The Force Utility Legging features:
I really like these leggings. They look and feel great the waist comes up and they don’t come down.
These are tough! I’m reluctant to wear anything like leggings at risk of them getting pierced or ripped (and lead to the same happening to my skin), but even with denim or work pants, the shins and knees suffer and wear through. My first pair of these is at least a year old and still holding up like new. The double layer hits just where I experience the most wear/tear, magically these don’t even have any snags despite coming in contact with wood shards, metal, happy pups, etc. I’m only 5’4 so I do get a little bunching around the ankles, but it actually works out great for times I’d prefer to put them over boots, additionally I have things on my shins and ankles during summer, but “safety first” and I need to, then being a bit longer and bunched actually works out very well for myself. Finally, the enhanced mobility is priceless, especially for a plus sized female, I don’t have any concerns of being limited when crouching, climbing, etc.
I love these leggings. The fabric is substantial and they look more like dress pants than leggings. I love the extra fabric in the knee when sitting. The pockets are great too. I have gray and black and hooe to order another color.
Fit great, TTS, durable, and are actually flattering.
Fit great. Are basically rugged leggings. Love them!
I love the black ones and ordered another black pair and the oyster gray color. Just FYI, the oyster gray is like a half inch shorter than the black ones - IDK why that would be but for me it made a huge difference and I have to return the gray and order a tall. For reference I am 5'7, 175# and 28/29 (and sometimes 30) inseams are always too short and 32/33 inseams can sometimes be a little long. The black XL regular inseam fit perfectly. The pockets are perfect and don't make me look too big in hips which pants with pockets can sometimes do. I can wear them with a sweater to dress up or a sweatshirt to dress down, I love them and they are soooo comfortable
These leggings are really thick good quality. They will last forever.
My favorite pants by a long shot. I have one pair of each color and two black pair. I work in the everyday. Carhartt nailed it with these pants. They are comfortable, indestructible, and stylish.
Fantastic leggings for active physical work use. Reinforced knee is very effective. Great fit, true to size. Love the comfortable high rise waist. Definitely recommend!!!
I like these. They are a heavier legging and I have a smaller waist. The med fit well in waist but could have used large in legs. I go about 5’7 165 and normally would pick large but was worried waste would be too loose and have to keep hiking them up. They hold older women in and look bit more like asking pant. Priced a bit high but I will keep. Definitely great for outside work
this is my 2nd pair. i was washing my other pair twice a week because i wear them so often. i get compliments on these every time i wear them. they’re great for work, hiking, yard work, whatever. my favorite for sure!
I love the concept of a super comfortable work pant. My only issue is they don’t stay up. I’m constantly pulling them up light pant hose!
I like everything about these leggings. I like how sturdy and substantial the fabric is. I love the pockets. The fit is great. I feel dressed and ready for anything when I wear them, which is nearly every day. I have one beef: they were available in “short” size range, with a shorter inseam. Evidently they’re not offered that way now?? The average American woman is 5’4” and as we age we shrink 1-2”. Carhartt, bring back the short inseam option!!
I LOVE these pants! I may get another pair, in another color, and get a pair as a gift for my daughter. Very comfy, tough, and look great!
These are perfect! Very durable, yet stylish. They have a great shape and stretch. And my husband says they make my butt look good!
Sturdy leggings with pockets (lil pocket for pocket knife and the other fits my Galaxy Note9 snuggly! I bought to use on my motorbike, when it is too hot for jeans. But these are so comfortable that i wear them whenever. They wash nice. I will be buying the other colours. =)
Love them! These are great for riding my horses in!
I use them for upland hunting and love their versatility and weight/material for mid-season.
They fit my body perfectly and are comfortable with durability.
I love the fit of these pants. I ordered them in a regular small. They are snug but also stretch, so depending on the weather I'll either wear them as is or I'll put a baselayer under them.
I wear these for my dog walking biz. I need the pockets, a bit of warmth, and fabric that stays in place. These cover all that
Love the pants (I own 6 pairs) I just wished these were higher waisted! Obviously I still buy them! Great for work in a kitchen and for any outdoor activity!! Highly recommend these!!(Even for us plus sized figures)
I am 6’0, 145lbs and the small tall fits like a glove. That being said, they have enough give in them to allow movement while working. I wore these to my landscaping job nearly every day and they are very functional as well as stylish. Easy to wash, too! I have never had an issue getting dirt out of the fabric.<br />I like them so much that I have them in 4 colors and periodically check the website to see if any new colors have come out. I literally just ordered some in Blackberry!
Unfortunately, I had to return these pants. They are nice looking but are not losses nicely. They have no stretch or give. Very stiff and tight. Size way up!! Don’t size like you do leggings, size like a pair of jeans or even a size up from that. The colour was so beautiful though, sad they didn’t work out!
Nice stretch and fairly well made. My only issue is that I would like the waist to be a bit higher and they really need a zipper for easy on and off. The waist is hard to get over the hips. They fit well once you can get them over your hips.
The fit is comfortable and they seem durable. But the plus size ones are so wildly short! Like short short. They come mid calf on me (I’m 6’) that’s not something that can be covered up with some tall socks this is an issue across the board with The leggings. Please consider making the 3x in a tall as well. Cuz this isn’t even funny how short these are. If you are tall and fat you need to pass on these.
Love them so much I had to get all colors.
Comfortable and great to work in.
My fiance loved them and they came quickly, thanks !
The leggings are very nice but surprisingly tight around ankles and I’ve got very skinny chicken legs.
I like the way they fit. However, I had to go up a size. I am usually a size 4-6, but it was hard to get them up. I did have to return them for a bigger size. They are not as stretchy and fit like an actual work pants. If you have a bottom like i do, go up a size. the waist doesnt stretch as much.
Best leggings ever! I work on a farm and it’s nice to have fitting, durable pants to do all the tasks in! Highly recommend!
Wife loves loves these. And I can tell you they look great on her ??
These are fabulous! Great fit, great feel. I want them in every color.
The pants have one problem: the top of the waist is very tight, but the hip and legs all fit fine. Weird design.
These are the best work pants ever! Super comfy and flexible but very sturdy. They also wash really well. Love them!
Love the cut, the fabric, and most of all- the pockets:)
The pants are made of quality material to work and play outdoors. I like that you included all the pockets on the pants. Thank you for designing this style of pant.
I am an athletic build with a little extra weight around my stomach. These fit well, stayed put, and the pockets were functional while horseback riding.
Love these leggings. I’m tall and they are long enough and fit perfectly.
I love them. They're super comfortable and durable. They don't feel stretched or saggy by the end of the day. They seem like they'll last a long time.
A bit too long
OMG I love these more than I thought I would. So very comfortable and they go with a lot of my clothes. If you made them in a longer length, I would buy them as well!!!
Super comfortable and sturdy. Love the extra pockets for gear!
They fit well and stay up. I would like there to be a short offered in the length.
Love ?? Love ???? LOVE ?? ???? I ordered XL from the size chart and had to reorder in a Large which is still a little roomy. I think they run large . I have these in black and brown and would highly recommend that you buy them
I love these! The color the fit the feel! And they absorb the sweat which is nice!
I bought two pairs of these a month ago and have been living in them ever since. They are supremely comfortable, sharp enough to pass as business casual, and extremely well made.<br /><br /> I install fine art for a living and need to look like a professional but work like a laborer. I've recommended them to all my colleagues and they are equally enthusiastic. I think I'll get a couple more pairs!
Love these got two pair, fit is good great pant for ATV ridding
I know these will be amazing this winter !! Very well put together!
I bought these for my wife. She loves these leggings. They are well made. She now has three pairs. I think they look great on her.
Utility legging was exactly as shown in picture. Durable, easy to work in, retains shape. I’m very particular about quality and functionality. I would recommend this product.
Great sturdy pants. The material feels solid and won't pill easily. However, I ordered an XS and it was still long and large on me. Please make petite sizes.
I love these pants and have them in black and brown. They’re comfortable and really sturdy. I just wore them for a weekend backpacking trip—perfect.
These leggings are very durable. I wear them at work, in my yard and hiking. I love the double knees. The only thing I would change is the waist band.
I love them.
I was excited to try these as a change from heavier work pants. I definitely wasn't expecting yoga pants nor canvas and these are neither. They are durable enough for moving around doing rough jobs, but don't protect your legs from rocks like jeans would. The material is pretty scratchy and they do not breathe so I find them pretty uncomfortable in the heat, which is unfortunate because that's why I wanted them. They also are a bit loose for leggings but I think a size smaller would have been too tight. The knee gussets are too high. I guess they allow the knee to bend easily but the seam is in the middle of my kneecap and slightly comfortable when I'm kneeling. Overall I'm happy with how they look and like the change of type of work pants, but these will probably end up more of a long John for the winter for me.
Big fan of these pants! I use them for hiking, yard work, and riding horses. Durable and comfortable.
Very nice but a little tight in the waist. Love the texture and fit everywhere else.m
I think they are going to be very sturdy and they look good too. They aren’t as stretchy as you envision a pair of leggings to be but with the weight of the material, they couldn’t be too stretchy and still be durable. Also I am 5’ 10.5” and have a hard time finding leggings long enough. These are plenty long in Tall.
They are a little long for me, but I can easily fold up the bottom and it isn't bulky or uncomfortable. They work great for riding as well. Wasn't sure if they'd be slippery, but I've ridden long days in them and they aren't slippery or binding. Great pockets. Was unsure if the side pocket would securely hold the phone, but it does. It did not come out while riding. Some pull on pants similar to these slip/ride down like old pantyhose, but these do not. The waistband is wide enough to keep them securely in place.
Have to fight to get these over my hips, there’s just no give at the waistband. But when I finally get them on, they fit like a dream, and look great. Very comfortable and sturdy, too. A
I really love these pants for riding- The side pocket is perfect for my phone and the wicking and stretch make them comfortable too. The size runs pretty true for me.
As a women in heavy highway construction for over 10 years. These have been by far the best pants/leggings I've ever worn. First and foremost They last!! So far a single pair has lasted over a year and a half wearing two days a week, through a 30lb weight fluctuation, Chub rub, rain, snow, mud, concrete, and asphalt. And a Plus they're flattering, comfortable, never fall down And the best part, the pockets are reinforced and won't ever let you down. They're so good I have a pair in every color!
I am SO HAPPY I bought 3 pairs. Being a tall woman, our leggings options are super limited. Being able to find WORK PANTS that are THIS CUTE AND DURABLE. Honestly I’m so so happy
These leggings are made with a thick, quality material. I can tell these will not snag on branches walking through the woods or split at the seams squatting. <br />For reference, I am 5’9” 165lbs and got the Medium tall which fit almost perfect..just a hair bit big around the waist and a big long. I am usually a size 27 waist and 34” inseam. 6 in LuLu leggings. Hope this helps someone!
They are the best pants for outside barn work .. I have 3 pair already.. Can’t say enough about there comfort and warmth. <br /><br />Thanks<br />Sheila
Great pants fit well a little tight to pull over hips should have a small zipper I bought the discontinued color $30 I would like more colors but I won’t pay $70
Easy on, easy off, super comfy and so easy to move in. I love them. I think I’ll order two more pair.
These look awesome. My only gripe is that the waistband isn’t very stretchy, so it’s a bit tight to get over my hips. Once they are on, they are very comfortable, but it’s not much fun pulling them on. Maybe this will loosen with time? The pockets are great. The heavier fabric is great for tough garden work.
Rugged and comfortable. Love these leggings!
I didn't like them for work. I found them to be uncomfortable, hot and a lot more restrictive than I thought they would be. I returned them for a refund.
Fit was a bit large but seemed to be made well
Fit great and wash well. Still look new after 4 washing’s!
Love, love, love the comfort and look. And arrival occurred when stated
Bought to wear on international flights. Comfortable and functional for my needs.
Wife loves them. Fit well and don’t get a lot of burrs on them!!
I like the look and feel. I am hoping the waistband stays up..it seems like it isn't quite tight enough
Love love love love durable only thing is if you loose weight they kind of bunch in the frontal area
My tummy is the most frustrating part. The band in the pants is too tight around my belly. It fits everywhere else perfectly but the band is just in the wrong place for the stomach.
I’m giving it two stars because 1) the size chart is off, it runs small 2) there is barely any stretch to it 3) the pockets are small and not very deep and 4) the material is sturdy but rough and the seams caused a small area of my waist to get rubbed raw and started bleeding by the end of my work day.
I love these tights! Thicker than most, definitely a cooler weather option. Plan to wear them hiking/camping. The waist is a little big. I will add an elastic band inside the waistband
Great product, my wife loves them!
These are perfect for a lot of movement and still so comfortable. Look great and professional and just what I needed!! I will be buying more wish they had more colors!!!
Once on, the leggings fit fine, though a little long for my short legs.<br />My largest concern has been the waist band. I had a hard time getting the leggings on over my hips the first few times. The waist band does not stretch as well as the rest of the leggings. So, it is an effort to get them on and off. Once on, they feel fine. I have noticed some loosening as I wear them more. So, they have gotten progressively easier to wear.
Awesome but wish could be a little less pricey
Great leggings for doing barn chores - a teeny bit tight at the waist if you have a tummy, but they do not ride down like other leggings. Pockets are perfectly placed, the material is think but not too hot even in summer. Overall very pleased and will probably get more! I do wish they had some more colors.
Great fit, and fabric wright. Stylish and comfortable.
These are great!
I LOVE these leggings. They are good durable material, and look really nice. The pockets are exactly what I want to put my phone and other items in. Perfect!!
Not as tight or cute as the photo. I’d go a size smaller but then the waist would be smaller too. I don’t normally have this problem with other pants.
I’m not much of a leggings person (nor do I write many reviews), but I love these pants. I live in Northwest Alaska and do a lot of outdoor activities. They are already my go-to pants for our outdoor excursions, whether it’s sunny and warm or drizzling and cold and windy. They are relatively wind resistant, dry quickly when they get wet, and are super comfortable all around. They are also pretty flattering for some of my larger body parts. ;) Plus they have several pockets on the side, one for my oversized phone and one for my buck knife. The material and quality of the design feels like it will withstand some abuse, which is needed for my lifestyle.
I wear these for work in a kitchen. They resist stains and are breathable. I love the pockets on the side of the leg. The only thing they are missing are belt loops or a loop near a pocket for keys and id badges.
Love the utility legging. I will definitely buy more.
These are my go-to pants for field work in arctic Alaska. They are stretchy, durable, and have good pockets for leggings, including a phone pocket. They fit nicely under hip waders. I've owned mine for a year, and they've held up pretty well, though the phone pocket is a bit stretched out now. Overall, pretty great pants; HOWEVER, like other reviewers have mentioned, they really need belt loops for things like holsters, hip waders, and other accoutrements I need for outdoor work. <br /><br />Size-wise, I'm 5'4" and 135. I typically take a 6 in pants and found the mediums fit just right in the thighs and calves but were a little loose in the waist. The regular inseam worked for me. Despite the lack of belt loops, I just ordered a second pair in brown. Keep improving these, Carhart! You're on the right track.
