I never leave reviews on any items but these i have too. I do sanitation and it was absolutely down pouring and after 4 hours of walking through deep puddles my feet are absolutely dry and my socks.. 1000% worth the money for these boots

| Bobjr 06-12-2022 04:01

I’ve been working in chemical plants for 15 years, and I’ve been trying to find the perfect boot for my flat feet. This boot checked off everything that I needed in a boot! It took about a week to fully break them in, and they fit like a glove!!

| Operator Mike 05-12-2022 10:24

I am on my second pair of these boots only because my company buys be a new pair every year. I work in a plant with muddy terrain climbing steel ladders and walking on metal grating. This environment is rough on boots and your feet and these have been the only boots that are truly waterproof that hold up. Plus these boots have a defined heel that most plants require.

| WinkE1060 05-12-2022 02:04

Winter, summer, roofs, trenches. In one word, this boot is COMFORTABLE! Minor thread damage early on (my own fault). Remedied with some “Shoe goo”. Second winter needed some snow wax to keep leather from absorbing water. Pretty standard boot care. Red Wing for life!
Redwing for life.

| Jacobk 02-12-2022 21:55

I beat the living hell out of these boots, I'm a heavy duty mechanic and I have a few other brands of boots and none have held up as good as these

| Nick SGNY 30-10-2022 21:05

Bought these maybe 2 months ago and there falling apart was really hoping they would last I liked the comfortably and wight of the boot they just fell apart to soon for me to make this my go to work boot

| Josh15 09-10-2022 20:01

Great boot. Waterproof. Comfortable right out of the box. Bought multiple pairs. Only problem is they have been out of most sizes for the last 3 months. Forcing customers to shop else where

| Tim 101 15-08-2022 20:33

I had bad foot pain and was getting ready to buy expensive orthotics, I decided before that to try a quality boot and walk a few miles a day, my Irish Setters worked wonders.
Last week my feet started hurting so I just bought a new pair I have been wearing them all day and my feet already feel better.
I honestly put 10,000 steps a day for two years

| TMONEY 29-06-2022 13:27

Bought in November 2020 it is now July 2022 are they are the only boot I wear extremely comfortable super tough I really don't want to take them off I definitely would give them a try if your looking for what I would consider the only work boot!

| Ben p 08-06-2022 21:20

Bought these boots back in March. Within two weeks the toes started to rip and finally the stitching completely ripped on the toe. Don't buy these boots if you're planning on actually using them for work. For what they are they are way too expensive

| Kkiipp 15-04-2022 10:48

I can't believe I used to destroy my feet with poor quality boots these boots have saved my feet, knees and back I'll never go back

| Jim the Boot 17-03-2022 19:37

This has become my favorite Irish Setter boot - after having been very happy with the Hopkins boot. The traction tread really does have amazing traction -- I've never walked so fast. It almost feels like it rolls your feet forward in the tread design -- in a good way. Stable, but it somehow makes it possible to lean into the step. So far extremely comfortable. The front of the toes did scuff off the surface color, but with just a bit of the Natureseal rubbed into the scuffed areas they were great -- they darken at first but returned to a "new look" overnight. Otherwise I'd just clean with a slightly damp rag and some generic soap. Still looking excellent after 5 months. I use these for walking, not for work or hiking. For that I still use the waterproof Hopkins. These are "around the town" boots. I normally wear a 9.5 but found the 9 E (wide) was perfect for me.

| Tom Slay 16-03-2022 03:07

Ive bought 8 pairs of these thus far and loved the comfort and feel of them. However, not a single store nor this website has any in stock or an answer as to when theyre coming back. I loved these boots but will be switching to Thorogood. Regardless of my $400 gift card to your store. God bless and do better.

| BRMP 05-03-2022 13:07

I bought this boot a month ago. I bought a wide boot foot still hurts after wearing them. Feet hurting the next day also. $209 wasted. Never will k buy your product again

| Nick019 09-02-2022 08:35

So far so good, comfortable and always dry. Solid reliable pair of boots

| TechD 02-02-2022 06:34

I got these xmas 2020 and they've been the best fitting and most comfortable boot I've ever owned. Just wear out too fast and the stitching seems to come apart easily. I even re stitched them once and shoe shined em once a month. Worst part is I wanna buy a new pair and can't find ANY available anywhere

| Starchoperator 17-01-2022 09:25

When you can get your hand on them they hold up well, movin about 12-15 miles a shift on a 12r with some heat molded insoles... i literally couldn’t wait to get them on everyday, only thing they couldn’t withstand was my pup! Sucks i got some big D boots in the meantime, way better than those T boots i had but neither compare to this boot right hea!

| KoreanJesus614 29-12-2021 17:03

I bought these boots in November 2019 for work. I work in construction and spend 50-60 hours per week on my feet in these boots. Constructing buildings in Central Ohio during the winter can get cold especially during the early stages of the building. These boots are going into their 3rd winter season and are still as warm as ever and completely waterproof. The price is worth the level of comfort and warmth you'll experience in these. 10/10 would recommend.

