The Yukon Extremes Full Swing Insulated Coat features:
Sent this to my son for his birthday and he was really happy with the coat. He says it is extremely warm and he lives on the ocean and winter gets very very cold. He said it's not bulky at all. Best gift to give someone.
Carhartt can you make the hood with Burnt Olive color so we can buy it separately please?<br />Really need to attach the hood!
I am not a cold-weather person, and I often had to layer my previous winter coat with a hoodie (usually a Carhartt). But, this one? It's kept me warm in below freezing Michigan weather the past week - without having to layer under it. The Cordura material is nice, it seems rugged like the duck material but without being overly stiff. I definitely recommend this
Very good and warm

Great Jacket! The tag on the inside says it best, All the warmth without the bulk. This is light weight, it's good looking and its definitely warm! It fits well and gives good range of motion with your arms, and true to the Carhartt standard, you can easily layer one of their nice thick hoodies underneath this. Very happy with this coat, Job well done Carhartt!
It’s very cozy!!!
Received his jacket a few days ago and while the Wisconsin weather hasn't gotten nasty yet, temps started to drop down to the low 30's so I figured I'd test this jacket and see how well it may serve me once old man winter starts making life miserable this winter...BUT how do you know until you've walked out in your new jacket one day and it's -15 degrees on the way to work? At 32 degrees I wore the Yukon and rode my motorcycle in to work. Most days 32 degrees or under would be too cold for me to be comfortable and I can't enjoy a motorcycle ride if I'm freezing. At 32 Degrees, I was warm, the wind never penetrated even at 50-60 mph. Now this jacket isn't a motorcycle jacket, but I'd say that if it can make a motorcycle ride in 32-degree weather a comfortable ride, I have no doubt it can help tame the subzero temps that are certain to be on the way.
Overall, I like this jacket but it was not quite as warm as I thought it should be. I live in north central AR, Ozarks, where we don't get extremely cold, but it is quite humid which makes the cold feel colder.<br />Fit is good, slightly large/loose and fabric sems to be durable.
It fits great and keeps me warm
Nice
Wish i could have gotten this coat in a 4 XLT only because it ran small
Fits great and is very warm.
I love it I would recommend it to anyone who works outside or who wants to stay warm
Good fit 6ft 225lb.
Warm and well made. I live on a horse farm and have worn it for all of my chores. Still looks great.
Great coat. My grandson loves it
Fits well. Really warm!
This coat fits me like a glove. The size chart was right on for me. There are two things that caused me to deduct one star. First the bottom of the coat does not have elastic to keep wind out. Yes it does have a draw string but I cannot pull it tight enough to keep wind out from the bottom. <br />Second, the neck is too tight. I cannot pull the zipper to the top of the coat in order to cover my neck.
it was a gift and it was perfect
A great outdoor all around coat!<br />Purchased for our grandson who will be working in the electricians union, outside in the elements.<br />Can’t have him getting cold
Very warm and durable
Great coat, very comfortable. sturdy. great zippers. great pockets
This jacket is incredibly warm, it can be warm as a stand-alone easily down to the middle teens. I would recommend this jacket.
the pockets are to high and it just doesn't fit in the arms right.
Well made; keeps me warm
Definitely provides warmth but the plastic zipper is poor quality. Not the quality product I’m use to from your company. Very disappointed. Must rate only one star as I fight the zipper every single day. My old Carhartt (30 years) old has a medal zipper that is far superior than this one.
Nice and warm and light weight
I bought this coat about two weeks ago. I am an avid Carhartt guy. Have been wearing Carhartt for 30 years. This is my first Yukon Extreme. The coat is warm, no question about that. The collar is too small. It is very tight on the back of my neck. It just doesn’t feel right. All my other coats/jackets were perfect. This one is to the point of being uncomfortable.
Unfortunately I’ll be returning the coat. The armpits are cut way too small for me. All my other carhart clothes have fit fine. Quality is very good
I purchased this for my nephew.<br />He LOVES IT!
This is an amazing coat with a cheap plastic zipper. It is light weight and warm. The zipper is trash.
