Just recieved mine. I’m having the same issue as everyone else. The crotch is literally about 6” above my knees. The torso hits my waist. But the leg length is WAY!!! Off… 220$ for something I don’t feel comfortable wearing in public .. big let down

| David S. 17-11-2022 19:12

Great product if you can find some that fit. The torso length on these is all messed up. Way too long. I'm 6'2" and weigh 260 lbs. I normally wear 44x34 pants. I followed the sizing chart and ordered a 2XLT, The crotch was almost to my knees and I had to roll the leg cuffs up over 5 inches to keep from walking on them. I pulled the coveralls up so the crotch was in the correct position and I looked like the headless horseman. The collar was above my head.

| Luke T. 16-11-2022 19:54

Unless your upper body takes up 2/3 of your total height, do not buy these. I am 5’ 10”, bought XL short, and the bottom of the crotch is practically at my knees. This is on top of the legs still being too long. I would suggest just buying bibs to be able to adjust length instead

| Micah L. 13-11-2022 17:54

Way too big. I get a medium in almost everything and the medium cover alls fit like an XL. The torso portion was the biggest problem and felt like there needed to be 8inches cut out and it would still be more like a large.

Loose Fit Washed Duck Insulated Coverall - 4 Extreme Warmth Rating
LOVE IT! Doesn’t stay cold in TEXAS for long BUT when the cold weather does hit it chills to the bone. This Carhartt coverall is exactly what I need. True to size fit chart comfortable and looks GREAT. I even use it on cold weather motorcycle riding days. Thank you CARHARTT TEAM

| Michael E. 05-11-2022 12:00

Overall good product. Definitely keeps you warm. If ordering be careful on the sizing, especially the length. I am 6 foot tall and had to order the small length and even then it’s still a tad bit big on me, but overall good product.

| Winston S. 04-11-2022 16:18

Good quality functional design.

| Ronald S. 16-10-2022 00:55

The 40 short was perfect 20 years ago. now you make the upper torso, back, section way to long. For me the crouch is almost to my knees. It is impossible to even walk with them on. I'm 5' 7" 155 lbs. The length would fit my brother at 6' 0". Please report back to me if you have corrected this flaw. I've read most of the ratings for this product and 50 % of the feed back are the same as mine. Other than this issue your product is as good as always.
Ron

| LarryS 08-09-2022 11:08

Had to replace an old pair of these. These new ones are much more flexible, hopefully just as warm but that will have to wait a few more months. Since the new ones are now S, M, L... instead of a 46 Reg...I didn't want to order online. Luckily I was on a business trip and there was a local store; the store had several sizes I could try on, but had to order the Large Short. The sizing chart seems way off. Per the chart the short is 5-3 to 5-7. I'm 5-10 and the short still has plenty of room.

| Darlene h. 22-08-2022 17:15

I Bought these for my husband he likes them they are made very well

| Eeeez 03-04-2022 09:09

6’ ft tall 150Lbs - got small size, fits great, love them, I can reach strait out but not really up when the crotch starts to grab.

| LJ 15-03-2022 05:05

These coveralls are made with very high quality materials and workmanship, but they fit very strangely. I read the reviews and thought they’d work for me since I have an older version which fit well for years before wearing out. Plus I have short legs and a long torso. But the torso on these coveralls is unusually long. I washed and dried it twice in hot hot water to try to get it to shrink, but the torso is still so long that the crotch sags half way to my knees making it very difficult to walk. Walking in the snow is hard enough. If there were belt loops it would be usable, but I simply cannot wear them and have to return them. Very disappointing. I love Carhartt and hope they come out with a different cut because judging from the reviews, others find the torso on these to be much too long. Maybe add a belt? Or cinch buttons on the side?

| Edward H. 14-03-2022 19:27

I like it.

| Jeff B. 10-03-2022 12:40

Need 2-way zippers back in the sides of the legs!
And the crotch hangs way too low.....

| Cameron B. 10-03-2022 12:06

Its awesome! Keeps me warm and comfy when its freezing!

