It is so warm for Colorado weather. I am a 6/8 in tops and the small was perfect. I can wear a chunky sweater underneath no problem. I also love the interior pockets and the depth of exterior pockets.

I love this vest. Fits perfectly. I bought one years ago but was a little too big but I wear it anyway. So decided to buy a new one in a different color. These vest are so nice just to wear over a sweatshirt for an extra layer when you don't want to wear a bulky coat. They keep you warm.

My go to favorite vest. I have the olive green color and wear it over a fleece sweatshirt. Durability is great and has convenient pockets on the inside for keys or something small that has a zipper. I can't wait to purchase another color next season

Fit was larger than my usual size. I normally wear a medium, but ordered a small and it’s perfect. It’s just big enough to wear a sweatshirt underneath, but small enough to wear a heavy jacket over top. Super warm and durable, I love it!

I love my new Carhart vest in gray. I have been looking to replace a vest from another clothier that was about 15 yrs old and threadbare. I love that my new Carhart vest zips up to my neck and has lots of pockets. The fleece lining is just enough to provide warmth but not bulky. It's perfect for my needs.
Fits great and is very warm in the upstate NY weather.
Runs way too big. The xs will have to be taken in and I'm not super tiny.

I like the warmth that this vest brings to fall/early winter layering. It will be a constant in the tree stand. It’s not as ‘relaxed fit’ as some other pieces I have in my Carhartt collection. It’s well made and durable.
Love the style of this vest! It's thick and warm, and has a lot of pockets, which is great. The only drawback is the sizing; when they say "relaxed fit", believe it! I am 5'6", 128 lbs and ordered a size small. It was huge on me, and the armholes seemed very big. I returned the vest, hoping to order the XS, but they are sold out in the color I wanted. Will keep checking to see if the XS size comes back in stock.
The quality of the vest is great! Very durable and feels warm for outside work. I however was deciding between the small or medium, I can fall into both sizes depending on the fit. I ordered a medium and should have gone with the small. I also ordered the grey, which in the picture is a very nice light grey. When it arrived it is very dark and almost have a purple tone to it. It does not seem to match the picture well. I have not worn it out yet, I am deciding on returning it or not.
I rated this 5 stars because this vest Is great on all those stared fronts. However, based on what was suggested for size, I ordered a Medium, which was way too large and I had to send it back. I ultimately ordered a Small and I Love it. Carhartt gear is a field favorite for good reason. Great quality all around. I would, however, suggest theyt work on the ordering info to help customers get it right the first time.

In my area of the Southeast, this vest is perfect for fall, winter, and spring. <br /><br />After oscillating between purchasing a medium or a small and reading existing reviews, I decided on a small. The size is perfect for me: 5'3", 120#.
I am very happy with this vest. I needed something to keep my core body warm but also allow my arms to move freely and not have the bulky weight slowing me down. This vest is perfect to wear over a hoodie or flannel and it is very warm. I wear this almost every time I am doing work outside. The pockets on the inside of the vest are great for keeping items with batteries warm, and I love the zipper breast pocket on the outside as well. If I need any more heavy duty work vests in the future, I will just get another one of these in a different color.
This vest fulfilled all expectations for serviceability for gardening. The bonus was that I got compliments for how it looks. My son said I looked "Country Chic" in it. I'll take that!

I want to love this vest, but I am sorely disappointed with the fabric. When the vest arrived, I noticed that it was very wrinkled. It seemed as if the fabric was wrinklesd before the garment was even created. The most wrinkled part was the piece of fabric behind the zipper. It was so wrinkled it wouldn’t lay flat. I had already wornit so it was too late to return. I tried ironing it so that it wouldn’t bunch up and fold over under the zipper but it is permanently wrinkled and now it’s very annoying every time I zip up the vest. This is not the type of quality I’m expect to from Carhartt and for the price.
Runs very large. Got the taupe color and it had kind of a purple hue to it, not what I was expecting/wanting. Also concerned that the quality of the Sherpa lining has gone way down. Compared it to an old carhartt jacket and that one seemed more dense and warm even though it’s over 10 years old.
I went off of the suggested sizing as I have only ever worn male sizes and I switched to female and was told I needed a large but I am absolutely drowning in a large and should have ordered smaller

I love this vest! It is warm and cozy and very sturdy, but I find that Carhartt women sizes tend to run slightly on the small side. I normally wear an XL no problem, but this was a bit of a squeeze and the next one would’ve been too large.