I like the jacket for its fit, warmth and function. Two things I don't like are the color, it's not even close to the color you advertise in your pictures. I like the tan color your pictures depict not the green of the actual jacket. The second thing is the jacket has snaps for a hood but you don't have a hood for it.
Great comfortable jacket!
I love the coat. Light yet warm. The wind doesn't penetrate. However, I don't have any hidden snaps for the optional hood I want to get. Was this a quality flaw that got through? Other than that I like the coat.
Wow great jacket, I’m 6 1” 220# and got XL, fit is great. Tested it in Fairbanks -10f and it was very warm. Love the quality. Only one problem wanted and optional hood but can’t seem to find one in Burnt Olive. Might have to settle for Black hood ugh.
Great coat shud have a hood
This is my 2nd winter with my Carharrt Yukon Extremes Full Swing Coat. I am 5'8", 223 lbs
I am 5‘8“ with a 40 inch chest and weigh 175 pounds. I normally wear small and knowing that Carhartt jackets make little bit bigger than the actually size per my previous experiences with other Carhartt jackets that I had bought from the past. Unfortunately, this coat with a size small that no longer fit me well and came from same company !! it was little too tight at the shoulder waist. Go figure I guess !! So I am a little disappointed, contacted customer service and the charged me shipping cost and the Medium wasn't available neither black colour, they wouldn't exchange me other one to keep customer happy.....
Outstanding coat. Owned for 3 months……. It does what is says, and what it does best is Blocks Severe Fast Cold Wind like nobody’s business. It’s Heavy in weight due to the tough quality long lasting materials. Love all the front zipper pockets, as it gives me a piece of mind my belongings will Never fall out. Front hand pockets are Hugh and have a nice large opening allowing me to use them with my extreme Carhart Gloves comfortably they are also fleece lined to keep your hands warm if you forget your gloves behind. Smooth interior coat lining makes it a breeze taking on and off. Love the 3m reflector location on front and back for outdoor day or night time visibility when dealing with oncoming car traffic. This jacket stores a lot of EDC gear while keeping all of your carry items very organized. Product runs big in size…so consider going down 1 size when buying. I am 6ft 250lbs and the XL fits soooooo perfectly….I tried a XXL and it was sooooo big, XXL I RECOMMEND FOR SOMEONE 280LBS-320Lbs in that 6 foot range.
It's just a Badass coat. Love it. O yea it's a Carhartt.
This is my "go to" jacket when the temperature drops and the snow falls. Thoughtfully designed with plenty of pockets, including deep side pockets to ensure that items don't fall out. The "full swing" feature makes this jacket a must have as there are few things as upsetting as the feeling that you're wearing a straight jacket. Plenty of room for a thermal shirt underneath without effecting arm and shoulder movement. The zipper is strong and secure for a work jacket. Sized for a man's hand. Although it doesn't come with a hood, Carhartt does have one available as an option and in my opinion, it should have been included based on the cost of the jacket. I've had many Carhartt coats and jackets over my working career and this stands out among the best.
I am 5‘11“ with a 40 inch chest and weigh 165 pounds. I’ve purchased two other jackets, size medium, and they fit well. Unfortunately, this coat, also a size medium, did not fit and was too tight at the shoulder holes. It felt like I had two lumps under my arms and simply could not wear it even with just a T-shirt. The rest of it was just fine so I am a little disappointed.
Thin, but very warm. Wear in under 50 F temperatures. Big front pockets, but the openings are a little high. Does not come with a hood. Wrist opening is sealed by elastic fabric.
Very nice coat….just what I wanted
Nice warm coat. Good into the 20s with a thin hoodie as a layer. Size was perfect.
I neddeds sending jdhdhdy dndm,,,, dddjej suyygs us. Us jjjm just. Sjmmmms. Mmkssm .
Awesome jacket and very warm. thank you !
Warm coat for Chicago weather.
Wonderful jacket, warm and durable.
Very warm and roomy for snowboarding.
Sturdy Coat, well worth the money.
Looks great , Fits great
best coat on the market, fit and warmth are by far the best I've ever worn. I live in the cold climate and this is prefect for the deep freeze weather its on the lake ice fishing of snowblowing the drive way, it keeps me toasty warm and dry!! I cant imagine there is a more suited jacket out there!!