These are nice leggings but they are not true to size. I had previously bought them in a store in an XL, and they were much too big, but I liked them a lot. So I ordered 2 pairs in a L here online, and I can’t even pull them up. <br />They’re very tight in the leg, to the point of feeling like I was pulling up thick panty-hose, and won’t go over my bottom. I like them, but I couldn’t wear them so I gave them away.
5'11" ~200 lbs: ordered tall, large<br /><br />First, these are one of the best fieldwork pants I have ever owned. I have tried hiking and other work pants, but these are the most comfortable! The pockets are roomy; it is breathable (a must for the southeast US) and durable enough to walk through blackberry patches with little pain. I can move freely, traveling through the woods and stepping over downed trees. <br /><br />The ONLY reason I gave a 4/5 is that they need belt loops making these leggings more versatile. As these are worn, they slide down if you have heavy things in your pockets. This summer, I had to carry a military-grade radio which I clipped to my back pocket. As the day progressed, and especially when I had to wear these for a second day before being able to wash them, they slid down, and I had to adjust them throughout the day. If there were loops, adding a belt would have prevented this issue.
I always struggle to find leggings that DON'T have a waist gap. I'm 5'10", 150lbs, and I have a small waist with hips and gluts and quads... athletic build I guess. I ordered a M and a S with my fingers crossed that one of the sizes would work. The S is tight going up and over the widest part and seem to have the least gap. I didn't even bother to try on the M, it's going to be returend. After wearing the leggings for a 12 hour shift I did notice that I needed to keep pulling them up. I'm slightly disappointed in that however they are very durable and functional for work... and stylish. I did get a couple of complements and surpirsed comments that something this stylish looking is from Carhartts. lol.
These are my third pair of these pants. I wear them a lot. I'm thrilled they are making them in colors other than black. They fit great and don't slide down when I bend over. I order a tall size, even though I'm only 5'6" so that the rise is higher and legs longer, and its perfect.
I'm a carpenter. I've worn these four times and the thread in both of the front pockets is coming loose. I only keep my phone and gloves in those pocket.
The ONLY reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I wish that these leggings had belt loops!!!! They are perfect in every other aspect, aside from the fact that with even the slightest movement, they start to fall down and sag which is not comfortable or flattering. These need belt loops! But they are very comfortable and durable none the less.
These things are rugged! But still flattering and very comfortable. I live in these in the colder months, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Love all the pockets! Only complaint is that I want them in more colors!
Perfect fit once you figure out what size and length you need!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these leggings! My husband bought them for me in all colors, and they are THE most comfy pants! Carhartt is awesome with their free shipping, free returns, and 25% discount for military and first responders! This Navy girl LOVES Carhartt!
Love my mid weight utility leggings. Enough pockets to hold several items within easy reach. Flexible material. Would definitely purchase another pair.
I love these and wish they had even more colors to offer!
Stretchy, durable and good looking. A little big in the waist for me but I tend to be thicker in the bum and thighs.
These are my new favorite pants. They are comfortable. Easy to put on. Perfect amount of pockets. I already ordered another pair but in a different color. If you had more color options, I would order every single color you offered.
These pants protected me from road rash in a motorcycle accident where a driver t boned me because she didn't wait until the road was clear. I would have been hurt much worse and have road rash on my arms and shoulder. I was wearing a helmet too.
I find them exactly as described. Very satisfied. I would have ordered the short inseam if it was not sold out. I'll just hem these.
good quality and durable
Small is too small, medium is too big in the hips.<br />The small fit but the top seam was too small. when I spoke with an employee at Cabela's they said they've had a lot of complaints regarding this. Super disappointed.
Love these leggings! Have used for heavy yard work, lots of bending, hiking and rock climbing. They hold their shape, don’t bag, and the double knee is really useful. I’m going to order a pair of the lighter weight version as well. <br />They do take some serious wriggling to get up and over hips, but are really comfortable.
Not Stretchy. It is a nice shape though. It only work for a skinny person. I am average but large size still not fit.
I absolutely loved how they felt when I put them on the first morning. As I wore them they stretched throughout the day and I kept pulling them up all afternoon. <br />I washed them in hopes of shrinking them a little. Well that was a fail since I shrunk them too much. They were never the same. Then I ordered another pair in a smaller size and they were to small. Returned them.
I loved mine and bought a pair for our daughter also. She started me on Carhartt and I am becoming a believer. You really better like what you buy, because it is going to last a really long time. Great working in the yard this winter and just returned from a 4 day hike and the functionality and comfort was excellent. All of the pockets came in handy on the trail and others in the group were asking about them. I am 5'7" and bought the long version, but probably didn't need to. Our daughter is 5'11" XS and the long worked for her too.
I live on a farm and work at a farm store and I can honestly say as someone who wears jeans for almost any chores or work these are the best pants I've ever owned. And can we just talk about all the pockets!
Love the leggings, perfect for landscaping work. Please make these in a GREY color!! Almost perfect work pants, BUT...the izing could use somw work. The waistband is tight and inconsistent between the light and mid weight styles. Large waistband fits me perfect, but pants and crotch are baggy. Medium pants fit perfect, but waistband is tight. Making due with the medium mid-weight pants, but neither size in the light weight pants worked, had to return.<br /><br />Otherwise, LOVE the fabric, love the durability, love the pockets, love the style! Would love a grey color too!!
overall they are great and I would order again. I have a similar pair from Caterpillar. They stay up better. I am heavy set. 5ft 6, size XL /16 in most things. These tend to have to be pulled up a little more often than I would like. Maybe they can reevaluate the waist band situation and make it a little taller so they stay up. But they definitely stay up better than some other pants out there . I am in and out of a truck all day helping my husband haul milk, so also bending over quite a bit picking up hoses off the ground.
Love, love, love these! Perfect fit I have a 36” inseam and the tall size is just right. Nice and sturdy yet comfortable.
When I first tried them on I felt they were too tight at my waist. I was going to return them and changed my mind. When I wore them I fell in love. I hang wallpaper. The back pockets hold my tools. Best invention ever. I am buying more.
Super high quality. Love the fit.
I got my regular size L. Definitely need and XL. Not going to return since I've been working out, but size up if you decide to buy. They also don't do exchanges. You must send your pair back..once recieved send the money back to your card. Then you can buy the correct size.
They fit great and have held up great
They are shaped oddly, and don't really taper inward at the waist so these tend to slide down. Not wild about the fit but putting up with it because they are otherwise tough and useful. Just wish I didn't constantly hace to tug the waist back up.
Excellent leggings, most importantly they have a pockets!!
I am happy with the fit of the leggings as well as the thickness of the material (not too thin, not too thick). The leggings seem to wash well and hold their shape. I am planning to purchase a second pair.
LOVE these!! Very cute and durable. Fit super well and very flattering. I'm 5'5" about 125 and the size small is perfect! Not too baggy but plenty of room to move around. I was a tiny disappointed that the "dark coffee" color was more of a taupe vs. chocolate brown.
I love them! I have all three colors and wish they came in more colors!
These leggings were very cute in person but are cut skinny and not meant for a curvy body type.
These leggings are great! The medium fits me perfectly (5'8", 155lbs). They are well made and will hopefully hold up to use, plus they have nice sized pockets.
I'm not a leggings fan, but I was looking for some versatile work pants. I wore these in Honduras on a construction missions trip and they were amazing! I was able to squat and climb around with ease. They are a bit stiff/tight to get on, but once they are on they stay in place and don't fall down. I love the pockets, but my favorite part is the reinforced knees! I could crawl around on the tin roof without burning my knees. Thanks, Carhartt!
Great product. Great base layer as well. Can’t wait to see how the hold up.
SO happy that I bought these! Warm enough for 3 miles run/walk in 30 degrees, and garden, and comfy enough for plumbing fixes!! I will get another pair. Is there a green?? I am not skinny and these fit great. Taking them overseas for hiking.
These are my new favorite leggings! They fit great, and are super stretchy and durable. Worth every penny.
Love these pants!!! There are comfortable and durable for training dogs
I bought these to wear as work pants (in the big Blue and Yellow box store). I was attracted by the extra pockets and reinforced knees. The fit is true to size and they are extremely comfortable. I just wish they had a belt loop at the waist to attach keys or anything on a clip to.
I love these! I bought them for cold weather mountain biking and hiking and they have not disappointed! They stretched out just enough to not be skin tight. I bought a medium and usually wear an 8 (5'4", 150 lbs). They are about 1 1/2" too long, but otherwise perfect.
Excellent as winter hiking tights- rugged
Bought them for gf for general work around the house she turned into a Home improvement Hottie instantly, she now goes into the garage for hours to work on things and asks me to bring her beer while she works in her car
Not flattering. Rear pockets are uneven, far apart, and make my butt look enormous.
Love'em they're so comfortable especially when you're doing a lot of labor work on a lot of acreages. They're durable, look great, feel good and look nice...you can dress them up too.
I don’t like the material, they don’t stretch much at all.
Love the feel. Very comfortable. Great for work or everyday wear.
I love these! I work in a warehouse and need a thicker pant - but I hate jeans. <br />I’m 5’2, 180lb…shorty and curvy! The large fit me perfectly and do provide a bit of tummy control, but not so much it’s not comfortable to sit down. <br /><br />My biggest complaint is there are no loops anywhere to hook my name tag on.
Sent them back, waiting for a refund. Didn’t like the style on me and the feel of the fabric.
These pants are GREAT - work sturdy AND comfortable too. They require a bit of a TUG to pop over my rump, but once they’re up they are amazing. That tug gets easier as they relax.
Love love love love
I really love both my my light weight and my medium weight leggings. They fit so well and are very comfortable. I just wish you would come out with some more colors. I would order more if you did.<br />Sincerely, Barbara Neal.
Didn’t like the fit. Frumpy on the top. Made me look like I had a pooch. And the legs were super tight. I’m tall- 6’ tall. I got the longs which were great in length. The butt and top were the problem. I’ll be returning
These fit so very well. They are cut nicely and the material is forgiving. Very comfortable too. I have no complaints! I may order another color next year. A !!!
I normally wear a large, but the size guide said I would be a medium so I ordered a medium. I would suggest going up a size, though I can fit into the medium I can barely fit and I thought it would stretch out a bit over time, but it has not. But other then that they are great pants, I haven't put them through the ringer as far as manual labor yet, but they have worked out well so far.
I love these pants!! Normally a large glad I bought the XL!!
Love ??! These pants are so comfortable, and flexible. They are great uniform pants. Versatility is amazing.
I’ve never been able to run so fast in a pair of leggings
My favorite so far wish they had cargo pockets on both legs for us leftys
Comfortable, water resistant, pockets gallore, fit as expected. My butt looks great in them.
I like be them. I was the person that called customer service to ask these be made (sold blue) so we can wear them at USPS. The heathered ones put focus on the pockets (your butt). Which would have caused problems. Thank you. Wish I could have been acknowledged with a free pair. But thanks for making them.
Comfortable and cool at the same time. What’s not to like?
There’s a reason all the models are wearing boots. The leg openings are way too large making the pants very unflattering. <br />The tall pants are also very short. Not suitable for tall women, unfortunately.
Love them but won’t order from Carhartt any more. I don’t think as an employer you have the right to tell employees what vaccines they are required to have.
Really nice quality, great pockets. I had to return them because they were too baggy in the thigh. I wish they would have fit right.. I'm 5'2 110lbs, bought an xs
Very good pants and very comfortable and very nice pants.
My new pants look good. They really need a telephone pocket down the side. I thought they would be warmer. I love the color and the sleekness.
These are amazing!
I’m 5’11, 140lbs - I bought medium talls. They fit beautifully. I’m an EMT and bought these hoping they could work well for middle of the night calls. They are very comfortable, very stretchy, plenty warm, and for me there is plenty of room for long underwear under them. The pockets aren’t perfect. The stretchy structure of the material doesn’t hold heavier items securely (pager, stethoscope, even my pen worked its way out of the side pocket). The front pockets are deep enough for keys, rear pockets are deep enough for my phone and wallet. I really like them even though they don’t quite take the place of my regular first responders pants. I got the heavier weight - these are a winter weight pant! They are not particularly breathable. They’re some kind of hybrid between an athleisure work pant and a winter weight legging/snow pant. There’s really nothing like them out there. The only con that bothers me is that they collect dog hair! (Any hair really.) mostly, I love them.
Really love these for outside work. Great quality.
I love these, buying some more
Everything about the product is as advertised. The only complaint I have is that they are super rough and stiff. When I hear leggings I think soft and comfy and these are neither of those. They are definitely work pants they would be great for working on the farm. They just aren’t what I was expecting or hoping for. I doubt I’ll ever wear them to be honest.
These leggings are super comfy and the fit is amazing! I loved them so much I bought them in two colors.
Nice fit and looks really nice.<br />Guys to have slim snug fitting pants that keep their shape and do not look like flimsy thin leggings!
Love them they fit great
Very thick and stiff, too short and went with the recommendation for size and they’re too big
Finally, tough leggings that fit and neither bag nor slip from waist. Comfortable and attractive. Serious leggings for active women. Accurate sizing. A pleasure.
I'm 5'3" 170 #'s. I ordered the Lrg Reg and they fit perfectly! I climb on equipment
They are fantastic
These hug my curves in all the right places, the fabric weight is nice and sturdy. SO MANY POCKETS!
These are my go-to work pants. So comfortable and I love all the pockets. I do wish there were belt loops just so I could attach keys.
This is a really great pair of leggings. They are made extremely well and seem to be heavy enough to wear outdoors in the winter. I purchased them to wear on a trip to visit Niagara Falls, but the trip fell though. Next year we are planning another trip so these leggings will come in handy.
I love these leggings. I’m a potter and need comfort and stretch while throwing. I also work in a basement studio and these are warm without being too warm. I’m short (5’3”) and they are a bit long on me but not too bad. I love the dark khaki color and the deep pockets. Highly recommend for working gals!
These are fantastic leggings, practically pants. They are warm and tough, comfortable with or without a base layer underneath.
Currently my favorite bottoms. Pockets on pockets, yes please! Durable fabric a must. The waist band could use some improvement.
I am very happy I made the decision to buy these pants. I am a painting contractor and was constantly getting holes in the knees of my pants. I initially bought 1 pair to try out and instantly I fell in love with them. I have since bought 4 more pair so I can wear them everyday of the week.
The first week of wearing them the pocket seem against the pants ripped and now there’s a whole on the butt and carhartt won’t get back to me because I didn’t rip it I had nothing in my pockets
Love them so much I bought another pair!
They are super durable, just would like them to be more of a legging then they are.
Great pants my wife loves them
Reviews were accurate and they fit well in the legs but are a little looser in the waist. But I like them and would buy again. Warm enough for springish days where I’m working in northern BC. Would go with regular sizing.
Great fit, comfortable, and well-made leggings. The seams and fabric are sturdy. Pockets are great!
Horrible fit. Can’t actually wear them.
