Love these boots
I was very dissatisfied with the quality of my boots and when I went back to the seller “BOOTBARN” they said it was something they could not help me with never buying a pair of these uncomfortable boots again! I’ll take my business to red wing!
Great boot had 4or 5 pairs of these boots great boot the only complaint i have is the inside liner wears out to fast the boot would last forever but the line weara out in 8 months or so wish they had leather liner

Love these boots. Would have given five stars but I am having a issue with the insole. Around the same time I bought these boots I also purchased a 6” pair in tobacco and I have to switch insoles out from 6” to 8”. If i don’t switch out the boots eat my socks. This issue is only on the right boot
Very comfortable after the break-in. I took about a week and now they fit like a glove.
You can’t beat these boots for the money. Little to no break in. The trail crazy horse is a very nice leather, seems thicker the the tobacco leather but I’m sure that’s in my head. I wish it had a leather good year welt but your not going to see that at this price point. Overall great work boot

Very pleased with the quality and workmanship takes about 4 days to get broke in but they feel good after that.

So far so good, break in is taking longer than expected. I suspect this is due to high quality leather and well done “ old fashioned” boot making. We are all soft now and aren’t used to having to break in new boots. Don’t get me wrong I think this is a good thing! I believe these boots do run very narrow, even in the wide sizes.
I’m already deciding what pair to get next.
Great Boots, Very Nice Fit!
The only issue I had was right out of the box the boots were a tad scuffed up and the laces had wired frayed ends. I just cleaned them up and burned off the frayed ends and they were good to go. I’ve been wearing them 5 days a week for 40-50 hours and I’m very happy with the fit and comfort. Overall very well made boots

These boots are comfortable and fit great.
Got these boots about five months ago and have loved wearing them a couple days a week. Would be giving five stars, but the upper has separated from the sole and I now have a 1.5 inch hole where the leather bends as I walk. Hopefully an easy fix for a shop to restitch the welt, but I expected work boots to last much longer before I had any issues with stitches.
A lot of guys in my shop started showing up in these and I thought, surely those aren’t comfortable. After all, it’s just leather and a wedge. Well, I was wrong. I’m a machinist so I’m constantly turning side to side, and standing for 10-12 hours a day. I’ve tried the “hiking” brand, and even the “cowboy” brand of steel toes, both were decent but hurt after a few months and/or fell apart.
After dropping my insoles in, I felt immediate relief in a post fractured 5th metatarsal.
My only complaints are, they do run big. 11ee in all other shoes, this I have about 1.5 inch of toe room, but a 10.5ee isn’t wide enough. That, and with they white wedge, one walk in the shop the sole is stained and ruined.
This is my third pair of these boots they have all bin great break in fast and last longer then alot of boots

Even though they take about a week to break in, they feel great during the break in process. For those of us with wide feet, make sure you look for the wide boot, otherwise youll be in a bit of pain.
Got these to wear for my work on houses. Tired of recycling my old hiking boots and wanted something tougher. These are it. They are heavy, take some break in time, and aren’t cheap. In return you get a boot that’s a tank, cleans up well, and feels great. I love them and look forward to many years of use. They run a hair large. I normally wear an 11 in tennis shoes. In the these I’m a 10 1/2 wide.
4th pair of Thorogoods and they do not disappoint! Nothing but good products from a great boot maker.
They take a little time to break in but after that they are great.

I’m 6’1 and 375lbs, I HAVE to have the best boots available because I can’t afford to miss work because my feet hurt. So I buy Thorogood…and I never miss a day. But be careful when sizing, I got in a hurry and probably bought a half size to big and regret it.

Like the boots but really like my other thorogood boots.
They are every bit the well constructed boot I had been hearing about. They were definitely way too big. Thankfully I bought mine from an in person retail store. I normally wear size 12 in every style or brand. 111/2 was also too big . I settled on an 11 although I’m thinking that I could have even went to a 101/2 but the store didn’t have any left in that size. I am happy with the 11 EE my foot is on the wider side. These are really comfortable and also a cool looking boot!
A little tight at first, but after breaking them in they are getting comfortable.
It takes about a week to break in. After that well they are the best work but I have ever had. I went from slip on boots to lace up and I’ll never go back.