I'm not sure what adult model you use, but this coat doesn't fit anyone I know. The blue collar people that buy these coats aren't 6 foot 2 and 130 pounds with no muscles. We have big shoulders and short arms. I'm sending the two I bought, never to purchase carhartt again.
Warmest coat ive ever owned. I bought the coat orginally for doing house chores during the winter but ive made this my go to coat for everyday wear. Its comfy, and not very bulky like you would expect from a heavy coat. No need for layers with this coat, all you need is a t shirt.
I returned them both to big
The warmest Carhartt jacket I've owned. Almost too nice looking to work in!
I don't understand how this can be labeled "Yukon"... This coat is not warm at all. I picked it up anticipating warmth yet got cold stepping outside for 10 mins with a hoodie under it (roughly 35°)<br />As a lineman who works outside in the North East I can say this isn't even close to cutting it.<br /><br />Also, $40 to buy a hood to go with it??? Get real. Carhartt needs to step it up.
Just received this coat in the mail. I was very excited about it as I need a very durable coat for the cold Alberta Winters. I ordered a large, which is the same size that I have in all my other coats including Carharrt. Once I put the coat on, I was shocked how tight the arms were. I am not able to wear this coat with any layering underneath. I am very disappointed in this jacket. It even states “ Loose fit “ on the tag. Be very careful of your size, especially if you plan to layer.
It has been fantastic so far. I can’t say enough about it.
Great coat!
I like this coat, but, the sleeve’s are long and the zipper is hard to zip , I’m 170 lbs and 5’6” and I have a medium, it fits good except sleeves too long .I’m just worried the zipper will not last
Best coat I ever purchased
Didn’t really like the double zipper it had idk what would be the reason for that other then that loving all my new carhartt I’ve been buying
Out standing.
OK, at first I ordered a 3 XL tall, because I like to make sure my kidney area stays nice, and warm, it was a bit tight, and hard to zipper, so I knew after washing it, it would be too small. So I packed it up and sent it back to Carhart (Free Returns - Nice). So I ordered a 4 XL regular, (no 4 XL in tall), and it fits great, and being bigger means it's longer, and covers my butt ??.<br /> It has plenty of nice deep pockets, and a good heavy double zipper. I did wash it, and it only shrank a tiny bit, the shell does stay stiff, and kind of noisy, but only noisy if you were trying to sneak up on game, otherwise OK. Oh I live in Northern WI., would I sit in a tree stand or blind not moving all day in 30 degree weather - yes, and it should be plenty warm when it gets colder, as long as your doing something now
Great coat
Please make the optional hood in matching Burnt Olive. A lot of people would buy this if it was available. <br />Many useful pockets. Very warm. Retains heat well. Wrist elastic is a great idea; keeps warmth inside the jacket. Great material. Will repel water and break the wind nicely. Smart reflective additions for working in the dark. Overall very happy (just need a hood).
liked function<br /><br />wished more color selection
I, bought "L" size. L- size chest chart 42-44 inches on it's display, and mine is 42.5. So, all around sizing was perfect, but under my shoulders was super tide to cutting degree. I had to return it.
I took a tighter fitting jacket and with all the extension areas on the elbows and back i have no restrictions in moovement. This is my new favorite jacket!
I took a tighter fitting jacket and with all the extension areas on the elbows and back i have no restrictions in moovement. This is my new favorite jacket!
This jacket is the GOAT. It breathes well but the warmth can build. <br />Tough as nails but you can’t sneak up on anything... reminds me of corduroy...
Having a little trouble with the double zipper but otherwise it’s great. Very warm and water proof
Great coat durable, functionality great, quality not so great cheap zipper ( sticks) And it could use better lining at -20 with -40 below wind chills it's not as warm as my 7 year old carhartt I wear them till there is nothing left see my pic's now this is a coat.
Excellent!!
Great, warm, and heavy-duty!
Great Coat! Warm, comfortable and easy to move around in. The only down side to this coat is the exterior pockets are not zippered and you have to order the hood separately. If you’re get this type of coat, you most likely want it to be hooded with the option of removing it.
