The break in process was the worst I’ve ever experienced, it took about two weeks. With that said the boots are very comfortable now, they seem to be wearing in very slowly, I am satisfied with my purchase however the next pair I buy will be worn only for a half a day until they are broke in. They are so comfortable after the break in that I am definitely going to be purchasing another pair when these are worn out.

Still breaking them in but they felt great at the store but at the end of the first day of working with them they kill my feet. They fit me but I feel I have extra room in toe area like the steel toe is huge. The wedges are already wearing down too. Looking into red wings
I decided to go the extra mile and buy American made boots instead of China bombs. I stand in them eleven hours a day and have no complaints. They are well made I feel they will last longer than my previous boots. The only reason I didn’t give stars all across is because the inserts are not quite right on my arches, but no feet are the same and Thorogood did better than the others. Great boots so far
Was a redwing guy for years and after purchasing these will never look back at redwings again very comfortable from day 1 no break in period just have to put better insoles in

Good feeling boot
Probably the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. I’m a heavy equipment mechanic in a shop and these are the best I’ve found for that application so far. Comfortable right away and no discomfort during break in. Traction is poor on wet or very smooth surfaces but that is to be expected with wedges. 4 stars only because the water proofing sucks and my feet still get damp from just using the power washer. Still worth it to me to get these water proof styles because I tried the unlined style and hated them as 2 different pairs didn’t fit
me right. These fit good with lots of toe room. Only weird thing is I had to go to a EE width which I’ve never done before. Overall great boot. Probably will try out the waterproof pair with a heel.

I have never bought a pair of wedge boots before and wish I had years ago. Best boots I have ever worn. Comfortable out of the box no break in necessary. I have very wide feet double e and triple e in some cases very hard to find good boots but not anymore.

I’m a carpenter in the concrete division. I’m in mud and water most days working on foundations. At the end of the day my feet are dry and comfortable. Not many boots can stand up to the abuse of concrete and mud that dry out most leather boots. These are the best boots on the market today. I’ve worn almost every brand of boot over the 40 years working in the concrete industry . Thorogood boots feel broken in the minute I put a new pair on and remain comfortable until a another new pair is needed. I will never buy a different brand of boot. Customer for life!!!

For someone on her feet all day every day as an iron worker, these boots are comfortable from day one, straight out of the box. The leather breaks in nicely and the boots hold wear and I love that Thorogood as a brand takes care of worn soles and seams.
Factory insoles felt like walking barefoot on cement. Upgraded the insoles and now the top of my foot is rubbing on leather behind the comp toe. My old $99 boots were better

I have been wearing thourogood boots now for 15 years. Before that I wore red wing Irish setters 877 model. There is no comparison. Thourogood outshines in comfort and absolutely no break in time. I get a pair of boots typically once a year through my company, this past November I purchased my first pair of this model boot and I was very satisfied from the start. Boot was very comfortable and performed very well. This past month I switched over back to my timberlands which are very bulky and heavy but super durable mainly because the wedge soles started to wear on one side and then leather began to role over the welts on both shoes. Not only that but my right ankle And lower back have become severely hurt because of this. I know Thorogood prides themselves on having durable work boots, but if I cannot get a full year out of one pair of boots and my job mainly involves walking around smooth concrete surfaces, Thorogood may need to do some serious R

Love the fit and looks of this style. The white on the sole gets dirty fast for my line of work ( warehouse) but cleans up well.

Been wearing thorogooods for 10 years
I get a new pair of boots provided by my job every year—whether I need them or not. I have tried pretty much every brand of boot on the market, but these are hands down the most comfortable and well-made boot that I’ve tried. I work in a more managerial job now which isn’t as demanding on my boots as it was when I was in the field as a forestry worker. Which brings me to my only complaint: I don’t think the soles (at least the wedge sole) would survive a full year that environment. The soles begin to “smooth out” within a year of just regular daily wear and tear. That said, they do have a wide range of styles and soles. AND....THEY’RE MADE IN THE USA! For me, however, I’m sticking with the wedge sole.

I purchased my first pair of Thorogood boots a few months ago for the last 18 years I have only worn Redwing NEVER AGAIN . Thorogood is more comfortable and my feet and back feel better at the end of the day.
Bought a pair of 814-4364 from Elliott boots, shoes, and sandals in southeast Tennessee. I primarily work on concrete and ladders, these boots are like frolicking through soft grass barefooted. They will definitely be getting sent back for resole/rebuild. I

Took over 6 months to recieve my boots ridiculous. The eyelets snag on the laces prematurely fraying. In sole is a joke for how much these cost the insole should be better than a 10$ set from Walmart. The leather and sole are excellent though and no break in time for me.

I used to buy the 804-4210, they were great boots for work, but the problem was the soles wore out way to fast, I contacted the company to have them resoled, and was told, they do not resole boots, that was a shame, the uppers were nice and broken in but the soles were worn out, last garage sale threw out 6 pair, have switched brands,

I have been an Iron Worker for almost 40 years and have always believed that you get what you pay for and since I started wearing Thorogood boots for work I knew I had purchased the right boot for not only me but for the job I do, you see it
Ive had these for a little over a month now they were a little stiff around the ankles for the first Week but using some boot oil helped to soften up the leather and get rid of the stiffness the break in period is pretty short as they were pretty comfortable right out of the box.
I work in custodial and spend 8 hours a day on my feet I have to say these are very comfortable compared to other boots Ive had in the past. I love the width of the safety toe I have plenty of room for my toes to move freely and the wedge soles are great they have plenty of give and absorb the shock of walking on hard surfaces all day long although these are a little heavy they feel quite a bit lighter than most safety toe boots Ive had the quality and craftsmanship is hard to beat this my first pair of Thorogoods but will definitely not be my last!

The boots I replaced were 10M, I tried on a 10M Thorogood that fit. But I needed the 804-4210 for work requirements, when I ordered the 10D of the 804-4210, my foot wouldnt even go into the boot. I then ordered a 10 EE in the 804-4210, which is great boot right out of the box. I believe the first pair was miss sized, as there should not be that much difference between a D and EE boot. Very little break in time. I work 10 hours and my feet arent killing me. Since this is my first pair, I am curious about durability, will let you know that on the second pair. I am done with these Chinese junk, before they cripple me. You get what you pay for.
Boots are very comfortable right from the start . Very little break in time. Keep your feet dry. The soles could be just a hair more aggressive because they wear fast in a concrete metal floor environment

The stitching is excellent. The leather is thick. Sizing is true to fit. The 3M lining is impressive. The image does not do justice to the quality of this footwear.