| Lisa M. 04-03-2022 17:06

I really like the coveralls. They provide warmth and protection as I do barn chores. The only suggestion I have is to add belt loops or elastic drawstring at the waist to help prevent the coveralls from sagging.

| Chris 28-02-2022 19:17

These are great! Very warm. Imo, only to be used when it’s colder than 35 degrees, otherwise they’re way too hot.

| Scott J. 28-02-2022 03:10

Warm and comfy. Really like the fit as well as the function. Perfect for working outside in cold weather. I have tried other brands but Carhartt is my favorite brand.

| Project F. 27-02-2022 20:54

X-Large was WAY too big.

| Zemmy B. 23-02-2022 18:13

Great fit. True to size. I'm 6'3" with 38" waist and fits properly. Plenty of room at crotch to sit comfortably and not be castrating myself. Good insulation level but slightly less than 12 Over 8 Walls. Fine for anything this side of Alaska. Not sure about water repellent level on outer fabric, but not a factory claim either.

| john j. 23-02-2022 16:26

very happy with purchase///service is a little unsure of itself in reference to having or not having inventory. i will recomend product. i will also recommend you get your inventory department more organized.

| Christian F. 22-02-2022 01:52

Amazing Quality!
The size recommended is still too big.
Washed and dried several times on high heat.
I hoped washing them several times would help them shrink a bit?
I'm just disappointed they don't fit and I can't return becuz I washed them so many times

| ROBERT V. 21-02-2022 19:58

I’ve worn it a few times in cold weather here in Reno Nevada. It keeps me nice and toasty.

| Dorian K. 19-02-2022 20:51

I use this coverall almost every day. I got it so that I can work on woodworking projects in my super cold garage during the winter months (Midwest). Turns out it’s also great for shoveling/blowing snow, taking the dog out and other winter activities.

Helps keep all the wood chips and dust off my clothes underneath. Also it sits really nicely on top of my very chunky winter boots and prevents snow and debris from entering the top of the boot.

This item is very well made and keeps me warm. Fit was great: I’m 5’ 11” 190lb average build and the Medium fit me perfectly on top of clothes.

I only wish it was made in the US like Carhartt used to - I’d be happy to pay slightly more to support items Made in USA and supporting American jobs.

IMO you won’t regret getting this coverall.

| Bob B. 19-02-2022 20:45

Great in the cold weather. Suggest offering more available size ranges, such as waist and inseam options to accommodate a better fit selection. Other than that, very good product!

| Catherine P. 19-02-2022 19:17

They are the best!!

| Robert S. 18-02-2022 18:10

I like the pair much better than the pair I was using

| Bill E. 09-02-2022 23:09

Got good but to long

| John J. 09-02-2022 21:25

Very warm and durable but my size of XL short fits my waist but too long I am 5’9 230 lbs size 40 waist and 30 long and short size is still long

| Georgia S. 09-02-2022 21:18

The coveralls are great!!!

Carhartt customer service is great, too!

| CALVIN R. 09-02-2022 20:29

Was to big. Ordered another and was also to big.

| Alex K. 08-02-2022 23:30

They seems warm and well made but the torso on these things is insane. The legs fit perfectly as long as I lift the shoulders an extra 6 inches. Otherwise the crotch hangs so low it's difficult to walk.

| Jones 25-01-2022 15:38

I ordered for a family member a large regular that states a fit for 36 and someone 5'6 to 5'11. Here to tell you that being size 34 and 5'11 weighing 185 pounds the large regular were HUGE!

