Nice fit. A lil long in the leg. I guess that's the price for being 5'4. Unfortunately the only way I can get pants that fit is ordering online.
I purchased a pair online before this order that were sized 31x34 and they fit me perfectly, so I ordered 6 pairs in that size, those 6 pairs don’t fit, when I lay them on the first pair they are completely different dimensions. So that’s annoying.
Great fit should have bought a couple more. Will be sending reorder
I like the fit of the pant and how they look. Unfortunately, after the second wash holes developed in the upper thigh region.
I bought these for my husband and he loves them! I like the way they look too.
The most perfect work pant I’ve ever worn !
Good pants. I have 3 pairs now. Making it a uniform. Flexible and good fit
Great work pants.
Love these pants!
Great pants! fit just like they did in store and also shipped quick.
I was very disappointed to find the original front pocket design on these pants, diagonal slash pockets, had been replaced with looped, harder-to-use pockets usually found on jeans. I will not purchase again.
Great fit. Looks good. And so far durable. I wish the side pocket was just a litter bit longer so that I would not be scared of losing my phone. It does peek out by about half inch.
Great pants
Bought three pairs. Two of the three were too short and they are the same size and style. Pretty poor experience.
Great pants. Comfortable. Last set I purchased has lasted for 5 years.
The last two pairs of these pants I’ve bought in the exact same size as the previous 4 pairs have run short. Recommend buying the next size up in inseam.
I ordered two pair of exact same style and size and when I tried them on 1 pair was about an inch smaller around the waist and are uncomfortably tight. The material seems different than my old pair.
Great fit and super strong!
I love these pants!! A perfect weight and fit! I will certainly buy another pair!
Unbelievably poor quality. I bought these less than a year ago as my first ever pair of work pants. To my disbelief they couldn't take the use that I normally put my regular denim jeans through. I may have used them to work on my car a couple of times, and maybe 40ish times in a carpentry shop. With so many options available today, I chose Carhartt as a safety mechanism from making a bad choice. Goes to show you shouldn't relay on a brand's former reputation.
Larger active guy. Good fit. That 5th pocket is good and well placed for a phone but I use it for other things. I like the belt loops.
Buyer Beware...Model No. BN2517-M does not have the double
Not the same the pockets are not slanted anymore
They fit well. Like em.
Amazing would recommend ??
No. Bring back relaxed painter or carpenter pant. There is nothing realexrd about these and I can work in them!!
Nice pants good fit
Well-constructed, available in a lot of color choices, and Carhartt quality. The material doesn’t seem as heavy, but they’ve held up really well with a lot of wear. I wore one size up on these no question. I’m a dead-in 32 and these had to be 33 to fit.
Exactly what i expected.
The name says it all! Carhartt.....it's in the name!
These are different than the previous rugged flex pants I purchased. The previous version were better but these are alright.
Nice pants, size up tho
I really like these pants. The only thing that would make them better is if the bottoms were a bit narrower. Otherwise, they are great.
great work pant ! some room for comfort
Love them. Very light and comfortable
These pants are comfortable because they don't restrict your movement which is important to me because I'm on the move all day. The fabric also feels rugged and protects you from the occasional scuff and scrape from working on an active job site. Additional I really like the straight leg design because it's not overly baggy which helps to avoid your leg fabric getting caught on sharp objects or brushing on things. Time will tell whether they are durable or not but I have high hopes in that regard. Overall, this pants is exactly what I want in a work pant so it gets a 5 star rating from me.
It’s really good quality
Casual work pants
I have always worn the tried and true duck canvass Carhartts and for 4 decades I stand behind them. I have one pair that is more than 20 years old that I continue to wear every time I work outside. You can't kill them. However, they are a bit HOT during hot summer days. So I was looking for something a bit cooler but I wanted Carhartt quality and reliability and wear resistance. I've only had these Rugged Flex Canvas Relaxed Fit 5-pockets for about 3 weeks now. I like them A LOT. They are definitely cooler in hot weather. Have not worn them enough to know how they will wear over time. So far so good though, it seems like they might actually last a long long time. By the way they are lighter too and that's nice. I also like the simple 5 pocket design. I'm not into CARGO PANTS. I don't need to carry as much crap in my pants pockets as you can with Cargo Pants. I don't need the extra bulk and they look goofy. I wear my pants to work with a collared shirt and they work just fine like that. No hammer hook? Big deal. I RARELY use the hammer hook on the full duck versions. I'd rather strap on a tool belt if that's needed. The fit is just right. I'm 5' 8" tall and about 210 pounds. I'm muscular and that's real and not a fable. I'm picky about fit and the 36-30 full duck pants have served me well for decades so I ordered the same here with these. Exactly the same fit. I was very happy about that. Anyway, I got the gray color. I need to order a pair in black now too. I don't do a lot of reviews but things like work pants are important to me so if that is true for you as well I hope this review helps you.
Good quality, slight stretch to limit binding. Own 4 pair.
These pants have been the best fitting pants I have purchased in the last 10 years. They run exactly true to size with room for a belt.
Great pants for a dirty job good material doesn’t rip easy overall great pants
Great work pant for my son. Will buy again.
Great love them
Great shirt
The knees wear out much too quickly. They NEED to be reenforced.<br /> Other than that - these are great for work.
I like these pants very much. I especially like the pocket for cell telephones. As I am a short person I only wish that Carhartt has more pants with short inseams. (i.e. 27 or 28" inseams)
Absolutely great fitting and comfortable.
Great fit, comfort, and quality
I purchased these for my son .
Very comfortable and yet professional.
Big fan of these pants. Great fit and weight for warm weather. They dry pretty quick on those sweaty days. Comfortable for days when I go out on the Harley.
Great Quality at a Great Price
Very well constructed
My son love them
Really good work pants for hot weather. Lightweight, but durable.
Greatest pants I’ve ever worn.
Great product
They are good work pants
I’m always stuck between a 34-36 so yo have the 35 is absolutely perfect
They make great work pants.
Exactly as advertised. Cathartt quality. Length runs a little long but that’s why I like them. I would purchase again,
Very comfortable work pants.
The pants have a hammer holder loop.<br />This loop was not sewed on correctly with the <br />typical twist. That would generally be considered a flaw.<br />However, the pants were not advertised as flawed.
Fits great…. Very light weight very comfortable for working all day in!
These pants used to be vary durable and last a long time. At 44$ a pair I should get more than 3 months out of them before the knees blow out. I will no longer be a customer.
I have to send the pants back as they are not true to size
These pants are OK, too high priced for the quality. I ordered 3 pairs and two of them the button was off so they fit tighter than the one pair. After awhile they tend to fade from washings. These are not the quality they use to be.
I love the fit and was happy to not have to look through stacks of pants and not find my size. They came to my door and fit like a glove.
The fabric isn’t as rugged as I’d hoped. I ripped the leg of the pants the first day I wore them.
Not reccomend for culinary work, not breathable and feel hot.
Great pants and I like the cell phone pocket.
The length shrinks after only a few washes. I've gone through probably 10 pairs in the last 5 years and every single one ended up about 2" shorter than when it arrived. I like the material but the fit is just too inconsistent. I've tried a few competitors and the Dickies flex pants have a better lasting fit.
So nice!soft
Pants fit great and are comfortable, but the material is very thin. After just one day of wearing them I could see them already starting to rip by the front pocket.
I love these pants! They’re very comfortable and look great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!
The 36 inseam seemed a bit short.
I like the feel of the pants but they wear thin quickly. I wore a hole in the pocket from my wallet after of few months and the pockets are getting a hole in the corner top along with holes in crouch. Love the feel of these Carhartt but I don't know about how thin they are I cant purchase them every three months. I wish they would of lasted longer because I love the feel
Very nice and comfortable
The sizing is very accurate. The pants are comfortable and durable. The pockets are deep and accessible. I own five pairs and love them all. I no longer wear jeans, in favor of my Carhartt work pants. I’m an old guy (81 next month), but I enjoy being well dressed and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend the rugged flex relaxed fit 5 pocket work pants. They are well made and very comfortable.