| JMK98 15-12-2021 20:41

I was looking for a waterproof boot for the winter months and wanted to try Red Wing or Irish Setter again. I did not have much luck several years ago but now lived in Minnesota and have several Red Wing dealers close by. I wore these boots for about 4 weeks. I had applied leather conditioners before wearing but they never seem to feel broken in even after several weeks. My feet have never hurt so bad. I went back to the store to see if there was a return option. I was just a few days past the 30 day guarantee at this point. The manager said there was not a return or exchange option but that he would “make me a great deal on another pair of boots.” I said I just spent $200 on these and why would I want to spend more money on a another pair of boots. I have been wearing Thorogood boots for the last 8 years without a single comfort or construction issue. Again I thought I would try Red wing because of manufacturing issues, I was not finding the Thorogoods in my size but needed new boots before the winter came. I continue to wear them because of the money spent but can’t wait for spring so I can switch back to my Thorogoods. I will never spend my money on another Red Wing or Irish Setter product.

| VLO55 30-07-2021 04:13

My third pair! I love the comfort, fit and weight of the shoe. Also new logo blends in better with the color.

| Fatboi510 25-07-2021 21:47

Very comfortable on my feet 12 hours a day and no problem

| El gato con botas 23-07-2021 05:03

My 4th Red wing pair boots. Since I tried them at the store loved them. Very comfortable boots .
Working outside at the beautiful Arizona weather at 118F still my boots feel cool as the Rockies

| ynot 16-06-2021 22:59

boots lasted 9 months then the soles wore away to nothing in 2 weeks

| WoodySD 23-05-2021 01:42

I got these boots because they looked great and felt awesome. Unfortunately less than two months of wearing them they basically completely fell apart, I’ve always been a loyal red customer and this is the first time this had ever happened that’s why 2 stars

| WilliamsCJ 12-05-2021 23:54

Bought my first pair February 2019, didn’t buy a new pair til a couple weeks ago April 2021. They were falling apart at that point but I’m very hard on my boots and they still lasted over 2 years ! My old ones were actually more comfortable than the news I have lol but they were perfectly broken in after wearing them every single day for 8-10 hours for 2 years

| Kropelin 07-05-2021 15:19

Purchased in September 2020 - As of May 2021 with regular wear, the soles have started to separate. the brass latches at the top of the boot have begun to fail.

| Bigblock 01-04-2021 00:37

I have had my pair of wingshooter st for just shy of a year and i have no plans on replacing them anytime soon, very comfortable right out of the box! Almost like wearing leather socks lol The soles and stitching have held up really well, overall very happy with these boots and will most definitely buy another pair when the time comes!

| Bradbury 22-03-2021 23:56

I work on the road doing industrial construction. Right now where I’m at in West Virginia red wing doesn’t have a store. So my wife ordered them from back home in Baton Rouge, La.. This is the first time that I wasn’t even offered the American flags to put on my boots. This is my 5th pair of wing shooters. I don’t think there is a boot on the market any better. For comfort, keeping your feet dry and warm. Just wondering if red wing is no longer offering the flags?

| Milly 27-02-2021 18:29

I buy them for construction because they are the only ones that last a year or 3 months

| Micah07 23-02-2021 15:47

I have bad feet issues and these boots are so comfortable I can be on my feet 12 hours and it not be a problem. I also work in a plant that is nothing but rock and mud and when it rains the water gets deep and these boots keep my feet completely dry. Best boot out there for the money.

| Brady 09-02-2021 20:58

Thought I wouldn't like the heal but after getting used to them they come in handy more then the wedge sole. I can dig holes and stay comfortable throughout the day and stay looking good as well.

| Steveo1999 31-01-2021 02:31

Got them 3 weeks ago and the toe and the soles are falling apart on them normally I have pretty good luck with Irish setters but these boots suck

| Sam1273 29-11-2020 17:52

I’m about two months into the pair I bought. Very comfortable and lightweight. However, the sole is already starting to detach. This isn’t the quality of boot I expect out of Redwing, especially for the money you invest into these boots.

| salmd12 22-11-2020 15:06

I’ve had these boots for almost 2 years now. Very comfortable boot right out of the box. The soles do wear relatively quickly. However, take them to a cobbler and do yourself a favor and have them add a new Vibram Christy wedge sole. They are so much more comfortable after this is done if that’s even possible. They are so much better than that original rubber sole. I also added a redwing insole which supports and adds even more comfort. Unfortunately, I think the next pair I buy I’m going to have to spend the money right out of the box to have them resoled because that rubber outsole sucks. The The Vibram one actually even has a little bit better slip resistance. As long as you don’t need that heat resistant rubber outsole having a cobbler put a Vibram sole line will make you and your feet even happier in these boots.

| Pasteycamel69 20-11-2020 16:33

I bought these boots last year ,2019, around November. They were replaced the first month due to toe stitching starting to unravel. This is the second pair in the photo, so roughly 11 months old. I always spend $200-$300 on boots. I believe in “you get what you pay for”. This is the first pair of Irish setters or Red Wings, I’ve purchased. I get at least 2 years usually out of a good pair of boots. I spent right at $200 on these, not happy. I may try a different style from the Red Wing Store where I bought these, or not, haven’t decided. Pretty disappointed.