They were to long and would allow for 2 people to fit in them. I am returning them to size down. Other than that they are great!

| Mike M. 16-01-2022 17:06

I would like to talk to someone about this, before I submit a review

| PHILIP E. 07-01-2022 02:13

They're too long! I bought a Regular (L) and I am 5'-10". They're NOT sized properly. They are of NO USE to me. I cannot even walk in them. This does NOT correspond to the SIZE CHART on the website's order page.

| LisaG 02-01-2022 00:53

Very disappointed. Ordered a Large Tall for my 6'3 200lb son. Upper part fit perfect, but crotch was almost to his knees, and about 4 inches too long. He has owned a previous pair of LT for a few years and they fit perfect. Something has definitely changed with the manufacturer as the leg zippers also only go 1 direction now. No longer able to zip down to allow air, give additional space when sitting, or access pants pockets. Already returned and will look around to see what else is available as he needs them for outdoor work. Please bring back the original sizing and 2 way zippers.

| Shirley B. 26-12-2021 23:12

Great! However, I ordered a tall size by mistake and will have to return them, because they are too long.

| Lizzie L. 18-12-2021 21:18

I love carhartt, bought men's because I refuse to buy any other rebrand but they don't have coveralls for womens

| merle m. 18-12-2021 18:01

Excellent, these coveralls are extremely well made, very warm, love them!

| zark80 13-12-2021 13:33

Great, But too long.

| Jay B. 09-12-2021 20:54

Ordered at a store and shipped home. Super helpful and friendly employees. Got the right fit for me!

| Cody B. 07-12-2021 18:09

Good fit, great insulation, very durable! This is a great value!

| Tom Y. 07-12-2021 00:47

For forty years I have worn Carhartt insulated duck coveralls as my every day outer layer. Wore them until they wore thru or shrunk to the point that they no-longer fit. Just put on my most recent purchase today in the Montana snow. The usual good loose fit, warm, good deep pockets for my tools. The shocker was the legs now have one way zippers. No way to get to your pant pockets. You have to drop the top. Oversite? Economic move? Dump Idea!!!!!! For the first time in 40 years of wearing these coveralls I will go else where on the next run. Tom Y

| steve h. 06-12-2021 19:32

Liked the overall design

| Clarie A. 06-12-2021 18:23

Too big, even in the right size ordere3d

| David V. 04-12-2021 19:15

Legs are 4 inches longer than regular...a real problem

| J A. 03-12-2021 23:14

They are very well built. Like all the zippers and snaps. But unfortunately it hasn’t gotten cold enough to use them

| Eugene B. 01-12-2021 23:25

The only thing wrong with the coveralls is that the design was changed and you cannot access your pants pocket without completely unzipping the leg zipper. Very inconvenient. Otherwise, they're warm and that's what I needed.

| Cullen A. 01-12-2021 22:37

I've had these for about a month, they fit great, are really warm, and seem like theyll last a long time. There are a lot of complaints in the reviews about sizing, but I followed the size guide and they fit great. I'm 5'11" 185lbs and a medium reg fits.

| Wayne A. 27-11-2021 18:07

Good product but sizing is madness. I saw the other reviews and knew to order small, then I saw the model details and size. The model and I are both 6'2 and I had a chest .75 inches larger than the model who had a Medium that looked snug. So I thought perfect I'll get a large which aligns with reviews for my size. I had to send back the large for being snug with a kid weight Carhartt hoodie but leg length was perfect. Got the xl and a little roomy but great size. The leg length how ever is for someone 6'6 I would say. So I assume the leg length increases with size which makes no sense with a tall category. I roll up the legs and they stay rolled but wish Carhartt would have better sizing

| Robert B. 26-11-2021 20:09

A little bit long about 2 inches but fit's well

| Shawn B. 25-11-2021 00:44

Definitely keeps the cold wind off of you

| Laurie U. 16-11-2021 19:01

Way too loose for our purposes- returning item for different size and length

| EDWARD G. 16-11-2021 00:04

Waist too long. Crotch too low. Legs too long.

| J.R. E. 13-11-2021 20:17

Great coverall, more practical than the Yukon extreme, more mobility. Keeps you warm.

| Bill B. 07-11-2021 21:58

The Only negative is you can't adjust the leg length
Otherwise these coveralls are Awsome!

