Great Jacket bought while on vacation 3 years ago in the Smokey Mountains and still in brand new shape… very comfortable and very dependable… Next Carhart I purchase will be the exact same one!!! Only thing I could recommend would be make the sleeves out of a material that doesn’t grab my long sleeve shirts!! And the Velcro on the sleeves is on the bottom kind of gets in the way!

I gave 5 stars due to the overall quality of the jacket. I haven't worn it yet because we haven't had cold enough weather. I wish the linings of the sleeves were of a different material so that putting on or taking off the jacket when wearing a long sleeve shirt would be easier. Something quilted maybe? The pocket liners don't seem to be too substantial. I hope they last.

Well made jacket

We purchased this online for our son-in-law and shipped directly to him. He really likes it and says the quality is good. It fits well and keeps him warm during chilly weather. The jacket we purchased has a grey liner. I guess Carhartt changed the liner to black. All the photos I see now have the black liner. I think the black liner looks better. Nothing we can do about it now.

My husband loves this. Perfect weight for Spring (40 degrees). Although we have brick and mortar stores who carry Carhart brand, they have limited stock of Big/Tall sizes, more Big than Tall. Great jacket, warm and water resistant in 30 degree windy weather

Carhartt has proven itself time and time again

So far it has been a great jacket. I bought it knowing it wasn’t a heavy weight jacket, but it has done an excellent job keeping me warm this spring with temps in the 30’s and 40’s and winds many days gusting in the 30-40 mph range. So far it has met and exceeded my expectations. As for fit

It appears to be a great jacket, sized as expected... mostly. The large fit the same as my other large Carhartt jacket however the sleeves were about an inch and a half longer. Those longer sleeves were annoying and even with the Velcro around the wrists I decided it wasn’t the jacket for me so I returned it.<br /><br />I really liked the sleeve length/design of the cuffs on the now discontinued Super Dux Relaxed Fit Detroit Jac. Had this jacket had that design, I would give this jacket the full 5 stars.

I really like the jacket other then where the cuff tightener is for the cuff and wish it be on top of my wrist instead of underneath it. Underneath it makes it very uncomfortable to set your arm down on it. really like the coat other then that but do find my self grabbing my old version or similar style of that coat since its on top.

It is a classy jacket one you don't see everywhere. The phone pocket is the same as the rest of the jacket which makes it inconspicuous.

I bought several of these jackets for my employees. The guys really like them. Not too heavy, good wind protection, and water resistant to boot! Really nice jackets.

Jacket looks great!<br />Perfect warmth for layering. Very water resistant. My only drawback ( and it’s petty) is the fabric is noisy! If someone is talking to you from any type of distance, you have to stop all movement in order to hear what they’re saying

In past I purchased a north face jacket like this one. When I found out carhart made one I wanted to check it out. I like that it came in an extra large tall. The quality is better and a little more durable. North face quality has gone down on there jacket so in short very happy with your product.

I Froze my butt off in this jacket even in light winds I could feel the wind blowing right thru the jacket... I loved the looks of this jacket but it didn't preform at all you don't call a jacket HEAVYWEIGHT when its paper thin and as for the wind protection I think a T-shirt protects just as good against the wind.... Please let me return this jacket for a refund!!!

Fantastic jacket. It is the right weight for Central Texas "winter" weather. Looks good - really sharp looking and provides plenty of flexibility in movement. The pockets are perfectly created for practical use. My only criticism is the velcro on the cuff. I would have preferred snaps with a cuff that folds back if needed. Oh, one other thing. This should be made in America and not imported. Apart from those two things, I could not be happier.

Be careful this jacket is NOT windproof at all. Looks and fits great though.

Awesome jacket, warm yet light

Really like my new Crowley Jacket. Very nice, well made lightweight coat for the Spring. Cleans up nice too even after working on the dock. Only complaint I have about it is that the sleeves feel a little narrow. Not enough to hinder movement or anything. I even still have room to have a hoodie or sweatshirt on underneath it if needed. Also really like the fact that it helps block the wind. Light rain sheds right off it. I would definitely recommend this coat to anyone looking for a lightweight jacket.

