Irish Setter 11-inch Two Harbor Safety Toe Pull On Boots feature:
I have worn this same boot for the last decade hiking and working as they are incredibly comfortable, secure on the foot, and look decent. With work boots I play it safe, better the devil you know than the one you don't. Wearing these for a decade means I've bought about 14 pairs. This is because the liner of every one at 8 months fails in such a way that makes it like a Chinese finger trap on your foot. You will either hurt your fingers prying it off, or roll around pathetically while you eventually are able to cut your foot free, either way you won't successfully fix it without ruining the comfort because you're not a seamstress so you will buy another one. Its like continuing to take back the gorgeous minx you're dating that is so right in most ways but cheats on you every 8 months. I'm trapped with these two harbors forever but you should move on because somrwhere there is (a more expensive) one that is just as nice and will treat you better.
I bought my first pair of Irish sitter boots about 2 years ago they have been abused from work everyday and have withstood every thing imaginable. I was a very apprehensive about them before I bought them but sure glad I did afterwards. I have wore red wings for the biggest part of my work life and consider them the best until Irish sitter now red wing has an equal.
Bought 2 pairs of these about six years ago to wear around the barn and working in the woods and running a sawmill. They have been just what my old dogs needed. Comfortable, good support without being tight but easy to slip on and off even with swollen feet at the end of the day. They have been stepped on by horses, had logs dropped on them, been buried in horse manure and mud and yet stayed reasonably waterproof with minimal care. Highly recommend for anyone who likes a pull on work boot.
The boots held up great! I have used these boots 5-6 days a week in dry, hot, cold and wet conditions for 8 months. I always go through boots because they tear at the sole, the side seam, or the lining comes apart.these did not. When the back part of the sole started to wear, because of how I walk, they repaired them for me to get more use out of them. I just wish they could be resoled. I just bought another Irish Setter boot because these held up so well! Irish Setter got a new customer.
I went to Red Wing as a first time customer hoping to find a good quality, comfortable, long lasting work boot. I ended up going with the Two Harbors because it was the only suitable boot the store had that fit well, and I liked how they felt at the time. I was hoping to wait closer to a year of owning them to write this review so I could report on durability, but I’ve immediately had problems. I’ve only been wearing these boots for two days, and my feet are killing me like never before!! When I took them off after the second day of wearing, the bottoms of my feet were swollen and tense, to the point I couldn’t walk correctly. These boots have absolutely no kind of cushion or support. It seems that they trick you into having to buy their upgraded insoles for them. No other work boot has done this to me, even the ones significantly cheaper than these. They are nice and waterproof so far, and I will say they look nice. But there is just zero comfort out of the box. Expected so much more from Red Wing especially for the price!!!
They are comfortable boots but they do not last. On my 5th pair. They used to have a 1 year warranty until recently. Just after 5-6 months of each pair the inner linning would get ripped or come undone. I could get them warrantied but they still only lasted 5-6 months until the liner ripped. I use a boot puller since the first time I was told the issue was because I was not using a boot puller. This last time when I went to have them warrantied I was informed they only have a 6 month warranty and I was 1 week past that date. The store said they would not replace them but that they would repair them for free. I got back the boots after waiting over 4 weeks and all they did was stich in a piece of leather on the back of the heel and it looks like a God awful repair job. Even with the liner ripped I could got through water and not have wet feet. I put these under running water in my sink and they are leaking. I called the store to figure out if this was a correct repair and they told me that is what they do. The boots do not last and the repair is total garbage and a hack job. I was looking into buying a pair on Redwing Brand boots since they have a 12 month warranty but after this I will not be buying Redwing boots.
I’ve had these boots for a couple years working as a carpenter. The boot has held up great, except for the liner. There have been several times where I had to almost cut my boot off my foot to get it off. I feel this boot could get a few more miles out of the boot, but the liner is so bad, I have to buy something new.