| Joe N. 07-11-2021 06:04

Perfect for outdoor work cloths during the inter months

| Brandon S. 05-11-2021 22:40

It was everything I needed. Perfect

| Connor J. 02-11-2021 19:05

Good quality coveralls

| Russ M. 28-10-2021 17:33

The Carhartt company, which is one of the biggest outdoor clothing company in the world, itself has become very disappointing ! I have tried to purchase insulated cover-alls since August and the company STILL doesn’t have the average sizes that most people wear! I had to order “ factory seconds” from another (sister) company that I was advised of from a Carhartt representative!
The sizes of the clothing is deceiving/much larger than their own size chart.
Very disappointed! Guess I’ll have to find another outdoor company to buy from!

| Timothy M. 21-10-2021 02:43

I had carhartt coveralls from the 90’s. Went to get new ones and the size was ridiculous… I got a Large Tall based on the size chart (I’m 6’1” 190.)

The crotch seemed down to my knees and the legs seemed 2’ too long! If you hold the coveralls in the air with the bottoms just touching the ground, the shoulders are several inches above the top of my head!!! Entirely ridiculous I already boxed them up but I bet if I measured exactly from the shoulders to the bottom cuffs it would be 6’5”!

I’m gonna try and order a medium regular.

| Steve B. 17-10-2021 10:56

Quality is good but Carhartt really needs to work on sizing. I take a Large and ordered the L Regular. The legs were too long and the crotch was nearly down to my knees. It would have been difficult to walk in them it was so low.

I returned the L Regular and reordered the coverall in L Short, thinking it would be a couple of inches shorter in the legs and crotch. Length was ok but the crotch was still too low. Had to return this one also.

Disappointing as I was looking for a sturdy, warm one-piece coverall for snow blowing and working outdoors this winter.

| Mike M. 05-10-2021 18:26

Quality is excellent. However the 2XL Short is extremely long in the torso. Carhartt needs to offer an extra short version!.

| SHIRLEY C. 02-05-2021 19:49

I was under the impression I was looking at a Canadian website and paying in Canadian dollars. Needless to say say I was surprised to get the credit card bill.

| Mark C. 31-03-2021 15:59

I wear my insulated onesie until it’s just too hot to. I’d sleep in it but my comforter would get jealous.

| Brian S. 27-03-2021 00:34

I like the perwash break in feel, it's very comfortable and fits me well

| Cedrick C. 24-03-2021 17:48

I'm 5'8 and incredibly slender. My shoulders aren't wide and my waist barely reaches 32 inches around. It's not uncommon for me to need a belt for most of the pants I own. People joke that when I turn sideways I disappear. I am short, thin limbed, and very willowy.

Following their sizing chart I started with a Regular [Small] and found the garment too tall. Even with the thickness of an extra layer of clothing and height added by my boots, I swam in them. I struggled to reach my pockets, which sank down to my thighs.

General movement was fine, but tasks requiring more flexibility or lots of kneeling - I snagged on myself a lot. For the price I'm paying, I wanted a better fit. So I returned them and thought I'd try the Short [Regular].

Well, I had the same issues, except now the groin hitches up even more around my thighs, and I can still barely reach my pant pockets. Short [Regular] feels sized for someone a head taller and much wider than I'll ever be, even with extra clothing on. So now I'm dealing with a lot of extra bagginess and a garment that still hangs very heavily off my shoulders.

If they made a Short [Small] then maybe I'd be in business. But they don't.

For the money I'm asked to put down for a set of these coveralls, I expect a better fit. Its a little frustrating because there are no stores near me where I could have tried on this product beforehand, but that last bit is not Carhartt's fault.

So, having tried the two smallest sizes, I just don't think a version of this product exists that won't drown me in a sea of washed duck.