Bought this jacket for my husband, it looks great and he likes it. Only one comment, the sleeves are a bit longer than expected. He’s tall, 6’ 1”,<br />and usually needs tall rather than regular. The velcro helps make that adjustment though!

I bought this jacket knowing it has only one flaw. <br />The pocket bag material is a thin mesh easily punctured by keys<br />and small tools. Like a sports jersey material. <br />Everything else met or exceeded expectations.<br />Highly recommend STYLE# 102199 as your “nice” jacket not worn in the shop.

Its pretty good. Definitely recommend it for work but i does imo run a bit large.

Jacket is very nice, very well made and is nice looking but had to return because it tight in the shoulders.

I really love this jacket but it doesn’t fit like other Carhartt jackets I’ve owned. It runs a little small in the shoulders and arms. I can’t wear it with long sleeves but it works great for any t-shirt. I have broad shoulders and my forearms are muscular so it is tighter than I like. I normally wear a XLT coat but 2XLT is what fits in this model. The fabric is great and the overall look is what I like.

Sleeves are narrow

I own and have owned many Carhartt coats, but I wanted something a bit more dressy I guess, but still able to handle some abuse, and this jacket is perfect! My only complaint is that when I ordered it, I am so use to Carhartt clothing and coats running a bit big, so when I tried my XL Crowley on for the 1st time and it was a little snug (thanks covid ) I was shocked. It just gives me extra motivation to lose the bit of weight I've gained in the past year. Absolutely love it otherwise tho. A Carhartt that I can actually wear out to dinner, and still tough as nails. I just wish you guys had stuck to your usual sizing. I wear LG sweatshirts that fit fine, my XL sweatshirts and coats are a bit baggy on me (like I like them), but this doesn't seem to follow your usual sizing.

Nice jacket arm run a bit narrow

This is a great jacket. If you are considering one, you should have bought it yesterday. It’s a lot warmer than I thought it would be. I thought it would just be a light jacket. Overall I’m happy enough I am considering a second one. The one and only flaw is the inside pockets don’t closing device. But I never use them so it doesn’t bother me at all.

I run a BBQ business in Southern California. Since we don't get the extreme winters I bought this jackets for cold and damp mornings. The week it arrived we had a cold rainstorm hit and it was great wearing this jacket to get the fires going in the morning and then again later that day as the sun was setting and getting cold to stay warm and dry in it.

I have a 30-year plus relationship with Carhartt products. I have never bought a Carhartt product that did not exceed my expectations. I was introduced to Carhartt by friend and relatives that worked for Carhartt and subsequently started buying products direct from the small facility in Sebree, KY. My wife purchased this jacket for me last Christmas, and I was extremely pleased for the first few months. If I had given the jacket a rating earlier, I would have given it 5 stars. But after losing a key one afternoon, I was surprised to find that the internal material, which the pocket linings are fashioned from, had developed several small holes and two larger holes. Upon further investigation, I realized the material was not holding up well and had numerous snags and imperfections. I no longer work in the mining industry, and spend most of my days at a desk. I think that someone in quality control needs to take a closer look at this material and find a more robust alternative. Your products are too good to have something as minor as this, make a long-time customer think twice about his next purchase. I love the jacket, but if I can't put anything in the pockets, it's just not that useful.

Everything is great with the jacket except the inside pockets...that needs to go back to engineering, it is truly a poor design and not what I expected.

Winter in the pacific northwest can be a challenging environment to dress properly. Cold, damp can quickly change to even cooler temperatures with wind and snow.<br />This coat allows me to layer and remain very comfortable no matter the weather. Was looking for a new jacket and really didn't want another "duck". I've had it for about a year now and it's held up pretty good. A really nice jacket, roomy ( I ordered mine a little large) and could be layered. A real nice jacket Carhartt.

Wish the pockets inside were also zip up to secure things better. But overall great jacket. Love this style and material. Replaced a similar jacket I had for 10 years. This will last just as long if not longer.

I had looked for quite a while before finally deciding on this jacket. I really like that it is a carhartt and should hold up for years. It is comfortable. It has a soft lining on the inside and the outside has a little bit more of a tougher outer layer. It really holds up in the wind. I haven't had it long enough to test the other elements but I really enjoy this jacket.

