Stretch fit, lightweight but rugged, and oh! Those wonderful knee pads! Plenty of pockets, right number of belt loops…can’t find anything to complain about!
Great quality durable look and feel very nice only thing I’d say is price point is high
Carhartt has probably never considered that women under 5'5" exist. I'm 4'11", 92 lbs, and work a job that requires good, sturdy work pants. I went by the fitting guide on the website, and while I knew a size 2 would be roomy on me, I had no idea I was ordering a swimming pool. I can hem pants just fine, I do it often, but c'mon Carhartt, you can't make pants for hard-working shorties? There were over 4 inches of overlap in the hip when I put a belt on these, and could fit almost 2 of my legs in one pant leg. Also the fabric felt thin and I remember the older versions had rivets. So disappointing. Returning so I can get my hard earned money back and spend it on a company that keeps quality and all sizes and shapes of women in mind.
Great comfortable fit!
I’m so disappointed with the new version of the women’s double front work pants. They’re too baggy- almost like bell bottoms- the material is thin and there are no more rivets. I have a couple pair of the old model that I’ll have to hang onto, I guess. Will probably get more work pants from the company that makes workwear for women that lasts and fits. They’re more expensive but you get what you pay for, it’s true.
Very loose in the legs
Comfortable and moves with you while you work.
I wear a size 28/6 in jeans, but couldn’t button a size 6 in these pants. Size 8 fits perfectly. I’m 5’5”, I wear these with my Carhartt Wellington boots which are bulks and have a slight heel on them. Those boots are large enough that the length on these pants aren’t a problem. If I’m wearing any other less-bulky boot, I have to roll the pant legs up a couple inches. While these fit great, they are not the same material as the men’s double front canvas work pants, which is frustrating. They don’t feel nearly as durable or as protective. I guess they made them daintier for us dainty ladies -__- Truly appreciate the military discount! Super easy to use.
Terrible quality. Super thin cotton that rips on almost anything. I work trail crew and just want a durable pair of pants that fit me how I want them to. Why do we only have choices of bad quality or skinny jeans when mens pants have an entire wall in any carhartt store dedicated to all the different kinds of ‘mens’ work?
Not the original. Thin no rivets.
I ordered these pants in April and they still have not arrived, today is June 11th. The arrival date keeps getting pushed back.
I was so excited to buy some good work plants but sadly paying for brand name, not to mention pink tax and then them not lasting more than 6 months before they tore at the seams. I don't do THAT of intense work that should warrant a ripe in these pants. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I love these pants- they are pretty much the only pant I keep ordering from Carhartt now! They have just a bit of a loose fit, esp the boot cut, and they still are still durable and have the pockets for knee pads… and chocolate brown is the best color! Thanks!
I work at an animal shelter and needed pants that would stand the test of time…. and dogs. These fit amazing and have pockets, pockets, did I say lots of pockets?! To carry anything I could possibly need to carry. The quality is second to none. Just bought 2 more pairs!
I bought these as work pants for when I help my dad in his wood working shop. I’m typically a size 4 in jeans/shorts and went up to a 6 in these pants. I’ve got plenty of room to move around, they aren’t too tight but also not baggy. I’m 5’6, about 140lbs and length was fine. I’m not giving 5 stars across the board since I can’t speak to every day durability, wear.
Love my Carhartt pants. I'm wearing a size 4. Very comfortable easy to move in. Love the knee pads and also that you don't have to remove them for washing! I now have 3 of my own pairs after wearing my husband's old one's for too long!
Second pair I have switched out, sizing is super off. Wish I would have grabbed a different style.
My favorite pants!!! I've been on the hunt for a pant that fits my body type (athletic- short and muscular). These fit so great! And look awesome.
These are wonderful - my new go to work pants for everything around the homestead. The fit is pretty good - large enough that I can layer with long johns in the winter, but not baggy for other seasons. lots of pockets of different sizes too!
Great fit and comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for. I live on a farm and was always tearing my jeans. These are tough enough to take abuse and stylish enough to wear into town. An excellent price for the quality.
Truly love these work pants! The only thing I do not like is that they ride below the waist instead of at the waist. But otherwise that are great - soft, comfortable, durable. Will definitely buy again!
Not designed for women, fit was horrible and sat on my waist very low. Wouldn’t even feel comfortable bending over in them.
Wore out my first pair. Bought others but they were heavier and not nearly as comfortable. Nearly wore them out too though before I found the exact pants I loved before. Now I only take them off on the weekend it seems, ha! These have a hammer loop and are stretchy, but still tough. Can’t get enough!
NO!! Anything with stretch is NOT for work. I mean serious work. Up and down ditches after laying pipe. Up and down off my knees for work. One pair had a rip in it on day 1. My 100% canvas pants never ripped.
I bought these because I kept shredding other pants. These have held up really well so far and would have rated well on that alone. <br />Bonuses: I didn’t realize how comfortable these would be or how nicely they’d fit. So sorry I didn’t buy sooner.
Very comfortable and soft. Easy to move in.
I would recommend these work pants . Functional and made well .
Too big and didn't have the size i needed to reorder.
VERY LOW RISE. I previously wore the Cymbal trousers and loved the ultra high rise but they lasted maybe a few months of everyday work wear. <br />These pants are low rise!!! Other reviews are right, they collect lint like crazy. It’ll take a couple washes to get the quality out of them. They’re also disgustingly long- i’m 5’6 and i have to roll them multiple times to get them to sit properly. i can’t put my phone in my pockets or my pants will fall off. <br />the next size down is too small in my thighs- im not particularly thicc or anything, literally built like gumby- very disappointed in these pants but absolutely need work pants since the previous carhartt i had ripped in the crotch from over wear ????
Great pants for fresh weather. Very happy with the sizing, I’m usually a tight 36, but these are super loose and very comfortable to crouch down in. But still a 36 waist so they don’t fall down.
Not true to size, fits almost 2 sizes too small in the waist and not the original hardy canvas material I was expecting from carrhartt. <br /><br />The pants I bought for my husband were also not true to size, and a full size too long- <br /><br />It’s very difficult to find work attire for women- sorry to see that carrhartt has joined the masses and also no longer offers functional workwear for women. <br /><br />If I wanted an ill fitting soft cargo pant, I would’ve gone to Walmart. <br /><br />Now I’m out the money for shipping in order to return these-
Changed their fabric AGAIN. Pants are thinner and not as durable. Will NOT last more than a month for welding. Disappointed but carhartt doesn’t give a crap about women blue collars.
Thin material, nothing at all like the rugged Carhartt Kane double-fronts I have worn to work for years. I can't find any current Carhartt work dungarees that are similar to the Kane. I guess I will have to try a different brand. I am very disappointed. Go back to making work clothes, we have plenty of stupid "lifestyle" brands already.
The size 2 feels different than my previous pairs of the same size (pants were larger than expected). Otherwise comfortable though!
I normally wear between sizes 8 and 10 in women's pants, and in men's I'm usually a 30x34. Based on the reviews that these ran large, I ordered a size 8. It came and does not fit. Way too tight. I'm also sorry to see that the women's fit does not offer much advantage over the men's fit, for me. I'll just be ordering men's clothes from now on.
I loved my first pair of Carharrts that are a bit on the baggy side (bonus for extra winter layers) which I purchased last year. I ordered another pair in the exact same fit
As a female in the construction industry, for NINE years, I have searched high and low for dependable work pants. These by far are my favorite, they fit nicely but not too snug, they're made of durable flexible material, so they stretch with you when you bend instead of pulling down. Some of you ladies are having issues with size not being small enough. Try the Carhartt women's work jeans, I have a few pair of them and as they hold up nicely they fit more like a size 4 instead of my size 6 that they are. That being said you smaller ladies might wanna try those ones. (hope this helps SOMEONE) …. <br />These do not have the rivets in the corners which is nice so that in winter months (I live in Washington state, cold 8 months out of the year) the rivets don't freeze you when they touch your skin. The pockets are great, and the material isn't rough at all which is also a plus. I've worn this brand and style Carhartt for a few years now and they never disappoint, ALTHOUGH, I would absolutely love these in denim. <br /><br />CARHARTT do your thing!!<br /> WE WANTS THESE IN DEMIN PLEASE!! :) <br /><br />Hope this review helps someone in the future.<br /> -Sha
NEEDS TO COME IN DENIM!!! Fit great, easy to work in, and pockets are sufficient. Just start making them in denim!!