| Mill operator 07-11-2020 20:04

I bought 2 pairs of the wing shooters and absolutely hands down the most comfortable boots I owned but the bottoms do not last. Had these pair for 3 1/2 months and they are coming apart.

| Dave p 28-10-2020 10:34

I bought these boots about three months ago and from day one they are by far the most comfortable boot I have ever put my foot in. Worth every penny. I will buy these boots for the rest of my working life. And the service I got when purchasing them was second to none. Knowledgeable, nice, courteous sales person. They made a customer for life.

| Hayden 16-10-2020 00:52

Boots fell apart after a month and a half even after I went by all the care instructions given to me. When I went to the store they had nothing to say but that they could sew them but it would take 4 days or so and as someone who works 80 hours a week I don’t have time to let them go for that long I’m in them everyday. Called customer service and was sent to a voice mail left return info and never received any feedback for a company that has been serving the working class for as long as they have I expected more

| Zakkkkkkkk 13-10-2020 20:45

I bought these just over a month ago for work. I was a little upset after the first week and they were still extremely uncomfortable even after 12 hour days. 3 weeks after that i can say that they are still not fully broken in but they get better every day. The construction is great and the fit is snug but not tight. Its difficult to describe but they just feel right. I wear a 13 in regular shoes but these are size 11ee. They do scuff easily and the outer layer is more delicate than i feel a work boot should be but that adds to the character of the shoe. I put a nice little gash in the very outer layer of the leather by brushing up against a pallet. A little cleaning and some mink oil and they look brand new again. These are my first pair of red wings, ill be buying more.

| J_Steeloooo 07-10-2020 17:49

I work in the power delivery industry and I where these boots every chance I’m not climbing and they are absolutely comfortable.

| TOWERLIFE 02-10-2020 00:19

Hearty clean leather, looks sharp, comfortable All day on site, and the protection these bad boys provide is top notch. The only way to up the game is to get the 3/4" Shank slammed in these Setters so you can get solid comfort, no doubt for 24 hrs maneuvering and positioning upon steel pegs and angle iron 400' up. Good stuff

| MTA100 30-09-2020 23:48

First time buyer and couldn't be more pleased with the Irish Setter pair of Wingshooters I purchased. The level of comfort and craftsmanship are amazing. Will definitely be back again for more.

| Mstrimpe 29-09-2020 13:09

I bought these yesterday and made it 1 hour into work and two shoe lace hooks already broke off? Not worth 190$ Was excited because I was told they were so comfortable to wear

| Billybear 28-09-2020 21:45

If you have made it to this website and these reviews do yourself, your feet, your knees and your back a favor and just BUY NOW. I work in oil and gas in Alaska. I bought this boots in April 2020 I work a 2x2 schedule 13 hour days and average 15K steps a day. A coworker told me to get these and I have not looked back. Going to get another pair in the new darker color. I wear these a half size smaller, normally a 12 in other brands, 11.5 in these. I have seen other trades wearing these as well and they swear by them to. I have oiled them 2 times in 6 months and they feel great now and right out of the box.

| Eman 28-09-2020 18:10

I've had these boots for a few months now and they're working great. I needed a light weight boot with a safety toe because it's a work requirement and these boots are perfect. I'm on my feet a lot and have to walk quite a bit for my sign installations. The boots did require a little break in time but afterwards the boots just get more comfortable. Good quality and good looking boots. I'll definitely get more Irish setters in the future.

| Gregg0527 24-09-2020 01:31

Had them a few months now and finally got my orthopedic inserts and all I can say is I cant feel my back put anymore!

| Jval199 24-09-2020 00:15

Was excited to own a shoe by Red Wing. I was disappointed with the durability. My other shoes last me 2 years, these ones not even 2 months. shoe ripped at the stitches way 2 easy. Not worth 189 bucks plus tax.

| Tom R 21-09-2020 03:36

As usual, Red Wings are one of the best decisions in footwear I can make, and having to go a step further to make it happen was worth the effort. I am thankful to find the quality there that I hoped for.

| Maintenance Mike 14-09-2020 18:41

My employer bought these boots a couple of months ago. The sales associate at redwings recommended I purchase the high arch insoles. I was reluctant at first. However now that I’ve worn them a while they are great boots! No more sore feet!

| Johnny69 12-09-2020 03:16

Best boots I’ve owned have been with fo 4yrs 7months on my feet for 10hs to 12hrs 6days a week.

| Brad P 07-09-2020 16:38

My employer gave us a $100 dollar voucher for some work boots at Redwing, looked at many boots but i choose the Wingshooter ST, what a wise choice! Theses are by far the most comfortable right out of the box boot i've ever bought!!!! paid $65. dollars out of pocket but what a deal! I will not wear these to work, I will wear them on Sunday drives on my Harley Road King!!!!! They are that worthy...... Thanks Redwing for selling these awsome Irish Setter Boots. ps I will continue buying them even without the company voucher!!!!

| KustomBolter 04-09-2020 11:51

I've been buying and wearing Irish Setter and Red Wing boots for 20 years. I will not buy another pair ever again. Last pair fell apart after 6 months and this current pair is on track for the garbage bag in less than 4 months. The stitching is sub par. The leather is cheap. When you guys outsourced your bookmaking to Vietnam and other foreign countries, the quality went downhill so fast.