Jacket arrived one day after the free ground shipping estimate. The package was in good condition and there was no defects in the jacket.<br />Overall, a good online experience.<br />Rated the durability a five even though I've had it less than a month.

WOW. Better than expected! Ordered online after trying a 3XL in-store and found it too small. 4XL fit like it was made to measure, even over my gut, which is always the problem (I'm 6'2", 350 lbs, wear a 52 waist in Levi's over my gut, not under it). This sizing runs differently from previous Carhartt jackets I own, it's truer to the rest of the industry. The triple-stitched arm and shoulder seams were an impressive surprise, this jacket is built to last! Haven't tried it in colder temps yet, but I tend to overheat so I have high hopes that the Crowley will work for most of the winter. Sleeve closures aren't real functional due to the stiffness of the jacket's shell material, a gusset of softer material at the cuffs would help, as would a zippered internal pocket. Fantastic jacket overall, a really exceptional value. Could easily be positioned at a higher price point but I'm glad they didn't! I'm really happy with my purchase. Buy with confidence!

It didn’t fit in the shoulders. The lining was like soft but pulled your shirt sleeves up when you put it on. The outer shell wasn’t what I was looking for

I live in Upstate New York where it can snow, rain and be sunny all in one day or less. I needed a jacket that while not waterproof would deflect light rain and snow for awhile. This jacket does all that while not looking like a raincoat and keeps the wind and cold out as well. The fabric is better looking and not as likely to pill as fleece. The fit is a little trimmer than many Carhart garments, which is good. this type of jacket looks better that way. I'm an X-large but sometimes Carhart XL stuff is very loose on me. This jacket will be great in a lot of situations where other jackets I own, many wool, just won't work so I do expect to use it A LOT!!

I was seeking Carhartt reputation for durability and warmth in a spring/fall jacket to deal with Minnesota weather. This jacket will keep me dry and warm into the low 40’s Fahrenheit. Below that point I was starting to feel the cold wind, but it is a jacket not a coat. The jacket is a bit stiff and makes a lot of noise, which I hope will go away in time.

Had this jacket since fall 2016, and is always my go to for chilly days. I bought it as a casual jacket for any day wear, not work. And fits just right, not much extra room for extra layers. Alone I feel comfortable in the high 40s low 50’s. Can squeeze a hoodie in for a little more warmth.

I wear size large regular in Carhartt. But unfortunately this jacket did not fit. It was too tight in the upper arms and shoulders. The jacket seems well built and has nice features. However the cut/style of the jacket is not like other Carhartt jacket. This jacket does not allow freedom of movement. I returned this jacket for a refund.

i like how it fits just right material feels strong but a lil hard its still a good jacket for the not to hot days and the not to cold freezing days

bought this as a spring / fall jacket, but it seems warm enough to wear through most of the winter weather. Much better quality than other jackets in this price range, and also is attractive enough to wear as a "go to" jacket.

I've had one for a couple years now it's great for riding the motorcycle lots of room for carrying things. The dog chewed the zipper off is only reason I had to buy a new one. in the winter time you can wear a sweater underneath the jacket and you don't get cold I can ride in about 35 degree weather and be fine

The jacket is somewhat stiff when you try to bend our elbows, perhaps it needs to be worn and broken-in. I like the pockets, inside and out. Good purchase.

Made with a tight and durable material, good length in sleeves and pockets, is a good looking coat but not tailored to an athletes build. It is right in the shoulders and loose in the gut. <br />Overall I am happy with this coat.

Not a very forgiving jacket..... if you have broad shoulders or arms this jacket might not fit quiet right. I went and the size was good but I think the material of this jacket is too stiff making it not so comfortable to wear.

Excellent! Very comfortable and functional with great durability. Only small knock is the way the sleeve cuffs bunch up when I use the velcro to seal. Nice jacket.

It is perfect. I had the Carhartt label removed (sorry) and replaced it with our embroidered K of C logo. Only complication was the way the chest pocket spanned the inside. I had to cut it and resew it back after the embroidery was complete. <br />It looks great and I enjoy wearing it. Very comfortable in all wear conditions. Receive many compliments.