Let me know if you ever make a Short [Small]. In the meantime I'll be seeking an alternative.

| Lisa P. 23-03-2021 17:40

My husband likes his overalls. He's 6'6"and these fit perfectly. These will be a great addition to his winter gear.

| DOUGLAS S. 21-03-2021 17:10

Yes, and I am going to order them for each one of my employees

| Damian R. 21-03-2021 03:32

This won't help everyone, but let me just say if you're around 5'11 to 6'2 ft tall and your weight varies between 180 to 205, Get the Large! PLENTY BIG...with jeans on, and a slim fit jacket or a fat sweater. LARGE.

| Dave S. 13-03-2021 18:16

Simply awesome! Warm, tough Carhartt product.

| Brent C. 13-03-2021 14:25

A little large but can live with that. Will probably be better after washing. What happened to sizes like 44? Does not have access to pants pockets with out unzipping either one complete leg or the front zipper. Major problem! I would not have bought had I noticed this. What happened to the double zipper on the legs? That worked well.

| Henry R. 09-03-2021 20:33

The product is super dope however the sizing chart was a bit confusing, I would advise everyone that it runs long.

| KATHRYN C. 08-03-2021 22:44

very warm, fits great, keeps me warm and dry even during snow storm when plowing/snow blowing.

| Nicholas C. 06-03-2021 01:22

I need a 1x

| James M. 05-03-2021 18:03

These will last me the test of my life. With every cent. Good job!

| Becky L. 04-03-2021 19:30

Quality of these coveralls are great but they were way too long. I am 5'10" and 220 lbs. and ordered an XL Reg. The size fit great but they were way too long. I returned and ordered a short. The return process was very easy.

| Kelly R. 03-03-2021 17:51

I bought a men’s small so that’s why it is large on me.

| airic a. 03-03-2021 17:50

great clothing

| William B. 27-02-2021 19:06

We sent them back
We order 2xl short
Got a 4xl or larger

| David D. 27-02-2021 17:57

Warm. Fits well. Great for all types of work.

| Fred E. 26-02-2021 22:38

The sizing chart is WAY WRONG. I'm 5'10" and originally ordered the regular. Had to return it and ordered a short. The short fits, but is still a bit tall for me. If you're shorter than 5'8" this will not fit you. Other than sizing issues, I love my new coveralls. My old one is 35 yrs old and looks like a rag. Nice to finally get it replaced.

| Sam M. 26-02-2021 14:14

I love the product but it’s the same ole sizing problem - I used the sizing chart and ordered a XL tall (which is what I normally wear) but it is big enough to fit a 10ft. tall giant - no kidding. So I ordered again and went large / tall - and again way too big. I gave up at this point but my wife purchased a Large / Regular and I am happy with it. The side zippers up and down the leg no longer zip down from the top so I can’t access pants pockets on my clothing inside the suit, use to / no more - bummer. I’m 6’-1” 180 lb.

| Willis T. 24-02-2021 21:26

Coverall itself is great. Unfortunately, the hood refuses to snap on! (Eventually pinned it on

| Russell C. 22-02-2021 23:26

Fits well and warm.

| James O. 22-02-2021 11:46

My driveway is 3 about 3000 feet long. Removing snow with my blower or a plow got me wet and cold. The insulated coverall keeps me warm and dry. I don't have to take a break anymore to warm up and dry off.

| Samuel R. 18-02-2021 19:17

Amazing warmth and durability from this garment. Wouldn’t be good ninja wear. Roundhouse kicks in a bar are restrictive. I kept connecting with shoulders. The torso is a bit long and legs are a bit short. I’m glad every minute I wear it that I bought it.

| Matt C. 17-02-2021 15:34

Sizes are difficult, as everyone is different. To truly make this suit a 5 overall, may I suggest adding buttons for suspenders. Upper part of suit fits great, legs a tad long for me, pulling the waistband below my hips, and bunching up the cuffs. I am going to add the buttons and suspenders to address this. Even if you just put the buttons in for the option of the user, I believe would be a great enhancement. My Cabela’ s snow suit has the full suspenders stitched in and it works great for activities and the snow mobiling we do. Just a suggestion.

| Matthew P. 17-02-2021 15:31

Love my Coveralls, I had recently sent back the full sleeve coveralls because they where to big. I ordered the large regular and I’m 208 5’ 11’’
I ended getting a R38-blk (36x32) after trying them some on. Love the quality and craftsmanship.