Fits great and is very warm.
Blocks wind, it's warm but not too bulky.
Great product, a little bigger in the waist area than expected but it’s an amazing coat
This jacket description is very accurate. It is exactly what I wanted.
It’s great, well made and very comfortable. Warm and easy to move around in. I would recommend it.
Great coat... very warm for the cold Colorado winters.
Can't go wrong with a Carhartt! Exceptional quality. If you have to be out in the cold this is the jacket that you want to be wearing.
I love this coat. It fit well, it’s warm, made well. If you need a warm coat, this is the one, especially with the full swing construction
Great looking and love the reflectors for cold weather biking, fit is perfect to size.
Excellent jacket!
ITEM WAS GREAT I WAS ABEL TO GO OUTSIDE WITHOUT GLOVES I KEPR HANDS IN FRONT POCKETS AND THEY KEPT MY HANDS WARM
I live, am outdoors, and snowmobile in Upper Michigan. This Jacket provides me with the same if not Superior protection from sub zero conditions, that all the named brand snowmobile clothing does, but at about 1/2 the cost. A very good choice for me.
Good coat , got it just in time for winter snow storms, did very well under extreme conditions, good job for a good coat
Great jacket. The zipper is a little stubborn until you break it in
Great product. Very pleased
Very good like the big front pocket
I got this jacket for working in camping/backpacking in the winter in Utah. With only a thermal base layer I was decently warm with 15-20 degree low. Due to the nature of my work, this jacket gets a lot of abuse. Tree branches, thorns, etc. A kid tried to bite me, and I came out uninjured due to this ruged armour. Only thing that I would say could be better is that I wish the hand pockets had zippers instead of snap buttons
This is a coat I really want to like, I’ve had a previous Yukon coat which I had loved and I was really looking forward to this one. The coat is made well and looks nice but the previous coat was very similar to the attic quilt lined coat and in my opinion pretty much perfect.<br />I wear a large tall and with this coat the body of it is very long. Pretty much too long although the sleeve length is right on. The drop tail makes the coat look even longer too and the full swing articulation is nice but the sleeve area that meets the body of the coat is too small and I find my armpits irritated by it. As has been pointed out in at least one other review, the pockets on the coat are much too high on it and I also don’t care for the elastic synch at the bottom of the coat. As a positive, the material of this coat is not as stiff as the previous iteration but I don’t think this is the coat I had been looking for. Carhartt made this coat well and it looks like it will last a long time but I would have preferred a update to the Yukon coat closer in spec to the models of the past.
I'm very picky about functionality, tailoring, and usability. This is one of the best jackets I have that blends those topics. It's mildly classy, not full work, but has the pockets, fit, right amount of down and warmth without the fluff, so the flexibility is there. Plus the cuffs with the inner wrist band and tail cut are just great. Same with the corduroy collar.
I've been in Glacier Park Montana for the past week. Just in time for this cold snap. 0 degrees was the high. 23 below at night.<br />Force heavyweight base layers. Microfleece on top of that. And this coat was all I needed. SUPER warm. Variety of pockets for quick easy access to phone, map, gloves, etc. Unbelievable range of motion. I'm a big guy. 6'1". 265. Always difficult for me to move around in other heavy coats. This one allows me to reach overhead and across my body with no problems<br />No rain but light snow ALL DAY. Moisture repellent so it was easy to shake off and keep movin.<br />My favorite features; the zipper closure/flap and cuffs. I haven't felt a single cold air draft against my midline or up my sleeves.<br />My least favorite; the corduroy collar. It's soft. But not comfy as I like. Used a fleece neck gaiter anyway.<br />Bronze color is much more like OD green. But I love it.<br />Button snaps are easy to use but also very sturdy.<br />Cordura nylon is tough but flexible. I scraped through a bunch of tree branches and didn't snag or even leave a scratch.<br />10/10
Nice jacket. I wear it on my motorcycle. Wind proof. Seems small through shoulders but it does not restrict movement.
I am enjoying this coat. The slide-in part of the zipper is extremely "stiff" but it seems to be getting better.