| Suavenacho 03-09-2020 03:32

I bought these a couple months ago and I am so glad I did! They're comfortable even after 12 hours of work. Very little foot fatigue.

| cadeesteves1 29-08-2020 15:50

I would never buy another boot. Most functional and comfortable boot i have ever had.

| DavidC 29-08-2020 13:57

I shopped around at about 5 or 6 different stores and only Red Wing was number #1 hands down. Real leather steel toes with lifetime warranty on the soles. Plus mine are waterproof. I go home with dry feet and really don’t want to take them off. No one can beat their prices and quality. In all my years I have never found a more comfortable boot. Why haven’t I bought these a long time ago! Because of the lifetime warranty Red Wing Shoes is saving me a ton of money every year! Wow! My feet and bank account thank you !!!!!!!!

| SongDog 24-08-2020 02:26

So far in all the work boots I have ever bought, which is many, these are hands down the most comfortable I have ever owned.
If they made these in my size, in a soft toe, I’d say here’s my money and own another pair lol

| ctimez4 23-08-2020 14:30

Second pair of this style of boots, the older they get the more comfortable they are.

| Trent 18-08-2020 21:31

Have a pair of the Irish Setters. The boots are extremely comfortable but the soles are starting to separate from the boot after two months of work.

| Joe Long 14-08-2020 23:03

I am on my 7th pair... I get 2 great years out of each pair... I'm a local union #4 construction worker...I buy the same shoes over and over. This is the first and only pair of red wings I've tried on. This is a very good looking and quality pair of boots. If you are looking for comfort these are the boots. I work 40hrs plus a week in these boots. I have no complaints. Needless to say these are the only work boots I will wear until Red Wings discontinue them. Thanks Red Wings

| Nate Dogg 14-08-2020 00:25

Wouldn’t have thought I’d but work boots past a certain amount but having my new job reimburse me for whatever I chose,I figured I’d try you guys out. Besides looking extra sharp, and always getting complements on the style, so far, have exceeded expectation.

| Stack 09-08-2020 14:41

Super comfortable! When I went to try it on it felt like it was broken in to my exact foot ... light weight and the color was great it's a new color ... I use it for work and riding my Harley .. I get great compliments on them ... keep up the great work Red Wing .....

| Noah90 06-08-2020 05:16

Bought these a few months back and I'm overall happy with them. Can't give it 5 stars because the toes started fraying right away. Within 2 weeks of wearing them, the stitching around the moc began to fray and the leather was almost worn flat. I suspect that if I hadn't bought the steel toe version the moc would hold up much better. I had tried a few redwing boots and they made my toes go numb so I switched to these boots because they had a bigger toe box. I don't know if it's just soft leather or if it's because the hard steel underneath doesn't give at all, leaving it more susceptible to wear. I ended up having to apply Tuff Toe to the toe box to protect them from being destroyed. I don't think the toe box would have made it through another month of work without the seams coming apart. I'm a carpenter so I do a little bit of work on my knees but by no means did I do enough to warrant that kind of wear. My cheap timberlands made it 2 years before the toe wore through. I'd expect that after paying twice as much, I'd have longer life out of them. I purchased a pair of soft toe Ashby's and they haven't had the same problem. Thank God for Tuff toe or these boots would be a bust.

| Richard23 30-07-2020 18:12

I bought these boot's about 2 month ago break in time was little to none. One of the most comfortables boot's I've ever had.

| Rweldy 23-07-2020 00:01

I bought these boots a month and a half ago for work and there is already holes showing in the rubber from the stitching

| Titan_44 17-07-2020 10:36

Overall I am extremely happy with my boots, I put them on and was immediately able to wear them to work, absolutely no break in adjustment. BUT after a few weeks the stitching on the front of the boot pulled out, I still wear them every day I just had to cut the stitching so it wouldn’t get worse. I love the boots and will be buying another pair, I am just disappointed about the stitching

| Corky pipe fitter 11-07-2020 02:40

I just bought a pair of Irish setters they are so comfortable like walking on pillows i have worn sears die hard boots for.Years these boots are way better i finally realized if your a trades man like me your feet and boots are everything i love the setters

| JoseG 28-06-2020 10:48

Not only are these boots esthetically pleasing but are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. They feel like if you're wearing sneakers, but of course they are work boots with steel toes. Love them very much. I'm a Red Wing customer for life.

| Ricky2016 20-06-2020 00:19

I boight these boots about 7 months ago. Most comfortable boot ive ever owned at first. The sole on boot has worn out and is peeling apart which now causes alot of foot pain. The leather and upper part of boots seems good but sole is junk. I thought for the price I was getting a good quality long lasting boot but I was wrong all of my other brand boots have lasted much longer than these. Very disappointed in the durability and quality.

| Dannyp1384 02-06-2020 15:49

Ive been buying same model boots for year. I really recommend

| hhig 21-05-2020 14:54

I'm an electrician. These are comfortable and tough enough that i don't have to think about them except when I put them on and take them off. That's what I want. I've stepped on nails by accident and these saved my foot. After a year they're still waterproof and still looking pretty good. Great comfort and durability and not so expensive I worry about messing them up.