I bought these about a year ago as a replacement for my usual brand due to being back ordered. So far, they have held up quite well. As an automotive tech, I needed something comfortable and durable. I am on concrete all day, constantly kneeling down, and constantly scraping the toe on concrete/metal. They are often subjected to oils, solvents, and other chemicals. The sole is only barely starting to pull away from the boot, but has reached a point and stopped pulling away. The boots have remained waterproof despite the sole pulling away. They are so comfortable, I wear them even outside of work. A bit of brushing and periodic deep cleaning and they look as good as new, be it a bit... weathered.
Bought these about 6 months ago. I am a construction worker and can say that by far these boots are the most comfortable work boot ever owned. They may need a better otter liner as for these the steel toe makes contact with the leather and starts to tear in the shape of the steel toe. I was kind of disappointed when this started to happen as they are not cheap i would figuered they would of sustained a bit longer
I had to get a pair of non slip safety boots for my job at a meat packing plant a couple of years ago. The shoe salesman spent some time with me and helped me pick these out. Let me tell you, the tread on these boots have lasted me nearly two years. Kept me from eating pavement not only on the production floor but the iced over parking lot. I highly recommend these boots
I bought these boots about a year ago. Although the sole started to separate from the toe after a couple months, it didn't get any worse. The liner just started to come out when I take them off. That is the only things I can say bad about them. I love them they don't hurt my feet at the end of the day, easy to just slip on and get on with the day. I use them for everything, I actually tossed all the other boots I had out. I use them on my ranch with the cows and at work from plowing snow, working in the dirt and mud, to paving roads.
My first pair lasted around 4 years, my second pair lasted around 2 years, my third pair lasted less than 3 months and the bottom split down the middle before I could even wear out the treads. The second and third pair both had the leather separate from the bottoms and neither one was "waterproof" for more than a week. I walked through wet grass and my socks were soaked. Only reason I kept coming back was because they were comfortable. I guess the bottom line is if you don't need them to be waterproof and you don't mind your $200 boots being held together by epoxy then these are the ones for you.
Bought a book a month ago requested information in regards to it being all resistant sales person said it was great perfect for that waterproof end up finding out it’s not what he said it was going to do I slipped almost broke my neck I would never buy this pair again
Great quality, extremely comfortable and worth every penny. Great boots for walking all day
Bought these boots and they came in today. Been wearing them for over 8 hours now and they feel great. And look really good. Easy to walk in they don’t feel like bocks.
I bought these 2 months ago and the sole is starting to come apart would not recommend anyone to buy these
Excellent pair of boots. Durable, comfortable, and they look great.
Best boots I have ever worn. They are comfortable. Last at least a year. Handle harsh environments well. Keep feet dry in a storm. Haven’t worn anything else in 5-6 years. Nor do I plan too.
The structure of the back heel collapsed and the inside steam ripped
Bottom of my shoe is wearing out need to return with warranty
This is my second pair of the exact same boot. The first pair were incredibly comfortable from the first day to the last day (15 months).
This new pair is the same size and width, but not nearly as comfortable. Too tight. The nice gentleman at the store has streched them twice, and it helps a little. But my feet start hurting before the work day is over. Not sure why the size was not exactly the same. Wish I could return and get a bigger boot, but I've worn them a bit, hoping they would stretch. Not sure what to do. Too expensive to just abandon and start over.
I got them because a few of my coworkers really like theirs very well. They are very comfortable. Even more so since I used leather softener on them since I have a high Talus.
Irish settlersI think they’re a great boots and I’ll be shopping with y’all again
This is for TWO HARBORS MEN’S 11-INCH WATERPROOF LEATHER SOFT TOE PULL-ON BOOT. The boot is soft and comfortable. It's waterproof, and is the lightest boot in its class. I like the sole which this boot uses because it is lighter in weight, and gives up mud clogs easier when washing them off. I bought this pair over 2 years ago, and have bought another pair to have as a spare ready when I need them. I like them so much, I didn't want to get caught short not having a good boot like this on hand. Daily wear 12-18 hours a day.
