Seems like it took forever to break them in, they sure hurt for awhile.
These are the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever worn. They fit perfectly right out of the box.
The most I have ever spent on boots, and the most disappointed I have ever been. I can’t say that I can recommend them to anyone, let alone buy another pair. Why are they so uncomfortable? Do you have a buy back program? I would love to be a happy customer.
Good- fitting boot once broken in. I suggest getting the Thorogood insole as well for added comfort.
Great boot, fast break in time
I’ve been buying Timberland and Keen boots off Amazon and it seems like they last for less and less time. Every 6 months it seems like my waterproof boots ain’t waterproof anymore or the sole is detaching so I decided I would spend the money on a boot made in the USA. Well I wish I would have done this years ago. These boots didn’t need a break in period they fit perfect from the moment I put them on. The leather is better than either of the other boots I was wearing. It’s only been a week but I’m trying to get everybody I know that wears boots to get them on the Thorogood train. And you can send them in and have them reconditioned and replace the sole?!?! Well that makes these boots the same cost as 2 pairs of the boots I had been buying. Buy ‘em. Spend the money. You won’t regret it and you will feel good about giving it to an American company with individuals just like yourself.

The soles feel fine, but the leather is digging so hard into my ankles that I can only wear them for a day or two at a time. Maybe if they ever break in I will like them but until then

Good work boots.
I really like my new pair of work boots. My break-in period was short, and the steel toes have already save me a couple of times. The only complaint I have is how the tongue was a bit baggy and where it was sewn inside rubbed the side of my foot causing discomfort. However a cobbler friend of mine shaved it down a bit, and the discomfort was gone! They are now the most comfortable pair of work boots I’ve ever owned. Definitely recommended and will buy from Thorogood again!

As a longtime customer of redwing work boots I was tired of paying top shelf price for Chinese made boots that did not last. The main reason I bought my first pair of Thorogood boots was that they were Union made in the USA. I’m I’m 5 months in and I’m loving these boots
Very comfortable boots. Only down side is that they don’t do very well with welding and hot work. The threads on the top seams all get burned out and the laces have a tendency to collect hot pieces of metal. I love these boots but I think a lot of welders would buy these consistently if there was some kind of leather cover on the top for the laces/seams. Still my favorite boot to date.

The boots were hurting the top of my feet up towards the ankle seem like the tongue would never settle in right it would always pinch my feet tried softening the leather didn’t work but quality seems pretty good ended up giving the boots to my son

Amazing boots
The insole seem to move side to side and needs readjusted every once in a while. The waterproof lining is not attached in couple spot on the tongue. Seem to be too much material in the tongue so it bunches in couple spot. But still fairly comfortable.

I bought these boots because there were made in America by union labor and I being union myself I believe it is good to keep things made in America and support union that built this country.
These boots are amazing, there durable and comfortable. I’m on my feet 13-14 hours a day. Glad I bought them.

These are nice boots, great cushioning for being on your feet all day but I wish these were composite toes to reduce the weight a bit.

Iv worn redwing for as long as iv been working but i thought id give these a try because i go through about 3 sometimes 4 pair of redwing a year. I can say with absolute positivity these Thorogood are more comfortable and easily last 3 - 4 times longer than my usual redwing boots i use to buy. I will now be a Thorogood buyer untill i retire, love em!!
Nice wearing work boot
First pair of Thorogoods and they are very comfortable. I work in these boots 10 hour days in a distribution center environment and they hold up very well so far.

After just 3 weeks this happened.
The best pair of work boots I have bought. Hands down most comfortable. I had mine fitted to size. I have a hard tim getting boots in my foot. It took a while to get the boots in stock, but very much worth the wait. Not to mention the thorogood brand is like LV status in the carpenter world.
I have nothing bad to say about these boots! Super comfortable and durable in rough conditions. I’ll be buying another pair when these are trashed.
I really like these boots but had an issue with the material under the steel toe puckering towards my toes. I contacted customer support and they said to return them. It was the last pair the vendor had and they were an hour from home. I ended up using some relaxer spray on it and massaging it with my fingers until it smoothed enough to be tolerable. All good now.

They’re surprisingly comfortable straight out of the box, not a lot of break in time.
They’re narrower than I expected, and could use more toe room, and would love if they were a little bit lighter.

Great boots. Very comfortable. The one thing that I have trouble with is the tongue. It bunches up in the middle while lacing up the boots. Then I try to push the sides back. The young does not end up flat against the front of my ankle and foot. Not enough for me to stop wearing these boots.
This is my 5th pair of Thorogood moc toe boots. The 1957 model is not nearly as comfortable as my prior boots. Over a month of wear and the upper still does not feel broken in. Where the tongue meets the upper a lace hoop is there and is very agitating on the ankle.

One downer to them was that I received them with the front toe wedge a little open.

Great Comfortable boots
I’ve had these boots for a couple months. Comfy out of the box, only parts that needed broken in were the ankle area and tongue. Leave them loose for a few weeks. First day I had them...I was doing a plumbing job while standing in 4 inches of water. Boots submerged and they stayed dry and warm and fit like a glove. I love these boots, although I can no longer wear them. I was getting a horrible stabbing pain in my left heal from my boot. Took the insole out and realized that the waterproof liner was bunched and creased up under the heal. Not loose material, so it came that way from the factory and I didn’t notice the flaw. I’ve tried to remedy with cutting the material and putting other thicker insoles but still hurts me. Other than the left boot issue, these are good. If I get another pair, I will get the 8 inch version for more ankle support and more room for laces. Still kinda bummed about spending 270 bucks on awesome boots that I can’t wear

The fit isn’t quite as good as the last pair. But nothing to really complain about.
These boots are extremely comfortable when broken in, so don’t be discouraged if they aren’t very comfortable the first week or two. I ended up buying a spray for leather softening that accelerated the process. After that it was like walking on clouds. I have never wore anything other then Thorogood boots and that is for great reason.

Ive been a red wing customer since 1979. Thats when redwings were American made. The last 3 pair I bought were made in Vietnam. It was time to go shopping for American made boots. I did extensive research and talked to people on the job. (comfortable boots are important). Thorogood boots came up with top reviews while doing research and on the job site. So I bought a pair, they had a short break in period then became the most comfortable boots Ive ever worked in, the leather is strong but soft, they have a nice liner, and the sole and insole are great. The steel toe is wide enough for my toes(this was a big concern, I have wide feet). I wish I would have done this a long time ago.

Dont lace them up all the way. The tongue will hurt you ankle. Very comfortable once you break them in but the sole separated after 3 weeks of having them. They are very expensive to have this happen. I am a shipbuilding and depend on my boots everyday. I am very disappointed with the sole separation but had to glue it and keep rolling.

Second pair of Thorogoods. Look nice but tongue bites pretty hard into my ankles. Also slight imperfection in the toe where it connects to the sole but they assured me it wont affect the water resistance or life of boot.

Great looking and comfortable boot. The first pair I ordered were defective, the waterproof lining was bunching up in front of my toes right out of the box. Once I received a replacement pair I didnt want to take them off. Ive since been wearing them everyday, even outside of work. High quality and great looks. Im going to order a non waterproof pair for the hotter months.

First pair of thorogood boots. Will say they are very comfortable. While having a very solid feeling under your feet. Not squishy or soft. But still very comfortable. Did have some break in where the tongue folds near the ankle. Did take a few days for that area to break in. But a few days of wearing at home and at work they have felt alot better