I’d give it less if I could. <br />Worst fit/design. Weird cause I typically love all carhart
I love these pants the fit is perfect, true to size and easy to move in. Water resistant. Love love and want more colors!
Need to return
These pants are hard to review. I have a bootie, so squishing it past the waist band which is not very flexible is a task. However, once it is in the pants, the pants falling below my waist is not an issue. I LOVE the pants, and the fit, but the waist needs a little improving.
Fit good and warm
Honestly, the XS were huge on me. I cant wear them even loose fitted because the waist is just falling off of me. Otherwise they look like they would be great
I really like the fit and comfort. Would like if they were warmer for winter weather. They wash really great.
Great fit over all. The waist band does stretch out faster than the legs so at the end of the day I end up pulling them up a bit more. But overall I really like them. Will be getting more pairs for sure. Just waiting to see more colors available.
Waist band did not stretch at all. Fit terribly.
Love these pants. Second pair I've purchased.
These leggings are amazing. A hybrid between pants and leggings, you get the best of both worlds. Excellent fit, great quality.
Love these! The pockets are nice and deep. I don’t worry things are going to fall out. The are comfortably snug. Should have gone with the short length. I’m 5’1 and they are quite long on me. But still worth it.
Great fit and durability. I love the pockets, too!
I love these. I wear them to work, I wear them for chores, I wear them at home. I have them in three colors and I want more.
Love them, but not in weather below 32 degrees.
Nice quality and should be for the price but needs belt loops for better fit. Sizes not for all.
bought these today in black, washed these today as directed.. i come to find the area where the sizing sticker was placed on the back thigh left residue on the fabric that’s quite noticeable in person
Buy these! I promise you won’t regret it. They’re so cute. They’re comfortable. The fit is flattering. They’re durable. Best money spent.
The fit is fantastic and so comfortable! I pull these off at work as business casual. Probably not what you want to hear. They look professional and wear professional. I can wear them while doing quick yard chores after work, go for a walk and wear them until I go to bed.
They don’t fit right the belly band is super uncomfortable
Liked these more than the lightweight leggings. However, still not my favorite. They fit terribly. Tight around the knees and no where else. Constantly pulling them up because they're loose around waist which causes them to slide.
I love these pants so tuff yet stylish ! Fit like a dream! I have had many compliments.
They are great! Love the "tall" length. I find the waist a bit tighter than I'd like though.
Our Granddaughters just love them.
They’re a little long for me but I just roll them a bit and I love them! They’re the only pants I wear now, own four, waiting for 3 more.
Did not fit well. Will not be ordering another pair. Super tight in some areas, baggy in other areas. Very disappointed.
These are amazing! Very comfortable, not sure if would wear them for ranch work, but I wear them for "everyday wear". Cannot see thru material when it stretches, nor can you see a pantline. True to size fit. Length is a little long - like an inch or two but I'm a short person, if you wear them inside your boots (tucked in) it's not a problem. I gave these 4 stars for durability and functionality- because at 60$ I'm afraid to wear it out in my pastures or ranch work, so I cannot honestly say on those two.
You’re the only company who makes women’s work wear in tall. You are amazing. Stand behind you 100%
Ankles too tight
Pretty impressed..Great for working around the property. Pretty true to size, wish the waist went little bit higher but still good. Pockets in all the right places and they look good on. Got tired of looking all shabby when working on the property. Was time to step it up so even when I am dirty can still feel good.
I love these leggings! I wear them around the farm but also for everyday wear. I always get compliments in them.
These pants are my go to. I am a massage therapist and I wear them for work- they are so comfortable. I also hike in them. They are durable and warm in the winter. <br /><br />12/10 would buy again. <br /><br />For reference I am 5’4 154lbs with an athletic body (read booty) and I bought a medium regular.
Love these!! They are comfortable and durable at the same time! I work out, hike and cross country ski in them without getting wet or cold. The pockets have ample space without being bulky and unattractive. I have these in every color. I just wish they were in a dark chocolate brown color instead of a tan brown color. Both options would be amazing to have.
Love these leggings. Long enough ad strong.
Great fit and good quality
I will give these pants 4 stars because the elastic in the waist does not work well with my waist. The pants slide down. The pants need stronger elastic.
The fit did not work for my daughter. The small was too baggy at the waist and the XS was too small. She was very disappointed because she really wanted a good pair of substantial leggings for when she works at a farm during the winter.
These are the most comfortable leggings I have ever owned. They make my legs look more sculpted than they are and feels supportive. Deep pockets to carry lots of things around. Easy to move around in. Definitely will be buying more.
Slimming and sturdy ..
Best pants ever! I live on a windy, cold island and these pants break the wind beautifully!
The sizing is so awkward. The XS is too small and the S is too big. It’s all in the waist. Isn’t in accord with the rest of the legging. XS waist is good on me, but way to tight from the waist down. The S is huge in the waist and too big on the legs, legs, crotch/inseam area. Poorly crafted.
I’m a forest steward and I wear these when I’m working outside. Comfortable and extra pockets are great. Minimal slipping so I’m not always pulling up the waist. They’ve stood up well to wear and wash well without pilling so far. I usually hang dry.
They are my absolute favorite pants I only wear Carhartt leggings now
True to size, find they fit a little bigger than expected.
Love these, own 3 pairs. I wish Carhartt made more slim fit styles; Some slim<br />Fit shorts and cotton pants!
Love them, but need a size bigger. Fabric is substantial without being overly still. I think these will work well for all sorts of outdoor adventures, both work and play. I particularly like the midrise waist! Falls exactly where I want it to.
These are quickly becoming my favorite pants. Pockets for days and so comfortable.
Absolutely perfect as with every thing I get from Carhartt. I love your brand.
Fits great! Not stiff! Durable!
Wish if was available in short though
I love ?? them want to get another pair
These pants are so comfortable and useful for my line of work. They stay up and are wonderful.
I wanted a tough legging that I could use outdoors and even under ski pants. Love these. So durable and lots of pockets. Great price too.
These are my new favorite pants. In all seriousness I love these pants so much that I don’t even want to use them as work pants anymore cause I don’t want anything to happen to them. They fit great and are super comfy.
They are so comfortable, they keep me warm, and they are attractive. All of that and lots of pockets. Perfect.
These are good. Not great fit on me (I think they needed a bit more stretch in the legs, as it was they were snug on the calves and a bit loose in the hips), but pretty comfortable for on-site work in live events where I need to be able to work and move around, but also need to be in black and look presentable. I was sweating my ass off in LA in February in them though, so maybe I need to try the lightweight ones…. The pockets should be bigger. My iPhone 11 only fit in the back pockets, which was a bit annoying.
I loved them so much I bought a second pair
SO glad that a friend recommended these pants to me. They are perfect! Exceptionally comfortable, great fit. Wish I could wear them every day.
I loved them. These are my second pair.
Fit true to size by the size chart. I have had other Carhartt jeans and went by that. I like them but am afraid to wear them to work in for fear of ruining them somehow or over bending and stretching them out, but that’s just me. I wear them for good.
VERY disappointed in the cut of these pants. The fabric is great, and would be a really nice pair of pants if the people who designed them didn’t consider a size Large to warrant plus-sized proportions. The thighs are baggy and the back pockets are so far apart they are almost on the side…there is no need to move the back pockets farther away from the center seam as sizes go up…this is infuriating as it makes your ass look wide af. Good designers understand this. Then again, someone also thinks “turd” is a good color for these pants.
These pants are wonderful, super comfortable to work, have several pockets, super practical, I love these pants
I have worn leggings for various sports activities for decades. Used to be a guy had to wear women's leggings because that's all there were, but now there are many sellers of men's leggings. None of which have the strength, durability and quality of these women's Carhartt leggings. So I wear these. I have several pair in both the Midweight and Lightweight style. I'll keep wearing them until Carhartt gets around to making them styled and labelled for men.
I've never owned anything quite like these leggings and I could not be more pleased. Durable and practical, with exactly perfect pockets. I really had a hard time paying this much for leggings but after wearing themfor one day, I'm back to buy another two pair. I've the slim fit, length, and of course, the pockets.
Love them! They felt a bit tight in the waist when I first put them on, but they stretched a bit and fit perfect. Nice big pockets which is rare for women's pants. And when you have things in you're pickets, they don't look baggy. Definitely recommend these pants!
It took a few try-ons to get the sizing right. Use the sizing charts as a starting point and make sure to get them long enough. Calves are snug enough they won’t pull up all of the way if they are too short. Can be a challenge to get them over your hips but once you get them in place they stay! Even when I carry my phone, wallet, knife and a few other tools in the pockets!
Most comfortable pants I have ever had. Thank you!
These are my go to pant for work!! So comfortable and look amazing!
Pros: These pants are very flattering and super comfy - they are easy to squat in and don't ride up or down while doing chores.<br /><br />Cons: The waistband is not that easy to get over hips/booty. Also, two small holes already formed on the lower back. These may have been snags from working alongside metal, but it is hard to tell.
I have a big butt. These do not have a zipper, so it is difficult to pull them up over my big butt. Once they're up, the fit is mostly fine, but a side zipper would Improve the design enormously. I like having six pockets - plenty of room for tools and phone, etc. One other problem is the design is really only for fat-free legs. My legs are not slender and the double panel that ends half-way up the thigh squeezes and is not flattering. More like "fattering."
These are a slim fit. If you don’t like the feeling of tight clothing, maybe consider ordering a size up. That said, the tight fit does not inhibit mobility.
Warm, comfortable, great pockets, fit is flattering. Can even wear them out after work, they work dressed up too.
They are big on me but they are nice and feel great.
...and I have a lot of leggings! these are a perfect fit / sizing is correct. I have two pair, and will buy more when I need them.
Comfortable and more substantial than typical leggings. Love the pockets! Had we shopped that day in support of your company’s responsible vaccine policy. Thanks!
Love these! Great fit and quality
I was very optimistic about these leggings but when they arrived, I found that wasn't keen on the feel of the fabric. More importantly, they were way too long and so I had baggy folds of fabric everywhere. I ended up returning them.
These are fabulous! The fabric is just enough heavier in weight than usual leggings to provide winter warmth and less cling. And, there are pockets!
these are great pants but overpriced
I absolutely Love these pants!! I wear them all the time! Look great and Fit GREAT!!
I love these. I'm so glad they are made in tall. I first got a black pair and now I've ordered dark brown and navy. Flattering fit. I love the pockets. I think they are true to size although a slim fit which works good for me. No pooching out at the hips. Waistband nice and wide. Will look good with shirts tucked in or left out. Tough but look great. Can dress them up or down. Will look fabulous with boots. Good for tough or light work.
I am a tow truck operator and I absolutely love these leggings! they keep me warm and dry. First time I wore them, it snowed and I was kneeling in snow all day and I didn't stay cold and wet like I normally do in my jeans. Buying more!!!
I work at a brewery. Lots of heavy lifting, cleaning, all of the things. I go through jeans and leggings like crazy. Got these as a Christmas present. Literally obsessed!!! So comfortable, stain resistant, super comfortable. My phone fits in all of the pockets! That has never happened before. I want to buy 10 more pairs. Well worth the cost.
I love these leggings, they are super comfortable and really good quality. Very durable fabric and easy to move in. I love the pockets, and the flattering fit!
Not a fan… these sound like snow pants when you walk very loud … and definitely not curvy approved … I’m usually a Jean size 7/8 got the meds (size 8/10) and could barely get in them… once I did the seams on the legs had me looking like the Michelin man…. I really wanted to love these!
I’ve been searching for work pants that I can wear and be comfortable in. I drive a truck for a living and I need something that is durable and comfortable and not binding... I absolutely love these.. I recommend these to all lady drivers out there. If your looking for a good pant / leggings these are it... please don’t change these.. thanks
They were purchased as a Christmas gift. She loves them:) Should be good for working on the farm.
I love these leggings! They are my go to pants for my job at a dog boarding and daycare. They allow me to move freely, are super comfortable and don’t stretch out. They do a great job of keeping my legs dry from wet dog paws. I also own the heavier weight version and I will say that these fit a little differently and the pockets seem to be set differently. Where with the heavyweight version, I prefer the XS, these are most comfortable in the S. I am 5’3”, 115 lbs
I bought these almost 3 seasons ago now. Every year they’ve become my near-daily winter pants. I don’t wash them often and I don’t have to. They have enough give to get into them but not so much that they loosen up after a few hours—they stay close but aren’t restricting. These are my #1 for winter hikes and for workwear. I keep forgetting they’re considered “leggings”. Seriously the best pants I have and I recommend them to everyone.
arrived with a small hole in the seam of the butt. I need to return them.
Size runs small.
Great. Awesome fit
The fit is very accurate. They are extremely comfortable, I wash cold inside out and hang to dry. My new favorite where everywhere pants. Love the pockets, very convenient! Wish you had more colors and more in stock in my size, Ex Sm.
I love them, I ordered a pair 5 years ago, wear them every time they are clean, all winter, super warm, stay tucked in my boots. The new pair fit a little bit different, but good pants just the same. Try them, I will order more
Shipped fast. Comfortable. Warm. POCKETS!
Excellent material. Excellent fit. Comfortable!
These leggings fit. They’re durable and easy to wear all day. Pockets are a huge plus. The waistband tends to be quite unforgiving. Rather than struggle to pull them up, I order one size larger than I normally would. . Works perfectly. The legs are still slim enough that they don’t look like clown pants.
I bought these because of the great reviews, and there were right! These are great!. The wide waistband doesn't cut and gives a nice look, and stay in place. They fit tight but have a good give and dont loose their fit like so many leggings of less density that get saggy. The reinforced knees are a quality addition appreciated for us working in these. Hay and barn debris doesn't stick to the material. Alot of pockets are so helpful. The only negative for me was the length and leg openings. If they made a petite or boot cut they'd be perfect. Tight at the ankle and long gave me some bulkiness around my ankle and boots. But a small issue compared to the rest of these great leggings!
I purchased these in Navy and Dark Coffee and will purchase them in any color available. The fit is great and they move with you and stay put while you move. And...lots of good size pockets! two on your right leg and both front and back pockets!
Wife loves them.
I never write reviews but these are amazing! I now own them in all 3 colors. I have spent more than double this price on pants and non compare! Great fit, comfortable, versatile, wash well and great looking! I get compliments every time I wear them. I’m 5’5 and 145. The medium fits great! Even with a five pound swing either way the medium is perfect! Will keep an eye out for new colors or slits style changes but please don’t change the cut or fabric!
The stitching for the extra reinforcement is a little uncomfortable
Love them! Great fit, easy to wash, good thick fabric with lots of give in all the right places! Will buy more in other colors!
Fit well - my daughter loves them. Want to try the lightweight too!
Love these pants! I’ve already ordered another pair!
Thanks for a great pair of pants, tough
I have ordered three pairs already. I love them and would live in them if I could!
Absolutely love my new work pants. I got mid weight and lightweight versions, and definitely prefer the mid over light version. Mid version has double bound protection on the knees for kneeling and extra pockets for utility tools. <br />The fit is on point for it’s size. I got all size large and it fit perfectly, which surprised me because I usually struggle finding a good fit in pants.