Great Jacket. Very well-made!
I bought three pairs of these work pants. They are very comfortable, the only problem I have was they run very small at the waist. I wear a 40 waist and one pair I can't even button,I have no problem with the other two pairs at 40 waist, but for some reason the one pair at 40 waist is more like a 36 waist. If you buy these definitely go up a size or two. I really do like the pants but unfortunately I didn't contact Carhartt about the problem because I threw away the tags and all,I shouldn't went up two sizes.
Carhart never disappoints! These pants are not only durable but comfortable and the color selection is awesome! They are worth every penny!
Odd that the manufacturer's website doesn't have a "notify me when they're in" function. These run a little small in waist, for me, based on sizes of other pants. Love the fabric and the durability...great value!
They were a gift for my grandson for work. He was very pleased to receive two pairs and he loves them for his job.
Another great CARHARTT clothing option ?? ?? ??
Good fit and flexibility. Needs somewhat tougher material, however.
Don’t like the fit, too close in style to the ones I thought I was ordering.
Completely satisfied no problems at all
My husband is straight up B18 Jean guy. Only ones he will wear…until…his best bud got a pair of these…so I took a chance and ordered a pair for husband. He loves them and it’s so nice to get him out of blue jeans. Great color selection and now a go to for a dress pant!
Delivery came in early. Fit is perfect. Great stylish work pant
They are shorter than most 32 length pants.
These pants are not what they use to be. I just got 4 pairs last 3 months ago and I already Had to get 2 holes sewn up in the back of the pants that I only wore 3 times
The pants where a little pricey but they fit well and are well made. In a nutshell, they’re Carhartts
For the most part they're real good, got a couple spots that are starting to fray already but not bad
Best office / field pant on th market.
Comfortable, tough and and excellent fit - just what I wanted!
I'm liking the pants, so far. A lot of works pants are very loose, so I like that these aren't as baggy as many of the others. Quality seems good, but I'll see how the pants are a few months from now.
Too light weight.
Wear pretty good. Plan on seeing how long they last
They ripped in a week
Great pants fit i s good washes well dry on low
Great fit, and quality fabric. I love that I can get a 28” inseam.
Great pants. Not heavy enough for rugged work, but great for everyday
I love Carhartt pants, and these are no exception.
These have a really nice feel. They also come in a large variety of colors. Unfortunately, I usually wear a different style that has an addition pocket on the left leg. And the carpenter pocket is slightly shorter than others. Otherwise they are great.
Great fit and Comfortable.. lov the 5th pocket
These jeans look and fit so well, I feel bad for even wearing them for work pants! Love your products and Carhartt customer for life. Anyone who has the issue with a disproportionate waist/leg ratio, these will solve that!
Finally pants that fit! Rugged but not too heavy. Would definitely recommend this product and the whole carhartt experience.
Since they threw us out of the office in March 2020, I've worn a pair of these every single day. I'm only retiring a couple of the oldest pairs because they don't look as good after a few years -- outlines of my phone and wallet have faded onto the pockets. I recommend buying lot of these.
Like them alot.Comfortable
Sizes between colors are widely inconsistent. I generally wear 32wx32l pants. I when I first ordered in Gravel and Hickory, I purchased 32x32. They fit more like 30x30. I then ordered 33x34 in Gravel, Hickory, and Elm. The Gravel and Hickory fit more like 32w x 33l, and the Elm fit closer to 32w x 31l. They do shrink...even when washed in cold and dried on low...so keep this in mind when ordering.
Purchased for my husband. He likes the look, feel, fit well. Rugged but not heavy material.
If you get these then add 2 inches to the waist size. They run small to begin with but after washing them they shrink even more.
Fit great. Do you make a similar style in work shorts
Awesome pants I love these.
These are great pants. They are rugged, exceptionally well crafted, true to fit and attractive. I work in these and use them for everyday wear. Can’t go wrong with these pants.
So i purchased 2 orders, a pair of this pant and the other pair that has the same exact name but doesn't say " 5 pocket". Both of the pants the exact same, the ones that don't say "5 pocket" still have the 5th pocket and even says so on the description of the pant. What got me was i ordered the same exact sizes but the ones that have "5 pocket" in the name fit tighter, are shorter, and the opening which goes over the boot, isnt as wide and barely fits over the boots. I just dont understand how they fit completely different when they have the same name except for "5 pcoket" in it. Defitely prefer the Rugged Flex Relaxed Canvas Work pant without the 5 pocket in the name.
Great pants but every time I try to purchase a pair they're always out of stock
Very durable and comfortable right out of the package!
Great fit- comfortable!
Liked these pants ok when they first arrived. Wore them a few times and then washed them in a normal load and they seem to have shrunk considerably, esp. in length. Bought a pair of duck dungarees at the same time in the same size (32W x 34L) and they handled the wash just fine. Am going to return these and see if I have better luck with a different style. I would just buy another pair of the duck dungarees because I like them a lot (especially since they are straight fit and there aren't many Carhartts offered in straight fit...Carhartt, please add more!) but it's going to be warm soon here in North Carolina and they'll be too heavy.
The customer service is excellent. The pant's however are not rugged or even close, to the durable quality of Carhartt's work pant's and overalls I've appreciatively purchased over the previous 50 years.
My first order was to small , so sent them back for a bigger size. The second pair fit perfect. The return process was great. It was so smooth.
Great pants, very comfortable and fit perfect
I am done looking for a pair of pants to buy for the rest of my life. The cut on these is like a better Levi 501, with a perfect amount of stretch. I can wear them to work, to the climbing gym, and out do dinner. On top of that they fit nearly perfectly. I wear a 31x34, and Carhartt is one of the few companies that sells this size reliably. So Stoked!
Great fit and nice flex as my son is working.
Fit and feel great! Comfy lightweight and look good.
Manly, comfortable, functionality, plenty of pockets, rugged. Really a great pair of trousers
My husband loves these pants for work. They fit well and not too tight or baggy.
I have purchased dozens of pairs of pants for 15 years and love them however this is the second time recently that I have experienced problems with the zipper. It seems to get stuck all the time while pulling it up. Eventually after 4 or 5 tries it works.
Super comfortable pants. I have multiple pair and they’re basically the only pants I wear.
Couldn’t be any better
Fit good, light weight
Overall, for $50 they are a very comfortable plant.
Great Fit just what i needed for the job sight
Great product. ??
Fit is true. Comfortable and durable.
Don’t like the relaxed fit??
felt as if I had on dress pants
Nice flexible work pant. Seems to fit a little tighter than most pants in the waist.
Comfortable pants just a little thin
Overall a great pair of work pants, they are a little tight around the waist but other than that they are great.
Only pants the hold up in my shop
Way too tight around the waist and hips, even after buying a size way above what I normally wear. It was like a skinny pant with no flexibility, and even if it were to break in, I doubt it would offer any more space.
Waist size fits well - Legs are extremely oversized for an average weight person.
Awesome, comfortable pants with great cell phone pockets!
I ordered 2 pairs the same size36x30.<br />1pair is as advertised the other pair were labeled wrong. The tag said 36x30 but in fact are 34x30. Would never order from Carhart again
I am very materialistic. Very impressed
Note: This is a early review, I have only had the pants about 3 weeks. I am really impressed with these pants so far. They seem to be made well and the wear is very comfortable. I like that they look like a dresser work pant. I am a computer technician so I do a lot of getting up and sitting down and walking all day. They are very comfortable. I was impressed with my first pair so I bought two more pairs. They are not stiff at all. The only con that I have is the "cell phone" pocket on the side is not very deep. I have a standard smartphone in a case and it sticks out of the top of the pocket about 3 or 4 inches. If you are crawling or laying on your back working, you phone may fall out of the pocket. Beside that one issue the pants are great.