I owned one of the original extremes jackets that was a XXLT. That jacket was an amazing fit except my stomach has gotten a little bigger. So when I ordered this new jacket I went with a XXXLT. The body of the jacket had more than enough room. way more than I would have expected going up by 1 size. Sadly I could barely fit my arms through the sleeves and that was with only wearing a t-shirt. I don't know how many people wear a XXXL jacket that have tiny arms, but its not me. The arms / shoulders do not match the sizing on the rest of the jacket.
I love how this coat is very warm while still very comfortable, easy to move in and with. Carhartt's customer service has been great to work with, too.
I can’t believe I spent 230 on a carhartt and I got a plastic zipper , brutal
Good product and Quality
I really want to like this jacket but I’ve had to return 3 of them the quality control is awful, 2 of them the zippers wouldn’t function properly 2 I had an awful time getting the zipper started and the to take it off it always got stuck at the bottom. Another issue on the black coat, apparently the only option if you want the optional hood. The snaps on the hood don’t line up. You can snap them but then it wrinkles the collar to the point it’s uncomfortable. Great idea, seems exactly durable, extra poor execution and customization service.
I have had the old Arctic version coveralls for many years and absolutely love it. So when I needed a jacket I turned to Carhartt. The reason I am only giving the jacket 3 stars is due to two factors. First off, Carhartt has started using nylon zippers instead of the much heavier duty, longer lasting steel zippers that they used to use. Second, my coveralls were available in "short" cut so it fits me perfectly. The Yukon jacket was only available in regular and tall. A small does not fit me in the shoulders so I went with the medium. The medium's sleeves and overall all length are much too long for me. Other than those two issues, it is a nice jacket.
Just absolutely love it
I always had a Carhartt jacket through the years. The duck canvas always had a couple drawbacks. When you first had it new, you felt like the tinman it was soo stiff, after it is broken in, it looks kind of shabby after awhile. Still a great coat. This looks great, feels great, and us extremely warm, waterproof and windproof. It's arguably the best jacket I ever purchased.
It is warmer than the first jacket I bought. Last time I looked at this coat, which was a while ago, the coat was puffy. I still wear a sweater under it, I don't like winter cold, but I like it over all.
Fantastic coat<br />Good quality and thoughtfully designed <br />Looks like it should last a long time
Little noisy for hunting but overall excellent product
I am a little disappointed with the zipper. Very difficult to get started zipping up. Once it is going it is fine, but tough at the bottom of the coat. Otherwise, coat is warm and fits well.
I’m from Michigan and have been wearing Carhartt gear for more than 30 years. This jacket, like the rest has exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend
Winter coat nice and warm!
Great coat
Nice fit not heavy durable and warm.Have not had it long but so far very happy.
I am 6'1" and ordered a size L. It fit great in the body, but the sleeves were too short and it was very tight under the arms. I ordered a second one is a size L Tall. The sleeves fit better, but it was still very tight (tighter than the first in fact) under the arms. I have tried an XL is it is way too big in the body. This one just doesn't work for me. Very disappointed.
This coat is warm, flexible, and can take some abuse. I recommend it.
Love my coat. Very warm
Bought the jacket for my husband when working on the farm. Durable. Very warm. Easy to move in. My only complaint is the zipper. A struggle to zip up. Afraid it’s going to break. He’s been closing the jacket with the Velcro tabs when he’s in a hurry and can’t get the zipper to work.
Great coat very warm just what I need for the balmy Maine winters
Excellent, super warm highly recommended
For a 220 pound guy standing 6 foot 1 inch tall athletic build, I fit normal sizes very well. This coat in an xl had sleeves 2 inches to short and the chest fit like a 2 or 3 xl. Very off on size and very very stiff. Would never recommend.
This is the best coat, it is warm and functional in any type of work or paly.
40.00 FOR A HOOD THAT POPS OFF EVERYTIME i SNAPP ALL 4 SNAPS<br />OTHERWISE NICE JACKET. WARM
Great jacket - durable
I work a ranch in Wyoming and needed a warm coat but with fabric durable enough for coming up against field fencing. ALSO I ride a dirt bike around the land on the ranch and needed the coat to be flexible, warm, and have the 'tail' not catch on the bike seat. This is my new favourite coat!