I am a farmer and winemaker. Great durable pants, water resistant, flexible, breathable but also warm enough when needed. Ample pockets which is rare for women's pants but a must when doing physical work. 5'5" 160 lbs medium fits great.
Love them but I wish I got a size bigger as they don’t stay up over my butt
I love these leggings, they are good for the winter season! They keep the cold out
Sizes are way too small have two pairs that are useless
I love these leggings! They are nice and thick so they keep me warm when I’m working outside and they keep me dry in the rain. They are so comfortable, keep their shape!
By far my favorite pants on earth. I own 6 pair and wear them on the farm, for search and rescue operations, and daily wear.
Love these leggings. I wear them while working in the emergency room and am the envy of the nurses. I’m sure more orders will be coming in.
Super tight, not a ton of stretch. Size up.
Love how warm they are and seem to block wind well. I wear longjohns under them and they make a great team. They stay right where you need them due to snug waistband. Fortunately I am tall and slender so they fit well. They will be very snug on women with wide hips. I'm planning to get another pair. Love the pockets!!
I normally wear a size 8, these were 6 to 8 so I ordered a small. Wish I would’ve ordered a medium and will do this next time. Other than that the quality and what I expected are absolutely incredible and cannot wait to order another pair!
The pant met and exceeded all of my expectations .
I beat up these pants every day with my job. They are flexible and very durable. Waist doesn’t give much when pulling them on, but it’s worth it once you do.
They are very flattering and comfortable!
The fit is perfect once they are in, but the waistband is a bit small for my hips, so there is some maneuvering to get them all the way on. I’m not considered curvy, so that was a surprise. I’m 5’8” and wear a 4-6 in pants. I purchased size small.
I love them. I have both the different weights of these pants. I have a farm with goats and exotic deer. They are perfect for working with the deer as fawns hooves are sharp and the pants haven’t been scratched, ripped or gotten holes. They also kept my legs from getting that way too. They are also pretty warm but not over heating for our south Texas winter where it’s 45 in the morning and 80 at midday. And the pockets are INCREDIBLE!!! My iPhone 12 Pro Max fits in all 3 pockets because the are huge. But not baggy so things fall out. I have 4 pair and I’m definitely going to get some more. I normally hate pants period but I love these.
My body is clearly not a Carhartt body. Did not fit at all. Too loose in legs and butt, too tight waist.
Love these! I get a ton of compliments. I dress them up. I dress them down and can even comfortably ride horses in them.
Love them, bought both colors wish there was more colors. Would recommend!
Best leggings for outdoor work!! I wear them at least twice a week they’re comfy and durable, and perfect for layering under overalls in the winter. Highly recommend!
I love these leggings. I have them in 3 colors. 5’5” 125 lbs. and I wear the XS.
Love how long the talls are!!
I like them except the waistband is extremely stiff difficult to get on and off and uncomfortable as hell. (Not stretchy). I thought I was buying fleece also. They could be a little longer. They are tough though it looks like they will wear well.
So comfy....great for work or a night out!!
I love these pants. Very comfortable and fitted but not too tight. I wore them several days in a row and they looked great.
Super cute and good quality. Received compliments the first time I wore these leggings. Note: They are more of a grey/soft brown.
I absolutely love these. Had a bit of a hard time with the sizing (don't go by the chart, go by what you normally wear). The fabric is nice and thick, great pockets, perfect for all my yard work.
Love these pants. Fantastic fabric. I bought the XL Tall in two colors. They are a bit big in the waist. I had to sew wide elastic inside the back and sides of the waistband to keep them from sagging and now they fit perfectly.
Love these pants. Already my favorites??
They are made well. I wish they had petite sizing or a 'short' option. as I am 5'4". They do ride down a bit, I don't have much of a behind.
Make more colors!!!!
I love these pants so much, I ordered 2 more pairs in different colors. They're comfortable, durable and formal enough to wear to work. Well priced, too.
I ordered these because I wear well fitted jeans but I wanted a different fabric that would be warmer<br />I wear them riding my horse, dog walking...really anywhere.<br /> I thought they might be warmer, but they look so darn good in this case it doesn't matter
I am used to the lightweight model, which fits me normally, and I wanted a heavier version<br />This model is totally baggy at the waist and I cannot wear it. Returning was such a burden that I gave it away. I read reviews mentionning this problem and I should have listened to it!<br />Stick to the lightweight and do not throw your money away with this model that does not fit properly.
Love, love, love these leggings! Thinking of getting another pair. Love the back pockets. An additional zip pocket on the left leg would be great for keeping mobile phone safe. <br />I have the lighter weight as well for summer work and love the leg pockets, these could do with back pockets. All in all GREAT!!
I bought the medium and large, I wanted a looser fit so I wasn’t sure by the reviews how this was going to go. I love them both and want more! I wore one pair on a super cold day and I was so glad I did! I recommended them to the women I was with since she was freezing and works outdoors with dogs, horses and travels. She felt them and was like “I’m ordering these today!” They are also a lot nicer then the normal everyday legging.
Compared to the lightweight version, these are way more durable. They don't protect well if you're walking through sharp plants - better to get jeans. Minor style pet peeve - the front pockets are hideous. Otherwise the comfort and stretch is great, and these make a great 3 season work pant.
Very nice material. Super comfy and well made. Waist could be a little stretchier.
These are great for any kind of work outdoors. Fit well, comfy and durable.
My favorite leggings ever
Fabulous. My favorite
Love them!!! My favorite work pants.
I love them! 10/10 recommend!!! I work in the on the cattle farm and have no issue running barbed wire or anything else in them! They stay in place all day and fit snugly! I love having all the extra pockets for tools, gloves, and my phone.
I like the fabric, but the fit is not for us ladies that actually have a butt.
Durable, comfortable and flexible. I like them a lot and will buy them again. I have both light and heavy weight. They are equally durable on are my best work pant.
These are perfect for fishing on our boat. They are warm, stay put and durable.
I love them so much smartest pants I own
These are hands down the best work pants I’ve ever found. They move with you so you feel limber all day, they don’t stretch out or sag and they are definitely rugged and water resistant. They are also nice looking. Definitely worth the money!
Did not fit well
LOVE! Nice material nice fit
Best pair of pants I own. I ride horses in them do barn chores, etc…they have been put to the test on holding up and there are no issues with fabric or stitching integrity. The weight of these pants are nothing like a legging more of a Jean weight. I sized up just out of preference for fit around hips and it worked out perfect, doesn’t fit nearly like a legging and still stays up without belt. Even with phone and tools in pocket! (Which the side leg pocket fits a phone perfectly) wash and dry normally, can’t say enough about them. I even bought my niece two pairs. Get them if you have to work, bend and move in pants.
These are the best leggings ever! Great mid-weight and warm. Super comfortable. I could own several.
First time Carhartt customer here, ordering size medium in both mid weight and heavy weight leggings. I love everything about these pants, except for the waist. My thighs are too thick for size small, and my waist is too small for a medium. My biggest pet peeve in a pair of pants or leggings is a waist that falls down, and that’s what I found with these — i end up having to roll the waist band over as the work day wears on in an effort to keep these pants hiked up. A nice resolution to this problem for those ladies in-between pant sizes would be to implement belt loops.
Needs belt loops. Thinner material than I expected. Good for Spring or Fall.
These pants are my new all time favorite! They are sturdy , flexible, comfy and hold up to my rugged lifestyle.
Durability is decent. Downside is that the pants are losing their shape and tight fit over time. I've only owned my pair for a few months.
These pants are comfortable AND durable. I’m ordering another pair! I do a lot of dog sports, and these pants have become a “must have”. I see them on others and they look just as good.
Great work pant. I still wish you would bring back the slightly wider pant leg, called Slim Fit Carhartt Force. More colors maybe?
Does not have a flattering waist line.
Stylish and functional!
These are my favorite pants ever. True to size!
Love the heck out of these leggings, that's why I ordered a second pair. Thanks for making a work pant that actually looks good. They do run a lot bigger than most though, I have to send back for a smaller size.
I love my Carhartt leggings. This is my 3rd pair. I work a lot with horses and they work well for riding as well as stable work. Love all the pockets!!!
They were too big
LOVE them! My new favorite work pants. They keep me warm and are very durable. I work at a warehouse and these are the only pants that haven’t developed holes anywhere. Overall, they are pretty comfortable and look great on!
I love these pants, super comfortable and a utility pocket that is quite convenient
Love Them! It's hard to find tall sizes. So that was a BIG plus for me! I would love bib overalls sized for women!!!
Love em. The material is heavy duty. they fit nicely and fantastic they come in talls
from the site it looked amazing but I was not a fan of the fitting or the fabric. maybe a wash will " do the trick " but then I cant return.
I love them! Want the other color too!
Perfect for outdoor wear. Only wish is they came in khaki so that I could wear them for work
good quality and super comfortable, I wish I had bought a smaller size, or that these had a drawstring/more rigid waist band as they slip down my hips. But the pants themselves are good. I haven't worn them long enough to see how they hold up over time but the material feels very sturdy and like it wont snag or pill up badly. The pockets are big enough to put things in and I never felt like my phone was in danger which is a great bonus.
The BEST pants/bottoms/leggings I’ve EVER owned. Had them for two years. Used them for hiking, skiing, land surveying, you name it. Women
Love them and they fit great. True to size.
Legging fits and looks great!
Great look and practicality
they are okay... too lose and tight in the wrong places.
one pair fit great, the other style, same size was too tight..ugh. I had cut the tags and washed them, so no return. Oh well.
They are a great heavy weight pant. I like them for working outdoors, however, because of the seams that run horizontal across the mid thigh area of the pant I had to settle for a fit that was loose in the waist and hips in order to avoid having the seam cut into my thigh when I moved my legs. It is a bummer when a stretch fabric is used with a seam that does not stretch. I purchased my regular size, they run a bit big, and will have them altered to fit.
Very comfy. Went up in size as reviews said they fit tight. Could have ordered my usual size , however, extra roomy fit good for wearing thermals. Will be buying more.
These fit perfectly and they are so comfortable. The quality of this legging is better than any other legging I have ever had. I definitely recommend these leggings.
AMAZING! Warm in winter but won't make you sweat in summer. The reinforced knees are so tough, my kitten can stand on my leg and her nails won't even puncture the fabric!! Form fitting, stylish looking for a work setting, while still being professional. You're wearing leggings without looking like you're wearing leggings. The most comfortable work-wear you'll ever own!!
Probably the best 4 pairs of leggings I own. I’d trade in every pair of leggings for these. Hands down best. 6 pockets, no rips holds plenty of tools. Love love love them.
Love the warmth and how many pockets
These are the best fitting pants I've ever had. I have had the lightweight ones for a couple years and decided to try the midweight. These fit and look much better, even though I got the same size. I am around 185lbs and wear XL. These are slightly larger (more accurate) and aren't too tight on my legs like the lightweight. I am 5'6" with a 29" inseam and the length of these pants is good. The fabric is great. I would suggest not putting them in the dryer. I washed and hang dried them a few times and they felt new the whole time. Then I accidentally ran them in the dryer and they changed for the worse. <br />The only thing I don't like is the pockets are different than the lightweight pants. On the lightweight pants there is a deep pocket on the leg that securely holds my phone. There is also a zippered pocket. On these, there is a leg pocket but it does not securely hold my phone. No zip pocket. There are also hand pockets, which also don't securely hold my phone. I also have a better time clipping my knife on the lightweight pants. If these pants had belt loops I could attach my knife to the belt. <br />These are pretty much the only pants I wear out of the house now (it is November in the Adirondacks NY). I am going to have to get more. I really like the brown color.
These quickly became my everyday leggings for my rural life - chasing chickens, hiking with dogs, riding horses, gardening, and all the chores associated with life in the mountains. I love how hay and dog hair brushes right off, the pockets are plentiful, the double knees add durability, and most of all, they are comfortable. I pull them on and forget about them; no tugging, adjusting, figeting over them. Make more colors! I got the brown (not Carhartt brown but a darker brown) midweight and will definitely be trying the heavyweight this winter. If you work outside and want a versatile legging, I highly recommend these.
Love them, very warm!
They just don’t fit me very well. I think I need longer legs. Prob better for ladies over 5’5”. Bummed.
I was nervous about the sizing after reading reviews, but I’m glad I went with small, they fit perfect. (5’3”, 140lbs athletic build). Have worn them working on the farm and also loads of firewood into the house daily and they are great work pants that sluff dirt and debris, due to the synthetic fabric. It’s getting cold in the mountains and I believe my Roxy thermals will fit great under them, haven’t tried yet. I buy carhartt for my husband, kids and last year started a nice collection of my own. I love the durability, always deliver promised quality, these items always last long enough for hand-me-downs for family and friends. Thank you for another great product!
Like many of the other reviews these don’t have a comfortable fit. They do seem to bunch up a bit at the crotch and I didn’t find that the material was comfortable it was not soft…I am tempted to return these because I don’t think I will want to wear them. This was my first Carhart item and I really expected a wonderful product but these were not it unfortunately
Really great fabric, tough and durable. The extra pockets are a great touch. The sizing was accurate. I’m in a large in these leggings, size 10/11 in regular jeans.
I love them!! I drive a truck over the road and they are perfect!!
I love the way they fit but they are just too long! It would be great to have a short length to choose from. Please consider adding a short length as an option.
These are the most comfortable pair of leggings I have ever owned. Worth every penny and the material feels and looks great. They seem kind of spendy for just leggings but they feel like they will last a long time. Would like to get another pair for sure!
Very nice leggings. I liked the weight of the material, and all the pockets. If you have a long torso, and shortish legs, these will not fit. They went up far past my waistline, the legs were about 1.5" too long, and they were very baggy in the upper thigh on me. These are not made for someone with a "straight" shape, they are more for someone with curves.
I love these! Wore them for a 10 hour days and never had to stop to pull them up!
I love the material these are made of! I can move any way I want and my ankles stay covered. I got the tall version because I'm 5'9" and I have never been so thrilled by covered ankles. The pockets are huge compared to most female clothes. They look great too. Honestly I could probably wear them into the office and nobody would be the wiser. Their only downside is not a lot of give in the waistband. I'm a normal weight and the XL was tight around the waistband.
They look fantastic. But are exceedingly smaller than previous versions. I fit and XS in the previous version (#102482) but the new version is significantly smaller. Guess I will be returning them.
I'm 5'3" 129lbs, 28" waist, 38" hip. I ordered a small regular according to the size chart and they were uncomfortably tight on the waist. I do love the styling of the pockets front and back and wish the other style leggings had the same pocket configuration. I wish they were offered in a short length. I am on the fence about reordering in a medium because of the length. The fabric seems very durable and I love the double fabric knee. Carhartt sizing does seem difficult to figure. I ordered the denim unlined overall in a small short and they fit fine though a bit baggy (can easily accomodate leggings underneath). I also ordered a small short in the lined overall and they were waaaaay too tight around the hips and pulled at the pockets.