I've had 9 pairs of these boots if my work didn't supply the boots I would find something else. For two reasons only the liners and the toe comes apart and they leak water. I work in the heavy machinery and befoee that I worked at a plastic factory where it was very hot. Amazing for concrete and all around us but once your foot gets stuck in the back or soaked then it ruins your day.
I go through works boots quick and have owned almost ever brand they make. These are the most comfortable. I’m a big guy too, so my feet really kill me if not wearing the right boot. And very waterproof!
so far happy, lining a little warm for hotter days. stitching on side coming apart.
I’ve never had a pair of Irish Setters and I wish I had bought these earlier in life. Extremely comfortable, light and just mold to your feet. Durable so far and do exactly what I bought them for. They took a little longer than normal to break in (about 3 weeks) but after that.... 100% worth it.
Have had for 6 months, wear 8-12 hours/day in an office/plant environment. Very comfortable but the inner lining had come loose and has now torn catching my heel when trying to remove. Have to sit down and stick my hand in the boot to get my heel unstuck from the torn lining. Expected more from company and price of boots
I have gone through 4 pairs of these boots. Comfort out weighs their quality issues by far for me. The first two pair, the leather split right behind the end of the safety toe. The last two pair, had the stitching start turning loose and then the lining started turning loose. I wear these boots 12 hours a day and probably some where around 350 days per year. I would like to see them last a little bit longer, especially for the price but averaging about 18-24 months per pair does not leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
Bought this boot for the rainy season. Waterproofing good and comfortable right out of the box. I’m out in the snow and rain all day driving school bus. My only complaint they are made in China!
Very pleased with product and customer service.Great job!
Very pleased with product and customer service.Great job!
Prior to buying the Two Harbors boots the last pair of Red Wing work boots I purchased were probably 20 years ago. They were a basic, slip-on, Wellington style that were well made and nearly indestructible... but heavy and took FOREVER to break-in.
Since then I’ve been buying other brands and mostly light hiker style boots.
I’m SO GLAD I decided to give these newer style Red Wing’s a try.
They’re light, comfortable from day one, have a nicely springy and cushioned sole, look GREAT, and also seem to be every bit as bulletproof as the old-school Red Wing boots of days past.
Without a doubt, the best work boots I’ve ever worn!
I’m definitely back to being an exclusively Red Wing customer.
I've been wearing this style of boot for about 7 months and so for they are doing well, still waterproof and fit good. I wish they were made in the USA instead of china
I got these boost a month or so and i am happy with them
Had these for a couple months now, got the insoles too. They are comfortable to wear all day. I work in the rain and snow these boots are waterproof. This is my first pair of Red Wings and I have to say I will be a return customer when these wear out.
I am a Transmission Lineman and I have these on my feet 16 hrs a day with no issues. This was my first time trying slip ons and they are comfortable and long lasting in my opinion.

Very comfortable, my feet stay dry all day long! The best!
I wont lie.. for $200 these shoes were very uncomfortable on my heels on my first day using them for work. To the point where I couldnt wait to take them off. I had to pay an Extra $70 to get the redwing soles that are soposed to be more soft. It did help alot and now they arent as uncomfortable. But these boots shouldnt be this bad on the feet straight out the box. I tried them on in the store too and they felt good. But when I was on the job for 10 hours it was bad.
I'm currently wearing my 3rd pair of the Irish Setter Two Harbors for one reason; they are my favorite work boot. I prefer a boot without laces that gives my feet and ankles great support, while also being comfortable, as I'm on my feet most of the day.
When choosing boots on my last Red Wing visit, I really thought that I would end up with a low cut work shoe, like a hiking style shoe or boot, but I just couldn't do it; the Irish Setter Two Harbors is my "Old Faithful".