Fit and wear great.
So Comfy!!
Comfortable and dressy. Work great for work.
So far so good, have had them for a couple weeks now. Really comfortable and light weight, enough give that I am able to workout in them. Will see how well they hold up at work <br /><br />6ft tall<br />230lbs
im a 6 foot 3 and 300 pound plus pound man and i love Carhartts Rugged Flex brand pants and shorts. they fit very well and have a nice amount of room to move around dont bind like other types of pants. finally dont feel restricted or like im gonna rip the crotch out of them!
They shrunk when I washed them, I have big thighs and it rubs them too much for my liking
Fit well but slightly heavy.
Too small. I need to return them.
Nice pants but they run a bit small in the waist. I found that I have to dry on very low dryer setting, otherwise, a lot of wrinkles!
I love the fit and feel of these pants I just wish the material was more durable … I was climbing around a attic my first day wearing a pair and I ripped them first day on a blunt metal object
Comfortable fit
They are too loose on the legs
They never showed up in the mail.
These pants are very good. Rugged, light but warm, not hot on the warm days, they work with you not against you. I have been wearing them for about 2 years now, and I don’t buy wrangler 13mwz any more! These fill the bill from camping, hunting and fishing, to work, on into town.
Great quality and fitted perfectly
Comfortable and good quality
Good quality, comfortable. Always used the carhartt carpenter pants. Tried this style and would recommend to anyone.
Great quality, excellent all day comfort! The side pocket on right thigh, is great to carry a cell phone. Only drawback is they do fade quicker than I think they should, during normal washings even in cold water. I have multiple pairs and will purchase more.
I've been wearing the 102517, size 36x30 for the last four years or so. I didn't think they were particularly all that durable as I've gone through what seems to be quite a few pairs, but the comfort made up for it big time. Late last fall I purchased a new pair of the Hickory colored ones and noticed the labels were different and the pants did not fit the same. I thought it may have been a fluke.......no. After purchasing more new ones, the new pants with the updated tags and logos are not the same, I can't be believe they give them the same size and part number. The Hickory ones are about a size too small in the waist which translates to everywhere else. They feel what I image skinny jeans would feel like, tight literally every where. The gray ones are about 3/4 of a size too small in the waist. This size comparasion is across five pairs, two Hickory and three gray......now I have $225 in pants that I hope I rip soon because I can't stand wearing them. This "update" was a step back in my opinion and now I need to find different work pants because I will not buy any more from Carhartt.
Materials not what they used to be . Fit is true to sizing . Carhartt going in the wrong direction.
Great work pant! Ordered for the hubs and he already wants more. Classic Carhartt quality and fantastic price. Received quickly too.
Less rigid than jeans, comfort where it’s needed
Fit correct to size, very comfortable and flexible and has a great feature a cell phone pocket!
I think you all have changed the fit. I’ve bought the same pant in the same size several times before, and this pair is smaller.
Pockets are the wrong size and location to really be functional. They stretch out and tools fall or are too deep to teach into. Comfortable pants that "look" like they can do work...but not really. Time for a new brand to step up and remake the classics that made the carhartt famous.
These are well made pants and they are very durable long lasting yet comfortable pants
Production inconsistencies - sizing. Ordered a pair six months ago. Ordered a second pair two weeks ago, in the same size/color/style. Inseam on new pair was well over an inch longer than the first pair, and has remained that much longer even after several washings. Tags on both pants indicate same country of origin and same production run. Regardless of which pair is off, the production is inconsistent. Had same experience two or three years ago when ordering a similar style, so it's a persistent issue as well. Hemming is a pretty easy fix, if you have the time and if you care, but FYI...
I just can not understand why the manufacturers of pants can not yet make pants that are consistent in size across the board, no matter the color or the size. I ordered one pair of Elm in 36/32 and one pair of hickory in 36/32. The Hickory have a 31 inch inseam. Now this is not just a Carhartt problem. This is an every manufacturer problem. There are customers that will never return because the pants you sent them were constructed with poor quality. There is a reason poeple buy household names. They want quality every day, every year.
Carhartt has fifty different styles of jeans and their sizes vary drastically depending on what style you choose to buy. I’m done buying from Carhartt.
different.... older ones made in different country, these china. cheaper/smaller/tighter. Other Carhartt products that I have ordered, same result. double front pants, same deal. i ordered in dec,2020 and they were made in Honduras, size 33/32 fit great. still have 3 or 4 pairs, and they fit same/great. fast forward to nov 2021, and have to jump to size 36, not because i am larger(same weight, same height, same build) bought size 33/32(w/l) WAY TOO SMALL. returned. ordered 34/32, still too small. no 35 offered, so i ordered 36/32. TOO BIG. CHINA MADE. i love Carhartt products, and am used to their great quality, so, i hope they look into this, because i am seeing this same complaint from MANY other customers.
Very comfortable pants work all day bending and climbing will be buying more.
All my husband will wear to work. Loves them. We have 6 pairs.
Very relaxing and comfortable. Beats any pair of Levi’s or Wrangler’s that I have. Bought 3 pairs and will buy more.
Love the fit ,and the comfort .I'm bought 4 pairs the last two months
I love the fit, but the button fell off on the wear. The pants are super comfortable.
Amazing work pant
Looks great
The pants fit very well and stretch,as advertised. .<br />I wish the fabric was a bit thicker.
Bit of a tighter fit then I'm use to but durable and works wonderful
First, they fit well. The fabric has the right feel; not too stiff, easy to move, bend etc.<br />They launder well. Washed probably 5 times so far with minimum shrinkage. Very pleased with this purchase.
I ordered same pants like 2 years ago and they were made in Honduras, material was great quality. These pants were made in China this time and differences was big. Cheaper material and felt way lighter. Not happy
Pockets are about 2 inches deeper than the comparable carpenter jeans (same pants with hammer loops). This is too deep. I cannot reach the bottom of the pocket without leaning over to extend my arm farther.<br />Please make the pockets the SAME DEPTH as the other pants that I've been wearing for 20 years. <br />Thank you<br />Jim
I reordered the brown and Black and they updated the quality slightly, my old pairs were from a 2019 run, you can see it printed on a little tag, these were from 2021/2020, I had to send back the blacks to get a different length as the blacks were 2 inches longer than the browns, but they were diferent batch years so that may be a problem untill they-re all 2021 batches. The fabric feels better, and the inside pocket was soft, not like my first ones where they had this hard starched feel that never softened and would rub my leg raw cause they go down so far. I also got 2 extra belt loops in the back that my first ones did not have. My first ones shrunk to the point they where they were too tight so keep that in mind, it takes a while but they eventually shrink to a complete other size, so i upped the waist and length to counter that. If you order them and the waist is tight and the length is just right send them back and go p in waist and length, they'll fit for awhile but with each wash and dry they'll shrink just a little more. Overall i like these, i would just implement more stretch in the waist as it seems to not flex, and i would actually shorten the length of the front pockets. Also wish they would do the peat color or a darker gray, the gravel one is too light.
Fit great. Well constructeds
I would go through a pair of pants every month or so at work. These have lasted me almost a year and there's little to no wear or tear. They're also extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend
I liked the style and material, but the zippers on the two pair I purchased wouldn’t stay up after just a couple wears. Customer service was great in handling the return, but I have not tried another pair yet.
My favorite work pants. Very comfortable. And fairly durable. Fit true to size
I liked the design except for the front pockets. I have two other pair with side pockets. These have top pockets and I have trouble accessing the pocket, especially the right side. That is where I have my phone belt holster and my knife holster.
Our technicians love these pants. I have two techs with larger thighs and these pants have plenty of room without being baggy or bulky for the thinner guys. Pants are comfy, not stiff. Look professional when paired with a polo. Perfect for our installation team.
