I really do like these, they don’t overheat me and I work in weather that gets down into the 20s. I would have to give these five star rating.

I am 6’0 about 210lbs I got a large tall but it is a little bit too long for my liking. I would recommend the regular size if you are my size.

Here's another review confirming what everyone else has complained about regarding the new sizing. I'm just shy of 5'8", so I followed the sizing recommendations and got a regular medium. Hooo boy are these suckers big! I shortened the straps as far as they would go and still had about 3-4" of loose strap above my shoulders. The pant legs drag on the ground even if I'm on my tiptoes. The quality seems fine for the price, although I can't accurately review them since I'll be returning them before use. I'll be happy to update my rating if I can find a set that fits. I don't understand why workwear brands almost universally struggle to produce men's clothing for us vertically challenged brethren. Can't even buy Duluth shirts because they don't make a men's size small!

I am 5'8 and fit and they dont make any small enough to fit me. and there are smaller people than me. they only have jumbo sizes, i dont understand why its like this.

WHY is there no Men's SMALL SHORT??? My husband is 5'7" but has a 28" waist. We ordered the Regular Small, and it was about a foot too long, but the Medium Short is way to big in the body. He's an electrician and needs good insulated bibs to stay warm in the winter...I am beyond trying to patch his old pair. Please bring back the Small Short.

I've never bought Carhartt bib overalls before and probably should have checked to see what the warmth ratings meant, but overall I really like them.

Ordered the regular large based on the sizing chart. Overall quality in too notch as to be expected with Carhartt. The fit however, is not as accurate as stated. The short says for 5'3" - 5'7" and regular from 5'7 - 5'11". I am between 5'9" and 5'10" and the legs were a few inches too long.

Always love the Carhartt quality! But not happy with the sizing change they made from the previous model bibs to this model. Im 5' 11" and had to buy the "Short" option, yet they are still a bit long. Also the top section is much wider than previous model.

They fit great!! I bought them for work and they did not disappoint. I can easily climb in and out of pipe racks with no problem with them on. So you do not lose flexibility having them on. I would highly recommend them to anyone that works in the elements, whether they are constantly moving around or just sitting.

I bought these to ride on the motorcycle in the winter. They work great for this and are quite warm, but there are a couple issues. I hate how massive the legs are, you can't walk like a normal person without the overly-stiff legs fwapping together. And the shoulder clasps are some of the most annoying clothing closing devices I've ever used. What was wrong with the old button and wire design? I with they made zipoff pants with the same material, I don't really need the bib.

Everything seemed great but the size. I'm 5'6" 150lbs, Athletic build. I ordered medium short. Way too long in the leg.

Great product and serves its purpose well. The only thing I do not like is how the shoulder straps fasten to the bib. They are difficult to manage, even without gloves. Once they are fastened, they seem to function well enough, but I would like the product better if they had a simpler, or easier to use, fastening system.

These bibs fit well over base layer/long johns,and are another step in keeping warm when working in cold weather. The new sizing Loose Fit XL Regular translates to the equivalent of my "normally sized" 44W 34L and 46W 34L bibs.

My one complaint about them only really affects people who are of my height and build. The front flap of my set seems really loose even when wearing a larger coat under it and with the straps pulled tight, but it isn’t so loose that it falls off or gets caught on anything. So it’s not a major issue. I’m right between two sizes, so I wonder if that’s it. Beyond that, they fit great and are plenty warm.

I love the product, Unfortunately mine all went back for improper fitting reasons. I didn’t find them to be true fit, As advertised. My size is entirely too big, the next size down was still a little too big.

Great overalls. Would like to see new overalls have better adjustability. I have long legs but not a long torso. Therefore had to manually stitch the shoulder straps to fit better. Other than that, perfect!

They fit really well very well constructed heavy zippers weatherproof snaps the only problem is the front pockets are way too shallow but all in all they are very good pair of overalls I will buy them again

I have brought carhartt for over forty years <br />The ones that l have gotten the last few years didn't seem as tough I had a lot of trouble with sparks going right thru this last pair is a lot better the material seems stronger and the sparks just bounce off

Good fit. Excellent thermal protection. Very durable. The sole weakness is the brass grommets on the shoulder straps; too difficult to fasten or unfasten.

Bought these to throw over my work uniform to stay warm on my commute on my motorcycle. They are exactly what I hoped for. Riding in 33 degree weather at 65-70 mph for a 30 minute commute is totally doable with these on. Cuts all of the wind and and they feel like they will last for years

These overalls are great for work outside in the elements. I just wish they came with a shorter inseam. I ordered the short but my inseam is 27 inches so they drag even when I shorten the shoulder straps to the shortest.