I got the downgrade from these one year before I purchased these. WOW, what a difference. These boots are non-slip even in oily conditions. The water proofing is amazing. My feet have never been wet inside of these things. The surface takes some pretty hard abuse and maintains its same appearance. I work on jet engines everyday, so I know a great boot when I have one and this is it. I’ve been wearing work boots for 22 years. Look no further! You can thank me later.
I bought my boots 6months. I’m a concrete pump operator. At the end of every job I end up standing in 6-8in of concrete because of cleaning the pump. Once I’m done I wash them off and go. They are still in good shape and still 100% water proof. I will definitely be buying another pair ounce these wear out.
My husbands feet always would be sore after work until he got Irish setters! Great comfort, very sturdy!
I bought this boot over a month ago and have traded them in twice now. Got my 3rd pair and after only wearing them 5 days the sole started coming undone again like the previous 2 other pairs did.
Too tight and very uncomfortable, shouldn’t have spent $200 plus on a pair of boots that I can’t be comfortable in. Thought maybe they needed to be broken in but still too tight. And salesman wanted me to get a pair one size smaller ?!? SMH ! I definitely will not be buying red wing boots again !!!
These boots are durable enough for factory and they stay looking pretty good. I would wear them anywhere
I'm on my feet all day and these boots are extremely comfortable.
Love these boots. I have a difficult time finding shoes that i can wear all day without my feet hurting. In return but, the sole is seperating again. Yes, again my first pair the sole separated. I tried to sho glue these but that fail also. I bought my second pair last fall and the soles are separating already. Please keep in mind that i only wear these on weekend when i am working on the farm. I take good care of my boots and keep them in a climate controlled room when not wearing. For the hefty price i would think they should hold up better. :(
I am a factory worker (welder) and spend a lot of time on my feet and am usually quite hard on boots.that being said I invested in a pair of red wing Ramsey pull on's and in all honesty I absolutely loved them. They were comfortable as well as tough. Unfortunately about a year of having them the inner liner came loose to where I had to cut my foot out of the boot ruining them in the process, I just figured it might be a bad batch. After that my wife bought me a pair of two harbor which like the Ramsey I really liked the way they felt and withstood the harsh work environment of the weld shop, but again the liner came loose on these as well and again I had to cut it just to get my foot out this time it has been 10 months not even a full year and at $200 per pair for them both to have this problem it needs to be looked into and addressed by the company.
I bought these after going several pairs of araits and working at shipyard as a welder is touch on boots. They very comfortable to wear and the heat resistance is great. The stitching seams to not last long. I have owned the same pair for 4 years so I got the money out of them. Maybe they are using better thread by now they were close to 300 dollar in 2015 from red store.
They fit well. Only problem I have with them is the cooling liner does not work as good or like it was explained to work. My feet stay hotter in them. So I don’t not wear them much right now. Maybe in the winter I will be able to get some use outta them.
Being in the oilfield I’ve toyed with many pairs of boots and have always heard good things about redwing but have never actually owned a pair. I finally gave in about two months ago and went into the store and the service was outstanding. Very quick, very informative, great staff willing to help. My first hitch with my new boots was awful. I was sliding everywhere on the board and on the floor. By the end of the first hitch one of the boots was starting to fall apart. I just finished by second hitch and they’re both starting to fall apart. I have absolutely no traction with them. They’re still under warranty but I’m going to take this as a learning experience and not waste my time with them and instead get another pair of ariats before these boots get me hurt. These boots might be good for “oilfield” workers like flowback hands or rock hounds but for actual rig hands I’d suggest spending your money elsewhere.
I bought the Irish Setter Boots and holes have worn in the toes of the boots and my insoles I bought are falling apart.
Haven't had red wing boots in many years. Recently bought a pair and they have been comfortable from the first day. Very happy with the boot. Thank you!
This is one of the great boots I had yet I will get this boot again
I didn't have much time in my New boots a friend had gotten for me. But wasn't ment to be when a random person decided they needed my boots more then I did unfortunately. But the couple days that I did get to wear them, I enjoyed them most likely would have been my Favorite work boots maybe someday I can actually get another pair I would recommend these to all my Friends, Family, and coworkers.