| JOHN C. 16-02-2021 18:18

I am 5’9” , weigh 201 #. I ordered a large per the measurement chart. Sleeves were perfect, chest and waist were fine, but the legs were 12” too long. Not even close. Had to return and will have to find a place to try on.

| Mark E. 13-02-2021 02:20

Durable and comfortable. I am 6’ 1” 185lbs and got XL Regular. Probably could have done large, but I like extra space. Legs a bit long, but no crotch binding with arms fully over head. Snaps on legs seem somewhat feeble.
To Carhartt, I suggest improving snaps (they need more positive snapping action), and I wish there was a zipper to allow pants pocket access. I would buy these again.

| Chris D. 08-02-2021 22:04

letProduct is great. Your sizing sucks as it took me 2 pairs before I got something that fit. Outlet sales person was great.

| David J. 07-02-2021 18:17

Had to send it back! The coverall is sized way too large compared to the sizing chart on the website. Going by the sizing chart, I need an XL-tall (I'm 49" chest

| JayNel B. 03-02-2021 17:54

Got them for my husband, he loves them. They are warm and comfy to work in.

| Mark F. 31-01-2021 20:49

I am six feet tall and weigh 240 lbs. I couldnt decide wether to with big and tall or regular. going by your sizing guide I decided to go with 2X regular. from the waist up fit great but they were still 6 to 8 inches to long. They were also extremely heavy for someone living in eastern North Carolina so I sent them back. I was hoping to get a pair with the red quilt lining but i have since learned from one of your associates that you no longer make them. I guess I will now take my business to Dickies.

| Charley M. 28-01-2021 19:06

Worth Every dollar, great piece of gear !

| Annette B. 27-01-2021 21:51

They came it at just the RIGHT TIME///1 The weather suddenly turned cold here in Houston and I was warm and comfy in them.

| Bob P. 25-01-2021 18:35

Extremely warm.

| Zack P. 22-01-2021 17:48

Excellent Investment. I do tree work and have stayed warm throughout the midwest winter. I am 5' 10" 170lbs and the small fits very well. It leaves plenty of room to layer up underneath without being too bulky to operate a chainsaw for hours on end. This material is very durable and has yet to show any signs of wear throughout the season. They are a bit pricey but worth it. I haven't had an issue with any of the various zippers like other branded coveralls I've had.

| John G. 22-01-2021 16:10

The fit is good and the quality is what I have come to expect from cathartic.

| Popeye 19-01-2021 14:29

As others have said sizing isnt great.
I believe a great addition to these would be a belt of sorts sewn into the inside, elastic or rigid, but something adjustable to keep it from falling from my hips that I could tighten after its already on me. I am having my mother sew one in for me.

Otherwise works well, keeps me warm and all the dirt off my street clothes when doing outdoor/garage work.

My hubby won't take them off! Lol We live on a mountain at 9,000 ft. Best Christmas gift I have ever gotten for him!

| Sharon J. 17-01-2021 23:17

Way too big

| Angel S. 16-01-2021 18:29

Excellent comfort

My son loves his coveralls! Wears a light layer underneath and has been comfortably warm for outside work. Had to return to get the correct fit, but a L is perfect for him. 6’2, 230. Trust the sizing chart!!

| Richard A. 11-01-2021 17:33

I've worn Carhartt coveralls for decades; my last pair lasted 8 years of 9-month use. They're built to last although in the last two pairs I've had; the front zippers disintegrated on both of them. This pair I expect to last. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that Carhartt has finally succumbed to whatever reason caused them to eliminate the double zipper on the sides of the pants. Now if I have to adjust my inside parker or get something into or out of my pants pockets I have to unzip the front and struggle to get into my pockets. That double zipper was the most convenient zipper on earth and they eliminated it.

| Susan N. 09-01-2021 19:51

The coverall were too big. I sent them back.