The weight keeps you warmer than regular leggings the cut and style don't compromise flexibility. Super durable, comfortable, and look great. Too, deep front AND back pockets. Thank you Carhartt...
Great fit loved the articulated knee and just the right weight.
I’m only wearing these from now on! I love them! Very flattering, most durable and well worth the money! I bought 3 pairs of size small. My height: 5’ 5” My weight ranges from: 147 to 153 These pants are perfectly comfortable! Thank you so much Carhartt!
Love them. Fit exactly.
Love these leggings! They hold up great I also have two pair that 2 years old. Still wash and wear great!
I work in new new home construction and love them!!
Wish they came in more colors
The material wasn't really what I thought it was going to be. So, I didn't like the feel of them
I have an athletic build and these did not work for me at all. Way too loose in the waist, way too tight in the legs and butt. Looks like you're wearing knee pads. The design is a good thought but not executed. Hopefully Carhartt will tweak these because I really wish they would have worked. The fabric needs a bit more stretch in my opinion.
If you are undecided on the size, opt for a size down. I normally wear a women's 16 and I practically swim in the 16/18 size. Other than that, these pants are great! Roomy pockets and sturdy fabric.
They are comfy but they are too small so they are not true to size.
Happy with the work pants <br />Plus size’s are way off, too big!<br />Went with regular XXL long, fit perfect!<br />I’m usually a size 2X plus size, way too big!
Not that great, right around the waist and too long.
I really love these so far. I wear them under my sports pant to keep me warm and give me pockets. True to size. I'm 6'1" 180 lbs and got a Tall Large and they fit my legs well and my butt even better
They didn’t work for me. Too thick
These are my "go to" work pants. I love them. I bought my first 2 pair a year ago and they still are in great condition. I only wish I had known about the option to buy the "tall" size the first time. XS-Tall is a perfect fit. These are the only stretch pants I have that don't get pulled down by the weight of the cell phone etc i carry in my pockets. Great to be able to work without tugging at my pants!
Great leggings with all the carhartt pockets! True work leggings! Love them, the perfect stretch without looking like leggings.
I absolutely love my legging! Definitely will be recommending them and purchasing more!
They hit mid abdomen and if you’re like me and have a slightly bigger midsection it hurts after a day. Almost feels like I have a bruise.
Love these pants but they need to come back in Short Length! All pants styles should come in Short/Reg/long
So i had to return my first pair im normally a 16 sometimes and 18. Reading the reviews everyone said size up so i got the 2x. They definitely looked way to big like a 3x. So im reordering in a 1x.. . <br />They felt nice and sturdy and warm. They will get the job done and keep me warm
For the most part I like these but I absolutely hate that they are high-waisted. I wear them anyways because they are well made and have held up perfectly over the past year that's I've been wearing them. My job is very hard on clothes but these show no sign of wear whatsoever.
These are the only pants I ever want to wear again ever.
My new favorite pants! They have a ton of pockets, look professional, and somehow stay clean- dog hair doesn’t stick and dirt brushes off. I should get another pair
Best work pants for the winery I’ve ever had!
I just got back from the Carhartt store in Dedham, MA. I tried on a few styles and sizes. I was expecting to need the XXL, but the XL Talls fit the best. One pair that I did try on had zippers, but I opted for the back pockets and what appears to be a stronger fabric. One thing I’d like to see is the back pockets - or even the side pockets have zippers. (lack of the zippered pockets lost you one star).<br />I love ‘em. Super comfortable and the material seems robust enough for work. In fact, they felt so good that I wore them out of the store. <br />I’ve worn leggings under regular pants when it’s cold and under my ski bibs. The compression is good for my muscles
Going to return them
I was excited to get these. But after trying them on and wearing the material is not very comfortable. They fit a little big. I agree they need belt loops feel like I’m always tugging on them.
They fit great!
My new favorite pants!! I’m obsessed with them!
I need a smaller size
Nice but tight fit not made for women that have thighs and a butt
Tried these because I'm still on the hunt for durable leggings with pockets I can hike with the dog in. Several friends recommended these so I ordered a pair, and they were awful from the moment I tried them on. I hate floating-elastic style waistbands. I'm in between plus and regular size and have some extra weight, and floating bands tend to fold over themselves inside the pants, plus they just don't stay in place as well. Sure they don't fall down, but they ride up which is equally annoying. The fabric was odd, though perhaps more because of fit. They were very long (then again I'm short) and were baggy in strange places. For example under the knee was baggy (not behind the knee, but below it), and the hips were too wide as well even though the waist fit fine. I also expected more, better pockets. I wanted at least one pocket on the thigh, not cargo-style but slim and stretchy, which could be added to the design where the overkill knee patch thing starts. The front pockets were gap-y and not big enough, I wouldn't have trusted my regular-sized iphone in it while on a good hike much less car keys. Overall a swing and a huge miss for me. I'll go back to my regular pants, which oddly enough are Carhartt men's cargo scrub pants.
I love the material and fit, however the waist is a little tighter than I like. It’s not a full elastic. But overall I love them!
Love how durable these are while still being so comfortable! Might be getting more! I got my usual pant size and they fir great!
These are the second pair of these leggings that I have bought. They are an amazing work pant. I am an archaeologist, always on my knees always bending over and these are the most comfortable work leggings I own. The knees have not worn out, and the waist does not slide down when I'm bending over.<br />I also wear them hiking and cross country skiing. They are great in temperatures up to -11 Celsius. The fitted design makes wearing gaiters, and rain pants easy and comfortable.
I ordered a black pair, I would have sent back but missed the return period. <br />I'm not a fan of the material. I did like the pocket.<br />Thank you
Giving it three stars because these leggings are made from an awesome, well made material with all the pockets, but for someone who typically wears XS bottoms — these were definitely way too big. For reference i wear sizes 00-0/23-24 in bottoms. <br />Would 100% purchase again if a smaller size were available.
They were not stretchy enough to go over my butt. So I’d say the xl’s fit more like a tight large
I have in tall small! Perfect! They don’t fall down. Perfect fit!!! Pockets! Great for 4-wheeling, cutting wood, building fire, lumber jacking, construction, training dogs to pull sled, you name it. They give but not too much.
The waist band is a bit weird, I'm usually an aeropostale size 0 so I ordered the extra small they are a bit loose but it works for a full range of motion nice and thick material on the midweight leggings they'll last at my job so I give them 5 stars
I love these leggings but I expected them to last for a year. I loved the pocket for the phone and the stretch fabric. They lasted four months. The seams and knee pads just kind of were worse for wear.<br />I expect more from this brand. .
I've had these for 8 months now with some hard use across 3 seasons, and still absolutely love them. They are by far the best thing I've ever worn for a typical day around the horse farm. Completely comfortable, and yet durable enough to hold up to almost anything
I love these leggings! They are great for doing work around our hobby farm and for riding. Fit true to size for me. I’m a size 8 in most pants and the medium fit perfect.
I am wear a 26 pant with Carhartt and a 3x utility leggings. These sizes fit my hips and thighs and then I put some rope through the waist band to make them fit. No complaints on the pants… however I have brown and black utility leggings and the black are an ideal fit. The brown are snugger. Additionally, both pockets seams are coming undone on only the brown pair..:/ I’ve worn them probably twice a week for about 2 months
I love these leggings, true to size I’m 5’4 140lbs wearing the 4-6 love the fit
Ok, let’s settle this matter… Before buying these pants I read most the reviews and I was doubting whether to get them or not, because some reviews said they weren’t true to size or they wouldn’t stretch enough, or they weren’t right for certain weather. Today I tested a pair of these in a 6 hour outdoor work at 86 degrees temperature with 90% humidity weather. I got the tall, medium size, being 5.10”, 150Lb and they fitted just fine, if anything a little bit lose, didn’t have a single problem getting them on or off (like other reviews stated), they were long enough, and while my chest ended up having heat rash from the sweating of the day and the extreme humidity and heat, my legs felt great, the fabric was super gentle to my sensitive skin, they were stretchy enough to give me movement, and hard enough to protect me while working outdoors. During the day it rained on me and they had good water resistance while still breathable, they dried quickly and on top of that they look great!! Bottom line: I was skeptical but gave them a chance and they didn’t disappoint. I spent the money on 1 single pair just to try them on, but now I am ready to buy all the color variety and get and extra pair in black. I think they are worth your money if you order the right size! Officially a fan! ??
Bought them through a local work wear store. These are perfect if you are tall and slender. I am 6'1" 145lbs lady and I bought the size medium tall and the fit like they were made just for me. A phenomenal fit. Very durable. My very favorite cold weather legging
This is my 6th pair. Love these. Super durable, comfortable, and the pockets are really useful! I have recommended these to many people and have had several strangers come up to me to ask what I think of them.
SIZING::: order according to your waist size--not the hips. I'm 40" waist, 52" hips and the 2X were WAY too big for me. The 2X fit great in the hips, but baggy everywhere else. Just got in the 1X and they're tight all over, but I still have a waist-gap. BUT! The pants stretch enough when I squat and they don't slide down!!
Ok, I love these, but I see what others mean about the waistband. It *barely* stretches. I had to do a weird dance to get them over my hips, but if I got a larger size they wouldn’t fit, cause once they’re up they feel perfect. That’s my only complaint. The rest of them is stretchy, I don’t know why that part isn’t
I really want to love these leggings, and I have been wearing them every day to work…However working out in Vegas summer heat and these pants do not go well together. You will get extremely sweaty and not belt loops mean they will sag down, especially if you put tools or anything in your pockets. They will be a pain in the butt to pull down and pull up when you go to the bathroom when it’s hot. And the waistband rolls over on itself. If these had beltloops I would be much happier. Maybe they will work out better during the winter time for me.
Fit great feel great so many pockets. <br />New favorite leggings for chores.
I ordered the large tall size in these leggings following the size chart and then sizing up for comfort and I couldn't get these on past my knees. The waist looked very small compared to the rest and it had zero stretch. I returned them. I went to a local store and tried on the extra large which were so huge they wouldn't even stay on me. I have been very disappointed with Carharrt's women's pants.
Love, Love these leggings.. comfortable, durable, and cute!
I love these. I’m an overnight stocker mostly in frozen section of the store. These are the best. They fit great. They have multiple pockets and reinforced knees. The material is light weight yet does not show lines or rolls. I prefer a box cutter that doesn’t fold so that way it’s always ready to go and I can slide it in or out of the side leg pocket with ease and the material has held up with no holes there or in the knees. The waist doesn’t slip which I love cause I wear artic thermals that are slick on the days in the freezer so I don’t need a belt . I’m ordering more cause they are the only pants I wear for work now. I also make sure I follow the washing instructions.
I really liked these pants specifically for how durable they were. I was able to kneel in a garden without thistles poking through. I am a bit unsure about the sizing. I got a small which fit really well in the waist, but my legs still felt like the material was fairly loose. I decided to keep them and still really enjoy working with them on.
I wear a 10 or sometimes a 12. The size Large (12/14) barely fits me. There is no stretch in the waistband, tummy or hip area. They are hard to pull on. Great pants but they are not sized accurately.
I love that these leggings have back pockets and don't show underwear lines! No wrinkling up across the back of my athletic thighs either!
I'm 5'7 and weigh around 130-135. I'm usually a small but sometimes a medium if I want more room or comfort. A small in these fit me perfectly, but note, if you are larger around your waist or butt, the waistband has very little give, although it is slightly stretchy. <br /><br />I love the look and style of them, love the pockets, and I can't complain too much about the fit. Makes my butt look great! lol. My main complaint with these is the fabric. It's very rough and scratchy, not comfortable at all as leggings normally are. I think a more comfy fabric could have been achieved with the same level of durability. Anyway, I'll probably still wear them but not in the summer. I could see them chafing and being extremely hot in the sweaty summer heat and humidity. I'm very tactile, and any kind of chafing or discomfort as far as fabrics is a huge no for me. Still, that's my only complaint, although its a big one. Still debating if I would have bought them again.
They are comfortable but.... <br /><br />I am a journeyman carpenter and I bought these thinking they would be good flexible pants for climbing/building scaffold. <br /><br />There are no belt loops to wear a belt with hammer loop. The elasticity in the waist isn't strong enough to hold them up on curvy women and feels quite loose... I have to keep hiking them up when I walk around the house. The waist band also rolls over in half. They are quite tight on my calves, not uncomfortably so, but adds to the need to hitch them up. <br /><br />I personally don't feel they are for actual construction work, if any sparks hit them (grinder, demo saw, torch, welding) they would definitely melt. <br /><br />They are comfortable pants with the waist band exception. There are pockets to shove your utility knife, dykes, linemans in, and they come up to my actual waist. <br /><br />I wear a size 18 tall and ordered a 2x which felt quite roomy in the waist/stomach, but fit well in thighs, snug on calves.
Carhartt please modernize your sizing. I am a size 6/8 and after reading reviews sized up to a M (8/10) I could still barely get these up over my derriere! They are really tight all through legs and the fabric has little to no stretch and polyester feel. They do seem pretty durable and I can walk in the woods without getting snags. Pockets are nice and large but fit is too tight to fit anything in them. Very disappointing
I like the reinforced knees and pockets are nice but I bought an extra small hoping they would fit as I wear a size 2 in jeans. It’s hard to get the waistband up over my hips and when I finally do it doesn’t fit my waist, there is no short options so I have to roll mine at the bottom (i’m 5’) and they are very loose beginning right above the knee down. There wasn’t really any other option for me to exchange sizes so I kept them and am hoping with more washes they change!
I love these leggings so much. I can go hiking through thorn bushes, do ranch work, and ride horses all day in these. So many pockets!
I bought these to wear for work, and Horse back riding. Once you have tried the you want to wear the everyday! They are perfect for at the barn , yet stylish to wear out to shop! II wear them for work , for play, hiking , horseback riding and my go to in cold weather outdoor activities. I have had people stop me and inquire where I got mine.... I have 2 pair and 1 pair of light weight!
These pants are awesome! My body type requires me to size down because they wouldn't stay up on my hips, they kept sliding down but other than that they are amazing! I used these pants almost daily while building my house and they worked for me
I love how these leggings feel and look, not really comparable to a typical legging. After about 3 weeks of having them, worn maybe 4 times, the seam on the seat of the pants started to split, leaving little holes along the whole seam. If they wouldn't have these little tears, I wear them every day, every where.
I am unimpressed and quite disappointed in these leggings. I bought a medium and large - I’m usually a size 10 in pants, but neither pair fit very well. Not to mention the material is uncomfortable. The price is hefty and although they seem very durable, they are so uncomfortable I’ve only worn them a few times.
I have been looking for a long time for pants that are comfortable and durable for my work.. about a month ago I purchased a pair of these and I am in love.. They move with your body and they are high enough in the back to cover in every sintuation. The only thing is that they are hard to find.. Hope more stores stores start to stock them or the website stocks the black ones soon..
I love these pants and want to purchase more of them. I have been waiting for a while and they never seem to have any in stock. I wear them for almost any activity that is going to be on the farm or outdoors. Just need more! The demand has outshone the supply on these ones.