Very durable. I’m normally a medium in tops but that ran too big so I returned it and got a small which fits right. Only drawback is the bottom flares out more than I’d like.

Super disappointed with the sizing and customer service of carhartt. Took the sizing quiz and was advised to order a small. I am literally swimming in a small, looks like I am wearing a frumpy brown paper bag. Have reached out to customer service multiple times and have had zero response. Will not be ordering from them again.

My wife loves this vest. I bought her one about 12 years ago and she was ready to replace it. Down side was, they discontinued the powder blue color that she really liked (matched her eyes) and Navy blue was the replacement. Dark and hard to see in dim and rainy conditions.

It’s super nice on the windy days where it’s not cold enough for a jacket or coat, but throwing this vest over a hoodie helps cut down a lot of the wind.<br />Carhartt is a go to for me and the quality and comfort of this vest reminds me why I keep buying.

Carhartt has discontinued so many styles. And switched them for styles such as this vest. Which on the face seems like a normal sherpa carhartt vest. But if you're even slightly tall this vest is going to seem like it's cropped. If you wear them with carhartt slim dungarees (which are notorious for being low rise for some reason?) you will, at some point expose yourself to someone when you bend over. I'm 5'10
It’s soooo warm. Not sure if it shrinks when dried in the drier since i hang dry a bunch of my stuff. It’s been my go to for extra warmth.

I order the lightest one (taupe grey) and it’s so dark. NOTHING like the picture. It’s a dark purple. It does run a little big. Good quality and I do like it but I’m not happy with the color at all. It’s not true to the picture.

Sad that they replaced this poorly designed Sherpa for the classic. Do not like that the Sherpa color was changed on the Carhartt brown - the darker color makes it look like lower grade quality.
So warm and comfy. Only problem is the folds by the neck practically cover my entire neck. No complaints other than that
I am usually a size medium for the majority of my coats and vests. I went to a local store to try one on before ordering. Glad I did as I preferred the small over the medium. I can even wear a sweater underneath and have plenty of room.

I have this vest in brown and I love it ! I work in a slaughter house, so it tends to be very cold. im able to wear my vest under my meat coat and still move freely while staying warm. very cozy vest and breaks in beautifull , the canvas softens with age. I love it !
I've been a fan of Carhartt and the quality it provides for years, however, the changes in the vest is disappointing. Personally I LOVED the design with the ribbed knit on the bottom which not only kept me from looking like a box, but kept it in place . Was called the Weathered Wildwood Vest. It gave YOU the option to detach the hood or leave it on. Was a GREAT design. This should be brought back for sure. Now the Carhartt brown is being phased out in the vests? Really? I can't wrap my mind around this and the limited choice of colors or the new colors in general. Why on earth would you remove your "Signature Color"? One that is guaranteed to sell out! One that matches everything and perfect for working in! Also the material has changed a couple times in the last year or two and I can't speak for it because haven't had a desire to purchase these styles after mine was left behind on a trip. Please don't try to fix something if it isn't broken. Give loyal customers the option to chose between having the bottom band and removing the hood if they don't like it or no bottom band. Options mean more purchases.
I am ordering this vest in a dark brown, only because I do love the quality or Carhartt clothing and outerwear. However, I cannot figure out why you would take away the original Carhartt color and change the style of the original vest when it was so popular