| BIGANDY408 15-05-2020 05:17

Best work boots if you know how to clean and oil your boots on a regular basis they last , I work underground construction road work asphalt walk on rock gravel mud dirt as a laborer I clean them every day brush em and oil them at least once a week and they have always been 100% water proof

| PTC employee 13-05-2020 23:19

Got these boots two months ago and they are one of the more comfortable work boots I’ve had in over 25 years. Downside is the leather on the toe seems to be very thin and has already worn through exposing the steel toe.

| Benjamin 12-05-2020 11:37

They last and fell great on my feet all 12 hours a day wear them !

| Rob111 09-05-2020 16:17

Very nice, no slip, comfortable, and water proof that work great and last a long time

| Rob111 09-05-2020 16:17

Very nice, no slip, comfortable, and water proof that work great and last a long time

| GT3911 30-04-2020 19:07

I have own this pair for about one year and 8 months now . The most comfortable boot to wear at any construction job. I’m a Manager , and I don’t do a lot of heavy work, I have to walk a lot and I notices right after I got the boots , the outsole started wearing off , very disappointed. The material should definitely be improve.

| Play 28-04-2020 02:55

I bought some wolverines, two days later I bought these. Never wore the wolverines again.

| Jerl79 21-03-2020 19:36

I just passed my year mark with these boots. I love them, they have been the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. For years my go to were Irish's parent brand boots. This is my first wedge sole and I will never buy anything else from now on. The break in was the most painless part. Out of all the boots I've worn these there was virtually no break in. The leather was snug around my ankles, no pain and no blisters. I am giving this 4 ☆ because I wasn't crazy with only being able to get the light tan for the steel toe and waterproofing. I would have much preferred the darker browns.

| Jmurda5848 17-03-2020 11:47

The only thing I would like to know is how are these boots supposed to fit? I’m so used to wearing the 2414-2412 10.5 E that I felt that the 10.5 E in the wingshooters had way to much room. So I went with the 10.5 D which is the regular size. I still feel after wearing them at a days work that there may be to much room in my left boot. Also note that I’m used to a completely different boot, as to where it would be pretty tight at first but once the break in period is done then they fit fine. With these boots I just feel they are a little too roomy but I love the boots and I cannot drop in size because they are too small. Any advice and knowledge that someone can give me about the right fit of these boots. Thanks

| machew73 14-03-2020 19:29

I bought a pair of Wingshooter boots about a month ago. They are the perfect fit for me and feel great. The staff was very helpful and considerate. Highly recommended

Wanted to try a new boot. Saw several of the guys wear them and decided to try. I like them. Feel good.
However, I hae been wearing them since the beginning of February and my laces are already frayed and will break in another week. I work in a rough environment and the raw materials wear laces much faster than normal.

| DaveSID 03-03-2020 15:15

This is my 4th pair of Wingshooters. As long as they're made, I'll buy them.

| D byrd 03-03-2020 14:23

Just start wearing them have to break them in comfortable

| Tjones 02-03-2020 12:00

Didn’t have to worry about breaking in was ready to go out of the box

weak points sole cracked in the middle on both shoes first day stitching on the sole and the toe not holding well idea make a model with the laces all the way up like the ashby

Two days into wearing boots at work already showing tear from leather in the front . I’m a boilermaker would I consider buying these again

| Johnr 21-02-2020 19:48

Had these boots about a month 2 and a half months and the seams are ripping and falling apart

| Airtrainer 16-02-2020 19:03

Bought these to keep my feet dry

| Sorbs 13-02-2020 11:48

Im a welder and I wear these boots 5 days a week for a year, i love them they’re super comfortable but one thing is I suggest dipping the toe in that cut proof stuff the very tip of the toe started to get burnt by the slag and eventually showing the “steel toe”

| Ryan23 11-02-2020 10:32

The most comfortable work boot I have ever owned..

| Bamamonts 08-02-2020 14:57

Boots are pretty comfortable but the shoe strings don’t last long and sole wear out fast. Not as good as some made in USA boots.

| Mazakman51 21-01-2020 09:15

I've had my boots for a bit over a month and they feel as though I have been wearing them for years. I purchased personalized insoles at the same time. My feet feel great as I stand on a concrete floor twelve plus hours a day. This is the reason I keep coming back to Red Wing / Irish Setter boots.

| Jared 13-01-2020 12:02

Most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever owned.
The extra money is well worth it. These guys do an outstanding job at what they do.

| Whip22 05-01-2020 15:21

Love the boots. Looking to wear these for a long time!

| Carlos R 04-01-2020 15:39

Wore these for about a month and they smell horrible. My feet don’t normally smell bad, so I went ahead and bought another brand just to make sure it wasn’t just me. It wasn’t. The other brand didn’t smell at all. I even tried using a boot dryer after each use and they still smell horrible. I wish I could swap these boots out for another pair. $200 down the drain.