Overall I love these pants. I have worn them almost everyday for the last two years. I have gone through 6 pairs in a variety of colors and versions. When they first came out, the spacing between the knee pads and the side tool pocket was about 3 inches. In the most recent pairs I bought that spacing was reduced to 0 inches. This fit is very strange and the knee pads end up too high on the thighs. The 3 inches was too low, but a better alternative. Hoping cathartt will make a change to some kind of middle ground when the next versions come out. Also, they are a little short. The “long” version is better but the placement of the knee pads gets even more awkward. For reference I wear a size small and and 5’5”
These have the most unconsistant fit. I have ordered 3 different sizes online and each one has been so off. Started with a Large Tall, which waist fit good but the booty and legs fit loose. So went with M tall, well the waist was huge so rest of the fit didn't matter. So then I went with a Small. Waist was tight but once I got them past my booty fit alright but not worth the struggle to put them on.
I love the fact that they make them in bigger sizes and the show off your curves. I would recommend going up a size just to be safe and check the pant sizes before buying them
These are the most durable leggings I own. I have washed them quite a few times and they still look brand new! Highly recommend
By far the most comfortable pants I own. Bought the black pair first; lived in them for less than a month before I purchased two more colors. I work in a truck yard
There isn't an option for zero stars. But these are the worst pair of pants I've owned. Seams split within 5mins of putting them on in the morning; I wasn't even at work yet. Terrible.
Didn’t have my Size in the color I wanted but will be ordering more!
The material of these pants are nice, thick and heavy duty but not too tick, the waist band is awful. Very thin amount of elastic, so when you sit down they roll down. There is no tummy control. They are true to size, but the bottom of the legs are very wide and not fitted so when wearing boots they bunch up.
Look great but the fit is off. I tried on many sizes and the legs are not proportional with the hip/waist. I was really looking forward to these but it didn’t workout.
I'm 6'1", 160-165lb, and a medium tall (black) fit well: snug through the butt and leg, no gapping in the waistband, and perfect length. Have to wiggle a bit to get them on, but once they're up they stay up with no rolling, sagging, adjusting, etc. <br /><br />Sizing notes: I usually take a 12 tall in pants, so I initially ordered a large tall in the lightweight version of these leggings. However the large was a bit too big and had some excess room in the waist and butt (also not as many pockets!). <br /><br />General impressions: I've worn these around the house multiple days in a row, and out hiking/walking a couple of times. They seem well built and durable, and I love the pockets. They are very comfortable. The material is substantial, but doesn't seem overly hot. They also look great!<br /><br />A few minor issues: I wish there was an additional side pocket or 2 on the left side to match those on the right. A hammer loop and/or belt loops and/or something to hook my key carabiner on would also be a great addition. Finally, the material is stretchy, but I wish there was more mobility in the crotch- it's a little tight while squatting, lunging, and high stepping. But I suppose more flexibility might come at the expense of durability.
These pants are nice and thick and the reinforced knees are extra help with durability. These are stiffer than the lightweight ones and it seems like they tried to make up for them by making them slightly bigger at the same size. Just use the size chart, not your normal size for these. (I normally wear a 6 in all my pants but fell between sizes on the Carhartt size chart so I got Medium 8/10). These are not as soft and flexible as normal leggings and they are mid rise. Due to the fact that they're thicker and mid rise, I find that they're not comfortable for laying around the house, but they're super comfortable for working, standing, hiking. I think they will be very durable in the long run.
These pants are perfect in every way! I didn't expect them to be so comfortable with them being made thicker. Not only is the fit absolutely perfect and flattering, but the fabric is amazing!<br />As the mom to a white bulldog I seldom wear black leggings, as I end up covered in dog fur.<br />To my surprise, dog fur does not stick to this fabric! If a few hairs get on them I simply brush them off with my hand and they are gone. This does not happen with other pants I own. I am impressed and have already ordered more in other colors!
PLEEEEEEASE make these in carhartt brown! I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t buy them. And make sure they come in XS.
Totally recommend, durable material and comfortable. Totally worth the price and love the new color.
Went out on a limb and purchased two pairs in black. Best buy of 2020! I just bought myself 2 more pairs, a little more colorful this time. Can’t wait to see these in the ink green. The tall fit hits the ankles just right, much appreciated by this 6ft tall frame. Thank you Carhartt for keeping up with the needs of your city girls as well as your rural ladies.
I hike a lot with my dog and need a good pair of leggings for freezing Colorado cold mornings. I usually spend way too much on fancy leggings. This pair is affordable but I should have known that they still need help with women's clothing and their designs. My son calls me "Cartman" from the show South Park because these leggins give me the worst muffin top. I like the quality but when it comes to tummy support I DO NOT recommend them. So I gave them an overall 2-3 stars...Better luck next time.
While the legs and thighs fit terrific, both my sister and I found that the torso part of the leggings was strangely large and way too big in proportion to the legs. Which is very disappointing, as she was hoping to add a new pair, having liked her original pair purchased 2 or 3 years ago. Something about the design has changed, and it's just not going to work out for us. Sad, because Plus sizes are offered, the fabric appears durable, and ...well..POCKETS. Sadly, both pairs are going back.
Okay so I must say I'm hooked! I've got these in every color except the grey/black mix and I love em! I use them for farm work and around the house. I was always a jean girl but these are freakin amazing! Especially in the winter because I can easily slip on/off my bibs and boots without having to tug down my jean pants and shimmy the pant leg down to then try and tuck into my boots. These make laying MUCH easier! As far as sizing goes I will say they are difficult to get past the thighs as they have little to no give at the waist, but once on they are amazing. I am 5'5" and 130#'s 28" waist....I will say I got one pair in an xsmall and two in a size small and to be honest the two smalls even fit a little different. I like both sizes but think I would do an xsmall again just so they stay up a little better, the smalls I find myself pulling up but it is not bad. The only issue going down to an xsmall is that the knee area is tighter and thus doesn't allow much give for movement.
Wish they had these in solid Navy, the pockets are deep and plentiful. These have saved so many of my jeans from being destroyed at work. Just wish the sizing was consistent. The straight black pair fit appropriately, the Heather navy pair I have for some reason the knee patches on both of them sit very low. But other wise a very excellent pant if you work outdoors and are subject to snagging your pants on things.
I am so confused! Based on a friend’s recommendation and positive ones I saw here, I ordered. The first pair was size small, they were fitted at the (high) waist (I normally wear a size 0- 2 Jean) and then huge everywhere else. So I returned and ordered the xs. They are super tight at the very top band that only runs at the tip top of the pant which makes it feel like a rubber band around your waist, better in the butt, but then still huge from the thigh down. That is not a legging! They look like mc hammer pants with a tight waist. I’m terribly disappointed. I wanted to love these pants. I needed pants like they describe these as! My body type is petite athletic build. 5ft 1 and 108. Beware if you’re similar.
Bought the leggings for outdoor work/exercise. They arrived within 3 days of ordering which was great. The material seems tough but I have not had them long enough to tell how well they will wear. Waistband not stretchy and difficult to pull over hips. (And I'm slender.) However, they are NOT warm at all. I was out in 34 degree temps and my legs were cold even after walking for an hour. They may be better suited for spring/fall work. If you want to use in the winter you may need thermal underwear.
For my plus sized gals, hello! I'm 6ft and 300 pounds and I got a 2x. I have thick thighs and a bigger lower stomach so i was really nervous but sis these things came through. For my height the length wasn't BAD. wish they were a tad longer but that's always something I have issues with. These will be perfect for the barn and finally getting some exercise in. Thank you! Also for reference, I'm a 22 ar Torrid!
These are the best pants ever! Recommended by the staff and I am a believer. They fit perfectly. I’m buying them in every color, well maybe not the black and grey. Hey carhartt make those in just grey and I’ll get those too!
Overall, they're great! The only thing I don't like is as a left handed person I don't see myself using the side pockets on the right side as much as I would with other leggings that offer side pockets on both sides.
I ordered these leggings via International shipping and that is why I was rather careful about following the size chart and taking my own measurements.<br />The size charts states 2XL as 40¼" waist size, but what I received is leggings that measure 42" at the elastic waist band!<br />As a result these leggings fit like loose pants and are continuously sliding down after I worked in them for only 2 hours in my blue collar job. (They were a bit relaxed, but definitely at least fitted at first.) They do not have belt loops.<br />They are nice in principle if a bit scratchy at first, but they are not tailored true to the size chart at all.<br />1.75 inches is a LOT of extra material.<br /><br />I have just wasted over $130 Canadian on this.<br /><br />The pockets btw are still smaller than men's pants and yes, the material is a bit scratchy at first.<br />I <br />I have emailed CARHARTT but it will apparently take 3 days to get a response according to the autoreply.
Wore in the house for the 4th time and the material is shredding next to the seam down the center of the rear end, and there's a small hole by a back pocket top corner seam. I wish I'd seen similar reviews before purchasing. Unfortunately I live in Florida and didn't wear them for months due to the heat, or I'd return them all. They are so comfortable, and a perfect fit. Going to look elsewhere for a replacement.
I was excited to see “tough” leggings as a geologist who works in the woods, because I need flexibility to get over boulders, downed trees, and the like. I have had bad luck as an apple shape with Carhartt before but thought that stretchy leggings would be more accommodating. I went exactly with my measurements. For a 37” waist and 44” hips, I should be in an XL 16/18. In 5’9” and got a tall, which should have helped raise the waistline towards my natural waist as well, but they are way too tight in the waist. There is elastic in there that has a lot less stretch than the fabric it’s in, which isn’t very stretchy either. Unfortunately, I can’t go bigger, because the legs and hips are very baggy. They don’t look like leggings on me at all. I know I’m apple shaped, but I’ve never had this problem with regular leggings, and according to the measurement chart I this size should suit both my hips and waist. I can’t speak to their durability yet. The fabric does feel tough and like it would resist abrasion. The seams look regular and not particularly reinforced. They are also pretty scratchy on the inside. I only wore these a couple hours running errands to test out and I already have irritation from the seams. If that isn’t likely to bother you and you are hourglass shaped, I think these would work for you. I would call them more pants with light stretch than leggings. I can’t recommend for women with larger waistlines at all.
I would recommend these legging to anyone that would that is looking for comfort and I had first of legging for 8 months and they hadn’t worn out and I would buy bunch more pairs and they are the best if had to wear black pants to work if work in the hospitality Industry and the only thing I have to say that you should wash then before wearing them so that you can get true sense of now they will feel after being wash and dried
These pants look great and seem very functional but they lack durability and quality. I've only worn these pants only a few times and the inside of the one front pocket tore when I put my hand in it.
Seen these on TikTok. And started looking in to them. Showed my husband and he was totally all for them , actually pressured me in to buying them even with the price. Once I got them and wore them for the first time I was INLOVE!!! I’m going on the dozenth time wearing them and I just can’t get enough!! So warm and comfortable, along with them being so durable.
I love these! they’re tough and flexible - just wish they would make them in the classic carhartt brown (more color options in general would be amazing!)
These are no ordinary leggings. At first I was hesitant to order because of the cost, thinking they were just any old legging I would wear under my pants but boy was I wrong... Not quite a jegging either, but these are a durable warm stretchy stylish legging (with pockets!). Well played, Carhartt
I love these pants; the style and fit are very nice but I was really upset after a few washes the seams developed holes. I've worn Carhartts for many years and never had this issue with any other products.
Almost perfect; I read many reviews before buying these, but I’ve been on the hunt for some utilitarian bottoms that I could move freely in. These fit the bill because they’re stretchy and have numerous pockets. They’re not made of the material you typically associate with leggings, because they’re thicker and a bit more stiff, but still comfy. <br />At any rate, they are almost perfect. The waistband is a bit tough, but otherwise, that’s be my only complaint besides the lack of colors.
I was very excited about these leggings, but was let down :( The material was very rough and not very giving. They fit poorly and were not comfortable. I was very shocked because I have never disliked something from Carhartt!
I live in these pants. I wear them while running errands, hanging around the house, working on our homestead. I started with two pair, added a third, and am now waiting (im)patiently for them to come back in stock so I can buy more. I’ve recommended them to anyone who will listen. I’d love to see more colors!
I was so excited to get these. I stalked my doorstep everyday for my package and I was even more thrilled that they came a day before thanksgiving! But when I tried them on it was a whole different experience. The material was itchy and the waist did not stretch at all to get the waist over my thighs and butt was a whole process and once I finally got them up the legs were loose and just did not compliment my figure at all. The waist did fit once it took five minutes to get them where they needed to be, but these will be returned.
These are high quality, tough and worth the money. I have owned three pair of these for four years now. I basically wear them every single day for six months out of the year. They are warm, yet not too warm. They look great, and are easy to work in. In four years of heavy lifting, yard work, and hauling wood, I have only snagged one pair in one tiny area. The side pocket holds a large format phone, and it is tight enough to flex, yet the phone has NEVER come out of the pocket. Can't say enough about this brand and these pants. Non-staining fabric, dries fast. A no brainer to buy the new colors this year!
I put my info in the fit finder and bought the size it said. I absolutely love them but they are too small, the waist is very tight and hard to get over my hips (and I dont have big hips). I bought them for a trip and they arrived just in time, I wish I had returned them for a bigger size but I didn't have time before the trip. Now I have a great pair of leggings that are just too tight to wear comfortably :(
Bought these for my wife. She loves them. Super comfy and warm
I was very excited to wear something that was supposed to be durable yet cute at the same time. Unfortunately these leggings aren't it. Right at the seam line in the butt the stitching is pulling apart and they're starting to run. You can see multiple holes opening up. I only got to wear them a few times before this happened. My Carhartt store is about 60 miles away so the chances of me returning these are slim to none. I would not recommend these leggings.
Normally I wouldn't pay so much for a pair of leggings, but these are worth every penny. I wouldn't recommend them for wearing in warmer climates, however they are perfect for Alaska! They even kept my legs warm during my son's hockey game with weather-dependent ice at 10 degrees F...though my bum did get a bit chilly on the aluminum bench! I am a size 12, have a child-bearing belly, 5'6" at 150 lbs., and the medium fits me great. I have tubular calves, so they are snug there, but overall they have a slimming effect. Normally I feel sort of "naked" wearing leggings unless my bottom is completely covered, but these look enough like normal pants to give me more confidence with a shorter top. I don't think they could possibly snag, the material is so sturdy. Overall the best pair of leggings in my wardrobe. I expect them to last a good, long while.
I wear a 24w in jeans and am right between the 2x and 3x. The 2x are snug when I put them on but stretch nicely after a bit. The 3x are a bit big but still work, I just have to pull them up more often. I have fibromyalgia so jeans aren't always my friend. I can wear these while looking cute, having pockets, and being comfortable all at the same time. I really want the black heather to be available in plus size though. I love the two toned look. The ink green is very nice, a very dark teal that still goes well with everything. I have 3 pair of these and I basically live in them for the most part.