Excellent and well-constructed coat; warmest coat that I've ever owned!<br />I am 5ft. 11in. tall and 185 lbs. and size large fits extremely well and<br />still has room over layer such as sweaters, hoodies, etc.<br />I would definitely recommend this coat for it's excellent quality and<br />great fit!
This is a very warm heavy duty and durable jacket , with a stylish look. This jacket does not scream work jacket when you wear it . Nice reflective strips are a good feature because I chose black.
Very warm but lightweight. Only wish the zipper was metal.
Coat was what I wanted, except for one fit, ordered an XL Tall. Fit great in arm length, body length, chest, etc, and freedom of movement was good. But, for some reason the armpit seem was tight up into the arm pit. I’m 6’5” and everything was the right size expect the underarm. No way I could wear a sweatshirt and the coat at the same time, my t-shirt sleeves bunched up in the armpit. It’s like they increase the length, but missed adjusting that proportion. Ordered a XXL Tall hoping it’s not too big as the XL fit great otherwise. Hope they fix that in the design, read a similar experience on another retailers site, so not just me.
Great Coat very warmly and let you work outside...
loved the coat, great construction, many pockets, good looking. had to return, sleeves are at least 2 inches too long, and cut too small in armpit area, no room and fabric binding under arm area. I would be happy to re purchase if these problems could be fixed. Does the company test their own gear?
Only had for a month so far. But seems to be nice a warm. Only two minor things I don't like about it.<br />1. The pockets on the front are set to high. They should be moved down an inch or two. Feels like my arms are in an unnatural position when I put them in pockets.<br />2. Could have came with a hood for the price.
I expected this jacket to be much more restrictive given how warm it is. Compared to previous jackets I’ve owned in this category, it is by far the best. The craftsmanship seems well above standard and I expect it to last for years to come.
Had multiple people checking out the coat saying they were going to order one too.
After lots of research on coats for my husband we decided to try this Carharrt, he is so hard on all of his stuff and I really wanted something durable. As soon as he put the coat on he was impressed by the mobility and warmth. Great coat would purchase many times over!
Way too big, sent back.
Great coat! My husband loves it.
My coat is warm, sturdy, stylish and a all round good coat. Carhartt is one of my favorite companies, just good quality clothing.
I love it, I bought it for myself, I get so cold all the time
First class! Plenty of room to move—no scrimping on fabric.
Best Jaket for cold days and nights. Kept me warm in the Colorado rookies.
great coat, just what i expected, very warm, tough feeling, ease of movement doesn’t bind, plan to wear it snow skiing
The coats runs a tad bit small for Carhartt, but for new buyers I guess that they can be seen as true to size.
I'm 6'5 305lbs and always struggle to find clothing with long enough arms and broad enough shoulders. I just received the 3xl tall in Burnt Olive and this thing has plenty of room. To be honest I probably could have sized down to a 2xl tall but I like the extra room for layering. I put on my carhartt sherpa lined vest under this jacket and it layered just right. BTW, this color photographs lighter than what it really is . It is a darker better looking green in real life. I don't have any durability review as I just received it, but it sure feels tough.
Overall good quality and fit. Would recommend for anyone looking for heavy duty, well made winter coat
Size: Large, Color: Black. <br />For comparison, my last Carhartt was the C003 style, also in Large. Got this Yukon Full Swing to replace it figuring the Cordura fabric would hold up better. Reason this is getting 3 stars is that although the fit is mostly the same as my old Carhartt (chest and waist width and arm length are all good) and build quality otherwise appears to live up to Carhartt's history, the fabric cut in the shoulders and arm is tighter than the C003 coat. The shoulder is boxy and has less slope between the collar and sleeve. The shoulder width looks the same, but with less slope there is less fabric making it feel tighter there. The gusseted armpits are a great idea, but the opening where the sleeve meets the coat body looks to be the nearly the same pattern as the C003, so the gusset tightens the sleeve opening by about 1 inch and pulls at sleeves of under layers whereas the C003 cut in the same size never does this for me. Lastly, there is only a bottom snow cuff drawstring and no waist drawstring on the inside, so going for a size up hoping to correct just the sleeve I cannot tighten the bigger waist. The full swing cut in the back of the shoulders helps counteract the shoulder fit a little, but not enough in my opinion and does nothing about the cut of the armpit gussets. So if you have trapezius and bicep muscles, be weary. Otherwise I like the rest of the features - good inner and outer pockets, Carhartt made it slightly longer in back for bending, added the snow cuff drawstring and reflective strips, same elastic wrist cuffs, etc.