| Jules 27-12-2019 16:34

This is now my 2nd pair the 1st ones I had for 31/2 yrs still in good shape I took then to the homeless shelter. The most comfortable working boots ever !! I try so many in my 45yrs wish I bought Red Wings 25 yrs ago

| Brix 24-12-2019 18:39

Had them for two months now great in the mud the flat bottom helps keep the mud build up down they keep my feet dry and I couldn’t ask for more thank you

| Mikey22358 10-12-2019 11:08

Most comfortable boot I’ve ever had but they had a hole in the toe within the first week of use

| Tavio 02-12-2019 00:07

I bought the Irish setter Wingshooter ST about a month ago. Although i had some discomfort the first day i continued to wear them for a full 2-3 weeks. Eventually because of the continued pain i decided it would be best to alternate between these and a similar pair of American made Thorogood boots. Maybe in the next week ill try going exclusively to the IS ST. I gave them 3 stars because they seem to have been built well. I mainly work on concrete and spend some time on ladders.

| Smooth 01-12-2019 18:36

I've worn the Ashby boot for some time now and always been pretty satisfied the wingshooter too, always took pride on it being made in America too but now I see them for sale everywhere so last pair I bought I checked, MADE IN VIETNAM, please explain, also contrare to the ultra dry once again first I checked but no ultra dry tag on boot as normal, and my boots don't get submerged , I'm a crane operator in a pre stress concrete production company

| Joker 29-11-2019 16:23

Been an electrician for close to 30 years, tried at least 5 other well known brands at these by far beat them all!!!!!!

| Freezerburn 26-11-2019 19:16

Now I haven't worn a lot of work boots in my life time, but these are hands down the most comfortable OBJECTS I've ever had on my feet. I find myself wearing them throughout my entire day even after 10 hours of work.

| MannyR 23-11-2019 07:46

Unfortunately the fit for me was cramped and hurt every step. By the End of the trial i had to throw in theTowel and just say enough. Flat soles DO NOT help plantar Fasciitis. Salesman was very wrong

| Japan 23-11-2019 04:49

Great product. Only bad thing about the boots is the foot odor caused by the waterproofing

| Jeb e 21-11-2019 03:46

This boot made my big toe nails fall off twice would like replacement or resized

| Alexh36 08-11-2019 01:45

I have had my st’s for over a year. I work in the concrete business. And wear them everyday all day long. And they are holding up nicely! This boot is just so comfortable, once you break them in. I just wish the sole was slightly softer, not by much though.

| Electrician 30-10-2019 15:34

These soles actually last longer than other wedge soles and i haven't had any problems with soles or stitching. I'm at about 6 months of use now. If anything, i wish they'd offer these without insulation because they do get hot in summer, and I replaced the laces, but other than that I love these boots. I can easily forget I'm wearing them by the end of the day and they're extremely comfortable, but tough enough that i don't have to baby them, and practically no break-in. They provide exactly what I want from a work boot.

| Raiderbud 17-10-2019 03:26

I have had mine for 2 years and they are fantastic. My feet never hurt while wearing them. My wife is about to order another pair. I have worn these bad boys out

| Good Chinese boots 16-10-2019 18:18

I’ve had three pair of Irish setters and one pair of redwings they are all overpriced. Every time I get a new pair they are at least 20$ more and made in a different foreign country than the pair purchased before. China, Vietnam etc. No red wing boots for work are made in America correct? So who are we giving credit to..??chinese children, Vietnamese teens??
Oh and the wing shooter is the least comfortable of all the imported redwing boots. 200$ for boots made in China!?!? This country is a giant scam!

| Happy feet 16-10-2019 14:53

I purchased the insoles along with the boots. I have had them a little over a month and they are the most comfortable work boots I’ve had. This is my first pair of redwings, it definitely won’t be my last

| coltrxne 12-10-2019 10:51

My job proved to be too much for the leather outer of the boots. Fencing is very rough on all shoes and boots though. Otherwise these boots have done me well. Very waterproof and very comfortable even from day one. The sole design wears nicely.

| rekkr33 11-10-2019 22:05

Great boots. Work bought them for me. Switched from the ramseys to these. (The ramseys are horrible however) but I love these. Keep my feet dry, not too heavy, and are so comfortable.

Do not get these if you're on your knees alot and dragging the toe. It should be common sense that if you take a piece of metal and take a piece of leather that's stitched in the middle and rub it in the concrete that it will give in pretty easily.

| Betreeuthree 10-10-2019 23:39

I love these Boots! So comfy. I wear them in Spring and stop wearing them right before winter. They keep your feet warm and dry.

| K0288401 02-10-2019 19:51

Very comfortable and tough great for concrete work

| Mit1 24-09-2019 02:32

These boots are great , light weight and durable ,my feet love them!!

| Thor24 20-09-2019 16:08

I have been paving roads for 14 years and have worn every kind of boot. This job puts boots through heck the walking the temp the asphalt and kicking and scuffing ur boots. As far as quality these boots hold up amazing. Had one slight defect and red wing gave me a new pair immediately. I walk 3-7 miles a day and for years my feet killed. No matter the boot or new soles. These are comfortable first step to the last. I have suggested these to everyone and 6 people have gone and bought them and say the exact same thing. Best boots you can buy

| Zachbootreview 30-08-2019 18:21

Had these boots for two months and the front stitching came apart. I sent to redwing boot repair and it looked like a dog chewed it. The stitching ripped again after one day of use. I have used my own money for a heavy duty adhesive to stop the stitching from getting worse. After spending this money on a work boot I certainly hoped they would last longer than the cheaper brands.

