I purchased these at a redwing store here in NYC a few years ago

| Taytay 24-07-2022 22:48

Have purchased these boots twice in six years each pair is lasting me three years going back for my third set for $200 for three years of work concrete dirt work paperwork outdoorsman these boots are the a Man can buy!!

| JoeG 13-07-2022 17:07

Had these boots for a while now and personally wouldnt really look at these so much as a 2.0 version. After 1 month the leather started to crack and peel/flake off with being conditioned at store upon buying. Where the met guard attaches to the toe the leather wore out and ripped on 1 boot after about 6-7 months. Also didn't like how it was very uncomfortable when you had to crouch or kneel because of how the met guard (for me at least),which also contributed to wearing a hole in the sides where the boot fold when crouching or kneeling. Will say they are very comfortable for sure could wear them all day with no problems. I've had Irish setters for the past 6 years and had 2 pairs of the ramsely 1.0 most of that time. Personally think the 1.0 were much better overall quality. Last pair lasted about 2 years with wearing almost every day at work or home.

I do not recommend these boots!!! Brand NEW only 2 days of a 8 hour shift and they are tearing. Highly disappointed they are going to be contacted and hopefully I can get my money back. Crappy boots they will not last. I mostly sit in a work truck at the airport and wait for jetbridge calls. I am not even a big heavy guy either at 5'2" 145 lbs.

| MARKBr 30-03-2022 16:41

I bought them around 9 months ago but start wearing to them from 7 months. Boots are very comfortable I'm not complaining about tired feets but my feets are wet! All material is cracked on top and boots starts soaking that is a BIG disappointment. I was considering to buy another pair since they look nice and are comfy but now? NO WAY! Top material is some kind of sintetic crap while sides are real leather (I guess).

I brought these boots a month ago, and they feel comfortable, like my old basketball shoes. Amazing boots I love it

| Disappointed Mechanic 02-11-2021 15:11

I've been wearing the Ramsey for several years; I've had 5-6 pairs of the original model. That boot was comfortable out of the box, requiring little to no break-in, was attractive, and had a good lifespan. I ordered the same size and width I've always worn and had to return it for a EE width; this still feels more snug than the original model; if you normally need a EE width, you may need to go up a half size also. The abrasion resistant coating on the leather is ugly and it looks

| Loweryj5 16-09-2021 23:32

I bought these 3 months ago and they are already coming apart, the light brown part of the boots at base of tong and lace looks to be separating. I've wore the original Ramsey boot for years, my last pair lasted me 2 years. I looked but could not find them. So I bought these thinking I would have no problem. I was wrong, and for the money I paid they should be top notch.

| Hawaii Tree Co 15-03-2021 08:42

I am in forestry work in Hawaii. We work in wet conditions weekly. These boots work great on the ground and just as good in the trees. My first pair lasted me 2-3 years. $400 climbing shoes last a year ..

| Straaby54 26-01-2021 17:36

I had left Irish Setter boots awhile back. No reason other than no options in External Met-guard. I've recently had both of my hips replaced and as a result of one I have Drop Foot. I purchased these over the Weekend and out of the box absolute comfort !!! Keep up the great work

| Paintstore Gregory 23-12-2020 19:50

I really like these boots. lasted about two years of daily use before the sole cracked. weatherproofing is good. I choose these because of how comfortable they are working on hard floors all day.

| Roadster60 01-11-2020 21:20

I bought these work shoes for protection on the various construction sites my work takes me to. In some locations there is often slippery and uneven ground, sharp objects and standing water. They have performed admiribly. They give a snug fit that is comfortable fit that has me wearing them on casual occasions. Overall, a very good investment.

| Wkmman4life 19-09-2020 20:29

Broke in immediately! Only wussy feet can complain! Beat my three main brands like a champ!

| Hardworker 16-09-2020 02:47

These boots are very comfortable and love the customer service provided by Red Wings stores. Great Price too.

| Handrail King 22-08-2020 22:05

I have worn red wing for 30 years these Irish setters are top of the line

| Lily 14-08-2020 13:31

I have owned these boots for about 8 months now. While my first impression was great, it did not last long. They fit well, are comfortable and enjoyable to wear, however at month 7 the energize foam sole started to fall apart. Now they are unwearable and next to useless after just 8 months of use. They do still keep my foot dry (which is impressive) but are extremely uncomfortable to walk on. If you’re looking for durability I sadly would look else where.