The material on these pants are soo scratchy! It may be durable, but not comfortable. Also, i feel these run very large. I am about an 18W and i got the 2X because we all know Carhartt runs small, but these came in and were huge! The tag says 2x is 20W-22W and i would say its more like a 22W with stretch, not a whole lot but a good amount. Now if you dont have a flat stomach the pockets are going to look funny, these are made for flatter stomach people for sure. I'm happy Carhartt's sizing is more accruate, but i wish they had advertised that they have been working on it.
The material of these feels great, and they have pretty good mobility and lots of pockets. The pockets don't have much give though, especially when moving while having items in them. <br />I am 5'8, 150#, 27" waist, 39" hip, fairly muscular build, and I ordered size medium. They fit well measurement wise, but the cut causes them to pull and pucker oddly in the hip/crotch area. I am not sure what that is about. I like these but I'm not sure I like them enough to order multiple pair, especially for the price. I find my good ol coveralls to be superior to these by far for utility, comfort, durability, and price.
I ordered two pair of leggings in late July due to the thicker, protective fabric. The leggings were not a skin tight fit, so very little constant stress on any seam. Wore the first pair 1-2 times and a 5” run on the vertical back seam left a series of small holes along its length. I called customer service, shipped the pants back and received a refund. I left the second pair in the original packaging until just the other day and hoped the issue with the first pair was a fluke. I wore the second pair this weekend for about 4 hours to help cut down and remove small trees. I checked the seam afterwards and sure enough, holes/run on the back seam were there just like the first pair. I am so disappointed in this terrible flaw as the leggings feel great to work in.
These are life savers working outside but needing mobility!! My fav pants 2 winters in a row
I’m a landscaper and I absolutely destroy all of my pants, I’ve been eyeing these for a while because my standard work pants can sometimes give me some serious chafing and the freedom of movement provided by leggings is something I’ve dreamed about but normal leggings don’t usually have pockets and they NEVER have reinforced knees (which are an essential for me). I absolutely love these, they’ve stood up pretty well so far and I wear them constantly, they hold their shape pretty well so I’ll regularly wear them a couple of days in a row. <br /><br />As much as I love these, here are my words of warning:<br />These seem to fall victim to the sizing inconsistency that plagues seemingly every Carhartt product. I bought a black pair in xs and I loved them so much that I ordered two more pairs in heathered black and green. The heathered black ones are so small that I can’t even wear them. Unfortunately I am a fool who, in my excitement over the pants, ripped all the tags off before trying them on. I should have known better, seeing as I have been utterly failed by Carhartt’s sizing issues on so many occasions (I hope they figure this out, I should just be able to order my normal size with confidence, I would really prefer to not have to drive super far out of my way to a physical store try every pair of pants on in person so I can find the ones that are ACTUALLY true to size.)<br /><br />My second gripe is that Carhartt continues to gives women’s pants a very distinct hip to waist ratio that is not reasonable for a huge amount of women. I have wide hips and a significantly narrower waist and these would fit like we’re tailor made for me if they were about 3-4 inches higher. Because they’re leggings it’s no where near as severe as with other styles and I can still comfortably wear them with no issues. I get making pants wider at the hips and tighter at the waist since waist gapping is a pain but a lot of carhartt’s women’s styles take this way too far.
Please note: inseam for leggings are<br />short 27", Reg 29", Tall 31". not what the size chart says. I've asked Carhartt to update info in product description and size chart.<br /><br />Apart from wishing they were taller, these are AMAZING pants. Apart from inseam, size chart is accurate.
Ordered my usual size, I could get them up but they would have skinned my hips everytime nature called. The main body of the pants is stretchy, more durable feeling than the leading athleasure leggins but almost as comfortable. <br />The pockets have no stretch so when you do a full squat it stresses the seams. The waistband is the least flexible so if you have a slight difference in hip/waist, they won't work.<br />I tried on the next size up and they were terrible looking on and still ended up being a little tight at the waist when pulled over the hips.
Very comfortable, durable, and great appearance. I love these leggings. They are do seem a little more high-rise than just mid-rise but I like that more! I would recommend them to others!
Love love love these! Use them all the time while working outside in the weather. Legging with pockets, who could go wrong. My only complaint is that the very top of the waistband can get a little tight.
These leggings are perfect for everyday wear. They hold up great and are super comfortable!
Bought these because I’ve seen other rant and rave about them. Wore them ones and they looked great and were very comfortable. Washed them as instructed went to wear them today and the whole crotch area is worn as tethered and has holes.I was going to buy another pair but I may have to pass. I’m really disappointed I def didn’t get my money’s worth.
I love these their strong enough u can move an work in them without them being transparent and u can bend down with out having to pull them up everytime
Every pair rips right on your butt!! What is this Carhartt?! This has happened on 2 pairs! These are "working" leggings but you wear them once but you wear them once and you get a run right up your butt making underpants completely visible. This was so embarrassing to discover after wearing these at a job site, bending over doing my job. They are completely unwearable now! Such a waist of money. I wanted to love these. They are somewhat moisture wicking but if you are in humidity or sweaty it next to impossible to peal these off then pull them back up if you want to go to the bathroom. The side pockets are also useless, everything falls out. I do like the thigh pocket but that's it.
I love all the pockets and the durable fabric. These versatile pants and perfect for everything from farm chores to riding my horses. All the comfort of leggings but in a more structured design that doesn't leave me feeling self conscious. Now, the only reason they didn't get a perfect 5 star rating from me is that they are too long. I am 5'1" and normally a size 4-6, the size small fits quite well except for the length. I have to roll the bottom if I don't want them bunching up. I would love to see an option for us petite ladies! I would also love a bootcut version as well.
These pants were made for me. I get compliments on them all the time. I worked on the field crew for a farm and am constantly bending and squatting and all sorts of nefarious and compromising positions. These pants have not split like all jeans eventually do. These pants fit my long legged 5’9” frame. I own them in every color but green. I was recently hired for the seed sales team, and guess what? I wear these pants in the office and they seriously look great. I style them with a button up blouse and cowgirl boots; it works and look a heck of a lot better than saggy baggy dress pants. They are versatile. I am 135 lbs and I wear the small tall. The only company I know of that offers tall sizes that fit and are not made for 6’4” women. I’ll be checking out other items from Carhartt;; these pants hit a home run or two. Btw I’ve had them for about 9 months now and wear them all the time and they still wash great and I’m no Susie homemaker I throw them in with whites In hot water!
I own a couple pair of these leggings and absolutely love them. From wearing them in the chicken coop to paired with a t-shirt for a casual outfit. I live in these
They are OK. I was hoping they'd fit like my Kerritts riding tights but there's extra crotch for some reason. They do nothing for my Butt and zero belt loops. If you attempt to use the pockets without a belt you'll loose your pants. Heck I even ordered a size smaller hoping they'd fit tighter and there's bagginess all over the place. Even baggy at my ankles. With the reviews I was kind of hoping for a cross between wrangler booty up jeans and riding tights. Oh. And along with belt loops where's my hammer loop? Common make them a true work tight. Good effort, do better next round.
5'8 <br />170lbs <br />Size Large<br />I give this 3 stars. <br />Pros- durable, flattering, true fit, pockets, stay put fairly well<br />Cons- breathability, especially in the crotch, hot on a 40° day in sunshine.<br />I work outside 10 to 14 hrs a day 95% of the year, all seasons all over the US any condition. I do corrosion mitigation, steel repair and concrete on steel electrical structures.<br />I am always moving; digging, bending, kneeling squatting, jack hammering etc. <br />The leggings stay put pretty well. They are fairly warm on a cool day in sun. And fairly comfortable but they are not soft on the skin hence rugged utility legging. It can feel a bit like sand paper at times, mostly on the knees.<br /><br />The crotch breathability is 0 and that's not hygienic for the ladies, gets swampy down there even at 40° outside if you are working hard. I feel the waist could come higher to prevent digging into the stomach when bending over though it's not too bad.<br />I loved the side pockets, could use them on both sides. All the current pockets kept my items and small tools secure! <br />I would love to see this legging with a higher waste, Left and Right side pockets and a breathable crotch. <br />Over all a good product but not useful for me without breathability in the crotch area.
I’m a size 6 pants and ALWAYS a Medium in sweats and leggings..so I got 2 pairs of Medium (8/10) in these and I can’t even get them up past my thighs. I would go up a size for sure!
Ordered a pair of medium regulars (I’m short) and they fit perfect, aside from the waistband and being a little bit long.I’m a bit chubbier in my stomach and I didn’t think I was going to be able to pull them up past my thighs. They’re really tight on the stomach and the stretch waistband doesn’t stretch at all. I wouldve gone with a larger size but I’m afraid the rest of the leggings would be way too loose on me defeating the point of leggings. But I love the fabric and the pockets and how they fit (again aside from the waistband) :(
These pants and cute and great for working on the farm. They are much more feasible than my normal leggings I typically wear. I would size up if you are in between sizes because I felt as though they were tight in the waste
I really like these leggings but I have a couple of things I would change in their design. The first being the seam in the butt is somehow a little short —now I have a pretty sizable butt, however I don’t have any other leggings or pants that shimmy down ever so slightly as to keep me on the tug train on the hour. I’d like it if there was just a little bit higher rise in the back. Also, the fabric, while super durable, has sort of a 1970’s polyester leisure suit vibe—I like it because it’s pretty much bulletproof and doesn’t fade (ever, like at all) but, it’s a bit swampy on the crotch, and by that I mean steamy. I’d dig it if they were more breathable. That said, they look freakin awesome. They have cool-girl points that can go from equestrian to biker to punk AF in seconds flat , which I love.
I'M IN LOVE. I'm 6 feet tall and it's so hard to find leggings for long legs and nearly impossible to find ones that are DURABLE! They're a little difficult to get over the hips and, at first, I thought they were going to be too small. But with a little struggling, they pulled on and look and feel amazing! The struggle is the price to pay for the durability, I suppose. I might suggest going a size up if you want them to be easier to get on, but they might be a bit baggy that way. But they go ALL THE WAY to my ankles! So happy with this purchase.
These leggings are exactly what I need in my life. I do a lot of hardcore yard work, chopping and stacking wood, home improvement projects etc. and I find jeans or traditional "work pants" too restrictive, but most regular leggings or athletic pants will rip if you look at them the wrong way. Also, SO many pockets! I also appreciate that these pants fit curves well. The waistband is a little tight going over the hips, but once they're all the way on the fit it perfect... usually elastic waist pants will slide down on me since my waist is quite a bit smaller than my butt/hips. They feel very durable, and if they hold up as well as they seem like they should, I will officially declare these the best pants ever! I do think they would be too hot for the summer but I'm definitely going to try the light version when summer rolls around again.
I have been wanting these leggings since they were first advertised! I finally saw some at the store and decided to get a pair. Unfortunately, the store in my state did not allow me to try them on due to Covid-19. I got all the way home and quickly realized they were not going to fit :( I love the fabric of every part of these pants EXCEPT for the waistband! Normally leggings have some stretch and give in the waist area, but these do not. I have thicker thighs, but a small waist and these would fit my waist, but due to the fabric of the waistband I could not get them over my thighs.. I’m super disappointed because I am now stuck with a pair of brand new pants with the tags on that I cannot exchange for the next size up! Otherwise, I bought them because I work with horses and other large m, dirty animals. They seem great for working on the farm. <br />Please consider changing the waistband to a more giving/stretchy material !
I work in a Equine Sales barn. Mucking stalls, throwing hay, riding horses, and much more! These pants are perfect for all! The hay chaff does not stick into the pants at all and they are very comfy to work in!
I am an avid hunter, side by side rider, fisherman and much more. I absolutely live outdoors. I love it. These pants hold up in every weather condition as well as are so comfy I forget I even have them on! Highly recommend!!
Not made for short women, I’m 5 foot 3 with a 27 inseam size xl and the knee patches fall below my knee. I will have to return them as they are not made in petite sizes .
Generally i love these. However, i really wish they had belt loops! I realize that seems silly as they have an elastic band across the top. But it makes it impossible to wear a belt, and therefore attach a pistol holster, and id really love to wear these while i train/do other tactically demanding tasks.
So, I'll start with I love these leggings. Very comfortable, lightweight, and the front pockets are regular pant sized (none of that half of your fingertips garbage that most women's pants have. One suggestion for the Carhartt team is to help out the petite girls a little bit. I'm small, 5'3" and 105lbs, and I was excited to see the leggings because I would finally be able to get some Carhartt gear that I don't swim in (work pants and jackets are always huge on me in the smallest size). It says XS is for people who wear a 0/2, which I wear, but they fit more like joggers on me and I have to roll the cuff. What's crazy is the waist fits snug and tight, but that's the only place. I also have roll the cuffs because they're a little long. A loop or two on the waistline would also be nice to clip your keys or work badge to!<br /><br />TL:DR- Love the leggings, just wish they had a smaller size and offered a "Short" option :)
These pants r my most Favorite pants!! Fit is really good I have 2 pairs. Fit snug but not tight.
These work perfectly for construction type work. They move with me great, even when it's hot
I loved these the first two days I wore them but then they started to rip along the seam in the back. I put a few stitches in and they have held up since.
I could tell you all the reasons these leggings are garbage for any woman who actually WORKS in them but instead I’d like to offer the design team some ideas. 1. Give me an elastic waist band at LEAST 4 inches wide, WITH belt loops! 2. Give me a zipper fly. Yes a zipper on these leggings. Let me tell you what a nightmare it is to try to peel on and off these leggings to pee when Im sweaty and dirty. THE WORST. It’s infuriating. 3. DEEPER SIDE POCKETS, these pockets are for show at best. 4. Would it kill you to put a flap over the back pockets?!? I need a pocket to put my phone that won’t let all the dirt in!!! 5. Can I please have the option to put the knee pads in ? Carhartt knee pads are actually a great life saver, I’d love to have the option in the leggings. Please please please make this product. I would buy 5 pairs. I actually WORK and I need a pant to keep up with me. Wish these were it.
Made well but fit all wrong! I am 5’2 and 125lbs and ordered a small. These Fit fine around the waist but were way too long, and was baggy in the rear area. Carhartt please make petite fitted ankle sizes!
The pocket material is different than the legging material. The difference is the pocket does not stretch and the leggings do. This causes the leggings to tear around the rear pockets. Either this was known and planned to fail, or this was not known and is incompetence. The simple fix is to rip the stitching around the rear pockets and leave them off or replace them with similarly-stretching fabric. For the few weeks they survived, they looked and felt great.
Loved the look of these. I’ve been contemplating buying them for over a year, but was hesitant because of the size reviews. Got these for work but unfortunately/despite the new slim fit style they are still way too large. I am 5’ @ 100lbs and I was swimming in the XS. Would totally spread the word if the sizing hit the mark. I’m sure everyone at my work would live these, especially in the winter worth the heavier fabric.
Nice but ran small I'll need to go up a size??
I have struggled forever with finding comfortable work pants but the struggle stops here. These pants are life! My only complaint is when I hang the radio on my pocket, the pocket is stretchy so the radio swings around a lot when I walk. Thinking of sewing some kinda loop on the waist to hang it... otherwise amazing!!
