratchy unlike other beanies I have that are 100% acrylic. I wore it about ten minutes then was forced to take it off.
This is the nicest beanie I own …comfortable seems durable the color is nice too, easy to buy matching scarf for it. Oh and not scratchy. I have nothing bad to say about if. Maybe I wish the pricing for all colors were the same.

This bright green beanie was NOT an original Carhartt beanie. I had recently purchased an original from the actual company and it was perfect in every way. The one you sold me had a crooked label with uneven stitching..... there were fibers from your beanie coming off and it did not have that snug feel as the originals do. Your beanie was the same price as the original.<br /> I purchased it thinking it was the real one and it surely is not. Im still trying to figure out you could actually sell something like that.

I love Carhartt beanies. They're so soft and warm. The one in particular I ordered wasn't the color I thought it was going to be. The picture looked a little different than it did in person, but the name of it was accurate. I thought it was going to be more beige, but it was more olive. I think the longer I wear it may eventually get itchy, but that's going to happen with any hat.

This one was really great, I ordered three more all different colors but unfortunately those were not the same quality. I looked at the tag and they were not made in the USA. I'm not sure why there is a difference in quality but the first one I ordered was made in the USA and it's fit perfectly nice and snug while the others fit loose and the material did not feel the same. I don't think I'll be ordering more because I won't ever know what quality I'll get when I order.

I work in industrial walk in freezers and coolers, so even in the summertime I have to have a beanie or headband on me at all times! I found that the weight works great to keep my ears warm. I do however notice that it rides up sometimes while wearing it, and I don't experience that with other beanies I have. It's a little annoying to have to stop to pull it down so it doesn't create a huge extra gap of fabric at the top of my head, and come off my ears. For this reason I don't wear it outside of work, because it looks...dorky. I feel it would be best on someone with a larger head to prevent the end of it looking like the head of a Giant Squid.

This hat is really warm and the color is cute. Took off 2 stars because there was a thread pulled on the back so it is not 100% the way I expected. Cut the thread to remove it and now there is a tiny hole in the hat.

I ordered three of these hats to see what color I liked. Each hat was a different size and 1 had a looser knit which I would have preferred as it stays down on your head easier but the color I wanted was a tighter knit. These hats are very warm and cozy but wish the styles were consistent or broken out into two options so you could pick. I have one of these hats that is over a year old that had the looser knit, worn a lot, that still looks great and was hoping to add another in rotation.

I didn’t get one of the three I ordered. The two which arrived are nice, but I am bummed about the customer service. I called and asked that a replacement be sent out Wednesday, was told that they would email the department, and I would receive an email. So far, nothing.

I really am enjoying this beanie! The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is mostly because it’s to tight. Although, I do have a larger than average head. So, I think if your going to buy a beanie, go with this one.

Disappointed in the quality of the fabric. They definitely don't make these like they used to. The density of the fabric is much lighter and generally does not consist with what I generally expect from the Carhartt brand. If you only need it for the blaze orange then maybe this would be good for you.

I’ve been a longtime shopper of Carhartt and have gone through several of their knit beanies. But as fast as I buy them I lose them, so I’m always needing to buy new it seems. I’m so disappointed in the latest iterations of this classic item! Has anyone else notice the weird new fit? There is so much excess fabric that sticks up off my head even when I pull the hat down just above my eyes! This never happened before, the fit used to be absolutely perfect! Has anyone from Carhartt acknowledged the switch? I know I’m not the only one who has noticed and is disappointed. Im hoping some plan is in the works to bring the old fit back, even as a separate item in addition to this new, more “trendy” style. Would love to hear from someone at Carhartt!!

Very good product....It runs a bit small for me and because it is a bit elastic, it tends to run up on my head , making me look like a cone-head. I wish it were a bit bigger.

I’m someone who’s always loved hats but every one I’ve tried always fit weird on my head or I didn’t like how I looked in it. Not with these, I bought 3 and the colors are awesome and I thought they fit great and I looked cute in all of them! I will say my green one was a bit longer or looser than the others but again it still looked awesome!

These hats are super warm and look good with everything. The hunter orange one is the most recent that I got. It’s brighter than it looks in the product photo but still looks awesome.<br /><br />These are really tight when you first get them and like to ride up your hair, which is irritating, but I speed up the break-in process by stretching the new hat on my knees while I’m lounging.

I got this in the muted green color (sorry, at the time I'm writing this review, I can't remember what they named it on the website but it's like a light sage) and I'm obsessed. I also have it in their signature brown color that you see on most of their products and I love both of them very much! Plus, these hats last FOREVER. Highly recommend!

This hat has been my saving grace during the cold winter months. I have found that certain colors fit my head slightly different, but overall this has been the perfect hat. I have no problem fitting my hardhat over it, unlike other winter hats I have had in the past.

I have a small head and am out working on our blueberry farm in the fields in inclement weather a lot. I oftentimes wear a hat under a hood and in no time, the hat is sliding down over my eyes. This hat is made of a tight knit and it doesn't slide as readily and fits my head better than most. It is also ultra warm.

Not a consistent product, received a defective item that appears to lack the quality Carhartt has been known for in years past. Stitching at the crown of the hat is off center and bunches in a way that looks odd and uneven giving the whole hat an unfinished sloppy look. Really bummed.

i’m mixed. from a technical standpoint, the hat is fine i guess. however, be warned if you’re buying the blackberry variant, because the color pictured is decidedly NOT the same color you get upon purchase. rather than the red-purple of the hat in the picture, i got a hat that was entirely brown. as a colorful guy who loves my colors, this hat has left me disappointed and sad, on the verge of depressive fugue. to say i’m devastated would be an understatement.