For my son for Christmas. He loves it!
My husband loved his early Christmas gift.
I bought this coat for my husband who works outside. He loves it. I recommend it. It is a nice dark color so the dirt doesn't show. It was a little stiff out of the box but the more he wears it the softer it gets.
Stylish jacket for a work coat.however the arm holes are really tight. Feels like they are digging into your arm pit. Wanted to and a hood but found out there is no matching hood for this jacket. Seems like a big oversight. For a $200 jacket I’d prefer not to have a mismatched jacket hood.
Great coat! Keeps me warm and like they say, full swing. Able to move around. Plus, it is a durable coat.
Great jacket! would recommend!
The coat suits me perfectly.
Jacket looked great. Very loose around waist, needs a cinch cord around waist as with other Carhartt jackets, as a result Jacket was not warm a all.
can't find anything to complain abt
warmest jacket I own. Definitely withstands the elements. I would recommend
I had the parka with the attached hat. I kid of wished the hat was detattachable so went ahead to get the full swing without the hood. Love it.
Love the coat very warm in ny winters however my 3rd time wearing it the zipper broke. I believe for the cost of the yukon extremes it should have nice metal zippers and not cheap plastic ones.
I cannot remember how many winters my husband has had this coat. Our order history only goes back 3 years, and I think he has used this coat 4-5 winters. This is the first year that I have had to do maintenance on the coat. The seams on both sleeves and the sides are coming out. This is an awesome coat and has kept him very warm on our farm. We are pretty happy that it has taken this long to start to wear down. He wears this coat 7 days a week, 10-12 hrs a day, from November to April, for the past 4 if not 5 years. I would say the durability and quality of this coat is pretty awesome!
It’s the same durability. It’s warm as expected to be. But it has a stylish look to it that makes it look designer meets tough. And the long break in period getting the stiffness out. For get it. This jacket doesn’t need it. ?? loving my Carhartts
Fit is good and warm for cold winters
The warmest and most durable coat i've ever worn.
My husband loves his new winter coat! Keeps him warm in the morning feeding our animals! Love that it sheds water so well and also it’s not a heavy coat!
Great fit. Cant wait for the cold weather to test it out.
This is one of the best cold weather coats from Carhartt. I got this because it seemed like a warm version of the Shoreline which I also own. Just one flaw. I wanted to purchase the hood, but it only comes in BLACK!!! Seriously no burnt olive hoods Carhartt? Come on!
Seems nice, heavy and warm but it hasn't been cold enough to test.
The last Carhart winter ling full length suit still fits and works well for the past 25 Chicago winters. That’s right I bought it in 1995.
Great look, fit, quality, warmth!!!!
Excellent., my husband loves it said it is very warm he wished it had a hat !
I ordered this for my brother as a gift. I originally ordered an XL because of all the different reviews saying that it runs too large. He's normally a 2XL and just over 6 feet tall and aprox 240lbs. The coat fit him perfectly but it didn't leave any room for layers that's needed for cold winters in Chicago. When he lifted his arms up, a small area of his stomach was exposed. The sleeve length was good. I had no problems returning it and re-ordering a 2XL Tall. New size is so much better! Only the sleeves were a couple inches too long but now has room for a hoodie underneath and his stomach isn't exposed to the harsh elements outdoors. It was also a little heavier in weight than the XL but nothing a big guy like my brother can't handle. My suggestion is to order your real actual size if you plan on wearing layers underneath. If you work in milder or warmer conditions, you can order a second coat that's a size down. It will still have a comfortable fit but definitely no extra room for layers. The look and quality of Carhartt is so much better, nicer and professional than his previous work gear. I can't really rate the durability yet as it's too soon to tell. However, you can instantly tell it's well made and material is high quality. The double zipper at the bottom is a little tricky but easily figured out. It is made of a hard durable looking plastic instead of metal so in time we'll see how that holds up. It would of been nice if it came with the attachable hood. It doesn't even give you that option when ordering online as a set. Just be mindful, that it does need to be ordered separately and be careful to order the right hood that goes with it as there are different hoods according to the model #, style, color and size of the coat. Overall, we are extremely happy so far.