Durable leggings with pockets that actually fit my phone. NO give in the waistband though so the dance I had to do to get them over my hips was ridiculous and it cut into my gut when I had to bend over or sit down. Carhartt is usually pretty good about figuring out what size you should get but these are snug. I typically wear American Eagle pants size 8 regular and these leggings say they're size 8-10.
I wore these while doing our branding a couple weekends ago. First off, they are so comfortable, not thin and not heavy. It was hot out and they were great.<br />but what really made me love them was when I had a board with a nail slam into my leg. I for sure thought the nail went into my leg, but when I looked down, not even a tear on the pants!! even my husband who saw it happen was in shock. These pants really helped protect my leg and I am the BIGGEST fan of these! I recommend them 110%
Besides my dark pair of stretch denim slim fit double front dungaree pants from Carhartt, these are the ONLY other pants they make that fit right minus being a tad short in the inseam even in the medium tall (I'm 5'10"). Unlike the typical uncomfortable very stiff hard cotton with no stretch womens pants Carhartt mostly makes, these still fit whether you gain or lose a few pounds so don't have to be exchanged or returned for another size! It's not okay to have to spend $50 and up on pants that truly don't fit my small waist and hips with bubble butt figure that also have to be cut at the bottom to make the inseam longer because they aren't long enough even in the tall and also have to size up just to be able to bend, stoop and be comfortable in. Carhartt is the only company I know of that makes tall size pants for women which is why I buy them, but yet they still aren't long enough for me because I need a true 34" inseam minimum or longer, not 33. Women taller than me with longer legs are out of luck. I wish these pants were longer but since they are skinny leg leggings, luckily the leg seams at the bottom don't have to be cut out at the bottom like the straight and wider leg stiff hard cotton pants. I truly hope Carharrt starts making tall inseams that are 34" and longer for taller women, and make these leggings in many other colors like pink, purple, red, turquoise, Carhartt brown, red duck, bright lemon yellow etc. Disappointed the navy heather is out in medium tall now. :-( These leggings are phenomenal in all types of weather as well from real hot to very cold, yay! Also, it would be nice if every point in the loyalty rewards program was worth $1 each instead so us broke people could use them to afford more pairs of these pants.
I adore these! They are comfortable, durable and fit well. I also love the multiple pockets, which I have found useful at work. I would love more colors!
I am deeply in love with my new Force Utility Knit Leggings, they are stretchy in all of the right places and durable. They also do not fall down, I will be buying more!
Bought a pair at the hardware store in Seward, Alaska last fall. Have been wearing them on my fishing/shrimping boat for months. They are warm, comfortable and TOUGH. Love them so much I just bought another pair (in case they stop making them for some stupid reason). Also bought them for my daughter and my son’s girlfriend. A one star review whined about them being too warm in their house. You don’t get tough and cool/breezy. These are awesome (and I don’t review many products)!
I have 3 pairs of these in black. They are the best pants for work. Comfortable, great movement and flexibility and they go right back to shape, awesome reinforced knees which I appreciate in my kneeling work, they wick sweat, stay cool even in dark color, odor repelling, wash well, great waistband. I cannot say enough positive things about these pants as well as there other leggings (which I also have 3 pairs of). I would really like these in the Carhartt Brown.
These are excellent pants, I own 4 pairs. They don’t stretch out too much, they still look brand new despite being put through the ringer at work and weekly washes. <br /><br />I would love to see more colors such as navy blue, or even bring back tarmac. The heather colors are nice but I prefer dark solids.
I have been searching high and low for a pair of women’s work pants that were comfortable enough for daily wear, cute enough I actually wanted to wear them, and were durable enough to last longer than a few months. These leggings are everything I’ve ever wanted and more!<br /><br />Unfortunately a lot of companies do not make women’s workwear in small or extra small, so Carhartt really came through for me here. I ordered these in the XS, worries about tightness because there aren’t any belt loops. They ended up being exactly what I wanted. Not too tight, but not loose enough to rub or get caught on anything while I’m working. <br />There are two other things that really caught my attention with these leggings as well: the first was the material. I’m sort of picky about the materials my clothes are made from as far as how comfortable they are. These leggings are not only comfortable, but they easily withstand daily wear and tear. There is even an extra layer of material over your knees, which I appreciate as I seem to rip the knees on every pair of pants I own. The second was the pockets! It may seem like a silly thing to get excited about but even my boyfriend has started to say thing about how ridiculous the pockets are on a lot of my other clothing. Half of them are for ‘design’ and don’t even function, and the ones that do are so small and narrow you can’t even fit your phone in them, let alone tools or whatever else you may need. These babies here have four, fully-functioning, large-enough-to-use pockets PLUS two bonus tool pockets on the side of the right leg that are SO useful! I didn’t even realize they were there until after I had worn them a time or two. What a nice surprise! <br /><br />I told myself if I liked this pair after a few days of use, I would buy another. I like them so much I’ve decided to buy two! I’m trying out both of the other available colors, and I’ll more than likely end up buying more pairs of the black in the future, too. <br /><br />I could recommend these to everyone I know! I truly and honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about them. I am excited to try more of your products now that I know you make such high quality, useful clothing. Thank you Carhartt!
I am a gardener in a cooler climate. I love these pants and bought them in all three colours. My favorite is the grey and black. I don't think there is enough contrast in the navy and black, and black just looks like you wore out the knees because of the patches, in my opinion.<br /><br />They are not tight-tight like regular leggings so they feel more work-pant-like but still look good enough to wear casually outside of the workday. <br /><br />I appreciate the reinforced knees, I alternate putting my cellphone in the back pockets or the leg pocket. I like how they move on my body. They are high enough waisted that when I bend down, my backside is still covered.
I'm thick. They are very high rise. They dont hurt my tummy. They are very flattering and forgiving. I can do any kind of labor in them. I even exercise in them. I love the fabric and feel. 10 out of 10 will ALWAYS recommend these?
Picked these up at a store because they were on sale. I LOVE them - plenty of pockets, durable - I hike in them and run in them. They wash beautifully and look new. The knees don't pouch out. I have received many compliments on them. I will be buying them again even if they aren't on sale.
I love my leggings! I’ve washed and worn them countless time and they look just as good as they did when I bought them! They still fit nice and snug and don’t move around as I do throughout the day. Can’t recommend them enough!
I really want to love these. I ordered them right after I had a baby this winter and haven't been able to try them until now. They seem super well made and durable. I'm usually a 14 but, bought an XL so they wouldn't be sticking to my body like skin. While they accommodate my rather larger booty, everywhere else is big. Since i cannot return these, im going to attempt to wash and shrink these in the hopes that will do the trick. Will update after.
They are great comfortable pants but the grey and black pair run smaller then my black pair
I had to order these via Mark's work warehouse since this site didn't allow my visa debit. I was excited to finally be able to order these as with my job as a truck installer I needed pants that could get wet, dirty and that I could move around, under and in/on trucks all day. They do the trick, and stay up so I'm not forever hiking my pants up. They're comfortable too! BUT. I wear a utility belt for work and after the first day the front right pocket and the front panel between the two pockets wore and started to pill. I stopped wearing my belt as I want these to last more than a month or two.
I got these leggings about 2 weeks before NY PAUSE started so initially I had thought I would wear them occasionally, maybe weekends here and there but that would be it. I've ended up wearing them 4 to 5 days of the week since everything went down. I don't have a strenuous job but I do have 2 young kids and a dog so the leggings are taking a beating and holding up great. Priced very well for the quality of the product. I really can't recommend them enough. When I was them I air dry which may have an effect on the shape and stretch.
When I first got them they were a bit stiff so the fit was kinda strange. They just need some breaking in though. I'll never own another pair of women's pants ever again now that I've had a pair of these. Theres no comparison. All the sturdiness and pocket space of actual pants but all the comfort of a pair of leggings. <br />My only complaint is that they dont have belt loops. I sewed my own on. So its not a big deal. <br />Definitely worth it
I wanted to love these but couldn’t justify being just “ok” with $60 leggings. The fit was weird in the crotch and around the knees. They were just overall unflattering and underwhelming and I was really disappointed. The fabric seems durable and I loved the heather grey color I ordered with the black pockets, but I didn’t see myself actually working in them as I knew I’d be pulling them up constantly
These are the best work pants! I am a farmer and I love how these allow me to have enough flexibility to easily climb in and around things, comfortable enough for long days in the tractor, and rugged enough that crawling on the gravel to get under and work on an implement doesn't hurt. <br />I have 3 pair! I also wear them hiking.
I like wearing leggings but normal materials don’t hold up. I absolutely love these leggings! I can go hiking in the trails and come home and start yard work not having to worry about changing my pants!<br />What’s even better is I have White German Shepherds and the hair doesn’t stick to them!!
Very upset. I’ve worn these leggings three times now, and I actually recommended them to multiple people since I have a hard time finding good leggings to work in. I just took them off and there are holes on the back of them already. Upset and disappointed in the quality because I thought they’d be better, especially for the price.
I have these pants in in all 3 colors. I love them for the farm or weapons range. Warm and flexible to move swiftly. Wished they offered them in brown and Tarmac color.
I am not a fan of most leggings but I work at an animal sanctuary and needed work pants with pockets that I wouldn't overheat in. I got two pairs a year and a half ago and am just about to replace one pair of them! They have stood up to me wearing them all the time and in all weather conditions. The material is much thicker than normal leggings and the feel can take a minute to get used to. The first day I wore them to work I let my coworkers feel them before they ordered and now most of the people I work with have these leggings. I am 5'4" and ~155lbs, and ordered a M.
I love mine! Very warm and fit perfectly!
Absolutely love these pants! I’m a drywaller and have gone through so many leggings. These are so durable and all the pockets make them even better ! Highly recommend!!
No idea why these pants are reviewed highly by so many people! I'm a CRM archaeologist and have been looking for comfortable but durable pants to wear on survey. I decided to try these leggings because they were cute and figured the slim fit would be good because they wouldn't get snagged on barbed wire when climbing over/under fences. I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs, usually wear an 8 or 10 depending on brand. The pants run small but these fit ok. The fabric is so uncomfortable and hot! I can't imagine doing anything physical in them. Just wearing them around the house for a half hour made me sweaty hot. Definitely sending them back cuz I'm not interested in wearing a thick pair of pantyhose to work in.
Loove these. I bought a small, I am 5’0 about 138lbs and I wear about a 27 pants. I got a little bit of a booty and they still have a lot of space in them, almost baggy but not baggy? The waist is tight so they won’t be falling off I like them because it’s still REALLY cute but u can definitely get stuff done too.
I recommend them to everyone BUT-- please make them in other colors!<br /> I have the Tarmac from before they were discontinued and I don't find the patch designs in the new colors to be attractive or flattering.<br />I DO like the wide, snug waistband (great for CCW), and the POCKETS!! Pockets FTW! Finally womens' clothing with pockets deep enough for a cell phone!<br />If you redesign, consider reinforcing the inner thigh--that's where my pants always wear out first rather than the knees.
Very disappointed in the Quality of these leggings. I wore them one day and the seams in the crotch were already starting to split.
These leggings are so nice and durable. The fabric is thick so I can wear them while working, but also cute enough to wear out for the day to stay super comfy! I am 5' 1" so I do need to fold them for the proper length.
super comfy for all activities
I love how the the whole pants are very strong and the key pads are enforced so that is very nice for when working.
Truefit failed me horribly, I hope they shrink.
I really loved these leggings when I first got them a couple months ago. I've worn them only 3 times and only casually (not for any activity that would test their durability). I just noticed that there's already a hole in the butt seam, and I have to assume it's an issue of quality. Because these aren't tight on me, the tear wasn't caused by me stretching them out. Anyway, I'm sad as I will now be afraid to wear these in public anymore.
These leggings are super durable but also soft and comfortable. No seam chafing, they won’t show underwear lines, good length BUT I would suggest to size down. I’m a size 8/ medium in everything but I’m a small in these leggings. The waste on the medium is really big and they do stretch out throughout the day.
These leggings are fantastic. I love how large the pockets are and how durable the fabric seems. <br /><br />I would wear these every single day if I could. I struggle to find pants that flatter my curvy figure that are durable enough for work, but these definitely fit the bill.
My daughter gave these to me and they have become my daily uniform -- I have 4 pairs. I can put my phone in the side leg pocket and never worry about misplacing or dropping it. I've told all my friends about them and my husband likes the way they flatter my figure.
I really loved them. They are the right size. I guess they can’t endure hours in the seat of my crane. I only got to wear them 4 times and the seam in the rear from the crotch got huge runs in it. I am so sad! I wish I could add pictures.
I'm an HVAC/R technician and am also very petite... I haven't found a pair of workpants that fit well
great fit and great utility design! HOWEVER, got them late Oct 2019 and haven't even worn them "rough" and the fabric is disintegrating around the butt seam :( i'm heartbroken!
Fit true to size 5'7" 135 ordered a small and they fit great. They are cute enough for everyday wear but also great for hiking and getting dirty. They are durable, but also flexible. I like them and are contemplating another pair in a different color. The only other improvement I would make is to have them lined for the colder days.
These are my favorite pants. They are comfortable, durable, and flexible. I need pants that can pack small for travel where they hold up for a week of field work and not lose their shape or durability. These met that need. These have become a travel staple for me as well. I know they will work in a multitude of settings and they hand wash and hang dry well when that's the only option. If I have to not pick, I do occasionally have to pull them up, but I am a very leggy lady (33inch inseam) and this is pretty par for the course for me.
Absolutely no stretch in these leggings. Couldn’t even begin to get them over my hips. The waistband doesn’t stretch at all.
Love the pockets!I’m 5’2” wt 130. A med is a little big, the tag says 8-10, but room for thermals if need be. I use these for riding and fishing. They are long. The reinforced knees are nice, I’m always crawling around on the ground. These should hold up great. Did I say I love the pockets?!
I thought these were the leggings of my dreams. They are the most comfortable pair of pants I have EVER worn with pockets too! I bought two size medium and they both fit a little loose on me which I like. But after wearing one pair for about a week it started tearing in the crotch even with it being a little large on me. So I started wearing the other pair and it started tearing near the waistline. Once again these are a little loose on me and I am not doing heavy labor in them. $120 down the drain, that’s time of my life gone forever. My target leggings have lasted a couple years :/<br />Will be buying the men’s carhartt from now on:(
I bought these to have some durable leggings for choring around the farm. They are comfortable, have deep pockets, and have held up with all of my activities. They even have enough room to throw some thermals under when it gets really cold out.
I am 5' 5" and I bought the medium and I love the style and the fit but they are very long. I can definitely hem them, but maybe Carhatt could offer a short version like with some of their other pants. They seem like they will hold up well.
Can you please make a longer legging? I need a 35"! Please!!
I like these pants for my active farm work. They are warm and durable but lack stretch. They fit well and are comfortable but getting on or off could be better with a waist line with more stretch.
Comfy and breathable