Bought to replace quite old bib overalls. Fit is fine but wish I could shorten the shoulder straps a little more. I am only 5'6" tall and the "cuffs" do drag on the floor. Otherwise, they are just what I expected.

First set of overalls. Love almost everything about them. The fit seems to be a little loose compared to other brands I have tried on. Also, the pockets are very plentiful, but rather small. If the pockets were larger or even deeper I would feel better about not dropping something out of them.<br /><br />Overall a great product.

I’m 5’11 220lbs. I ordered a size large it fits great on the upper body but it’s just a tad too long, nothing to really complain about though. As far as functionality, I work mainly outdoors and it’s kept me fairly warm in 20 degree (Fahrenheit) weather with minimal layers. I’ve had it for close to a month and so far it’s been durable.These are my first set of bibs and I wonder why I waited so long to get a pair. Truly a life saver for all my outdoor workmen. If you’re in the fence about getting a pair just go for it, truly worth the money. Just make sure you get the right size.

Absolutely amazing overalls. I’m a 34 leg length and a 28-30 waist and the small fit me perfect. had these for about 3 months now and i have a pair of unlined carhartt overalls that have lasted me years through abuse and work. These overalls not only keep me warm but they’re also breathable when needed. I have yet to have a problem with the snaps or zippers on the legs. Only problem which is going to happen is the the bottom of the back leg scrapes on the ground causing flaring. another problem is the elastic strap. when i put the metal clip all the way up at the end of the day i find it coming down a little bit on both sides, the way i figured out how to combat that was placing the metal loop on the canvas past the elastic (View Pictures) never had this problem with my other overalls. Overall great pair of bibs.

Traditional Carhartt quality and toughness. I bought these to replace a seasoned pair of red-lined bibs from years ago. Perfect insulation weight for active work in cold weather. The loose fit is a little too loose even in the proper sizing. I wish they were a little trimmer cut. I put the optional knee pads in and really like them a lot.

I am 5’9 and 230 lbs size 40 x 30 XL short fits my waist over jeans but short is still long with adjustable strap at it’s highest setting but overall they are durable and warm. I have the same problem with the insulated coveralls

Way to big, been wearing a XXL all my life and had to return these for a XL!!! Also the short is still way to long, and the pockets are very small that you can not even grab something in the side pocket and make a fist to pick it out!

Fill in the true fit information and order the size recommended. I read the reviews and ordered one size larger and they are too large. True fit remommended an Xlarge short. I ordered a 2X short and they are too big. The length is too long also. Not sure if the length in an XLarge would have been any shorter. I wear these over my work wear and I can put both arms inside with my legs and still have room for more. Also, I ordered these to replace an older pair of R03 insulated bibs. These are not as warm as the older R03's.

Junk for how much you charge. Used to be quality now the zippers on side's are so cheap I'll never get this over priced garbage again! Zipper on my leg broke first week thought it was because I got brown not black then my nephew had black ones cheap ass zipper broke on his leg same leg different bibs just garbage be ready to buy a zipper!

Really like these but the shallow front pockets are almost a deal breaker, they're too shallow to place anything in them without the possibility of items falling out when you sit or move around. The previous models had good deep pockets! There are other reviews stating the same problem. Can't even put your hands fully in them. There's a nice flat place on the edge of the pockets for a clip knife but it has to be a small one..

my measurements are 6 foot 1 and weigh about 170 lbs and my waist is a 33. I went off the size chart and I got a tall and it was way too long for me. If I was about 6 foot 5 it would of been a perfect fit.

I'm 5-11/185, and somehow I am wearing a M-short. Too big or almost too small. All way too baggy. Go back to what worked

Cons: the attachments from rear to front are an "L" shaped design which hinders removal (the button style was MUCH better, easier, and less frustrating), I ordered the color black and its slowly starting to turn blue due to me having to wash it often as it is used a few times a week, the suspenders are elastic which lets the adjusting brackets slide due to stretching and forward bending movements, the "bib" in the front curls inwards at the edges after washing (because its denim?) idk. Front pockets are shallow.<br />Pros: the zipper and buttons on the legs give ample room to put on your boots, material is heavy duty which gives me full confidence that it will last, the front pocket on the bib has Velcro and also has a zippered compartment behind it (2 pockets), everybody knows its a "Carhartt" when you wear it.<br />Final thoughts: they did a design change and it isn't working for me, the older style was better and I'm a bit disappointed that they couldn't have done better, should have followed the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The elastic suspenders is the MOST ANNOYING though, I have to constantly tighten up the adjusting brackets or else it feels like a parachute is behind me. I will NOT be ordering another due to the fact that it feels "foreign made" to the Nth degree and the quality (in my opinion) is now sub-par.