Very nice looking Jacket. Comfortable to wear and warm, exactly what I was hoping for. Size is slim fitting and not baggy.<br />Unfortunately, the left pocket zipper doesn’t work correctly as it gets hung up and very hard to zip / unzip. (Have to use both hands to work the zipper).

Very cold due to NOT being wind proof . Disappointing for Carhartt to make something that would not be wind proof.

This jacket does run small, but if you're tall and skinny like me it'll be the best fitting jacket that you'll ever own. I've still got plenty of room in the arms and I wear it with a fleece vest underneath with no problem. I've gotten used to its snug fit and now other jackets feel too loose. For me, the collar is a bit too long to wear up (I've got a ponytail) but it lays down flat and looks great folded down. This jacket does great in the rain and is fantastic at keeping out the cold.

I will say it runs “small” but I’m the guy that buys jackets one size bigger than my shirts anyway so this wasn’t a problem. I will say it looks great, it’s fairly warm but I won’t use it below 40 with out something else under it. It a decent wind breaker, good in the rain besides the lack of a hood. *i hate hoods on jackets* The only thing about this jacket *in black* is you won’t get the pvc glue stains out of it and you’ll look like you made a “mess” in a porta potty from an extended potty break. The material is “loud” but very durable. So far it hasn’t softened up on my in the past 4 months so get use to the stiffness. It may be stiff but it has that stretch that doesn’t prevent you from working. It feels very durable and so far it still looks new besides some pvc glue stains. It looks like a urban jacket and plays like a real work jacket

Gave this jacket a 3 star review due to a size problem with size medium. I am 5'9" , 175 lbs and purchased a size medium in navy blue. The jacket was extremely tight in my shoulders and upper arms. This was not the relaxed fit I have experienced with other size med Carhartt jackets. I returned the size med and ordered a size Large. The large was too big for me, but more what I expect from Carhartt sizing. I returned this jacket also. Not sure if this was a one time issue, or if there is a quality problem with size med. As another reviewer recommended, if you can, try on this jacket before buying a size med. Other than the size issue, the jacket appears very durable.

Jacket looks great but not cut correctly. The shoulders to small. The arms are to small, unable to wear a long sleeve shirt with the jacket.<br />It feels like I am wearing a wet suit top... and I am not a real big person.<br />Carhartt fix the sizing asap, I would return it but I am working in a location (Out of Country)that does not have regular mail service.

I purchased the navy colored crowley softshell jacket and it feels great. It is heavy enough to brave freezing cold, but light enough to not restrict your movement.

I like the looks and the style of the jacket. The jacket seems to run a little small which surprises me since the t-shirts and sweatshirts all seem to run big.

So I am sure I'm not the only guy to have 5-6 different black jackets in my closet. Each one may look the same but I know which one to wear based on the weather.<br />This Crowley Jacket is one of the heavier jackets I know own, it is really good for 40 degree, Friday night outdoor sporting events. I am a shop teacher and I also like that I can work in it in the classroom, yet still appear stylish and professional in the classroom.<br />I have washed it twice now and have noticed some fringes on the inside of the jacket. It does not appear to effect it, just something I've noticed. <br />Good quality jacket for the price paid for it.<br />I would buy it again.

I recently purchased this jacket about a month ago. Honestly it fits pretty well but a little tight in the armpit area because it rides kind of high, and it feels pretty rough all around. I feel like there is a certain break in period so that it feels like an actual every day use jacket. My only concern with this jacket is that it is very rough in the wrist part of the sleeve, it is very scratchy and actually rubs off some skin and is irritating.

This jacket has performed well in rain and wind, time will tell on durability.

The Crowley Jacket has an excellent style and look. All my other Jackets are size XL. I find the Crowley to be cut a little snug in the shoulders and arms. The Crowley also is a little noisy when I move. But overall a good jacket.

Great jacket, the arms are just too tight. It makes the fit difficult.

Excellent quality. Ideal for 30-40degree weather. If you are muscular size up one unless you like snug fit. Also go up one size if you want to thin layer under.