Christmas gift.
Make sure you upsize the length, they shrink considerably after the first wash, I have multiple pairs that I guess will become shorts for this summer
Fit perfect for the job enough room and comfort ,shipping was slow but worth the wait
They fit great. Snug yet room to move, and I love that they are light weight.
Very comfortable and well made
Have done really well. I have worn carhartt all my life and these pants don’t disappoint. Just wish they would bring back the denim jean jacket.
I do really like these pants. They are rugged and perfect for the warehouse job I do. The only thing I would like to see is that a little more narrowness down at the bottom of the pants around the calf and boot area, would be nice if they hugged the leg just a tad bit more. Also, like many I’m sure, I need to carry my cell phone with me at all times. Over time, the rectangular pattern makes an imprint in the area of the pocket and has started to fray. Maybe you could enforce the pocket area a tad bit more as well? Great pants overall though.
Awesome fit and durable. Best pants I could have bought for the money.
Great quality product!
Very comfortable jeans. Really like the flexibility. Kind of lightweight will be good for warm weather.
I bought these thinking they were heavier…more rugged for work. They’re more like casual work pants, can’t see these holding up too long. They do fit well, look good but i expected more from a product called rugged-flex
Really good pants
Love it!!! And I’m loving all the pockets
Excellent jacket. Very durable and great design.
My new favorite pants. The fit is pretty true to size, very comfortable. Time will tell on the over all durability but so far there are no issues.
Great product. Easy to move around in and be comfortable while I work. Any tradesman would love these pants
The fit and durability of these pants is great. They are the only work pants I wear anymore. Wish Carhartt still made jackets this well.
Rugged yet comfortable. I do believe I have found my new standars for pants I wear.
Well made pants! These fit perfectly!
Good product much like how Carhartt is. Got a new job and they don’t allow jeans but allow khaki Carhartt and I was like sold.
Great fit. Comfortable. Iron up great. Look great.
Comfortable and fit good. Had to go one size up in waist though. Very satisfied!
They last about a year.
Very nice . I have a hard time finding pants that fit . These are perfect . Just wish you made a 31 waist in the flannel lined pant . These are very soft unlike a lot of other canvas pants.
These are the heavy duty pants which have the thicker canvas cotton fabric which husband likes in the winter. He had to call and speak to a rep to order these as the website has many to choose from and the rep was very helpful. Good quality pants
Perfect fit.
Perfect fir
As advertised, good fit, fast shipping.
My son loves his pants! Great fit, comfortable and good looking.
I love the Rugged Flex Relaxed Fit Canvas 5-Pocket Work Pants. However, the pants shrink significantly in the length.
Great, but it will be greater with six pockets
Fits well. Moves well. Would offer designers in future needs a bit more flex when one bends down and I'm a thin guy. Shrank a bit more than expected as well. Would recommend but would consider upsizing for shrinkage.
The quality is good, but it is not a size 34. Everything in Carhartt runs big, except the pants apparently. I would say these are a size 32 or maybe a 31. Again, great quality, terrible fit. I need to return them, but I just have not had time to get around to it.
Great pants, they feel great and hold up to a lot. They are a little tight around the crotch and waist but overall outstanding.
Awesome fit, comfortable and light weight
Comfortable and fit well
Great pants
Love them!!!!
Very comfortable love it
They seem very tight through the crotch and thighs. Could be me, but I thought the relaxed fit would be more spacious.
No complaints here. Ordered 2 pair for working outside and they have been durable, easy to clean, etc.<br /><br />Only complaint is that they are not made in the US.
Comfortable and good fit. Better color choices than other canvas pants.
Fabric is too thin, not like past Carhartts I have had
As expected. With the Carhartt Brand I expected no less! The fit and wear well and the price to value is excellent!
Fits my son perfectly. And durable for his job
I want the coffee and elm colors too but your site says they are not available, disappointing. But I do love the quality and feel!! ????
Great fit. Comfortable fabric. After about an hour or so of wearing them they do loosen up.
Never fails, I can buy a pair in store that fits perfectly but when I order off the website (the exact same style and size) the pants I receive are 3 inches longer. Not the first time this has happened.
I bought two pairs in the same 33x30 size. Had to pay 16 dollars to hem one of them that was actually 2” longer than the other!
Sizes do not seem to run true. Ordered 3 pairs of 38" x 30", all different colors but all same style. All fit different at the waist. One fit snug, one was a little snugger and one I can get into but can't say that it is a comfortable fit. They did not seem to shrink when washed. I did try on a pair of 40" x 30" in the store and they were way too big at the waist so I ordered online.
Just what my husband wanted. Fits perfectly. Great quality.
I prefer the Washed Version Relaxed fit, but I liked the new RED Color. 38's are kinds tight on me, whereas most other Pants in 38 leave me some room . They may soften up some after the 1st washing.
Great fit and stylish as a mo fo
They are a good weight for hot days
THIS IS ALL MY HUSBAND WILL WEAR!
Fits good. I like that you can move freely while working
Great pants overall....BUT phone pocket was changed. Now too small, and missing the top flap to hold phone in, so not secure. Less triple stitching, too. Rather pay a bit more, and keep these features.
These are great pants!
GREAT FIT! like the workmanship... style is good enough for casual workplace or outdoor activity
Fit well, pretty comfortable, holding up well to work in the shop, clean well without difficulty and aren’t fading. Bought some more already.
Very comfortable
This is the second pair I have bought, but first online. They fit well and true to size, just like the pair I bought at the store.
Fits well. Very functional.
The pants are way too baggy for me through the lower legs. My wife asked me if they were bell bottoms.
Pants are comfortable. Length is inconsistent.
These are my go-to day to day Pants. comfortable and durable, and the perfect phone pocket.
Perfect fit. Colors are awesome.
I love these pants and all the Rugged Flex line products! I wear these everywhere. They are very comfortable and stretch with every move. The only thing I would recommend is if they can add the Stain Breaker® technology or Rain Defender to them. On rainy days the rain soaks right in. Otherwise, these are awesome pants!
My husband loves these pants. I’d like to know which ones in the women’s line are comparable.
Love my flex fit pants. By far best work pants I’ve ever had!
Outstanding pants! Perfect fit compared to my normal size.
After only a couple washes, all the gray color ran out of the crotch, and the material pilled like a cheap sweater.
Legs are too tight. Not a relaxed fit at all. Pockets work great and the material stretches well. So far they've held up very well. These pants would be a 5 star all around if the legs were more roomy.
Really disappointed with these pants. Bought 2 pairs and one fell apart really fast, I thought it might be coincidence so I bought a 3rd and all three pairs are the same story. They tear way too easily and after a few months of wearing and washing them they feel paper thin. I feel like carhartt has become more of an image than actual rugged work wear. I have given dickies a try and have had a much, much better experience with them and they’re way cheaper.
I bought six pairs of these pants because I work as an appliance technician and was looking for something durable. I thought that by alternating between the different pairs that they would last a long time. After about a year I noticed that the right knees were wearing completely through. Now just about every pair has the right knee worn through. I am not rough on my clothes and always wash these in the delicate cycle. I have noticed they have shrunk as well. I'm disappointed because Carhartt has a reputation of being durable.
Excellent pants. Not too heavy. Ideal for working around the house. Love the side phone pocket but a little deeper would be ideal to secure iPhone. Fit to size. If possible, make more fade resistant. Great pants and will buy more.
The pants fit my husband great but they did fade a lot and shrink a lot, after about 6 months they were too short for my husband to wear. The durability is good for work, handled the grease and being worked in very well for those 6 months he wore them.
Overall, the pants are not too shabby. However, the color (I had the gravel ones) wore pretty fast, started to notice fading after maybe 2-3 months. Comfort was top notch and functionality was good as well. But quality was not because after less than one year of wear, the crotch seam started to tear and there was a hole torn through the pant and into the pocket on the front right pocket. These pants lasted me a year and a half. Expected more from carhartt but now I know that these pants just are not that great for people doing serious work.