6 weels ago they are great pair off boots use them for work I am a professional truck driver

| Richy405 29-06-2020 05:54

Great boot and very comfy and look good as well ..

| blakeg273 16-06-2020 23:03

I thought these boots yesterday and and wore them for about 5 hours that day around my farm, worked great. Wore them today at work for 10 hours and my feet are swollen and my ankles are rubbed raw. I thought by getting a red wing brand I would get a quality product but the only real leather is on the heal of the boot.

| Boss 16-05-2020 13:01

I have been wearing these boots for three months now and it is obvious Why now I won’t be wearing anything else. Great boots.

| MO18 28-03-2020 13:16

Bought these 6 months ago now, and they are still wearing like they’re brand new. I am a welder/fabricator in a sheet metal fabrication shop at a shipyard in New England. Concrete floors, constant hot work, and drop hazard were my biggest concerns and it took me a while to find something that I didn’t hate other than my Chippewa logging boots. But The Ramsey 2.0’s are hands down the best fitting, comfiest work boot of all time. Feels like I have a custom shoe on. And the water proofing is great. Lots of snow and rain here in New England with lots of road salt in the winter time. Boots are holding up great.

| Douglas 18-02-2020 23:04

I have bought the same style of boots for the past 11 years. This last pair I bought a little over a month ago were different. What used to be leather is now a different material that still hasn’t broken in and rubs against my ankles.

| CWK2020 27-01-2020 05:55

It took two twelve hour days to break them in, but once they are broke in they are comfortable. I wish I had bought them earlier rather than waste my money on other boots.

| Keefdoe 10-01-2020 13:33

Barley waterproof my boots let water in after about 2 months of use. Uncomfortable on the ankle ( bones ) when tiring laces.

| Kevin t 18-12-2019 16:38

There are way too tight around theSpace the arch of the foot. I have to find a time to bring a man I’m sure they’ll be able to take care of the fit problem

| Ronnnie Dog 13-11-2019 18:57

I bought my Irish Setter Ramsey 2.0 boots because of the fit and style of the boot. These boots were easy to break-in and look great. They also have a very good fit for my narrow feet which I could tell as soon as I put tried them on which is hard to find. I'm extremely happy with this boot and I will buy another pair when needed.

| Bigbird 13-11-2019 15:48

I purchased these to replace my old Irish setters that I loved.
I was informed they do not make mine any more and have been replaced with the 2.0.
This boot is stiff, runs a bit more snug and inserts seem to be narrow. I have lived in my Irish setters for a very very long time and am not happy with the 2.0 .

| Beav 12-11-2019 23:31

I enjoy working in these boots. My feet always stay dry and that is a tough job for a person who works in a water department.

| FredoBoi817 10-11-2019 23:31

Got them about a month and some change ago maybe 2months now!! Let me tell you, they are some GREAT pair of work shoes very very comfortable!! Thanks to my JOB they paid for them. But, they are worth the price too. GO GET YOU A PAIR NOW!

| Makusafe 31-10-2019 19:23

Had these boots for almost two months, and by far most comfortable work boots I have ever had, I was a bit skeptical at first, because I was not familiar with this brand, but I'm glad I chose these.

| Steven 07-10-2019 17:37

I bought these boots about a month ago and they are very comfortable and I am happy with them. The one thing that I would say is an issue are the shoe laces themselves. They are very thin and almost wire-like. It somewhat hurts to tie my shoes in the morning because I like to tie them snug and the shoe has lots of padding so I have to tie them tight.

| Steel painter 21-08-2019 22:54

I am pretty satisfied with these boots. They took a while to break in and did hurt my feet a little during the break in process but once I got over it they feel very comfortable.

| Indymech 19-08-2019 23:28

I can wear them for a few hours, then have to go back to shoes. It’s painful and difficult to walk afterwards

| Drifter 05-07-2019 17:55

The break in time takes awhile. My feet hurt at the end of the day for about two weeks but now they are super comfortable. Only thing I don't like it that my feet get hot wearing them. And I got the widest ones I could've and they are still a bit tight but not too bad.

| ED 1962 12-06-2019 13:38

Just bought them and it's the rainy season. I work in some rough places being a surveyor. This boot is comfortable and durable. The water proofing is a must for me. I mink pasted them really well, witch they sell in order to make them last. Trick to it is, cover them well and use a hair dryer on low to melt it in.