I very much appreciate the jacket. The outside shell feels very durable and sheds water like a freshly waxed car. The overall length hangs right and the sleeve length is perfect. The shell and liner together provide a good thickness of insulation. I classify this jacket to be good for temperatures ranging 35-55. It does well at repelling wind. The zippers are good quality, align and function without issue. Storage capacity is great. The lapel pocket adequately accommodates a thin fleece beanie without showing any bulge. The inside pockets accommodate any documents that you want to keep out of the rain. The shoulder width however, is a bit snug. Carhartt jackets usually provide a little more room for movement and their large fits me just right. This jacket needs about 1/4" more in each shoulder, moving the shoulder seams off the top just a bit to make it perfect.

Unfortunately, the XL fits large/loose in my 46” chest 38” waste but fits _wicked_ tight in my shoulders/upper arms ... seems like the shoulders/arms pattern was made to match the small-medium jacket. I wanted to love it but can’t put my arms up to hold the steering wheel ... ? Wicked, wicked bummer. Wondering if there’s enough slop/variance in quality control that the right fit is possible with another jacket.

The jacket came quickly. Packaged great. My nephew loved it. He's 35 and is studying for his PHD. He said the jacket fit great. Not too tight and the arms were long enough even when outstretched. He mimicked riding his bike to show me how it was not constricting and the arm length. He also said he would be able to layer it under his heavier carhartt jacket in extreme Wisconsin temperatures. Overall, he was thrilled to receive it. Was just what he needed. He's a skinny medium and about 6'1 or 2".

I’ve spent many hours outside in cold, wet weather, and this is the best jacket I’ve ever had for cold and wet weather. My girlfriend got me this jacket and this past weekend, I spent four hours on the lake in 40 degree weather with fog and drizzle, going 30 mph across the lake, pulling in jug lines and getting water splashed on me. Every part of me that was under the jacket stayed warm and dry. I’d like for the sleeves to be a little roomier for more layers in colder weather, but it’s still a really good jacket. I really wish Carhartt made pants out of this same material.

Great jacket! It’s not too heavy but is very warm. I give functionality 4 stars because I did notice it hinders movement a little bit, I feel restricted every time I reach to put my seatbelt on. I’m a plumbing service technician so I am constantly in and out of my truck and always on the move. But it looks great and is very durable and wow does the rain just bead up on it. Just brush the rain right off with your hand and that’s it! It does run on the smaller side. It’s not incredibly tight but I recently purchased a new hoodie from carhartt in XL and it is extremely loose however the Crowley jacket I purchased is also XL and is much more snug than the hoodie, so I honestly don’t know if the jacket is smaller or the hoodie is larger. You really have to feel it out for yourself.

Took it to Colorado and did great ! Skiing all day with just a long sleeve underneath, kept me warm without any issues.

Ordered this jacket with confidence of fit and customer service. Fail on both accounts. I ordered a standard XL based on reviews for size and fit. Either my jacket was mislabeled or the reviews are all BS. Small in shoulders and arms. I'm average always an XL. The return label advises you will pay for shipping both ways and want the return insured. Never again..

Exactly what I was expecting- really nice jacket. It blocks all wind and sheds rain and snow. I bought the gray color and like it a lot. It's a really tough jacket. It seems to run just a bit on the small side, but fits really well. Freedom of movement so you can move and not feel restricted. I've worn it below 20 degrees the last few mornings and have been comfortable.

The crowley looks great, is warm for its weight, is very stretchy and practically rip proof. I buy this jacket for a lot of my field service technicians.

Would like the interior pockets to be more secure. i.e. zipper/Velcro

Best carhartt yet

Sizing seems so inconsistent. I ordered a medium because I have other medium Carhartt jackets that fit great. I completed the size finder on the page to be doubly sure I was ordering the correct size. I’m 5’ 8” and weigh around 200 pounds. I tried on the jacket when it arrived and the sleeve length was good but it was a very slim fit in the body and shoulders. In the end I am going to have to pay to send it back. The large I ordered through another retailer, showed up the day after I ordered it and it fit great.

Purchased the hooded version a few years ago. No issues at all. Hands down the toughest soft shell you can buy! It’s for work, not the most comfortable soft shell because it’s thicker then your mountaineering brands, but can pull double duty off the clock. Blocks wind great and looks new wash after wash. Recently treated it with a waterproofing sealant and it’s ready for another snowy winter in Montana!