I've always preferred the gray colors for my work pants. For whatever reason the gray (gravel) color shrinks about 2 inches in length after just a few washes. I thought it was maybe a mishap so I ordered more. I now have 5/6 pairs of gravel pants I don't wear because they became too short. I haven't had any issues with this happening to the other colors I own. I love these pants other than this shrinking issue.
I like these pants a lot. I've always worn FR gear from Carhartt as an employer required PPE. At home I've worn their jeans. But I found these pants and they are amazingly comfortable. I wear these hiking, in the yard, and around the farm. I will continue buying the rugged flex line for comfort and durability.
These pants look very good and are really comfortable. I have only worn them a few times but so far no complaints.
Fabric is extremely gentle and smooth. Typically a 32 inseam but should’ve gone 30 considering these run on the loose side. Would purchase again.
I usually have a hard time with carhartt pants. When I get the right fit o my waste the legs are too baggy. Anyway these fit great and are light and move well right off the bat. I would have ordered more but they’re out of stock which is pretty disappointing. I can’t speak to their durability. I wear them to work but haven’t had them long enough.
I rely on Carhartt gear for my work needs. These particular pants only lasted a few months with light use before ripping beyond use at the back pockets and crotch area. Not quite the durability I've come to know with Carhartt products. Definitely wouldn't recommend these for field craft workers.
For this price, WORK pants should last you more than a month. After a few wears and washes the botton stretched out it's hole and fell off. And of course, now the size needed is out of stock. The company has offered to have me send them back for a quality inspection, but they don't have the size needed to replace them anyhow. I guess I'll need to go back to Schmidt- less money, and longer lasting.
These pants work great if you can get ones that are actually labeled and sized correctly. If I always got the right size they would be a solid 4 star. I have no idea how Carhartt hasn’t solved this quality control problem. I wear a size 34 waist and 34 inseam in all my pants, Dickies, Eddie Bauer , Gap and Truewerk. These specific 5 pocket Rigby pants run smaller than listed on the waist more often than not by one size but also will be randomly wrong size on waist or length. I had to return one pair of coffee 34x34 , too tight in waist. Then I figured I would be good to order 2 pair 35x34.... wrong, the coffee ones fit in waist and length, yay, but the grey ones were really a 36 inseam, a full two inches longer in length still marked as a 34 though on tag inside. Side by side it was obvious the grey were much longer. How can these be so poorly labeled and make it to shipping so many times?? I have to imagine these pants are one of the most returned items at Carhartt for fit issues as there is no way to know what you are really getting from one order to the next. I have no issues with other Carhartt products, they are consistently the same size so once you find your fit you’re good.
Very disappointed in Carhartt. The pants themselves were awesome. The fit was great. I really like them . But the wallet pocket wore a hole in it. never had a pair of jeans do this. then when I went to reorder for another pair they're not available. ANYWHERE. In my size. 36 X 30. Big fumble here by Carhartt. I'm literally FORCED to look elsewhere for the pant I want. Can't imagine I'm the only one.
The 5th pocket that's on the right pant leg. I'm assuming that its for a cellphone. problem is my cellphone doesn't fit and i don't have a large cellphone. the phone sticks out the top of the pocket unprotected. I'm afraid when I sit down the phone will fall out. so what good is the pocket if the phones don't fit. <br />Please make the leg pocket DEEPER..!
Fit as expected. Comfortable with a little stretch to them. They wash easily and so far have yet to stain. They aren’t too thick so I’m not sure of the longevity of the pants but the thin material definitely makes them more comfortable and increases range of movement.
The fit and comfort is perfect. I work in appliance repair so im up and down in all sorts of uncomfortable places and the pants perform perfectly.
we need more options with 28 inseam!
I should have read the negative reviews before ordering. I ordered 5 pairs of pants 3 five-pocket
I bought my first pair of Carhartt pants, about a year ago, and wow! These are awesome. They hold up much better than the jeans I was used to. No more jeans for me. The wear, the comfort, the pockets! I am hooked!
I went to your store in cherry hill nj. Tried these pants on 38x32. 3 pairs 3 different colors. They all fit completely different. Unreal. Now i have to buy junk dickies because at least their stuff fits. When i buy a 38x32 i expect it today be the same no matter what color i buy
I have just bought my 3rd pair of the Rigby's and I love them. They have the function of a "mild" utility pant without looking like it at all!
I've bought 5 pairs of these pants and they are the perfect pants for me. They are very comfortable while being durable enough to handle light-medium duty work. I'm a machine operator so I lean over and crawl into machines all day and since I work with food I have to wash my clothes after each wear. After 3 months at work with these pants my only complaint is they tend to shrink a tiny bit in the legs.
I got the new mineral red and it’s better looking in person. Really comfortable and I’ve gotten several positive comments on them.
Comfortable pants, fits perfect, softer than most pants of like materials
This is my second pair of these pants and I will be buying a third. Unlike some of the other Carhartt pants I've tried these run true to size and fit great.....no complaints at all!!
These pants are garbage anymore. All I do is return pants and order new ones over and over again. Fit is great and I used to love these pants, but every single pair I receive pull apart on the seam going up the rear. <br />Done with them, and I’m upset about it, because they were my favorite pants. Been wearing Carhartt for over 20 years. I guess no more.
I bought these for my husband. He loves them. They are durable<br />and comfortable.
My go-to pair of pants. Have them in several colors. Durable, great fit, survive several years of hard wear.
I purchased these, looking for a pant that could be worn on days in the office, but still not afraid to get dirty. Through the leg, these fit great, but the waist was much tighter than all of the other Carhartt's I've purchase
I love these pants, I live and work in California and these are my favorite work pants. Not to heavy or hot in the summer but still good for the winters here. Great flex and comfortable for sitting in traffic. I work with a lot of water and chemical systems and pants dry pretty fast if wet. I’ve purchased 4 different colors all 33x32 and all have the same fit to me and all are my exact size.
Love the Rigby work pants, I have 3 pair in the Hickory color and they are great and fit very well. I decided to get a pair in Gravel and Dark Coffee and the fit seemed to be the same but after 2 washes the Gravel
Once you find the right size they are very comfortable and flexible. Great pants to work in all day. I did however have to go up 2 sizes because of how small they run for some reason. I wish carharrt would fix their pants sizing and make all the pants the same. I have three pairs of different carharrt pants. 1 pair is a 34in waist, another is a 36in waist and this one I just purchased is a 38in waist.
Awesome pants ! <br />CArhartt ! Please make more 30-33 waist 28 length pants <br />I’m also a welder /forklift operator living in Arizona and these hold up well!!
No complaints. Exactly what I expected. Fit is true to size.
Disappointed in the sizing of these pants. I normally wear a 36 for a bit of a looser fit. Size 36 in these pants fit more like a 34 and I also agree with previous reviews where it seems like the same size pants in different colors do not fit the same. The pants seem very comfortable thru the legs but the waste sizing is definitely off.
I don't often treat myself to new work pants but the Carhartt name is synonymous with durability and I needed something tough. I love the look and feel of these pants- the Elm color is awesome! First day wearing them I got a small amount (size of a nickel) of spray foam insulation drip on the pant leg. I caught it quickly and knocked it right off, lightly scrubbed the area to knock off the small bits on the fabric and the beautiful color that I fell in love with came right off. I was hoping that these pants would hold up longer than the other brand I've worn for years and never had issues with the dye. It's a shame because the pants are great other than this issue.