| David H. 08-01-2021 17:41

It is exactly as i had hoped. Many family members have had them and thought about time i got one

| harley 08-01-2021 16:19

I am definitely in the range of Large to XL according to the sizing chart. The Large arrived and are way too big. I am 5'11 and I am walking on the pants. The chest and waste are very loose even with pants and thick shirt underneath and I would be considered overweight. I used to wear the 42 Reg when the overalls where sized that way and my old pair was definitely tight. Sending back. I will order a Medium/Reg but just don't see how I am that small.

| Eric O. 04-01-2021 18:23

Have to return, they’re to big

| Daniel T. 30-12-2020 23:26

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Craig A. 29-12-2020 00:35

I don't know what the heck Carhartt did to their sizes. I am 5'7" and ordered a short medium. I have a pair from about 20 years ago that fits perfectly. These came out past my feet by about 6". The size chart says that the short is for between 5'4" to 5'7". I would LOVE to see a 5'4" gentleman put these on. He would have an extra set of flippers if he got stuck in the snow and needed to swim out I guess. Returned, I guess I will have to get a bib. Very dissappointed.

| Tiffany Y. 28-12-2020 10:33

My dad LOVED his coveralls! He’s a Vietnam veteran who is still very active doing outdoor chores. He was surprised to get them this Christmas.

| Shawn Z. 26-12-2020 21:25

I like it very much. I bought the extra large thinking I would need it. Turns out they run large and long.

| Paul W. 26-12-2020 19:51

Overall product is good but the snaps to hold the hood on are too small and terrible at keeping the hood attached!

| Butch S. 25-12-2020 00:23

I am 6 ft tall and wear a size 42 waist pants/34 inseam. I got these coveralls as a present, 2X Regular and they are about 6-8 inches too long, way to long. They fit good in the upper body, it's just that the inseam, is crazy long. When I held these cover alls up in front of me, so that the bottom off the legs just touched the ground, the top of the shoulders on the cover alls was over the top of my head by about 2-3 inches. I will be sending them back for a 2X Short. Hopefully they are not too long either. If so, they will be sent back and taking my business elsewhere that has a better fitting coverall.

| MONIKE 24-12-2020 21:49

We've owned several brands of coveralls over the years, so we ordered the Large Short. The torso length needs to be at least 5 inches shorter. The inseam length is fine, but even with work boots they will be dragging the ground. Too bad, we love Carhartt products.

| Margaret 24-12-2020 00:13

Perfect! The black Carhartt fits great.

| Carlos R. 23-12-2020 18:41

Bought a pair from dungarees, size chart had me sized at XL Tall. I’m 6’ 198. They came and would fit Shaq. Then I ordered XL Reg. Came fast in the mail and still are long. From end of the leg to the shoulders measures 5’6”. My actual body from feet to shoulders measure 5’1”. Long story short I have $400 of coveralls that don’t fit and I get to do extra stuff in my not busy life to get the right size and my money back. Good looking out quality control.

| Mark G. 21-12-2020 19:02

Purchased these for my son who is 6' 3" weighs 220 and 48" chest. He does wear a 38 x 32 Carhartt jean. Started out with a XL Regular which was very long and drug the ground even with his work boots on. They appeared to very baggy from the waist down. They fit his upper body perfect. Ordered a XL Short, perfect fit for him. I returned the first pair no hassle and free returns. The sizing chart needs some improvement.

| Bart M. 14-12-2020 18:36

Surprisingly heavy and large. I'll have to return it because it is larger than I expected. I normally wear medium (pants, shirts, etc) but will have to go with a small for these coveralls.

| Brenda C. 14-12-2020 18:33

My son loves his so warm

| Joanne Z. 12-12-2020 18:24

My husband said he will never purchase from Carhartt again. The insulated coveralls sizing is way off. The regular length fits like a Tall length. I had to shorten the legs and add a belt for the waist. Still the crotch hung too low. He is 5’10”. 130lb. Medium size regular length fit terrible. Small would not fit over his shoulders. Also he said they are far too heavy to actually do any work in them. He will not purchase again.