Very durable jacket that repels water. I have worn it down into the 40s with just a t shirt under it and it kept me warm. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Like most carhartt items, I usually buy a smaller size because it runs big on me.

Great quality... runs very short, hits at waist, if you're lifting anything or putting your arms over your head it will become a belly shower for sure, wouldn't recommend for tall people.

Great jacket for everyday use. Light weight and comfortable, but warm and durable. Seems to be really breathable for those seasonal transition days so you don’t get too hot. Sheds the rain nicely. Has a nice clean appearance that looks good with professional attire, but still has a rugged Carhartt character that can be worn with boots and jeans. I also like the slightly dropped tail so that if you bend over or reach it doesn’t hike up on you. My one minor criticism is the sleeve lining catches on certain long sleeve shirts.

Thick soft shell jacket. Good water and wind resistant. Awesome jacket for early spring and late fall. Sleeves on size large are extremely tight in biceps area. I normally wear a large or large tall in Carhartt jackets, but had to go XL in this one for that reason alone.

Got this jacket for my son. He likes that it keeps him warm but it’s not bulky.

Sizes with different jackets aren’t the same. One jacket a medium was fine but a different type of jacket a medium was too small.

The Jacket fit way too large. The large tall was for someone who weighs 400 pounds. I am 6’7” and thin build. I am really disappointed in the fit of Carharts jackets. I returned the coat and will be finding another brand to buy. I hope that Carhart reads this feedback and takes design into their next round of production coats. An unsatisfied customer.

Very comfortable, I like the way it fits much better then PVC suites I own. I like that it is easy to work in and not sweat to death, and it moves with you well and doesn't seem to be stiff or fighting you. Seems to be durable so far. Does a good job in light to moderate rain, will be purchasing a storm proof jacket as well for work days that you know it's going to be more steady rain.

Great fit and great color that is different from dark gray and black jackets. I like the heavy duty zipper on the front. It feels a bit boxy at first but after several wears it softens up.

This jacket looks great. It's description labels it "Heavyweight" but I would say it's a midweight at best. Very good at blocking the wind. A little awkward fitting in the upper arms. Working with arms above my head is a little restricting. Also if you've never seen this jacket in person it looks softer online than it is. It has a rough exterior. The kind that makes noise when you move in it. I had a hard time rating this. I like the way it looks and I've been wearing every day since I got it. But if I lost it I don't think I'd buy it again.

52 degrees feels like 48 wind 13 mph and for the price of this jacket should be able to keep me warm but someone I still get cold and doesn’t block the wind if I want to be warm have to wear a sweater under it

This is an awesome mid weight jacket. The Large-Tall size fit perfect for me being 6’0 and about 195.

I am a pilot and needed a jacket that is not too bulky so I don't clog up the cockpit but is still warm and wind resistant so I don't succumb to cold and wind chill from high winds from other planes in the area. This jacket is perfect. It has plenty of interior pockets to store anything and everything I need. I can't feel the wind through the jacket in the slightest. The jacket with a T-shirt will work into the 30s, but below that, I layer with a down vest and it's good into the low 20s. If it ever does get into the teens I'm sure an insulated top under it would keep me warm.<br /><br />The only complaint I have is right out of the store it is very stiff (but still very comfortable. I forget about the stiffness as soon as I actually get it on. Still very maneuverable), but that's true to the Carhartt fashion, and tells me I will be wearing this jacket as long as I can fit in it. It will break in the more I wear it and only get more comfortable with time.

Personally I love the big pockets there to die for. The material is very water resistant but it’s Loud as hell walking around with it. Its very warm for the average winter day

Outstanding. Going on 60 days in this jacket as my outer shell. Great fit, awesome in the rain on job site. Fits great, can handle the hard work, no tears, easy to move around in. SOLID jacket.

I just received my new Crowley jacket last week and began wearing it here in Colorado. I absolutely love it. It looks nice and feels warm. The only thing I would say is that when the temperatures drop into the 20s and below, I would start layering with a sweater or hoodie underneath.