I picked up a pair of these pants to use for field work in a warmer climate. While I knew that these pants would represent a downgrade in durability from a heavier style of canvas work pant, I have been pleasantly surprised with how they have held up after about four months of use. They are strong enough to withstand tearing brambles and prickers, but light enough to wear on a warm summer day. The relaxed fit and rugged flex features allow these pants to be comfortable when working on the ground for prolonged periods of time and are an excellent choice for days when I am on the move or will be getting in and out of my work vehicle frequently. My only major complaint with these pants is the depth of the “secure cell phone pocket”. I carry an iPhone 7 with a LifeProof case, and the cell phone pocket does not offer much space to hold my phone. If I am doing anything from a kneeling position, the phone wants to work its way out of the pocket. I’ve even had the phone start to come out of the pocket when climbing a steep set of stairs. It would be nice if these pockets were a bit deeper or topped off with a zipper closure. Although this cell phone pocket isn’t very functional, it hasn’t stopped me from picking up a second pair for next season. If you are looking for a comfortable and reasonably durable pair of pants, I would definitely look into this particular item.
I have several pairs of these pants because they fit me well and are very comfortable. However, if you like the durability of the duck canvas, you might be disappointed by Rigby 5-Pocket. I've had to replace these after about three years because holes form in the knees. Hole patches don't work all that well because of the stretch in the fabric (which is part of what makes them so comfortable).
Purchased the Rugby pants online from Carhartt. My husband wore for about 5 times, to work. They are wearing very quick. Across the front and on the seat of the pants. So don't know if they have changed some fabric/product Or we got some that have been sitting in a warehouse. Not the typical Carhartt experience.??
Wow! Who would think Carhartts would take the place of another brand in the office? Well I am here to tell you that I am rocking the Carharatt Rugged Flex Rigby pants everyday!
I would recommend to anyone who likes a nice balance of comfort and durability. The side pocket is a nice addition.
These pants are extremely comfortable and fit true to size. I am a huge fan of the flex pants, you can really move freely in them. They probably aren't as durable as the non flex pairs but they still feel like they will hold up and last in the work environment.
This are the best pair of work pants I’ve ever had. I have worked in the landscaping business going on 8 years and I finally bought a pair of these pants for work and have never been more pleased. They are durable yet have a little bit of flex in them which I love cause in the past have frequently blown out cheaper, less quality pants. They also fit perfect. I have trouble finding pants that fit me right in all aspects but not with these pants. I have no complaints on these pants and I recommend them to everyone. I don’t usually write reviews on things but this product and company is well deserving of it. Keep up the amazing work Carhartt! ????????
I'd like to start this off by saying these are some of the best pants I've ever owned. Good stretch pants can be tough to find, especially loose ones that don't claw to your legs overtime as they are continually washed and dried. However, there are a few flaws, as previously mentioned, like the wrinkling. These do wrinkle, but after you wear them for a bit the wrinkles will flatten, not a big deal. I ordered 2 pairs of black and one pair of brown, same size, and the blacks are much larger than the brown, I mean totally different measurements all around. From the waist, to the seat, inseam, leg opening, the blacks are large pants, which I actually prefer, whereas the browns look more like the model image, a slimmer / more tapered relaxed fit. I definitely wish the browns were larger like the blacks, and I can't speak for the greys or duck color. Not sure if this is a production flaw, or has anything to do with material. I'm more of a true 34-35 waist, but I order 36 because I like the waist area to be loose. The blacks are like oversized in the waist and the browns are more snug at the waist. See images below.
These seem like great pants but run small in the waist Every other work pant that I have is a 34 and I got a 35 waist for more room I. The thighs and they’re snug around my waste. I’ll still give them a shot and try to stretch them. Love Carhartt so you haven’t lost a customer.
Great pants. Plenty of room in the front and back pockets for my tools.
I've got four or five pairs now, and they cover a lot of ground. You can wear these at most offices. Work in the yard. Go to Eastern Market (hopefully soon.) Wear them camping. Travel overseas. Lightweight enough for summer, but sturdy enough for winter. I've ditched the Levis for these.
My favorite pants. Love the phone pocket and feel.
These are a bit snug-looking. They have good stretch though. They move well and work well for concealed carry. I like the different colors. I have the hickory and dark gray. They have held up well to many wears and washes.
Great pant, fit, feel, function are top notch. ONE Complaint MORE Color Options PLEASE!
Great pants fit great look great and overall great quality
Durable, comfortable, breathable, stylish, and fit great. Overall a great pair of work pants that you can wear anytime.
Definitely recommend. This is my third pair. Fit great and very durable. The flex and softer material Are a great upgrade without compromising durability. True to size.
Extremely annoying pants . Bought two of the same pants , one in each color . They were the same size but one runs large and the other runs extremely small . The fact that once you wash them they come out extremely wrinkled and it’s impossible to get the wrinkles out is more than enough of a reason to not buy pants from them.
I’ve bought 4 pairs of these pants. Originally I was buying them to try out as work pants. After wearing them for the first time I noticed how incredibly comfortable they turned out to be. Not to mention their really really durable as well. At the end of the day. These pants are good enough to be used for both work and play.
Great tough material that has just a little stretch.
I bought these for work. I struggle finding my size, being tall and slender, and I was thrilled to find these in my size. I work as a machinist so comfort and utility really matter to me. These pants fit great and are easily my most comfortable pair of pants I own even out side of work. I would highly recommend these to anyone who needs comfortable work pants that will hold up. (Couldn't edit the fit part of the review but I would say the inseam runs a little bigger than usual but in my case works to my advantage)
I've been wearing the washed duck version of the 5 pocket work pants on job sites across the country for 10 years now and I love them. They are durable, fit perfect especially at the thigh and boot, and are stylish enough to wear in the office. Very disappointed the material has been replaced with the 'flex' technology. These new versions are light duty, thin, and are too loose at the thigh/tight at the boot. I will need to shop somewhere else until the washed duck 5-pockets pants (item #100096) are brought back.
I bought several pairs of these, I love the look/sizing as they are not as baggy as my past pairs of Carhartts. Unfortunately they have deteriorated very quickly, splitting at numerous points at the seams. I am a tradesperson but they aren't exactly being put through terrible conditions. <br /> So I would say don't spend on these as you will be headed back to the store in short order
An overall great work pant for the non-Summer months as they can be a bit warm in the summer humidity. I found the fit to be a bit smaller than what I typically wear in jeans so recommend being mindful of that. The 36” waist fit snuggly for me at 225lbs. and typically wearing 34” waist jeans.
I bought my first pair in the coffee color and liked them so much that I bought a send pair in hickory. I only wish there was wider selection of colors.
I have several pairs of these pants. They are great. Super comfortable and soft. They are not as durable as the tougher Carhartt pants but can be worn more casually instead of strictly a work pant. Very happy with these pants and will be buying more in the future.
I've had a pair of 5 pocket pants for a years. Very good pair of pants. I wish they came in a true carhartt brown color though. The "hickory" brown is close but it fades whitish over time.
There are no other work pants out there on the market that are as comfortable and as durable as these. They allow me the flexibility to do my job but are durable enough to not wear out
These are the best fitting pants I have ever brought
Well they lasted 11 days when I got them they were tight fit and I have pants all the same size and these were tight around the waist only the waist now today 11 days later the seam blew on on the left leg I was shoveling when it happened I don’t think I’ll be buying pants again from carhartt just jackets sorry guys they are not made like they used to Just. Be cautions when buying
These are the most comfortable and durable work pants I’ve owned, not to mention they look good too!
Love the fit of these jeans. Don't bind up on me, while not stretching out and getting sloppy, either. Wear 'em every day!
Great fit and comfortable for any work activity...Look nice enough to wear around the office, tough enough to take some abuse on the production floor
They fit true to "their" size, and are nice and comfortable.
These pants are great for all day everyday wear. As a welder they don't have any loose material to catch spatter so I have a pair for everyday.
I wore the Carhartt Rugged Flex Rigby Shorts from June to September last year without any issues. I ordered the comparable pant in the Fall (this one), but within a month the back pocket was worn through. The back pocket needs to be stronger.