I was looking forward to having a pair of dependable work pants but was let down by the sizing provided by Carhartt. I ordered my normal size, a size 2 short (I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs), but these pants fit very loosely and had to be rolled twice just so I wouldn't trip over them (I can't imagine what the regular length pants would have been like). Seeking functionality, these pants do not hit the mark. I'm disappointed that Carhartt does not have options available for small women, it feels a bit discriminatory, as if we don't need work pants ourselves. Please update sizing to fit true to size and provide more inclusive options.
These pants definitely run large. I am normally a size 2, but swim a bit in this size 2. My one real complaint is the way they are made very hippy...size 2 women do NOT have hips, so there is no need for the extra material that these pants have at the hips. It causes them to bunch up under a belt. Not a deal breaker, but they definitely could be more comfortable, if they actually fit well. Maybe if they were made in a size 0, that would help, but they don't come below a size 2. Skinny chicks need work pants, too!<br /><br />I'm transitioning from cargo pants, so I do wish there were more pockets, but I really came to Carhartt looking for comfort and durability for work. So far, they are holding up well. They are not super heavy, which makes them much more comfy than heavy ol' cargo pants, but they're not super light weight, either, and I think they will do well in the colder months.
Got a whole TWO MONTHS out of these pants before burning through the inner thighs and one layer of the knees. Total CRAP. Don't waste your time on Carhartts anymore, they don't make quality women's work wear anymore. I prefer Dovetail, hands down.
We are farmers and I couldn't live without these in the spring and fall, and my lined Carhart's in the winter time.
I wear these pants for everyday barn chores and I’ve had the same pair for over two years now!
If I could give these zero stars I would. Thin material, runs extremely large and the seams did not last.
I like the jeans in every way, but they seems to run larger than similar size in other jean brands. I ordered a size 4, which I have in some other jeans, but they are too big. I will wash in hot water and hope they shrink a bit.
Favorite pants!! Durable but comfortable!
Unfortunately they are too big for a ten. But washed them already. I think an 8 would be better. A ten works great in the shorts though. Thanks for asking
I like my pants. I like the relaxed knee style of these pants. I do wish the fabric was a heavier weight. My husband wears double leg carhartt pants and his are a lot heavier weight fabric than mine. His are more protective and durable.
Love these pants! I wasn’t sure about the double vs. single front but I’m so glad I got the double. They aren’t too hot or stiff and I really appreciate the extra protection, especially when kneeling. Also love having “real” pockets!
Quality is horrible compared to 2 years ago. Not the same pants at all.
Buyer beware! They are NOT the same great construction from a few years ago. Thin fabric, no rivets, no kick panel at ankle. I’m very sad that they’ve gone downhill.
Great fit, comfortable, durable quality, pockets are nice and deep.
Wears more like a mans pants translated into woman’s sizes. Very boxy and baggy.
5 stars fashionable and durable
These are exactly what I wanted and sized appropriately. I have curves and was scared it was meant for thin people. I was pleasantly surprised that they fit very well.
The fit is a little weird
I don’t even need to purchase these pants to know that these won’t be thick enough fabric for work in the woods. Shame on Carhartt for thinking women only need/want thin 8 oz. canvas. Start making quality workwear again or once you’re out of fashion, you’ll lose every female customer. ...which I’m guessing you don’t care about since we’re likely a small demographic anyway. ??
They were a little shorter than expected but I like the overall fit
I had a pair of Crawford Double-Front Pants from 2017 that I LOVED. They fit perfectly! I wore straight through them, so I ordered 2 more pair this year, but they fit totally differently. I was so disappointed with how they felt on that I returned them. The waist sits higher and the legs are wider and longer. There's just too much fabric in the wrong places. I wish I had known that they changed the cut. Such a bummer!
Just what I was looking for! They fit perfectly, and look great! I now wear them to work most days. I would have bought a second pair in another color, if available -- but was told they only came in denim.
I’m wondering if I got a fluke pair. I ordered my usual carhartt size but these were humongous. I was also expecting a completely different pant because I had purchased pants under the same style name 2 years ago and they were my favorite. These do not compare. I don’t like how soft they are- I need more durability and I can’t find any original fit pants with the same tough durable fabric. I also love that my old pair, had an extra panel on the bottom leg hem to prevent holes from wear. <br />Carhartt should take the “straight fit twill double front pant” and make an original fit version with an extra panel on the leg hem. <br />Never getting rid of my carhartts from 8 years ago because they don’t make enough of the original durable style for woman ! <br />Also start making size 0. And size 0 L
As a female who isn't afraid of work, I had trouble finding a pair of pants that fit me well and didn't rip or tear easily. I am a fan of the crawford fit for women and feel that they fit true to size. The first time you put these on after washing they will be a little snug, but they loosen up quickly. The double front style holds up longer than the original crawford pants. Pockets are great to hold tools and my phone. Hammer holder is placed well so the tools stays out of my way when bending and moving. I will be buying more of these pants down the road.
I do believe they run large but everything else, functionality, durability, yadda yadda, is fantastic!
I wish that women’s pants were made with the same quality and attention to design that the men’s are, but they are not. This is the second time I’ve tried to get a pair of good work pants from Carhartt and again the quality, design, and fit were horrendous. Do better.
I love the feel and stretch of the fabric. I wish there was more room in the seat (my bum falls out unless I have a belt) and a bit less in the front (still feels like men’s pants...roomy for “parts”) I am keeping them and giving them 4 stars because they are the best fit and feel of all the women’s work pants I have found.
I don’t know what women these pants are made for, but it’s certainly not for women with hips and a butt. The rise is way too low, the waistband isn’t thick enough and the overall fit it incredibly poor. I wish they could make double front work pants with a high rise and a cut that fits properly.
These pants are the overall best work pants for my field. I'm an electrician and these pants are the best for bending done or over extending without having anything show or them falling down. Not to mention the stretch that they have. I am a size 6 but am buying an 8 next time for a little more of a relax fit. Overall, love it and will continuously buy these pair!
I started a career in a trade almost two years ago and have been continuously let down by these pants to the point that I've given up and switched brands. Everything else Carhartt I have I love but these pants are not good. Within a few months of wearing these for work multiple pairs ripped in the inner thigh. Not an unknown problem to me however I've never had pants do so so quickly. They also shrink quite a big as they age and get washed many times, even washing per the care label. The only Carhartt pants to not let me down so far are the mens version.
My old pair of Carhartt double front pants were great, but over 15 years old. I ordered 14 Short. My old pair was sized at a 28 inch inseam, these were 5 inches longer than that. WAY TOO LONG! And the material and fit of these new ones was sub-par. I sent them back and got some amazing pants from dovetail workwear and they are amazing. No more Carhartt for me!
This has been a common problem for me with other brands. I find the regular length that fits perfectly in the seat and thighs but is 2-4" too short in the legs. When I order the long version, they are bigger overall, not just in length. <br /><br />I am a strong, athletic, slim build with long limbs. I want pants that fit, that I can move in, that I can WORK in comfortably that are also durable and flattering. <br /><br />So if the 2R and 2L are actually not the same cut and fit... that can be difficult for accurate sizing. And if they aren't, it feels like maybe your 2 is actually a 4...
I am 5'6" and weigh about 140 lbs. I purchased these in a size 4 which is my normal size and the same size of all my other Carhartt pants. These are incredibly long and I had to roll them up 2 times. Definitely did not look good and I will probably not really wear them too frequently. The quality and durability is there but the sizing is off
I had previously purchased a pair of size 4 regular 104296’s and found them to be of good quality and a perfect fit. I am 5’4 and 130 lbs. These Crawford Double front pants in the same size are baggy and ill fitted. I had to hem them about 1.25 inches. I am disappointed and wish sizes were consistent so that we’d know what we are buying.
Terrible work pants. Light material and very large through the legs. I agree with one review in why do the men get the better gear.