I work in a chemical plant and have been wearing these boots for a year now . i have never conditioned them since i have had them .on a daily i walk through chemical and water never had a problem with them leaking . after a year the soles are still in great condition only have tear on the leather on the toe from kneeling on concrete. they have been great boots .
I'm on my third pair now going on 4 years. I'm not sure why people are saying "they only last a month" because mine last a lot longer than that. I noticed that the weather proof lasts about a year before I notice moisture getting inside. I work in a factory and only occasionally go outside so that's not a huge deal, especially considering how comfortable these boots are. I wear them at work and outside of work, every day and everywhere, even on vacation.
My husband purchased these boots for work because he thought he was buying a quality RedWing product, 6 months and 16 days later these boots leaked! He called the store and was told to bring them in for a leak test. He took them in, only to find out they are out of warranty. These boots carry the Redwing shoes name on the tag, but not the 12 month warranty the Redwing boots carry. Well, needless to say it cost him another $200 to replace the leakers, and fingers are crossed it was just a fluke. Just a bit disappointed.
They are good for one month only! Then your feet start getting wet, and the inside of the boots where your heel sits has completely come apart hurting your heels and wearing out your socks making holes. Now I spend more money buying socks because of this boots. One month and I cannot wear them anymore. Sad!
I have wore steel toe boots for the last 15 yrs everyday at work. These are the most comfortable and flexable I have ever wore. I wore dr.martiens for years. I'm so glad I stopped at a red wing store instead of a sporting good store for my work boots
Im a utility worker and pretty hard on boots but almost always get a year out of them. These boots were on the more expensive side but i bought them anyway based on the brands legendary reputation of high quality built to last work boots. I was very disappointed when less then a month in the side stitching near the sole came apart. After another week or so the the interior sock tore open as well and are now unusable do to my feet constantly getting wet. They also run big and stretch out relatively quickly making them very uncomfortable. Dont make the same mistake i did. There are alot of much better quality boots with a lower price point out there.
Got boot in 2017 as a gift. 2nd best work boot I've owned 1st being red wing. Am a Auto mechanic still waterproof, walk in oil tranny fluid brake fluid never once slipped. Like I said will buy again or if possible resoled when time.
Moat comfortable boot I have ever worn. Quality of stitching is subpar. It tends to split on the sidewalls of the boot. For the money and how nicely the boot feels and looks, it would just be great if they lasted longer than seven months of hard work
These boots are probably the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I've owned several pairs of Red Wing boots. Keep your feet dry and we'll insulated. But six to seven months is what you get out of them. I've had my pair for about 7 months and the sole is falling off in several spots and the inside of the boots where your heel sits has completely come apart on the inside half way up the back of the boots. Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic boot but for the price it's not worth it, to have to replace them in six months...
I've worn these boots everyday (literally) for over 3 years. My job does have a lot of desk work but I am in the biology field of study so I also spend quite a bit of time traversing rocky slopes, crossing streams, and getting downright muddy. These boots are truly waterproof and have spent a fair amount of time in 8 to 10 inches of water. They even keep out the rain that pelts your feet at 70 mph while riding a motorcycle to work 50 miles...something no laceup I've owned could ever accomplish. These are actually waterproof to the top (not just to the side groove of the tongue like a laceup...i.e. - an 8" laceup usually only gets you about 5" of actual waterproofing, and that is if the material stays watertight for the life of the boot).
These boots have the best fit of any pull-on I've ever tried (snug and secure but do not crush the top of your foot like many boots). They are just as waterproof now as ever and they clean up really well. Just hose them down and scrub off the mud and once or twice a year apply some brown KIWI shoe polish. These boots even transition from the field to church on Sundays (like I said, they clean up real nice)! Someday these will wear out....so Irish Setter - please don't ever stop making these!!
