Had read that they tended to be too small. Loved the colour, but because of the fleece, it doesn't stretch to fit your head. I have a relatively small head, so I was shocked to find it small and that it slipped up and off my head every time. I almost returned it but decided in the end just to clip the seam joining the ends of the fleece. Now it fits perfectly.

This is a great hat in that it stays securely on your head and doesn’t slip down when you are active. It is super warm. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that the style is very hipster (bulkier at top) which I have decided doesn’t look good on me. Nevertheless it’s a good hat.

The ball on top from the moment I opened it, was a bobble head. It looked funny and I haven’t put it on my head since. I love carhart and was excited because purple is my favorite color. I have many beanies that have the ball on top and they stay put in the center.

I wanted to love this hat but it has an awkward fit- it's too long such that it creates a baggy, boxy top and is too small around (or my head is too big) that it gave me a headache to wear. Also, the fleece is only only a ring around the interior vs lining the entire hat. Would not recommend.

I received my hat and within 1 WEEK the Pom Pom on top fell off! I ordered this to Canada and paid the exchange and outrageous shipping costs and it fell off!!
A little tight at first, but it's starting to loosen up fit comfortably. Love that just the cuff is fleece lined, it keeps my ears nice and toasty.
I love this beanie, it is nice and warm and is far cuter than most of the other beanies I own! But...DO NOT DRY IT. I washed it several times and let it air dry, but was in a hurry one day and tossed it into the dryer with the rest of the clothes on a lower heat setting. It didn't even dry completely, but the soft, stringy fuzz on the ball shriveled up into wiry and rough strands that are drawn up tight against the ball and they are no longer soft like they once were. It's still cute, but I miss the way it looked before, lol.
I love this hat because it's tastefully adorable, and it's actually functional for when you're standing at the very top of a mountain chopping firewood at the log cabin with 25 mph wind chills in the negatives. The fleece lining is built inside that matches the width of the folded area of the hat, and I appreciate that so my ears stay warm while the heat from being a mountain woman splitting her own firewood escapes through the knitted top of the hat. I haven't washed it so I can’t vouch for how it will hold up afterwards, but so far so good
I bought this hat because I lost my favorite fleece-lined hat. This one is fine. It's cute and pretty warm. Shipping was fast and customer service was excellent. I took off two stars because I was under the impression that the entire hat is fleece lined when actually it's only the cuff. It keeps my ears well insulated, but leaves the top of my head cold. While I would prefer not to lose this one, I won't be crushed if I do.

This hat offers the best warmth for Wisconsin winters. I wear it on longer hikes and xc skiing and it is perfect. Keeps me warm no matter how long I am outside. I bought the light pink and it is super cute on. Next year I may look for it in other colors.

I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life and with my ears are super sensitive to the cold, I wear a beanie nearly every day. My previous hat with the poof accidentally went in the dryer, which ruined the poof. I purchased this one, mostly to keep my husband from stealing it, and I WOW. <br /><br />It’s very thick, around the ears and holds heat in like no other. Probably too warm even for every day wear! My husband might even steal this one despite the poof. Not sure yet how it will hold up to snow / water resistance but I am about to buy another one just to have a variety of color.

Love the style and look the inside has a section of fleece that will keep the ears warm. The hat itself is tight and uncomfortable on the head. If you don’t mind a tight fitting hat you will be happy. If you like a loose fitting hat you won’t like this one.

I would’ve given this a 5 stars, but the color is sorta— well—- odd. It’s a quality Carhart hat, but it is a gray-green color. Not exactly like the picture. But it would be hard to capture this true color in a picture. If you like grey/green this is the hat for you. If you were wanting more forest or more gray (like I did) it isn’t.

Very nice and warm hat. I anticipated that it would be fully fleece lined and was supposed to see that when it arrived only the first 3-4 inches was lined. This had no impact on the warmth of the hat. I was outside for more than an hour in 30 degree weather and my head stayed completely warm. I received compliments on it while wearing. Taking partial points off because the seams on the side of the hat make it stick out weird, but I will tack them so they stay down.

I was disappointed that only the first 3 inches are fleece-lined. This leaves more than half of it unlined. Not what I expected for the price. I love the color and it appears to be well made.
After having this beanie for 10 days I noticed a tear/ scape in the tag. I don’t know how this happened- it must’ve been a quality issue. Very disappointed. I know Carhartt quality is better than this as I have the same beanie that endured an entire season without any issues. I want a replacement, but am too busy to go through the hassle of a return. Might just donate to those in need of hats this winter.

This hat is marketed as being fleece-lined (it's even in the name), leading one to believe that the entire lining would be fleece. However, the fleece lining does not extend throughout the entire interior of the beanie. In fact, it is only present on the lower 1/3 that wraps around the forehead. Unfortunately, this leave the top of your head without the fleece lining and only the knit outer to keep you warm. This doesn't work well in winter in ND.