Carhartt used to make women’s versions of all their men’s pants. They featured the same heavy duty (12 oz) cotton duck as the men’s pants, only in women’s specific sizes. The “Crawford” Double Front Pants are a more fashionable, but less durable (only 8oz duck) replacement for the WB136 women’s original Washed Duck Double Front Work Dungarees (same as men’s B136, only cut for women’s bodies). Please bring back the old-school, heavy-duty women’s pants options (WB136, WB011, etc). The newer, more fashionable Crawford styles look nice, but hard-working women still need to have access to the rugged, old school styles that the men still have. You would never dream of discontinuing the men’s B136, so why not bring back our WB136?
There not as thick as they should be and the sizing runs way to big
I have been struggling to find work pants for myself since they stopped making the 1889 Slims. Also been trying to cope with the fact that my legs are apparently a size larger than my waist - thus either having pants with a waist that fits but my thighs pull them down, or having pants that fit my legs but are extremely baggy in the waist and uncomfortable to cinch up with a belt. I took a gamble on these and was pleasantly surprised. They fit my body shape great, no belt needed. 4 tall is also long enough for me at 5’10”. They are lighter weight fabric, but so far seem pretty durable, which is great as I work in high temperatures. I am a brewer and after a couple shifts of cellaring/brewing they seem to hold their shape, even wet. The dye is already discolored from strong chemicals, which I never had a problem with the heavier canvas pants. Nonetheless, they are flattering, and comfortable as pajamas (feels like cheating!)
I am actually slightly disappointed in how thin these are. I bought some over a year ago and they are thicker. The design and fabric has definitely changed and I am not a huge fan. These are super soft which is nice but won’t keep me warm in the cold. I have to wear Long Johns underneath. They’re also a little bigger compared to the others I have bought in the past. I needed some extra pants for hunting, so I kept them. I won’t be buying more unless the quality changes most likely.
Comfortable. But they could more narrow around at the bottom. Even if I’m wearing leggings underneath, the bottoms seem way to roomy with boots on still. <br />I bought a medium knee pad to go with my size 16. I think a large size would of filled out better. <br />I would buy again.
Super comfortable with just enough stretch. They fit great, my only wish is that the ankles were cut a bit narrower so they would fit inside my boots. Other than that, I love them
It's no ones fault that I have skinny thighs! They are a bit big in the leg for me - I will try a slender cut next time - overall very comfy.
Baggy fit, hung too low on hips. Returned for another style.
I was specifically search for the double front believing it would be like the original double front material. The material feels flimsy and some of the stitching was off.
These are my absolute favorite pants. They are durable but soft not thin by any means. I would say they stretch a tiny bit in the thighs and seat. It depends on how you wear them. I like them skin tight so I get a smaller size to get the little stretch in them. Curvier women i would get your true size in my opinion because this is my second time trying sizes.
The material on these Crawford double front pants is perfect. Not to heavy, but will stand up to some abuse. I’m 5’4” and 125# and the size 2 fits well.
Love the fit and look! I am 5'9" and purchased the 8L. Fit perfectly to my 145lb frame. Now I feel like I can better handle my garden chores.
I love these, warm, comfortable. The do collect a lot of dirt and hair. I am disappointed that something made for work collects hair so well. I am hopeful the double fronted knees keep me from wearing through the knees, but haven't had them long enough to tell. I wear them to work as a veterinarian and am on the floor a lot, around hair, but also want to look presentable
I am 5'2, 118pounds. I bought size 2 Short. I had to hem the pant leg a bit , but that's always the case for me with every brand. Otherwise perfect, relaxed fit. Wore them while putting in stone walkway, on my knees all day. very comfortable.
Love them! Arrived to Canada quickly and are exactly as shown
Super comfy and the fit is perfect!
Love these pants. Only thing is that it sits weird on my waist. They aren’t high waisted or low rise. But would be a lot better if they were high rise. Other than that, they’re super comfy and versatile.
The fabrics is much thinner than I thought and they collect everything. Not what I am used to with Carhartt. And for the price it is not worth it, to me.
I like this cut; it has plenty of pockets and reinforced knees. This is my second pair of these pants. I got regular the first time (I’m about 5’7 1/2) and they were a bit short, this time I went with the tall and that needed a hem but overall looked better. 3 stars for durability because the crotch isn’t reinforced and it wore out and got holes fairly quickly (hence the need for a second pair)
I bought a new pair of these to replace a pair that is getting very worn. They should be exactly the same (original fit size 4) with the exception that my new pair is ‘tall’ since my old pair is a little short. Upon working a day in my new pair, I found them to be much too large around the waist and thighs and they’re missing the metal rivets on the legs. I noticed that the new pair is made in India and the old pair in China. The new pair began chaffing my hips and inner thighs and upon direct comparison with my old pair, are about 1.5 inches longer on the waist band.
I am 5’8, 158 lbs and the size “6 tall” fit me well. They were surprisingly a bit snug in the rear (unusual bc I am relatively slender) but not enough to affect functionality. I wear these doing yard work, hiking and camping as well as working at our barn and riding horses. I would buy again; These are comfortable and arguably flattering work pants.
I just bought two pairs of these pants because I was sick of all the jeans pinching.....sensitive places. In a time where it is difficult to find actual work pants in women's sizes, these pants fit the bill almost perfectly. I'm 5'04", 130 pounds and I bought size 6 in the regular inseam. I have no doubt I will be able to fix fence, brand cattle, and even ride in these pants. This size is a little roomy on me, but I can't stand tight clothing so these are perfect. They are soft and stretchy so I know I will be able to squat down without having to hike my pant legs up first. <br /><br />The only mark against them for me is that they are made in India. How I wish more things were made here in the United States.....
Great fit and comfortable.
I work a very hard job as a pipefitter and my jeans rarely last long. These things are SO comfy and fit very well! I absolutely love all the pockets for my tools. Also prevents weld burns very well. Wish I would of gotten these sooner!
Ive been wearing the double front 102730 style pant for years and now they are discontinued. Carhartt needs a sexier fit rugged work pant. Something fitted but not skinny. Please bring back 102730 ??
Bought as a gift for my daughter. She loves them!
These run a little small, which is good for me. Size 0 is not offered, but Size 2 fits great. The waist is tight enough. The fabric is durable but it breathes, which is good for hot weather.
These are great pants with lots of pocket space. The one pocket fits my iphone xr perfectly. Unfortunately every pair of carhartts I've boughten have wore out in the crotch/thigh area. I wear them everyday for 12hrs 4 days a week in a lumber mill and really with they'd start double lining the inner thigh area. Most womens thighs rub!!!
Smaller than expected. Dont assume the size you where in one double front pant will be the same as another in the Crawford line
I love these pants!! So comfortable and they fit perfectly <3
I'm 5'-4', 170 lbs, I'm a military contractor and sometimes I feel like my pants are too tight fitting. The fit of these pants are nice because they feel thick and durable enough to protect your skin, but stretchy enough to hug curves. After wearing them on a construction site for 8 hours, they held up nicely and didn't give me a poopy pant look. If you don't like typical women flare pants, you can always tuck the bottom with a hair tie into your boot or fold them up (my inseam is 31", I should have gotten a short - but no problem) As I kept washing and wearing them, they got loose so just beware. I use them more than just at work, you can literally wear them to go out to do errands. Overall I enjoy them!!
The pants are great! However, I’m 5’10” and the tall sizes aren’t quite tall enough. I unhemmed them and they’re still a little too short
They had a stretchy, less durable fabric which I don’t want for work. I actually work in my pants and don’t buy them just to look cute in. The previous pair I bought locally were a nice sturdy canvas. Carhartt, please don’t assume that because we’re women we don’t need our pants to be just as durable as men’s.
While these looks and feel great, they are not durable at all. After 1 week (4 ten hour days) of wearing them, the inner thighs are so worn out that there is a hole on one side. I am the only woman at my job, and all the men wear durable Carhartts. I expected to be able to do the same, and got the most durable women’s cut they offered. I cannot wear men’s sizes due to my hourglass body shape. I hope that they can update their description to specify that they do not make their women’s pants in the same material as the men’s.
I got these pants for house keeping work, I love them very durable and comfortable.
Did not fit me as described by the item description. Highly disappointed. Pants are way to big for me.