| AJnAZ 29-08-2019 10:20

Bought these boots two months ago and they hey have been a great purchase. Working construction and on my feet 10 hours a day these really save your feet.

| Chris5929 25-08-2019 18:50

I'm a pipe fitter/ HVAC tech. I wear these only for work and I've had them 5 months. After that 5 months they top stitching is falling out, no tread left on soles, and the leather is ripping at the toe. Comfortable, but not something that can be used for work day in and day out.

| chapymt 25-08-2019 16:18

I bought my son a pair of red wings Irish Setter on May 25 2019. They look like they been a year old I thought these shoes were supposed to be dependable. What can I do about this $205 down the drain in three months. Very disappointed in this shoes. I have three different kinds and they haven’t broken down like this.

| costa 24-08-2019 14:52

i bought these boots because i am on my feet sometimes as long as 16 hours a day, right out of the box they were like walking on clouds compared to other boots.

why three stars because the stitching on top above composite is the first thing to go, every time.

is there another model that fits as these do but is more durable?

| Cthukep 14-08-2019 15:30

I have some very wide toes, and i went to this red wing outlet where they scan your feet, maybe I’m just not used to boots, because these are my first work boots, my pinkie toe is always in discomfort, i went half a size up from the scanner still no luck, It’s a real bummer when a pair of fly looking boots like these won’t fit.

| Andrew1234 08-08-2019 14:50

I am happy with the product as well as the customer service I received while buying the boots. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and was able to lead me in choosing the correct boot for me.

| GrnpaGus 15-07-2019 14:58

So far so good... really comfortable, have yet to put the waterproof feature to good use... only gripe is the provided laces come undone ALOT... easy fix, though, I just have to do a lace swap asap....

| Harp12 15-07-2019 14:22

Probably the most comfortable boot I've ever worn! Ive had plenty of boots and this is by far the best looking and most comfortable, my feet used to hurt all the time until I bought these boots and now it's like I have pillows on my feet and I hate to take them off at the end of the work day.

| Chef Phish 843 13-07-2019 21:21

Bought these for work in the kitchen and they have proved to be well worth the money. The tread is non slip 100% water proof, no break in time and under $250 you can’t beat that. I will buy these again interested to see how long they last

| Fatkarl12 04-07-2019 13:34

I had these boots for six months, wore everyday for work 10-12 hr days and they did not hold up to the abuse I put them through. Very comfortable and highly waterproof but I did not like the fact that they started falling apart in under six months.

| Alemar97 26-06-2019 07:35

Had no issue breaking these in they are comfortable from the start. Steal toe is a great feature to have when hanging drywall just a great boot overall.

| Kink 23-06-2019 08:01

Recommend them to all my friends I’ll never stop wearing them

| 4Andy 22-06-2019 17:50

I have been in Maintenance industry for 30 yrs and these boots are the best I have ever owned. I walk about 5 miles a day and usually at the end of the day my feet are killing me but these boots make my feet feel so much better. I will never go back to another boot. Thanks

| Northern Chad 04-06-2019 11:35

I purchased a pair of these and within a few months of mild use the soles split across the ball of my foot. I returned them to the dealer and received a nother pair now the second pair has done the same.

| snopro 23-05-2019 23:24

I had issues with soles cracking on 2 pair of Crosby boots so I thought I would try these. Same issue. Very unhappy.

| Oklaw 30-03-2019 12:30

This is an update to a previous review. I've had the boot for 6 months now, and can give more insight into the boots strengths. This is a great boot for someone who works on a concrete floor inside, for example warehouse or industrial factory. Very comfortable. The sole emphasizes comfort over pure durability. I have foot problems, so I need the wedge sole comfort. Yes the sole will wear, but you can't have ultra comfort and ultra durability. If you want the latter, get a different boot. When they wear down, get a cobbler to replace the welt and and the soles. These boots are very waterproof. The composite ST is very light. The leather takes a beating well. One of the boot's weak points is the stitching over the toe. So, just glue on an after market leather toe protector. Keep in mind that if you go up and down ladders alot that this will put stress on the soles. The sole is designed for long term walking and standing / sitting comfort. The first week I had the shoes I noticed that the goodyear welt on both boots started to rip. Rather than whine about it, I used some of the glue left over from the after market leather toe protector and applied it to the cracks. Once the glue dried inside the cracks, no more problem. If you constantly work outside in sub-freezing weather, then you might need a different sole. This does not make the sole "bad". It is a great sole overall. People should understand their work environment and get shoes that fit into that environment. I clean and oil these boots once a month, and that helps a great deal. The leather gets darker, but that does not bother me. Overall a great boot.