Perfect for Midwestern winters
Best work jacket I have ever had, comfortable and durable
Seems very warm. Flexible and easy to move in.
Absolutely a fabulous coat ! Fits great and it’s terrific in wind and rain not to mention warm. Have been wearing north face for years and this superior in quality not to mention a fraction of the cost. Likely to buy another to trade off.
One of the better winter coats I've owned. Highly recommend.
Seems to be very well made fits like should, materials seem very durable!! Nice Jacket!!
Light weight but very warm. Fits very well. Plenty of roomy pockets. I like it! P
Best winter coat I've bought in many winter seasons, I love it .
Fits way too big
It is nice and warm!
Always great clothes! I don’t use this one for work…looks great as an everyday coat.
First the usual, Fit is about normal for me 175 pounds <br />5 11 tall. Medium is perfect. Ordered by phone from the US to ship to Canada. Great customer service and fast shipping. Very well put together typical Carhartt product. Advertised as the warmest Carhartt has for this type of jacket, but I would have to say, its a bit of a let down here. Insulated for sure, but the thinsulate is exactly that. Thin. Very thin. Second, the zipper is a plastic clone of the metal one used in the last version of this jacket. It seems heavy duty but time will tell how it will hold up. The collar is way better than the last version of this coat, but come on Carharrt, if this is an 'Extreme' coat made for harsh weather, would another inch height hurt? And maybe a bit of pile or fleece instead of the corduroy? As far as warmth, I was on an atv for several hours, at around 30 degrees. A bit of fog rolled in, so icy rain followed. Stayed dry for sure and the ice that froze on, fell off without issue. That said, even with two wool layers under the coat, I would say it was close to its limit for warmth. As far as wearing this when its sub zero, be prepared to layer up further. So overall good quality and I am happy but it could use a few touch ups for the next version to make it perfect. <br />Dear Mr. Carharrt. Sign me up if you need a tester of your next version!
run bigger then size. large is like a XL. shipping was very slow, got 2 orders in mail made a week later then coat order.
Really nicely made. Love the green color. Warm w/o being overly bulky. Should be great for skiing!
I thought the coats would be more khaki colored. They are more army green. As long as they are warm then the color will not matter.
I’m very pleased with the coat. I have been wearing only the Carharrt Artic coats for more then forty years and wanted to try something different. I really like the wear durability of the Cordura. and the less bulk of the 3M Thin-insulate. The coat has many thoughtful details throughout , which make it a really great coat!
This jacket is extremely sharp, warm and guaranteed to turn heads. It screams professional and I would recommend it to anyone who takes Image, Warmth and Durability serious.
Purchased this in black At your buffalo ny area store. Well made, warm functional pockets. I’m 5’9” 170. Medium is perfect with some room for layers of ever needed. Might get the hood
Nice looking jacket I can’t wait for it to get cold
So far so good, can't wait for the colder weather to get here!
Easily the warmest jacket i’ve ever had. I spent a few days debating on what jacket to purchase for winters here in Alaska and I ended up going straight back to this one. For me it was a mixture of Carhartt quality and that the jacket actually looks pretty good and looking decent was my second requirement. I purchased the black one in XL and am very happy with my decision.
Great Jacket ?? love the fit and it’s warm!
Very well put together jacket warm
Love this coat! Replacement for my 6 year old Carhartt Extreme coat. Liking this style over my old one!
Tough, warm, stylish, comfortable. I would’ve paid double and still been happy.
Good Product
Sent this to my son for his birthday and he was really happy with the coat. He says it is extremely warm and he lives on the ocean and winter gets very very cold. He said it's not bulky at all. Best gift to give someone.