The cut is too baggy. I have thicker legs and the cut in the legs is still way too baggy. :( So much so that I won't wear them, but I already washed them, so not going to try to return. :(( Sad.
I've gone through 6 pairs of these throughout the years - they are the best pants. I'm a metalworker who sprays grinder sparks at them all day. Eventually this makes holes, but they've miraculously never caught fire. <br /><br />Positives: lots of pockets. Don't gap at the back when you bend over. Tough stitching. Flattering fit (I get a size 4. I'm 5'3", 120 lbs) Leaves room to move, without being too baggy. Comfortable as hell. <br /><br />Negatives: docked a star because the pockets need to be bigger (expandable please, with a flap! Like men's pants). Colour eventually fades with time. But honestly, I don't care. This is the best that's out there.
The fit was too baggy. I returned them.
These were not what I was expecting. The material was stretchy, and I prefer a stiff canvas-like material. They didn’t fit me either so I gave them to my mom who loves them. <br />So they weren’t great for me, but they were for my mom.
It’s made of very thin stretchy fabric. They won’t last long if you work in construction. It’s like wearing pj’s to work.
This is not what I expected: I had a pair that were made in China for over three years- study, comfortable, and they fit. Loved them. The new pair I ordered were made in India- different material, poor fit, and flared at the bottom. I'm a size 2, and they felt more like a size 4.
Ok, I have been wearing Carhartts for only a few years, since I started landscape gardening as a side gig. The first two pair I purchased were "slim fit”, size 10, one in short, one in regular length. They fit perfectly though I would stick with the regular length as short was a wee bit shorter than I like.<br />But, of late I haven’t found the fabric I like and there is no model # inside the pants. So I took a chance and ordered a pair I thought was them—way heavier material but good pants so no complaints. <br />Last time I ordered I wanted the material and double knee thing and all they had was “regular fit” in my size so I thought, what the hell? These pants could fit two of me in them. Same size 10 but 2” longer and so big in the waist and hips I don’t even like wearing them they are so baggy. <br />Sooo, whatever size you wear regularly that fits in any other cut, plan to go down one size for “regular fit."
Look great, fit great. Very well made will definitely buy again.
After going through a few different sizes until I found the right ones (totally worth it) I have undeniably fallen in love with these pants. I feel power surging from the interwoven fabrics and can accomplish more mowing and farming than I previously thought possible. They're even great for saving frogs out of rain barrels.
I love them…I ordered in two colors. I was disappointed that despite ordering the EXACT same size, and the tags in both pairs being identically sized, the brown ones were obviously one size larger. I can pull them off without undoing them. <br />Rather than worrying about getting the correct size, seeing as the label was wrong… I bought some suspenders and that fixed the problem.
I loved the previous version of these pants, the fit is great and durability was bomber with the rivet-reinforced seams and double front knees but the new model is missing rivets. The new pant model is of poor quality and I will be returning.
These are my new favorite pair of pants. They feel so good next to your skin, and they fit the body perfectly. I wear these all day for work, then at home, on the weekends, quick trips out and about. I love these pants!
Comfortable, soft fabric however it is a lint and fur magnet. Not made out of the more rugged “jean/denim-like” material that repels fur hairs better. Little snug around the waist but has large relaxed fit everywhere else, waist is more narrow than hip and legs fyi.
I ordered the brown size 8 short (I am 5'3" and 132 lbs) which were a bit roomy/stretchy so I could crouch and move very comfortably while at work as a lift mechanic. They are fitted nicely and look quite 'stylish' for a work pant. Lots of well placed pockets and tool loops, very functional. The only issue I had was that they wore out around the thighs after only about a month and half of wear, so badly that I had to retire them after a few attempts at patching them back together because they simply would not hold together.. I was very pleased with them to begin with but was quite disappointed by the end! They didn't last me any longer than a $5 pair of old jeans from value village. I would very much recommend these pants for 'weekend work', say for gardening or camping, as they look nice, fit well, and are extremely light and comfortable, but if you are hard on pants like I am and looking for a reliable pair for work these are not worth the money. I have attached a picture of the back after I attempted to patch them with another pair of old jeans
I love these pants! They’re comfortable and so perfect for digging in the dirt when it’s cool out. I feel like there’s nothing I could do that would damage them.
I work as a wine consultant in a grocery store. I kneel all the time to get to the bottom shelves. These pants, with the knee pads inserted, are a true gift. I can do the whole length of shelves on my knees, get up at the end, and nothing hurts! I usually had to get up a quarter of the way through because of knee pain. The side hammer loop and pocket hold the feather duster I am required to carry inconspicuously so I don't look like I have an ostrich tail!
I have worn Carhartts for over 20 years. I had 2 pairs of the original women's double-front canvas duck pants and they lasted forever. The new generation of women's pants fit me really well but my happiness with these end there. The durability of these have gone way, way down. I've gone through 2 pairs in 2 years and have had to patch them in several places because they tear so easily. The crotch of my newest pair (less than 6 months old) ripped out completely today, even though there were no obvious signs of wear and I haven't gained weight since I bought them. I'm really disappointed and may have to try some other brands to find something durable enough for a hard working woman.
I sent them back because they were too short and don’t quite fit as expected. I will have to try a different pair/style.
I don’t love that the fabric for these pants is not as durable as men’s carhartt pants. They are as comfortable as sweat pants, but wear out quickly. I have ordered these pants multiple times and they are not the same every time. The last pair I ordered has a bit of a boot cut at the bottom and I really don’t like them. Too bad, because despite the weakness of the fabric, I wore my last pair until they were shredded and mostly made of patches. Will be sending my bootcut ones back and looking for work pants somewhere else from now on.
Don't know why I took so long to finally buy a pair of Carhartts! Durable, comfortable, ample back coverage.
I loved these pants when I first got them because of the fit and utility. Unfortunately, the material doesn't stand up to hard work the way the men's pants do. I'm so tired of finding sub-par materials in women's work pants. <br />I have had these pants for about 6 months. The front knee layers blew out within a month, and within the last couple months the ass and thighs have blown out as well. They are now unusable. <br />I hope Carhartt gets the message us hard working women are sending, that we need quality materials for our work wear, just as the men do.
I ordered a pair of these pants in December and loved them - great fit (no gap in the back!), sturdy canvas fabric that stands up to abuse, and rivets at the seams. The side pocket fits my work phone perfectly and allows me to move freely without my phone popping out of my hip or back pocket. I decided to order another pair and got an unwelcome surprise. Although they are supposedly the same size and model, the new pair has a much softer and stretchier fabric, gaps terribly in the back, does not have the metal rivets, and generally doesn't fit right. I will be returning them. The first pair I bought was made in China, and the second pair was made in India. I now will never order Carhartt online, only go to a store. Returns are a waste of my time and money when this should have been a reliable product.
I’ve bought 2 pairs of carhartt a, simply because of a lack of availability of women’s workwear. I’m a huge fan of carhartt, but not their women’s clothing. My bibs wore out in a month (knees blown out, pockets have huge holes, etc.) and my black pants wore out within 2. They are now fully blown (butt, knees, thighs, bottoms, everything.) <br />I’m in the trades and I’m thoroughly disappointed that carhartt can’t cater to women. I wish they would ask us what we need, as we all have very helpful tips. We are not all gardeners, nurses, or painters. We work hard, just like men. Please help.
I wish I could give it 5 stars for a comfy fit (4short) . However I’m really sad they didn’t last long for me. I did trail work in these and they ripped just by sitting on a rock or walking through brush.. I eventually got tired of sewing up the holes that were on my bum so I stopped wearing them. I’d love to buy another pair because of how comfy they were but I don’t want to constantly patch up my pants after a days work on the trail.
Very comfortable pants. True to size with room to move. Much prefer the double knee over the original. Size 4 side pockets fit a knife and a pen, phone if you don't need it quickly - could be a hair wider to fit tools easier. I work on a roof in the sun and would really like to see some lighter color options please!
I am incredibly disappointed that the pant design has changed so much. I work around barbed wire, fencing, and tough environments and my old pants (the heavy ones with the rivets) lasted three years. These pants ripped ON THE FIRST DAY OUT. This is absolutely unacceptable and nowI certainly can’t return them. These pants feel like Carhartts version of “shrink it and pink it.” Despicable.