I went to several boot stores but could only find them online and these boots fill the rare niche of being the only pull on work boot style with a sport sole....large local boot store with thousands of boots said, "unfortunately that is the only pull on leather boot we have with that style of sole....we just don't have it in your size". So not only is this the best fitting and longest lasting boot I've ever owned, it also, in my opinion, is the best looking.
Thanks you for this product...and again...never stop making it!!
$200 boots lasted about 9 months before the liner at heel pulled away and I had to cut the liner to get my foot out of the boot. Disappointed
I have used these boots for everything from road construction to mucking horse stalls to hunting all types of game. They truly are waterproof. I walked through countless creeks with them on. They were good for me for around 4 years before they heel lining tore and the soles wore noticeably. My only complaint is that it costs just as much to buy a new pair as it does to repair them, but that is no fault of the product itself.
Best boots i've ever owned. very comfortable and looks good
Great boot! I work on steel 24/7 on a river boat! The are very comfortable and durable! I don’t normally get 6 months out of a pair of boots working out here but these boots are the way to go after you get the new worn off them they aren’t slippery as they start off
These boots are the most comfortable boots I've EVER pulled onto my feet. I didn't rate them the highest because I just bought them and have been wearing then around. I still have 6 days off before I go back to work. I work on a oil and gas drilling rig so they will be put to the ultimate test
Extremely comfortable boots. The appearance and quality are way above average. I usually wear a 11 or 11 1/2 and had to go with a 12. Definitely high quality work boots. A worthy boot if your on your feet all day. Very well made. Worth the investment for sure.
If you're anywhere near OBM, Invert, whatever you want to call it. Save your money, these boots are way too slick to be on a drilling rig floor. They seemed comfortable enough but the lack of traction kills these boots before they can even get a chance.
I have owned the boots for a little over a year now and they have lasted better then any other boots I have had in the past. My boots are usually wore completely out after 8 or 9 months but these are still in great shape. I work on a road crew. So 90% of the time I am walking or standing on asphalt or concrete. I will purchase these boots again.
I have had a pair for a year and a half. Best work boot I have ever owned. Incredibly comfortable. I have worn them while working outside in storms and blizzards, worn them in a sewage plant with sewage up to the ankle and worn them while paying in the mud. My feet always stay dry and comfortable. About to order my second pair just so I have a backup. I have had Ariats, Carhartts and Double Hs before these and this pair has outlasted all of those and is more comfortable.
These boots were awesome at first. I wore through the toe within two months. The leather is awful.
Comfortable, priced right, durable and the sole is awesome. Now if we can get Red Wing to make a superior sock that is not $18 a pair. This is my second pair because I still rotate the old pair for daily use.
Best fitting boot I've owned. comfortable from the first time I wore them. Didn't even have to break them in. Excellent!!!
Got about a year and half out of them until the soles came unglued, fits great tho can walk for miles in them.
I am on my third pair of these boots. Excellent boots for work. They wear great from the first time you put them on. Break in period is not bad, although the leather is somewhat stiff at first. The more you wear the better they fit. Waterproofing is great, although they are not a rubber boot, your feet will stay dry. Although not insulated, they will do a good job at keeping your feet warm in winter and a bit warm in summer. Soles have held up great. I do alot of walking on concrete and up and down stairs. These are a good looking boot and can be worn as casual wear as well as a work boot as they are intended.
Buy with confidence knowing you are getting a great product
My wife bought these boots for me for work. I'm a plumber and I need good quality boots to hold up. The souls came apart on these boots inside of 6 months. I am very unhappy with the quality of these boots. The souls aren't stitched they are just glued. For almost $200 dollars they should last longer. I know a real pair of Red Wings would have lasted several years. So all I can say is this will be the last time we buy Irish Setter brand boots.
I have worn this same boot for the last decade hiking and working as they are incredibly comfortable, secure on the foot, and look decent.