I ordered a pair of these back in the end of last year in 36x30. Fit snug but loosen up through out the day. Just ordered two more pants in the same size, fit totally different. The waist is much larger then my first pair. Returning to size down.
The flex style was a great addition to the in my opinion best work pants out there. It allows more movement when working in tight spaces and is way more comfortable than the standard stiff work pants.
I've got large muscular thighs (Rugby) that usually bind up when bending or sitting. This usually requires me to size up on the waist and they still bind, but these so far have been great. I still sized up on the waste, but I'm able to move freely. I'd recommend this for anybody looking for more fitting work pant or casual pant that allows them to still move.
Light weight pants great for work the side pocket will hold a large company phone while working on ladders and roofs.
I like carhart products, however like previous review carhart never has sizes for taller big men in 36 length..same as bib overalls...Not everybody is 30-32-34 Length... you're losing a lot of customers because of this ...
These are great pants the have just enough flex but are still rugged enough to handle the job site, and They look great to wear for any occasion
Ordered two pair rugged flex rigby 5 pocket, I was happy with the look and fit , so i ordered two more of the same style and size. The pants in the second order were so tight i had to return them. I then ordered two more of the same style and size, and 1 pair fit ok and the other was way to tight. Come on carhartt, buy a ruler. Im done playing this game.
I wear these pants way more than I should and the added pockets are so useful for carrying almost anything you might need to!
I tried on these pants in size 40x30 and they were too tight. My normal size in all my other Carhartt pants (i have about 6 old pairs of all different styles) is 38x30. The pants did not fit. I went up a size to 42x30 and they fit great, very comfortable and look awesome. These were in Hickory color, so i thought i would get a pair in Gravel as well. I grabbed the exact same size and they were far too big, far is an understatement. so in case it was a one off pair, i tried on two other pairs in gravel and all were enormous! I went down a size and they were too tight. Why are the sizes so different in the different colors??? Because of this i don't feel i can buy a pair of carhartt pants online now, because you really have no idea what size would fit and what would not. you cannot base the size on another pair of pants that you own, not even the same pants in a different color! Carhartt, i have a ton of your stuff and i love your stuff, i really do, but issues like this are crazy! i wish you could do better because i really want to wear your clothes!!!
I would love this product. However at 6'4" I would need a 36-38 length. I have emailed carhartt and the simply aren't interested in making pants for the slightly taller than average working man. Disappointing
These will be the only pants I wear to work any more. They are comfortable to wear all day. Easily move and bend, I do a lot of climbing in constricted areas and these pants never bind or pinch.
Awesome pants! durable, comfortable and phone pocket is terrific!
I have been wearing Carhartt clothing for years. They discontinued the double knee twill pant that I normally wear so I decided to try these. The look and durability is good but the fit is poor. I ordered 2 pairs to try. The first pair fit perfectly, roomy and comfortable. The second a little different but ok. I decided to order 5 more pairs. 5 out of the 7 pairs fit differently as if there is no particular measurements for the fit at the factory. These are supposed to be relaxed fit but the legs are tight on some and relaxed on others. The material shrinks up after even a low drying cycle but tends to stretch a little once worn. Still the fit is more like a pair of skinny jeans rather than a relaxed fit work pant on the majority of the pairs I received. I have worn them for 3 months now and I am shopping for a replacement, again. At $40 each, I think they can do better.
Good pants, i have two pairs in 34/30, grey and brown that i mostly for work in the kitchen. The pant runs slimmer than the usual carhart parachute pants, but still leaves some room to move. The side pocket is wide enough to fit your hand in for getting stuff out, unlike the hammer/tool pockets on the traditional pants, so if you have some change or your keys in the pocket they can be easily accessed (i mostly use it for a quick dump pocket for pens, keys, change as it isn't quite big enough for a modern smartphone to fit fully in the pocket without worry of it falling out)<br /><br />And while i like the lightweight fabric, i would like to see some classic ducks pants in the relaxed fit, as i am not a big guy and the "original fit" just looks silly on me, and there is so much extra fabric that it gets in the way
I really love the fit and flexibility of these pants. I can’t quite comment on the durability just yet as I’ve only had them for a couple of weeks. My only criticism so far is the fifth pocket. It is nothing like the pocket on any other Carhart pants and is rather useless. It’s not deep enough for anything other than a little flip phone. Also the top of the pocket where the seams and reinforcement are gets all bunched up inside the pants. You end up with a big wadded up mess on the side of your leg. I usually like having the leg pockets on my Cathcart pants but the way this pocket is made, I would rather just not have a pocket there.
Most comfortable pair of work pants I’ve ever owned. Out works the competition by a long shot. WOnt ever wear another brand
This is my third pair, just picked up the new color black to add to my collection
Absolutely love the comfort of these pants. They've become my everyday choice!
They did a great job thank you very much
Super comfortable
I love how well these pants flex with my movements. I am a furniture maker and often find myself crouching around projects and these pants move without restrictions, and they are quite comfortable as well.
Just bought a pair, like the way they feel. Very comfortable though out the work day.
These are my favorite work pants. They fit great, move with you and are extra durable with the double front. They take a beating and still look great.
Absolutely the most comfortable work pants I've ever owned. I just wish it resisted stains a little better.
Very nice well constructed pants that fit true to size. More tapered pant than you would expect from Carhartt. They did shrink a bit when washed. Overall would recommend
Best pants I’ve owned so far
Good quality and a great fit.
Ordered my size, same size I wear in all my other Carhartt pants, and they are easily 2 inches too short. They look like high waters. I don't wear them often(maybe 10 times in 8 months), but the color is still faded. Also the material is thin, which I somewhat expected being a flex fit, but these wouldn't hold up to frequent wear. Rating would have been higher if it wasn't for them being so short.
Great pants. Super durable and comfortable
I got these for work because of the flex, I like the ability to move freely these pants provide. I don't feel like the fit is good, one size is just too big for me, the other too small. Other than that, the pants seem durable and of good quality. I prefer the cryders but these are a good pant too.
Very light and breathable but also rugged.
Not a lot of flex in the material, wish the leg opening was bigger, wrinkles fairly easy, must remove from drier immediately
Purchased these for my 21 year old grandson for work pants. He loves the fit and everything about the pant.
I find thsee Carhartt work jeans very comfortable I bought 3 pair and I do plan on buying more in the future once these I got wear out if they ever do because I find Carhartt clothing so durable and relaxing that if I would say that Carhartt done the job Right they have Pride in their work.
I bought a pair just to try them. So I bought a pair of the hickory and they didn't fit the same. I am very pleased with the pants, might be buying another pair in the future.
Looking for a great work plant that’s not stiff and takes weeks to break in. Here they are! Didn’t even wash them first . Have three pair now.
Great pants! They bridge the gap between blue jeans and traditional khakis perfectly. Imonly wish Carhhart offered these in more colors.
These pants are a steal. The fit is right.Very soft feel. The flex is noticeable
Best jeans Ive got from carhartt so far. Best fit forMe also. Im a big guy. 65 and 300 fit great and durable. Hope more colors are coming soon.
These are the absolute best work pants I have ever had. I WILL be getting more in the future.
Great pants !!!!!
Great pants for work, lite weight and im bery impressed on how much it stretches
Definitely one of my favorite CARHARTT products! They are so comfortable with the “Rugged Flex Technology” A few months ago I had one pair of these, I now have 8. These pants are a game changer with their performance and quality. One of my favorite things with the pants is the versatility of them. The pants have a look that you can not only work in comfortably and effectively, but dress them up for a night out on the town or dress them down with some chucks and a t-shirt. The pants fit extremely well!! They say relaxed-fit, but have more of a straight cut look and feel without loosing the mobility of a looser fitting pant! Carhartt definitely raised the bar with these pants! <br /><br />I would love to see home additional color options in these, definitely need the DARK CEDAR, a NAVY, a Olive Green maybe even a white or egret color for “painters” or just a sleek color you can dress it up with
The fit true and comfy Light weight and fairly durable. Looking to get another pair already cause I love the fit and comfort.