These pants do not look like the picture!! The picture makes the material look like an almost black denim, with a worn in look. The picture also shows silver detailing on the double knee stitching on the front. This is not true, the pants are very matte black, almost a twill material, the type where every single piece of lint will stick to them. Also after the first wear I had threads in the side stitching starting to come loose. The description also says the fit is designed so there’s no waist gap in the back, which was also not true. Huge gap, and I ordered the size based on their true fit size guide. The pants are fine, just not however what I thought I was purchasing. Didn’t feel like going though the hassle of returning.
I bought these in both colors after buying the brown in store. At first I was unsure about the fit. I bought them in an 8 regular, I normally wear a size 6 in my Lucky brand jeans. I have large hips and butt. After breaking these in, I will absolutely be wearing these non stop. I like to play in the woods a lot with my kiddo and they have stood the test of Motherhood.
I need to return. They are to long.
It is long not short look like too big
I live these pair of pants, the fabric, the way they fit, everything about them, they are now my favorit pair of pants!!! :)<br /><br />Thank you, :)
Fist I’ll say they fit great!<br />BUT, if you are like me and want a real canvas hard core pant, these are not them. I’m disappointed that I can’t seem to find the real deal, real canvas carhartt work pants for women anymore. These are lighter weight, with stretch, that will come in handy for some jobs for sure.
This would be a full 5-star review if the waist didn't gap so badly (over 1" of gap in the back) and now I have to tailor it to fit, even with a belt.
I have purchased two of these pants but there are differences between both such as the fabric quality and the pants features (one had the metal press buttons
Did not fit as expected. Had to return, return cost was high. Will not order online again.
I am 5’8 and weigh about 140. I got size 4 in tall and I love them! They fit great!
They are great! A little baggie on the legs but they are comfy!!
The pants themselves are fine, but flare more than the picture suggests. I would go down a size when ordering- usually I am a six, but they're somewhat baggy on me. I'm returning them for a different style.
Quality and fabric are nice, but the size 2 is too big. Carhartt - start making a size 0 for smaller women who are looking for sturdy, work clothes! I bought an earlier version of this pant a couple years ago and they worked great. The earlier version had less stretch, but a truer Size 2 than this version. And I"m not looking for too much stretch in a double front work pant, more durability and fit.
Ordered these and another style in my usual size and the other ones fit perfect while these were huge. Too much of a hassle to return so just gave them to a friend.
Very loose fit. Fits waistline loose and stretch to these that I did not enjoy.. send info these back and a bummer they don’t do free returns.
Love that I can get comfortable womens work Jean's. I am a mechanical insulator and these Jean's allow me the comfort to move around.
I absolutely love these pants. I'm a structural welder and wear the double front pants exclusively to work (aside from when I'm wearing the full swing overalls). The double front protects my legs from all the weld spatter as well as provides extra durability while climbing in and out of the bucks at work.
I ordered 10 short I have a thinner waist and larger butt and thighs. These pants had A lot thinner material, but fabric color doesn’t fade as much. I’m giving 2 stars Bc the legs were wider at the calves than normal and they didn’t have any rivets (small metal buttons to help hold pockets and the corners of the double layer) I didn’t notice part this until well after purchases and wearing multiple times Otherwise I would have returned them. Hoping to order another pair soon that’s the correct shape and with rivets!
Comfortable FITS GREAT, TRUE TO SIZE. LOVE THE COLORS
I'm 5'11", usually a 27 waist and 36 length if I can find it. I bought black in 4 tall. These were okay as far as length- kind of my bare minimum. They would just hit the tops of boots which is fine. In the black, there are no silver rivets like shown in thw picture, which I was happy about! They feel like a soft flexible but thick denim. HOWEVER. I'm returning them because they really don't cut it for me as work pants. They are surprisingly nice looking, so if I needed to do a physical job but in a more formal environment they'd be good. But I do basic construction and these pockets are not real cargo pants pockets. The loop is TINY- not sure what that would ever hold but certainly not any of the tools I would want there. The side thigh pocket is also way too small for anything except maybe lile 3 sharpies. So, yet again, I'm very sad and annoyed that real cargo pants don't exist for women.
I've got two pairs. <br />I LOVE these pants, so comfy and they move with you every which way!
After a lack of help from the Carhartt support team over email, I have moved to this review section, so hopefully other women won’t have the same experience as me. <br /><br />The pants I received were NOT what is pictured on the Crawford pant’s images on Carhartt.com. I received pants that were incredibly baggy around my calves/ankle area and there were no rivets to secure the double layers, as pictured. Please be warned that the product is not the same as the imagery on the website!<br /><br />The quality of the fabric is thin and almost stretchy... I cannot even consider wearing these to my work environment, where I am working with heat, grinding metal, etc because there’s no way they would hold up. I will be returning these and not purchasing my women’s work pants from Carhartt, as the quality is inferior to the Carhartt men’s work pants. Women deserve better than thin stretchy “work” pants.
Good fit and moves well with you. However the material isn’t tough/thick enough to last long enough to be worth the money you pay. I bought two pairs and had worn holes in the crotch/bum on both of them in a few months. Please re-make this style with the thick material used in some of the men’s styles.
I work in a grocery store and I have to wear black pants. I went looking for pants for work and bought 1 pair to see how I like them, I went back and bought 4 more. These are the most comfortable work pants I have ever owned. I like that they fit the same in the store and after I washed them. I also love the seep pockets.
Love the fit and look of these pants! Very easy to work in as well.
Historically I’ve worn men’s double reinforced cotton duck trousers in a foundry environment. These pants are different in many ways - they have some give/ stretch, they are cut for curves and not straight like a board bodies, and they are both soft and comfortable.
Finally found women’s work wear company that doesn’t just “shrink it and pink it”. The pants I purchased are comfortable, sturdy and look good enough to wear on the days I’m in the office.<br /><br />I bought a
Too thin material, waistband sat way too low (c'mon women need to bend over, too) tight in the butt and thighs with a huge waist. Overall these are not that great. Why are your women's products so inferior?
The pants fit fine but all the "Crawford" style pants I've had end up ripping in the crotch after about 8 months. The lower rise also makes them uncomfortable. Definitely not nearly as good as the Hayden pants - those were the best! The fabric on these just seems more flimsy and the fit not as good for actual work as opposed to casual wear.
I have had two of these pants for 1-2 years, and have worn them to work 3-5 days a week. I do lots of outdoor work and they have gotten dirty and muddy. I've hauled debris and walked through thorns and brush. They get washed after one wear, which probably means each pair of pants have gotten washed at least 100 times. One pair has a small hole in the knee (that hasn't completely gone through yet and could have been avoidable if I wore knee pads more often), and the other has a hole at the bottom of the utility pocket from my sharp pruners slowly tearing through. Overall, they are very durable pants that should work for most women who need functioning, outdoor working pants. I wished they fit just a little better, but I see that there are more types of pants available for women made by Carhartt, so definitely try these out before committing to this model!
This is no longer the original fit, the design has changed, the extra curve at the hip looks bad. This model also fails at replacing the great but discontinued one made with heavier material. I returned it and sadly will have to look at other brands for better quality cotton work pants.
Didn't make it three months of regular wear before I got a tear. The fabric is inferior to the carhartt men's pants. They also shrink considerably in the wash. Also if you are going to make WORK pants don't tell me wash them in cold water. I work around too much toxic dusty stuff to not wash them in hot water. There is also no consideration for women who have a thin waist and alot of hips so the legs tend to be a bit tight.
I ordered a size 4 short and they fit me perfectly! Super comfortable and protect me at work! I will order them in black!!
I'm giving these four stars just because they aren't quite as comfortable as the men's lighter-weight double-front pants Carhartt stopped making a while back, which I loved. I'm very happy to be able to get any double-fronts, though. The fit is good, better than the regular-fit Crawfords I ordered at the same time and sent back because they were an inch smaller in the waist than these. Black color is a nice change.
Fit a little larger then expected but overall they work.