I havent owned a carhartt jacket for some time due to the first I owned lasted a long time and was the duck style and took forever to break in. I had avoided buying one due to the stiffness and not knowing cathartt had so many options. I tried this on and loved the flexibility of the fabric and the warmth of the fleece lining. I usually wear a 2xl but was surprised to feel how tight a 2xl was. Tried on a 3xl and was a much better fit. It even leaves enough room to wear a hooded shirt shirt underneath in extreme cold days. The styling of the jacket gives off a more professional appearance for production and office meetings but on the job is tough and rugged!

Nice jacket except for...should be good for spring or fall, temps above 40. Feels like there is no thermal value to the lining. the cold goes right thru it. Pocket material is so thin feels like your hand will go right thru it.

I've owned this jacket for 3 years now, and is my go to work outer layer during cold season in the midwest. I do auto mechanics, finish flat work, plumbing, operate heavy machinery and work on it, and a lot more labor intensive work. So, I've put the jacket through the trials and it has held up very well so far. I like the inside pockets, the single chest pocket is my favorite by far as well. Great wind stopper, its also easy to move and work in. Im very suprised i have yet to put a hole in the outside material in any way shape or form. <br /><br />But, the reason it gets a 3/5 is 2 main reasons. The zipper will not zip the jacket up now since the male side has been stretched and the main zipper likes to separate as soon as i attempt to zip the jacket up. And the mesh pockets all have small holes in them at the seams from stress. I also find myself having to have a thermal undershirt, "long john" style long sleeve shirt and my rain defender hoodie on under the jacket to stay warm when its less than 40 degrees outside.

Great jacket but not actually as shown. Collar is grey not black. I own the older version of this jacket and the collar is the same black as the rest of the jacket, which in my opinion looks better. I needed a new one so I ordered the same one thinking it would be the same, but it has a grey collar now. I called and they said they had changed it so I returned it, which was very easy to do.

Ordering was very easy. Product arrived quickly, before the date it said it would. Product is exactly what it was suppose to be.

This jacket is sharp!! Had it embroidered with our company logo. It looks very professional yet rugged for the type of work my husband does. Love a man in anything Carthartt!!

I can’t bring myself to wear this to work. I’m a tig welder so there isn’t too much in way of getting it dirty but still. It’s way too nice to wear on the job. Otherwise keeps me really warm when I am out and can be worn over a pullover sweatshirt or hooded sweatshirt. Awesome jacket.

I love this jacket, super comfy, lightweight, and water/windproof. Its perfect for fall/early spring here in the burgh, my only complaint is that whats the point of a rain/windproof jacket when you don't have a hood? This would be the perfect jacket if only it had a stowable hood.

Recently purchased this jacket. Love the outer fabric and looking forward to testing it out with regard to how water repellent it is. The jacket is very comfortable. Not overly impressed with the hand pockets. The fabric used for the actual pocket on the inside seems like it could rip rather easily. Time will tell as to the durability of the pockets. I like that the jacket has adjustable cuffs. However, after adjusting the Velcro for a tighter fit, the fabric "bunches up" on the underside of the cuff against the wrist and at that point, it isn't very comfortable. After a minute or so, I repositioned the Velcro to it's original position, eliminating the "bunching up" of the fabric, and thus making it more comfortable, but back to having a loose cuff again. Thus far overall, I like the jacket.

I've only had this jacket a week. I like the fit and how it looks. Also like the extra inside pockets. This jacket is not windproof...if it's in the 20's and windy; add a extra layer.

I'm a cheap S.O.B. and hate buying clothes in general because let's face it, shopping sucks and everything costs too doggone much. But I love this jacket! Best investment I've made in clothing in years. Blow the dust out of your wallet, plunk down the cash and you'll be happy you did, I promise! This bad boy looks great, cleans up easily and feels terrific. The classic styling, flexible fit and quality materials and workmanship are worth every last penny you'll spend on it.

Perfect for me for the spring

I've got three other Carhartts and the Crowley quickly became my favorite. I'm 5'10 medium build and the jacket fits perfectly. I live in north Florida and it's just the right weight for a chilly winter day with another layer. Haven't had a chance to see how it does in the rain, but I've gotten lots of compliments on how it looks.