Sizing chart is way off. I'm 5'11" and the "regular" are dragging on the ground with the straps as short as they will go. Materials and quality are good but they are useless if they don't fit. I'd hate to see how big these are on someone in the 5'8"-5'9" range.

Just what I was looking for, normally I'm a medium but I wasn't going to layer with this and needed the mobility so I went with a small. Super comfortable and durable. I only wish the pockets were a little deeper.

Bought these to wear up in Northwest Alaska for work, held pretty well for being negative 40 out. I am 6'1 and 180 lbs so I got the medium tall, just a little long for me so I have to roll them up. Very durable.

Would rather have the option to select more of a tailored size (34x30) but, you don’t provide that option. I felt that was Carhartt’s marketing advantage.

Looks great. Durable and warm enough for working outside in yard in New England during winter. The only thing is we had to send back the regular length and order the short. My husband is 5’ 11” and 190 pounds. He doesn’t usually have to order a short length in clothing so that was surprising but the company made the exchange very easy.

Not the fit that i thought thought it would be. If i had not already taken the tags off and washed them, i would exchange them for the other style. They are a hassle to get on and off. Other than that, they do their job with keeping me warm.

The overalls are of good quality and very warm. The only problem we have is that my husband apparently has short legs. He is 5'6" and in good physical condition. He needs a 28" or 29" inseam. A medium/short is about 2-3" too long. He works outdoors in mud, snow, etc. and needs to have his paint legs short enough that he does not walk on them. Now that he has spent several hours shortening the overalls, he should get many hours of good use from them, but it would be really nice if they came in a shorter length.

The clips on the overalls aren’t very conducive to taking them off or putting them on in the dark. Also, they Carhartt quality. But they just aren’t for me.

I was a tad spectacle about a medium, but it fits like a glove w/o being to tight or small.

Large was too big. Returned for Medium. Blue fits company color, but my first new Carhartt is disappointing. My Wahls were nicer. The Carhartt buckles are hard to latch in the day (not looking forward to dark). No full front zipper to open and step out like Wahls so you must use the buckles. It is awkward to put on and off.

To me Carhart means quality and this is true about my recent purchase of the insulated bib coveralls. Item exceeded my expectation for warmth and comfort, and the timely delivery and easy purchase on the Carhart website was a pleasant surprise as well.

Fits well. Warm but not too hot. Doesn’t melt when I get too near hot surfaces.

I love Carhartt coveralls but this year I ran into a problem ordering them online. I went by the size charts on the website and they were way to big. I will reorder a pair hopefully in a closer size to what I need. I did not send them back but instead gave them to a coworker who could use them when it gets colder here.

Quality and material is good but size is awful. Medium for myself 6’ 165lb and legs are way too long and lots of room within them. Tried a small which legs and waist were better but on that pair front pockets were really small and tight….not useful. Stuck with the giant medium until sizes are altered.

Medium size did not live up to expectations (too long in the legs), nor the material, which was extremely stiff. Very happy, though, with online shopping experience and, given positive acquaintance with Carhartt products previously, would not hesitate to do business with them again.

They're made well but even the short are made for very tall people. I'm only 5' 2" and the short large size will fit 2 of my legs in each leg hole and as for the length I'd put money on it fitting a 6' tall man. The shoulder straps really need more adjustment in them.

I have wanted a pair of these for a long time and was very disappointed that they did not fit. I am 5'-6" and 175 pounds. I ordered a 38 (short) and there was no way to adjust the shoulder straps enough to fit.

The flat clasps that hold the straps are so bad. I keep buying Carhart because they are made to last, but the clasps drive me nuts. Last pair had a perfect fit. These run large.

I love my overalls. They are perfect to block the bitter cold in the North East. There’s plenty of pockets and I opted for the built in knee pads. They really come in handy. I will say the loose fit seem to run a little big. Other than that. These are another great item from Carhartt!!!

The bibs are great except the length is the shortest offered and they're still 2 inches too long. Trying to find a seamstress to hem them because the zipper has to be replaced in this process.