Great pants for all kinds of jobs on the farm! From cleaning the barn, weeding the garden, riding horses, helping husband work on equipment and playing with the kiddos! Love them, soft lightweight for summer but able to keep up with my workload too.
I love these pants. Great fit.
Waist is too small for size. I ordered a nine. Legs fit fine, but they are also too long. THAT is my error. Ordered a "tall". Also, the weight is lighter than I expected. I wanted the true Carhart work pant that has a heavier/thicker weight.
These are my go-to work pants and I work them hard. I will be wearing these pants for the rest of my career. Luckily, they are so durable that I rarely have to replace them! Can’t say enough good things.
I ordered a tall, not very long... i'm a tall girl and need the tall to be taller
They are great women’s fit work pants with style. They fit exactly as I expected.
I have been using Carhartt's since the days when you couldn't find women's workwear. But in the recent years, these pants have become girlified and poor quality. I have tears in the knees and backs of the thighs, split seams, and even the pockets have died. I have never in my life worried about the quality of interior pocket material! The spandex loses shape and then you have saggy butt and you better not forget your belt. Hardly professional. I miss having women's workwear that was as tough as the menswear. I don't want to return to the days of wearing men's clothes. I kept buying your products out of loyalty and hope that the quality would return, but now I'm looking at other brands.
Very good fit and sturdy material. Use there for motorcycle riding.
It fit nicely
I work in construction so I give these a heck of a workout. These are very comfortable pants - they move with you and the material is nice. But the material is thin so they don't last long.<br /><br />Why can't women have all the options that men have?? And why is the hammer loop on the left side?
I have been sticking with Carhartt because I think they do a good job with the women's sizing, but I am baffled as to why they don't offer these pants in the thicker canvas materials of the men's line?? All of the women's carhartts I've bought in the last 3ish years get holes and thin spots in 6 months. Please, Carhartt- just do what you are doing with women's sizing but with the thicker canvas!!! Women trailbuilders will be forever grateful.
Comfortable and durable. Definitely getting more!
I love these pants! I’m an electrician in construction and these are my favorite work pants. They are much more durable than the regular Crawford’s and they fit great. The tool pockets are perfect (the left one holds an iPhone in a slim case). The only knock on these pants are the available colors - dirt and dust looks horrible on brown and black. I would order several more pairs if they came in something lighter like the men’s classic duck color, or even gray.
Just like the classic mens and only lost stars due to the lighter fabric. <br /><br />hammer loop is clutch, these pants kick ass in the mud doing hard work every day on me.
They are comfortable Will see how durable they are, as I have had them only a few weeks.
Great for on the job.
There are not many good, practical work pants for women. I'd buy men's, but they just don't fit. I bought these because Carhartt discontinued their best style, and these are cleverly disguised as the same thing.<br /><br />Pros: pretty durable, reasonably sized tool pockets<br />Cons: original fit is too tight when using the tool pockets (all day, every day), but the next waist size up is really too large; not 100% cotton; only comes in dark colors (fine in winter, boiling in the summer); fit runs small (I wore a 6 in the discontinued style, but need an 8 in these. I have not changed size)<br /><br />If you liked the relaxed fit, 100% cotton in this style, these are the next best thing but mildly disappointing.
I have 2 pairs of these pants. They have been great. Somehow I have tear holes in the same area in these pants and in the pants without the double knee front pants. The tears are on the bottom of the pant leg in the back. I have been working hard on cleaning up 10.30yard dumpsters of trash on our ranch. I do not know what I caught my pant leg on to help. I was able to sew up the tear and wear my pants. I would definitely buy more in the future.
I loved them. They are three years old now. A little holy . I love carrhart
These pants are great, I've been buying the men's style before they made these and my only wish is that the women's pants were made as tough and as thick as the men's version. This pair is much softer and thinner than the men's double front pants but the cut and shape for me is perfect.
Fabric is not at all durable or practical. As a welder this fabric provides very little to no protection. Extremely disappointed when I learned Carhartt no longer offers 100% cotton work pants like it does in men’s, very typical of the industry to provide women with lower quality.
Extremely comfortable and durable pants. Was worried about the size when I ordered them, but when I tired them on they were the perfect fit!
They fit perfect!
This is the most comfortable fabric in Carhartt work pants. I wear a size 12 regular. The crotch can be a bit pinchy but otherwise the fit is good. Great pockets! And I put in the knee pads, size M. Wish for a hammer loop though.<br /><br />This fabric is softer than the duck, so I hope it wears well!
I like these pants, but I wish there was a female version of the heavyweight male double-front canvas pants because I wear through the female lighter-weight pants too quickly (I've actually started buying Duluth fleece-lined pants because Carhartt has discontinued the Crawford fleece-lined [at least for tall women], and to be honest, the Duluth brand is heavier and more durable, much to my surprise.) I remember when Carhartt clothing was made in America; the quality has really gone down over the years since they've decided to out-source.
The pants were a different material than expected, much softer but still durable like regular carhartts. They are easy to move around in. I’m a welder and they don’t get burnt through which is why I wanted them. The fit is much nicer than the men’s carhartts I’ve tried to wear.
Love them! So comfy, while being practical.
This is my second pair of Carharts and I love them. They fit perfectly and allow me to hike comfortably. I will definitely get another pair.
Waist way too small for a size 12. Legs too big. Sent them back.
Nice and thin but the area for the knee pads are too high and ineffective
Pants are great but they're significantly larger than last year's model (which I also own). The 2 short is noticeably longer and baggier throughout when wearing them and when placed side by side. I am disappointed because there isn't a size smaller than the 2 short (and small women do work too).
Runs small. Waist is tight and legs are super wide. They look ridiculous on me. Not great for my body type I guess. Material not as rugged as I had hoped. Sending back.
Sit weird at the top of the pant; crotch bends oddly. Fits tight on butt and thighs and not a fan of where the pants sit on my waist/hips.
I love them just wish they would come in denim colors too
I have no idea WHERE Carhartt got the measurements for their women’s pants. Not on real women. Maybe sample size models with no hips. I can’t comment on durability or quality because the fit on these pants is so ridiculous I can’t wear them. I’m normally a 14 but it took an 18 to fit the waist , but the the legs and crotch were completely baggy. And the hips didn’t fit well. It almost felt like a man’s cut. I’m not going to say don’t buy these, but if I could give them negative stars, I would.
Very soft and not tough material, also the button fell out after one day. I will be finding a new brand that better serves women’s needs.
My job is all black uniforms and I had to stop wearing these pants after two washes (just a regular machine on a regular cycle). I love this style and utility pockets on these pants and wish I was able to have coal colored pants for work. Besides the overall color fade, there's also lines on the pants from where they were crinkled in the washer machine that faded even more. <br /><br />I added photos next to my Black Smithville Pants (which I am in love with) for a color reference.
I’d like them to be more workwear fabric
These pants look nice, but compared to a pair carhartt pants I own from a few years ago— the same size did not fit and the fabric was much thinner. I returned them. And will probably not purchase carhartts unless I can try them on at the store (which also is difficult to find a store that carries women’s carhartt) pretty disappointed.
These are flattering pants that are easy to move it. The fabric is touch put not stiff. I love these pants.
Love them! It was exactly how I wanted them.
Great fit. Super comfortable. They feel really well made. They do fade significantly after the first wash. They are more of a dark grey. They still look cool though.
I was very frustrated today when I tried on these pants. I started with a 6 regular, what I normally wear in other brands, and couldn't even get them over thighs. So I went up to an 8. They went over the thighs and butt, but zipper wouldn't think about going. Next, the 10. The 10 would zip and button but would have been incredibly uncomfortable for more than a few minutes. Lastly, I just was annoyed and decided to buy the 12 and try them on at home. I REALLY was hoping the waist would be larger... TO NO AVAIL!!!! I went up THREE sizes from my usual size (6 to 8 to 10 to 12) and the waist still feels that it would be uncomfortable to wear all day, work in, bend over, etc. I know it would start pressing against my stomach uncomfortably just with how they feel after five minutes. I work in humanitarian aid and need pants that fit well and can withstand hard work. I have friends who like these so I was very disappointed. It seems so many brands do not make clothes for women with any butt or hips. I am 5'6 and somewhere around 160-170 lbs athletic build. Super duper frustrated as I was excited to get some of these pants. Probably will return them.