| Yolanda S. 12-12-2020 01:54

It is very nice and keep me warm.

| Monte C. 07-12-2020 18:24

I used the size chart provided and although I came up with an extra large for my size for the most part it fits fine except its a little to long on the in seam and a little big in the chest area. I feel if I went with just a large it would be to small.

| David H. 07-12-2020 06:44

Great coveralls except you can’t get to your pants pocket when wearing them!

| Theodoro G. 30-11-2020 18:24

Great fit cant wait for deep winter to wear to work i know its gonna be worth it!!!!!!

| Linda R. 29-11-2020 18:21

Way too long in body. Carhartt needs to publish and attach more accurate sizing guidelines. Very disappointed tgat I could order something that was so missized.

| Donald C. 25-11-2020 18:01

They were way too long and they are SO heavy!

| Val K. 22-11-2020 20:34

Great coveralls, but still too big. My husband is in between the end of size medium and the start of size large. It would be great if Carhartt could make an in between size for medium/ large. He has to roll up the bottom of his coveralls so he doesn’t trip. He is 5’ 10” and the bottom half of the coveralls are too wide.

| Dave 19-11-2020 20:55

Sized much different than previous. Almost 2 sizes bigger . Do not like longer leg length and crotch is about 8” up from my knee. Have wore only Carhart for 30 years and this is the last Carhart coverall my family will ever buy.

| Beverly F. 15-11-2020 20:45

I ordered a large short coverall, it was too long. I then ordered a medium short pair of coveralls. /they are still too long although the inseam is correct , the body is too long. My husband was 5' 8" and he has worn out his bib overalls which still fit after 20 years of washing. He is now 5'6' and 89 years old but still working outside and coveralls should be better for him, but they are too long in the shoulder to waist.
what can I do--no small sizes

| Sandra M. 12-11-2020 18:01

Was worried about the sizing! But they fit perfectly
I’m a 5’9 girl, mainly legs. And it’s wonderful when I’m working on my car outside. Would but again but probably won’t need too! :)

| Douglas M. 10-11-2020 01:45

Without a doubt the best winter gear that I have ever owned. I work outside everyday in Chicago and my last pair lasted 13 years.

| Joseph C. 05-11-2020 19:24

I am replacing an identical pair size Large Regular that are 24 years old.
24 years ago I was 5"11", 160 lbs and they were getting tight
Now I am 5'11", 190 lbs. I checked the charts on the website and ordered Regular XL. The body fit is good but they are long.
I don't really know if I should return them for a short or just live with it.

| Jack P. 05-11-2020 17:56

The coveralls used to be sized 38 R, 42 L. and the like. Now with the new sizing of just SML Short. .... I cannot get a pair that fits. This was my second try (returned the first pair)to get a pair that fits me. Second pair is so long from the waist up it just wont work. Will have to send these back as well.

Just recieved mine. I’m having the same issue as everyone else. The crotch is literally about 6” above my knees. The torso hits my waist. But the leg length is WAY!!! Off… 220$ for something I don’t feel comfortable wearing in public .. big let down

Unless your upper body takes up 2/3 of your total height, do not buy these. I am 5’ 10”, bought XL short, and the bottom of the crotch is practically at my knees. This is on top of the legs still being too long. I would suggest just buying bibs to be able to adjust length instead

Overall good product. Definitely keeps you warm. If ordering be careful on the sizing, especially the length. I am 6 foot tall and had to order the small length and even then it’s still a tad bit big on me, but overall good product.

Ron

Had to replace an old pair of these. These new ones are much more flexible, hopefully just as warm but that will have to wait a few more months. Since the new ones are now S, M, L... instead of a 46 Reg...I didn't want to order online. Luckily I was on a business trip and there was a local store; the store had several sizes I could try on, but had to order the Large Short. The sizing chart seems way off. Per the chart the short is 5-3 to 5-7. I'm 5-10 and the short still has plenty of room.