Got for motorcycle, was really excited to try it out, nice 25 degree ride they held up, but legs were too long, no problem.... I figured. Went to tailor and told me because the leg has a zipper in it they were not able to hem them. Other than that I really like these

Exactly as described. Great quality. They are very bulky. Could have gone a size down, but were immediately put to use, so obviously not that uncomfortable as is. Will take some breaking in. Tall is great for 6'5" guy. Somewhere I read that they are cut to fit over clothes, so order your regular size. Definitely a good guideline. I think we ended up a size up, per the "what size am I" because of height.

Don't know how I missed the Carhartt lifestyle. First 20 years I spent growing up in the country working outside in the winters in long johns and blue jeans. Then again, my parents would have considered these in extravagance. My children got me the coat this past Christmas for working at the cabin. I wore it once and immediately ordered the bibs that night. Only being five six was very pleased to find they have short lengths.<br /><br />Always wondered how those guys doing construction in the winter time could stay warm all day but now I get it. Just like porridge.... Not too hot.. but not too cold. And an incredibly durable shell so you're not even thinking about tearing it when chopping wood/clearing brush/doing whatever.

The overalls weigh a lot more than I thought they would . I Will not wear jeans or heavy pants underneath.<br />The buckles at the top are hard to use despite multiple attempts . Button an Metal loop design would be a lot easier to use.<br />The vented pants are ideal for placing the pants over heavy boots. Good design.

I bought these for my son who is super sized. He was really pleased as he is a big fan of Carhartt products. He hunts, cuts wood and farms so he really puts your products to the test.

Winter is cold and my spouse works outside. He said these are amazing to work in . Only complaint is they are a bit long on his . 200lbs at 5ft8in. As far as insulation these have been great !

The overalls are great but the shoulder strap buckles suck. Too hard to put on and take off.

I'm hanging up my quilted bibs after 27 years of intermittent, faithful use. I've had wives that didn't last that long. They have kept me warm in single digit cold weather (the bibs, not the wives). The moderate snow never seemed to penetrate.<br />I hope the next pair of Carhartt bibs hold up as well. Current wife still great after thirty years.

Bought the 5x for a big guy to wear over regular clothes during winter. Fit was good, layering ability worked well.

I got these as a gift for my partner. He says they’re super comfortable and it feels like he’s in a sleeping bag. He wears them all the time! I used the size chart to pick his size and it is pretty accurate. I would say the legs were just a tad long, but they are easy to fold under. The shipping was very fast. I expected it to arrive 5 days later than it did.

I am 6’7” tall and about 225 lbs. I wear 36x38 pants or 38x38 pants. I ordered the 2XL Tall originally thinking they’d be longer; and they were. Actually they were too long and way, way too big. I returned those and ordered an XL Tall and they fit great! I’m not working in temperatures that are extremely cold; often 20 degrees plus but 10 to 15 mph wind additionally. These overalls are outstanding for the climate I have. They are easy to move in and don’t inhibit me at all. These are an outstanding product as far as I’m concerned.

This is a Christmas gift for my son, so I have no idea how to rate it, other than we have always been pleased with Carhartt items.

Just got these and they are great. After first wash they shrink a tiny bit but still fit very well.

The sizing for the overalls is spot on. Not so much for the jacket ordered last season. The jackets run on the large side, but still top quality!

For my 5'10" frame, the Loose Fit Firm Duck Insulated Bib Overalls were a little too long in length. Other than that, they fit really well. They're the quality you expect from Carhartt products.

Great quality but not enough options as far as size availability. Construction workers aren’t all 6ft 200lbs. I would spend so much money with Carrhartt but because of this reason, I might try other brands that as my size

Good quality as always just the fit was disappointing and had to return- I wish carhartt would go back to specific sizes for waist and length not just medium, small and large in theses bibs <br /><br />Also assuming covid has affected production because can’t find any small and short length sizes anywhere <br /><br />Also wish they would bring back more color options and the quilt lined pants they stopped making 4-5 years ago - they were the bomb and majority of my industry wore them - not sure why they got discontinued:(

I am 230 lbs, 6'2. All jackets bibs I wear have always been large tall or extra large tall. Over last year I have bought two pairs of bibs. 1st was way to big on the waist and short, felt like was wearing a thong. I order another which was this order comment length was great, but waist up threw chest could be better.

Are very warm, very comfortable going up and down stairs, ladders. Easy to wear pants or coveralls underneath, only issue I have is the stretchy material they use for the waist the stitching is already coming apart, I had another pair of carharrt same material, same thing the stitching starts coming apart.