I'm a 4 short, 5'2" and about 118-120#. I mostly love how they fit, though they are a tad large. The overall shape, including height of waistband, seat, and inseam fit very well with room to move while working on our farm, building our barn, and milking our dairy goats. I only wish that they are made of 12 oz cotton. I've purchased several Crawford styles, plain front, double front, and flannel lined and love them all.
They are a little long as I am 5'5 and have a athletic build. However, They are comfortable and have pockets and the space I need. I should have gotten a different color to hide the dirt from work hahaha. But I'm glad I finally made this purchase.
Well made quality working pants. I purchased size 4, had to size down, to a 2.
I work in construction and landscaping and these pants fell apart within 1 week of normal work. Knees totally busted. As always, the women’s clothing at car hart is not made for function. The thickest fabric for women’s pants is half as thick as the men’s - all professional women know, if you want something that you can actually work in, you have to buy men’s clothes from car hart, which never fit right. I’m willing to sacrifice the fit to not have to buy 3 news pairs of pants for each time a male coworkers buys 1. Pink price, but they hide it in the quality. I really wish car hart would step it up, there aren’t many options for women.
Love these pants nice deep pockets fit mice and comfortable !!!! I own 6 pairs
I've been using these pants to work out in the woods (I'm a forestry technician, so lots of time spent stepping over logs and branches, and having branches scratch my legs). These pants are great! They haven't ripped and they're comfortable. The double front is great for not getting my legs super scratched up.For sizing: I'm 5'0" and 125lbs and I'm a size 4 short.
Black color. True to size. I also got another design in a dark brown. The black didnt work very well outdoors. Not sure if its the type of material used by it attracts lint and gets dirty easier than my dark brown ones. Couldnt use it for work. Will be returning. Other than that, its a good comfy fit. Length was perfect and enough room to work in it.
This is my third pair of Crawford pants. Ordered all in the same size but one in short....was high waters, another in regular which fit perfect, and the third was these double front and they were about 3 inches longer then the other regular length Crawford’s.
Soft fabrics higher rise then other brands. Great quality.
I've got two newer pairs of these jeans since there's not many options for working woman. Both pairs ripped in the crotch. The ones that ripped this morning getting into my truck I've only worn less than 10 times. They still look brand new too. So disappointed.
I’m a female Pipefitters and it’s always been difficult to find pants made for women who do what we do. These have a small amount of stretch to them, and I wear a size smaller than what I would normally wear so they fit snug. It’s the perfect fit for work pants. I wish they made them in the regular denim. My only argument! They’re amazing for the job!
I love these pants, they are comfortable, durable, and an added bonus.. actually flattering! My fiance is on his 5th year with his pants and still going strong despite the dirty rough labor they've been through..If you looking for a good quality pant to roughneck assertions in, I highly recommend the Crawford Double Fronts!
The craftmenship is outstanding.....My husband has happy when I bought Carhartt.....He always buys this brand
I ordered a regular size but they are too short and you are out of stock in tall. I’m very disappointed and will have to return them. Love the pants but they are too tight and too short
These are so comfy for work pants. I have to size up in these to get the fit I need but other than that they are decent quality for the price.
I’ve had these pants for about 8 months, they are excellent quality and hold up well after frequent use. The thick material is great for working outdoors in winter. The sizing definitely runs large. I have 27” waist and am 5”1 and usually wear a 4 short, and I bought the 2 short in this pant. The waistband is a little tight but the thigh area is loose and roomy. Overall would recommend these for work pants
They look really cute, fit well and are comfortable. That being said, I've only been wearing them to work for a couple of weeks and they are already showing very heavy signs of wear. I'm seriously doubting these will last me more than a few months, which for $50 I would hope to at least get a year out of a pair of pants. So they look nice but if you do heavy dirty work, maybe not the pants you want
Yes, would recommend. Wish this silhouette came in a 2nd option of the heavy canvas with double knee for women.Appreciate triple needle stitching in women’s!
Bought one pair and literally had to go back the next week and buy a couple more! They do run a little small so I recommend getting one size up.
I wish they were slightly more high waisted, but otherwise they are great, sturdy pants!
True to form and more breathable than I expected. Very comfortable even in warmer conditions.
These pants are my go to work pants. They are great for construction, working in the yard and as well wearing them for camping vs wearing my normal every day type of pants. Definitely recommend these pants to get dirty.
Runs too small. All of my other pants are size 12 and these feel like a size 8. The waist is also a bit too low for my liking.
Great work pants but still big on me, even though it's the smallest size. Also, my last pair of carhartt pants ripped randomly.
I work outside as a gardener. I bought a pair of these last April and by July they were shredded. That is only 2 out of my 6 month gardening season. The knees, the butt, even belt loops didn't hold up. Photos are from less than three months after wear. I'm pretty bummed with Carhartt for ladies. I figured that one pair of Carhartts could last me the whole summer season. No such luck, and I didn't even wear them everyday! Carhartt pants I've bought in the past lasted at LEAST 1.5 seasons. My secondhand jeans from another brand lasted me longer than these supposed "work" pants. Too bad, they're comfortable and look great. Wish they'd last.
Great fit. Wish they came in more colors.
I was looking for a comparable comfortable pair of work pants to the quality that Carhartts used to be (women's work pants that lasted a couple years wearing them every day for legit geologic field work, pre-2013). These are not it. I bought 2 pairs and each one lasted 3 months. Each pair blew out where thighs rub together on both sides. But they did look and fit great for those 3 months.
I have not had to the chance to work them in the woods as too much still on the ground, as for the fit ok but could use MORE flex in the fabric. Will give more work experience with the pants as spring arrives to New England, Farmer
I bought these pants last May and they were completely blown out by September. I love the pants other then the fact the quality isn’t there. The pockets, belt loops, and butt blew out so fast. I work road construction so the pants didn’t really take a beating the quality is just poor. I wish it was just a flaw because I would order them again i they would stay together .
I have just ordered my fourth pair of Crawford Double Front Pants, I love the style, all the pockets, I work outside all year long and these are pretty great except the durability and quality is not very good. So far every pair has ripped/frayed in the crotch. I can't patch them because the material is so thin. I have read other reviews and it seems a lot of folks are dealing with the same problems. Its tough finding proper work pants as a lady. I'm hoping that the quality has improved since my last purchase.
they're a little short, and run small. I typically wear a size 8 and had to order a 10
I’ve always loved the durability
I’m a small framed male, have to order womens size 4 slims and they are still large on my waist. The rise on four identical branded pairs are all different. Wish they could cater to smaller tradesmen as well. 100 years ago I would have been an average sized brick mason or carpenter.
These pants are very comfortable and have a relaxed but slim fit to them. I think that they are flattering for a work pant, but not too flattering so that you can't have full mobility or would draw unnecessary attention while working. I definitely see what the other reviewers are saying about the material not being very durable which is definitely disappointing. I definitely will be buying more pairs, although!
I'm 5'2" 122lbs the size 2short is perfect
These are by far THE most comfy women's work pants ever! I love the pockets and how they fit - I am a size 14 and these fit well.<br /><br />I own a pair in black and a pair in brown - the black ones have faded to gray and the brown ones have the double knee seam running down the center of my knee.<br /><br />I'll try buying again to see if the quality has improved.
this is a christmas gift for my wife. she has a pair in brown that she really likes, so i ordered her a pair in black for christmas. she has't tried these on yet but they are the same size so they should fit.
I absolutely loved these so much so that I didn't want to take them off when I got home from the job. Very comfortable and slimming and stretched just enough when picking things up or bending over. I wore these pants almost every work day for about 3 months. Until I started getting a hole on the inner thigh which I tried to patch but the fabric is so thin that the patch wouldn't stay put...after a morning or ripping up carpet they ripped clear up the back. <br /><br />I would like to get another pair because of the style and comfort but spending the higher price tag and them only lasting a few months is making me second guess it.....<br /><br />Please carhartt!!! Find a happy medium...we need comfort and durability too! :)
I am 5'5 @ 120ish and i bought the 4 short - they fit perfect thru the thigh and waist, and cover the goods when i bend over.