Have been a long time wearer of another style Carhartt pant that has been discontinued. Thought I'd give these Rigby 5 Pocket pants a try. I ordered two pair; Hickory and Gravel in 33" x 34". I received both pair and tried on the Hickory first. Good initial fit. The Gravel pair were way to tight in the waist to the point I could barely button them. I washed the Hickory pair and they still fit very well. Not very satisfied that the same pants in different colors fit so differently. Not likely to order from Carhartt directly again.
Love these pants, went to order more in tan and in true Carhart fashion they are being discontinued in this color. I have the Rigby Flex Pants in model number 102291 and they don't fit the same as these. I have muscular legs and a smaller waist so finding pants that fit is really difficult and these were great.
I had ordered these for my boyfriend a while ago when he was on the hunt for the perfect work pants. He loved them so much that we had to order more. We actually ended up at our local store to get a couple of pairs so he didn't have to wait for them to ship :) They are perfect for construction - paired with the Carhartt Baseforce Xtreme Lightweight boxer briefs!!
These are the perfect warm weather pant. Not paper thin, and not the heavy bulk of blue jeans. I just wish they came in more colors.
True to size and plenty of flex for working in
Fantastic pant for the price
Perfect work pant!
Very comftorable and durable
I would definitely recommend these! They are so comfortable and the rugged flex makes a world of a difference when you need to be moving around a lot.
Both my boys absolutely LOVE these pants. They both work on vehicles
I've had pants from all major manufacturers of rugged work pants, and these surpass them all. I have three pairs of these and just ordered two more. They stay true to size, don't lose their shape in the wash and can be worn in the field or in a boardroom with no extra work. I've worn them with an oxford and sweater to work and a flannel or hoodie on the weekends. I'd highly recommend.
Rugged quality work pants.
Since my work wardrobe is almost exclusively Carhartt, I found that these are a great compliment for more casual wear. I wouldn't expect these to hold up like the heavier duck material, but I purchased these for comfort with Carhartt quality, which is exactly what I got.
Fit great and very comfortable but aren't holding up. I wear them most days for work and there is significant wear on the pocket where I keep my phone and on the knees.
Just what I was looking for, I am a Carhartt fan, just wish it was U.S. made.
I bought 3 pairs and 2 of them had threads coming off the inner calf seam.<br />They do run long, about an inch, compared to every other brand I wear.<br />Otherwise, I really like these pants. Many pants either fit really tight or really loose on my slim build. These found the perfedct middle ground, as well as offering a slight stretch. I also like the 5th pocket because I carry a multitool and a flashlight at work. It also fits my cell phone so I don't have to fish it out of a front pocket when sitting down.<br /><br />If they fix the thread issue, and maybe got the length in line with every other major brand, they would be the best pants I've owned.
fit perfect, this is my third pair, these are great comfortable pants for work or everyday wear, look good.
I love Carhartt, the sizes are the same. You don't have to try on every pair of pants to make sure they fit. They look and feel really nice.
These are my first pair of Carhartt pants. I own the bibs and numerous shirts so I figured it was time. These things are a game changer. Light, stretchy, and tough. I am done with regular jeans. <br /><br />Thank You Carhartt!
Love the fit. Slim fit, but roomy.
Very comfortable
These are light enough for Florida weather and flex while I work. Phone in my front pocket really bothers me when I sit or bend over so I like the phone pocket; wish it was a bit deeper. I'd rather wear these that blue jeans. Spandex is great stuff. Great fit but does fade. Will buy more!
I hesitate to write a review because I don't want carhartt to sell out before I order more.
These are the best Carhartt pants I have ever worn. They work for all of my work settings. They have replaced my jeans. Not a fan of the cell phone pocket. Kill that and you would have the greatest Carhartts ever made.
Would be awesome if you could have the same exact pants without the fith pocket. I could wear them to work then. Holler if you change that. It's all I'd wear. Mike
I like these work jeans for the summers in Florida.<br />The one draw back is the useless cell phone pocket. It isn't wide or deep enough for "smart phones". These jeans without this pocket would be great.
I own two pair of these pants. The first pair I used for a lot of labor intensive work. They're holding up very well with the exception of a few small tears and like another review has said, they faded really badly within a few months. The second pair are fairly new and are doing great. Will definitely buy more but am concerned with the amount of fading as I do like to wear them outside of work.
Very well made, and comfortable.
I can't give you a good rating if your bull points are strong belt loops and you are missing them.... they obviously served enough of a purpose to be placed in the spots they are located so you can have ones missing on the back left side. Also if you're marketing to working class people don't give us a sub standard product. I'm assuming its a one off since I've had good stuff in the past, but it gets to me especially since I didn't notice until halfway through my first day of wearing them when my belt kept riding up.
Fit a little tight, but comfortable
These pants fit great and look very good. The user should fall somewhere between the guy that swings the hammer and the CEO. They feel and look very high quality. I have not owned them long enough to speak to the durability but I am sure i will have them in 10 years.
Love the pants! This is the second pair. Only complaint would be that the color fades quite bad.
I'm a 6'2", 190lbs skinny-strong guy but these pants fit very well around the waist, thighs, and calves. Good, durable fit with a good style to it!
Boy did you hit a home run with this style. I love these dungarees. Or work pants as I call them. They are one of the most comfortable pair of pants I own, tying a pair of long ago discontinued Levis flex jeans I also own. The fit is tailor made for me. These are great for warm weather wearing. I hope the durability is there as I cannot remark about that yet. Size seems very true to fit. So order your right size as these will give a little around the waist so don't oversize these. I wish the bottoms were a little tighter, so please consider that Carhartt and also maybe introducing these in a denim material with same flex and fit and you would have the best you can buy in comfort and fit anywhere.
I'm a big guy I wear a size 40/30 and the fit good and flex really nice. The only thing that I wish were different is if I had more room around my calf muscle's. Other than that I have no complaints.
Love the pants but my new ones ride high in front and rub my stomach. I have other pairs exact brand and style but each fit a little different.
Great pair of pants
These are the lightest flexible pants I've owned. No binding or pinching and they keep the plumber issues under wraps
Pants ripped IN THE WASHER after having for a few months. Not very happy about this.
fits great and works great for the landscaping field, had mine for 4 months working 5 days a week give or take a couple days in the months and haven't had any problems with them, i recommend these to all people in landscaping field and truly love these pants
Great fit, great looks. <br />These are my favorite Carhartt work pants
the pants are great, they are Carhartts
I absolutely love these work pants, they stretch just enough that I never have to worry about the crotch ripping on me when I climb into the machine. They are very rugged and tough from what I can tell and have lasted me a couple of months now. Ordered 3 pairs!
I shoulda bought three pairs instead of just one!!
Super light and durable! Love them Iam def ordering more!
He loves them
This shrunk h avidly and now looks weird on me.confortable though and also functional
I purchased two pairs of the Rigby 5-pocket work pants at the end of January. Exactly one month later, both pairs have multiple pulls and runs in the fabric. One pair has a run about 4-inches long down the leg. I called Carhartt customer service and they assured me that it was a defect and not indicative of the quality of the product. They agreed to send me a shipping label to return them for inspection/replacement under warranty. I went ahead and ordered two more pairs to wear in the mean time. When the new pants arrived, I inspected them much more closely. Sure enough, one of the pairs has a two inch run in it brand new shipped directly from Carhartt. This product is made in Nicaragua and as far as I am concerned, it should stay there.
light weight and strechy which allows you to move freely while working, didn't hold up as long in the construction field as the other pants carhartt has out there but this one is very comfortable and i will buy again

I like the fit of the pant and how they look. Unfortunately, after the second wash holes developed in the upper thigh region.