Looks great, thicker material than what I had thought from website but that it a positive towards greater warmth. Runs maybe just a tad small for sizing, but not complaints. Great jacket.

Typically for this material, you'd expect a stiff jacket with limited mobility. This isn't the case with this jacket. This jacket moved with you, not against you. It's warm, comfortable, flexible and looks great both for work and casual events!

This jacket is lightweight. If you're wearing only a t-shirt, this jacket will not keep you warm below 50 degrees. This jacket is very good about water resistance. People say it isn't waterproof, but I have been bone dry in the rain. Wind resistant, but not windproof. This jacket is stiff and very loud. It does look very professional if you can keep it clean.

I am pleased with my Crowley Jacket. It's form fitting and allows me to move without restriction. The jacket material is thick, tough, and durable. The material becomes more malleable every time I wear it. Large talk is necessary for me so the coat or jacket doesn't ride up my back when I squat or twist.

The lining inside the sleeves makes the jacket hard to slip on and move in. It's great looking and probably durable but. . . Fail, Sorry

I'm a big guy with long arms and broad shoulders, the jacket fits and moves great. I'm a carpenter so I'm doing all sorts of things and I don't feel like it's limiting my movement. tough enough to wear at work and stylish enough to meet potential clients.

While vacationing in Buffalo I spotted this jacket on a friend of mine. I was drawn to the cut of the jacket and the style. I liked it so much I picked up one of my own at the Carhartt Buffalo store and cannot say enough good things about it. The fit is perfect. Not too baggy, but enough room to feel comfortable. The material is fantastic with a nice soft inner finish and a rugged, water repellent exterior. I find the jacket to be perfect for temps in the 20's and 30's. It's a warm jacket despite being lightweight, so I would probably not wear it above 40 degrees. I tend to get hot easily, so take that for what it's worth. As far at the size is concerned, I am 5'8" and 170 pounds. I have a medium, which is my typical size, so I rated the jacket true-to-size. I tried on a small in the store, thinking I might be able to go down a size, but found it to be too snug. Medium is the best fit for me. I have enough room to layer a heavy shirt underneath if need be. At the price-point I don't think you can go wrong with this jacket.

Good jacket, but needs some tweeks to be great. Sleeves are snug and micro fleece in sleeves makes sweaters catch when putting on.

I purchased this jacket for long periods of outdoor exposure. It is a very warm and comfortable jacket. If it is cold and windy this jacket needs to be layered with other clothing to stop the wind penetrating. It repels water very well and is breathable.

I've had this jacket in tan for a couple years now. Found it at a Carhartt store. Never in my life have I had so many people complement or ask me about a piece of clothing. For about the 16th time someone asked about it so I decided to see if it was still available and in other colors and it is! Ordered one black, one blue

Great quality and fit (XLT). As mentioned by previous reviewers, my only gripes are the horizontally-oriented outer breast pocket, which os awkward for mobile phone stowing, and I wish the sleeve lining was a little less "grippy," which would make it easier to put on and take off. Overall minor issues with what is otherwise a stylish, comfortable, durable, and reasonably-priced jacket.

Has not been cold enough to truly test. But it looks great and very comfortable.

It's nice working out in the rain and wind and staying dry and warm.

I have to say that I love it

I have been a long timer user of Carhartt products and have worn items from the FR line through the Artic Wear for work. Last winter I took a 4 month assignment in Minnesota beginning in late Feburary. After the cooler weather subsided I need a lighter jacket to combat the cool mornings and wind. I'd had a company nylon soft shell jacket that did not breath. It defeated the purpose of wear a jacket, resulting in get wet due to sweating.<br /><br />I came across the Carhartt Crowley in a local sporting goods store. It was a quality made jacket with decent zippers, not the brass zippers in the duck jackets, but substantial none the less. Three external zipped pockets in the front. Velcro closures on the sleeves at the wrist so they could be cinched down tight. On the inside there are several large pockets that have Velcro closures, large enough to be utilized for a conceal carry pocket. The jacket breathes. It looks nice and I've received inquires as to where I'd purchased. My only critique would be to add pit zips to provide an avenue for a little more ventalation. The shell does bead up well when in inclement weather, but it is not a raincoat. Overall, a 5 star rating in my book and would recommend.