Getting older and needing something with more support and comfort for the many 18 or more hour days in the field I searched online and found Thorogood. I based my purchase of company reputation and customer reviews and am very happy with my purchase. Well built, outstanding materials and customer service to keep them sound and serviceable for years only sweeten the deal. That said, breaking them in isn’t a quick or painless process and admittedly I questioned what I’d gotten into. The break in was due to “heavy duty” materials in my words and absolutely worth it. Once broke in they are amazing! I forget I’m in boots most days and at nite I’m pain free. Incredible boots and worth the effort and cost. Couldn’t be happier with the boots. Oil, grease, acidic substances like manure can’t take these down like other boots I’ve had. Best purchase in a long long time! I like the boots. Really havent had them long enough to have a full opinion on them. The break in period was tough and extremely uncomfortable which is expected. After that they are extremely lighter than my whites smoke jumpers, much more negotiable for the concrete. Traction on roofing is a little dodgy. The real upside is they offer the same repair service as whites. It
Really love these boots. They run a little narrow so I just exchanged them for the EE but had to exchange them again for a half size bigger. Almost like the EE pair was shorter than the regular size. Once I got them though they are awesome! I wear them 12-14 hours a day at work and my feet don’t bother me at all.

I purchased the Thorogood boots because of the good reviews, but I was extremely disappointed! I downloaded the sizing aid to make sure I was ordering the correct size. The outline of my foot indicated that my size was 9.5 D. When the boots arrived, I eagerly tried them on, only to find they were TOO NARROW! The sizing chart says in plain English:

I recommend very good boots
I love wearing Thorogood boots but for some reason the last pair I purchased was killing my feet. Top of almost all my toes were getting blisters, my heels and the top of both my feet. I dont know what happened, I have always use the same size and style and never had any problems before. Breaking them in was never an issue but for some reason this new pair is stiffing up too much. I would rate a 5 star the Steel toe pair I bought on the same day.

Best boot, on the market. Ive been buying them for years, havent had a problem breaking them in. As far as the soles they last longer than the ones that a local cobbler replaces them with. My last pair I just bought came with a Restoration card so I sent it in and will give it a try, for what they offer to do to the boots is about the same price as the local cobbler.

I had to beat a couple rough spots Around the ankles with a spud wrench because they were digging in and giving me blisters. Ive had these before and didnt have a this problem. Cant be having that problem being an ironworker.

I first bought the steel toe version of this boot for work (804-4378). I went to a local store here close to the Refinery on my lunch break and bought them. I put them on in the store and was sold. Walked right out of store with them on. They are amazingly comfortable. So hell I decided I need this boot for working around the house, hunting, hiking, etc. I had to order them but shipping was really quick. Same as the steel toe version, very well built and very comfortable. Extremely satisfied

I really think these boots are great, they are still in the break in period and the seem along the vamp can be really painful.

The only issue I
I switched from redwing after having to replace the soles twice a year. Its been about 60 days and can already tell these soles are much longer lasting. The leather is great and seems tough. They took about two weeks of everyday wear to break in comfortably but most of the discomfort was due to the leather folding on the tongue and bruising the top of my foot. Wore pretty thick socks to deal with it and now that problem is nonexistent. The one gripe I have with the boot is that the leather patch going up the heel of the boot seemed to be cut awful, it was frayed and looked bad from the first day I got the boots. My fault for not noticing when I purchased them though. Also if youre in a state that uses salt in the winter months its a never ending battle getting all the white of of the boots

Tried these over replacing redwings. Wish I would have stumbled across these sooner. A little less expensive, wear better, and last longer. Very happy with the boots and have switched brands. The soles are non-marking.
Very hard to find a matching pair that is well built. Amazon seems to carry factory seconds as I have received serval pairs with crooked toes and welts that are not centered at the toes. Moc toe pairing is another issue. One boot is always longer or the box toe is noticeably mismatched. Just poor quality for a union made product.
These boots were a little tough to break in. The boot leather has worn really well but the soles have worn out prematurely. Disappointed that I already need a new pair within 1-1/2 years.