| Soggy Dog 27-03-2019 01:38

I'm a structural Ironworker and have been wearing irish setter wingshooters for 6 year now. I will not wear any other boot on the iron unless I'm decking. (Dont waste your good boots, buy Dakotas for that bull) they fit like a sneaker and having a softer sole you can feel the iron beneath you and have great mobility in a broken in boot. They are also great for ground work aswell. Whether your hooking on or hand rigging on a shutdown your feet are going to be happy the whole time. Highly recommend this boot and highly recommend using the oil to increase longevity aswell as durability. I wasnt very good at caring for my first pair thus they were destroyed in about 2 years. The other two pairs I have I routinely oil and take the time to clean them once in a while.
It's true these soles dont last as long as others but I find the quality and comfort for the 1-2 years I get out of the soles are well worth it. I have had both pairs re-soled once already; both are 4 year old boots. There is a reason that these boots are legendary in our profession from the retired brothers to the young up and coming punks. Do your feet a favour and invest in a pair of these great boots

| Beef801 14-03-2019 00:51

First pair if Irish Setter Boots. I love the comfort and fit. I work heavy highway construction 26 So far one of the best pair of boots I have owned.

| Stevie6 02-02-2019 05:31

i am a retired Structural Steel Ironworker. most of my Brother Ironworkers wear Irish Setter wing shooters. Those who do wear the shooters, including me, swear by them. these boots are soo comfortable right outta the box. we can't ask 4 a better boot. even tho I'm retired i still continue 2 wear them

| Ehard97 06-10-2018 00:02

I bought these boots about 9 or 10 months ago now and have gone through various jobs with these boots. When I bought them originally I was a mechanic and they have withstood various chemicals, lubricants, and damage. I then wore them almost all throughout trucking school during the winter which they kept my feet very warm and dry. Now I am a flat bed trucker for a living and they are still withstanding everything that I put them through. These boots are hands down the most comfortable pair of work boots I have ever put on my feet. They quite honestly possibly saved my career as I have back/hip problems and since wearing these boots I can stand on my feet for long hours with less and less pain. I see a lot of complaints on how they wear out quickly and as they do wear out quicker than some other work boots, I will still continue to wear mine and I will be sending mine in to be repaired. All in all I would definitely recommend them; either as a work boot and or as a daily/casual wear boot.

| Rich69 30-08-2018 22:26

First time purchasing Red Wings. As for this style, it's very comfortable. *Recommended

| LordOklaw 29-08-2018 01:19

I have problems with my feet, and can't wear any boot with any kind of heel at all. These boots fit the bill. They are very comfortable but the insert that they come with should be replaced immediately. I tried out the custom fit CopperGuard work inserts available at the Red Wing store and they really helped my feet a great deal. I am a project manager so I spend a fair amount of time sitting down, but also have to visit work sites each day. For this kind of use these boots are perfect. I put on silicone to help enhance the waterproofing of this boot. It worked, but be advised this will turn the boot from a light tan to a medium brown color, depending how many coats you apply. The boots run a little big and break in easily. My only caveat is that the soles are only average. I'm not sure they could take heavy use out on the manufacturing floor or construction site. For such heavy use I'd look elsewhere.

| Dtebee 27-06-2018 16:28

Had the boots for about a year and they are the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever had. I wear these boots all day everyday for work and the only real issue with the boots is the leather wearing out where the toe rubs on the ground when I’m working on my hands and knees. But that will happen with all st boots unless they have a protective cover on the toe.

| Tejano 21-06-2018 15:52

Ive had the boots for 6 months. Supposedly best slip resistent?!? Not!! Slips on and everywhere. Bottom of boot wears out quick. Front of boot worn out to where u can see composite safty toe. I do not recommend this boot at all

| WACTech 10-12-2017 14:56

First and for most, the first time I laid my eyes on this boots I was in love. They are beautiful looking boot. Once I tried them on, I was sold. They are very comfortable right out of the box. They are true to size, very little breakin time. I'm on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day, work in Facility Maintenance. My feet are always wet, no more, these boot keep your feet dry. Lastly I would recommend these boots. I will buy another pair in the future.

| Lance1987 09-11-2017 01:25

I bought these boots as a personal pair and they are great. They look good and they are amazingly comfortable. I've always bought Red Wing Boots for work, and will now be buying Irish Setter Boots for personal use as well as when I go tour other plants since I got these with the safety toe as well.

| Mack 19-09-2017 12:37

Love everything about this boot except for the toe. It is killing me ! Tried on and sized at store and seemed to be ok. The longer I wear them, the worse it gets. I've never had a problem with steel toes in the past. Absolutely wish I would have bought them without the safety toe.

| Knoxb00 30-08-2017 11:24

I'm in the constitution industry, exposed to a wide range of working conditions. I've always liked the mock toe however, until now, RW didn't make one that was WP with safety toe. Now they have!
Thanks Red Wing!

I’ve been working in chemical plants for 15 years, and I’ve been trying to find the perfect boot for my flat feet. This boot checked off everything that I needed in a boot! It took about a week to fully break them in, and they fit like a glove!!

Bought these boots back in March. Within two weeks the toes started to rip and finally the stitching completely ripped on the toe. Don't buy these boots if you're planning on actually using them for work. For what they are they are way too expensive