I was so excited to finally find a pair of carhartts that actually fit. I'm 5'7" 135ish with an athletic build--I have a particular problem of trying to find pants that are big enough in the thighs but don't leave a massive gap in the waistband. I bought a size 4R and they fit really well, no gaping, but I would even say they were almost a hair too tight, especially with all the bending and heavy lifting I do for work. Definitely not uncomfortable in any way, but I couldn't pinch even half a cm of excess fabric on the thighs or waistband. Luckily, they are fairly stretchy. After wearing these for about 2 months I developed a small hole in the back of the knee, but it was patched and ceased to be an issue. 5 months into wearing these (albeit I wore the same pair several days a week), after climbing up into a truck bed, the entire back thigh ripped across. I attempted to sew a patch on, but the thread just pulled through the thin fabric of the pants after a few wears--and there was not enough excess fabric to try higher since they were so tight originally. I will be ordering a size 6 and trying that out, as the other styles of carhartts have large gaps in the waist, or ridiculously high waistbands uncomfortable for sitting.
Best ladies work pants on the market. Well made and very durable.
I'm 5'7" 120 pounds with an inseam of 30". Size 4 short fits perfectly. They don't accentuate my butt too much which is great when being the only woman on a big site full of men. They stay up when bending over so don't show my underwear or butt and are not too form fitting in the legs. There's also a pocket for my knife I can reach easily even when bending. I brushed against some Sheet Metal and it broke the skin on my thigh and drew blood though didn't leave a scratch on the pants. I made two holes getting stuck on some nails but they didn't fray any bigger even after a couple weeks. Loving them!
We've all been wearing those thick canvas pants FOREVER, just praying that a thinner material would come through for us, as well as stretchy, and still durable. It's finally here. I've had 2 pairs of the men's version of these pants and they always make me look like an ogre. I'm finally lookin' goooood and I can still keep my day job :)
Great fit but awful quality. After washing it twice, holes appeared. The pants tore in the back clean across the pant leg and a few weeks later the same thing happened on the other side. I also have these in black and they didn't tear in the wash but the quality is still poor. Little holes are appearing in the pockets where I keep tools and gloves. Finding decent women's work pants has been a real struggle, I work outdoors doing heavy physical stuff every day so the pants have to fit well and also be able to take a beating. If you're buying these to work in your garden, they should be fine bit when you want something more durable don't do it. My husbands carhartts are about a million times more durable. I really wish carhartt would makes women's pants that have the same quality as men's .
Started off really excited about these- they look good, are lighter weight, and are comfy.<br /><br />However, on my first work outing with them, I got a hole in the back on the second day. After that, I got about 4 other holes (mostly in the behind) all within the first week.<br />Not durable at all. They do not seem to be made for outdoor work- anytime I brushed up against a rock or log, they seemed to rip again. <br />Another woman on my crew said she had the same problem with these pants.<br />Huge disappointment :(
I got a size 4 regular pair of these pants. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 135 lbs and these fit perfectly. I love the colour and design. I will certainly buy another pair of these in the future.
Most comfortable work pants I own! The only change I would like to see is, a slightly wider ankle. This would allow the pant to fit over a pair of steal toed boots with ease and have an overall better look! Still an extreamly comfortable work pant!
I felt like I knew the size I needed. I had already returned another pair of a different pant. I decided to get a 4 in womens, then I had a chat with Carhart and they recommended a 6. I went with the 4 and it is still to big. It is frustrating with the sizes. I like the pant other than that. So, it runs big again.
Very comfy pants and nice to work in
Excellent fit and LOVE the weight of the fabric for summer work. The double front is super for durability. Absolutely the best work pants for warm weather!
I love these pants and the flexibility I have in them. Wish the fabric was more rugged like the men's pants.
Bought these when looking for good field gear. I'm about 5'2 and 110lb so bought the size two short. They fit good length wise, but waist was way too big. Slightly dissapointing as was hoping for a better fit.
I was really impressed with the quality of the material and workmanship. My problem was the pockets sat too low and didn't have a cover flap. Since I'm in the field I need to keep my phone and other items secure from falling out. If you ever add this to your pants I'll be right in line to buy them!
While these are thin, they fit perfectly and comfortably. I work with the forest service in the mountains and these are perfect for the summer!!
These fit perfectly. The length was perfect for my 5'2" frame. Roomy enough for easy movement, but not baggy. Material is durable but still soft.
I loved these pants! They are very comfortable right out of the package and fit very true to size. They are easy to move in and I can wear them to work and for casual wear on weekends. They are well made and one of my favorite pair of pants.
The fit is weird. Tiny waist with way to much room in thighs. Seems to be made for a very specific body type. Women's bodies are not like men's bodies- we need more options for work pants.
I am incredibly happy with them, very comfortable as soon as I took them out of the package. They fit extremely well and I the fabric feels really nice on the skin.
Ive always had trouble finding durable comfortable work pants that actually fit. Not anymore. I am a smaller person, 5'3" would be generous and generally fit into a size 4. The 4 SHORT fit like they were made for me. Perfect length, waist and hips/seat area. I like the double front, gives me extra material so they wont wear out in front as fast. And soooo soft. Not itchy or stiff at all. Have to admit, the rivet detail looks out of place. But not enough to stop me from buying them again. Most comfortable pair of work pants I own.
They are both comfortable and functional. I was able to work outside for hours without even thinking about my pants.
Great pants.. it's a shame I can't buy them anywhere near me... and it's and even bigger shame that the cost shipping is so high, considering the pants aren't available any other way!!
I really like them except that they are way too big so I need to exchange them. I wish there were more places in Bend Oregon where I could get ladies pants.
They don't dig in when bending over because of of riding just below the waist. Great pockets for all my accessories. Will definitely buy more in the future.
I've been trying to find Carhartt pants that will fit a petite person, since I use them almost every day and need them to be sized correctly. I was happy to find that my Size 2 Short pants actually fit since I've had a lot of trial and error in the past. I'm 5 feet tall, so they're still a bit long, but overall a great fit.<br /><br />My only complaint is that even though they're double-fronted, the material is really thin and unlike other Carhartt work pants I've worn and seen others use. I'm concerned that they will rip long before they should.
I tried on the pants before I washed them to judge how much they would shrink. They were snug to begin with compared to the other Carhartt pants I own. After I washed them they still fit but are definately tighter than before washing. I expected some shrinkage after reading other reviews and the fact that they are 98% cotton. If I buy these pants again I would buy one size up to allow for the shrinkage OR I would only air dry them. Also, I ordered the black and after the first washing (inside out as per the instructions) the color did fade oddly...see attached picture. But the overall fit was good and they are comfortable.
I was very dissapointed when I received these pants, because the seam on the second layer was in the middle of my kneecap when I knelt down. Seriously...come on. When I work I don't want to dread kneeling down and bruising my knees because Carhart designers are obviously not paying attention. A sad lack of attention and detail which resulted in me buying something similar from Arborwear, and they're great.
I like these pants a lot. I got both the black and the brown. They are perfect for my lifestyle. The waist on these is snug, so I may need to go up one size. My only complaint is the black faded from the first wash. Now they are more of a charcoal grey, which I like, but they are certainly not black any longer. Would be nice to have a color-fast black, the current black/charcoal, and the brown...a green pair would be awesome too. My hubby wants this pants with this material.
Love the fit and comfort of these pants. The only issue I had was the color faded, marbled after my first washing. I did not turn them inside out as the tag instructs but I'm not sure if that would've mattered. That being said I've ordered a second pair because I love how they fit.
Finally - sturdy pants that are slim and flattering.<br />No need for all those flabby stretchy waist gimmicks on other work pants. Thanks!
The sizes are smaller than normal. I have five pairs of these jeans in a size ten. These I ordered in a 12 to give me more room and they are tighter than my tens.
The material is a nice thickness - not too thick like the traditional canvas carhartt fabric. Fit really well.
Sizes run a little small, they sit a little higher than expected but the legs are very roomy if you have larger muscles like me
Before purchasing I thought these pants were made from a thicker material ( I used to get them that looked exactly the same but were made from a different material). I don't know how durable these will be doing the work I do but they are extremely comfortable! Much more comfortable that they used to be.
