Favorite purchase of all the fr gear I have bought. Love this jacket, warm but not overly hot. Wear it in 30 degree weather and it's the perfect amount of warmth. Bit stiff, but I think it will relax after a couple washings.

It’s a great coat just didn’t fit
This is an excellent winter coat. durable and easily wear all winter. it fits tightly to the body and only restricts movement a little but no more than any other winter coats. had it over a year and it has held up to all the manual work I do day to day. Above 50F its to warm if doing manual labor, but holds up nicely down to about freezing without any thing else with it. Below 32F I can easily put my bib insulated coveralls on under it and still do all the work that i do. The hood sits well on the head with a beenie but cant cover a hard hat. the only thing that annoys me about the the coat is that the hood bunches when you sit in a truck and the head rest will push your head forward.
I bought this as I have wrecked every other 2-300$ coat I have bought in mere months. Melting most. Shredding others. The actual feel of this jacket feels sturdy. Like it will last for a good couple /few years. So far worthy investment. I do plumbing/gas fitting and for cutting big black iron pipe with gas axe for hydronic heating systems is where I have melted most the clothes I have bought this beuaty of a coat is standing up through all I do ,super warm, I like the weight behind it feels bout 5#. Even the zipper quality leads to a strong impression.
Good coat.But Runs very short. I’m 6’4” 220lbs and have always have had good luck with the XL long. And this coat is much shorter then my non FR carhartt jackets of the same cut.

I purchased my adult son a size Large, way to big then ordered a medium still over sized. The small fit perfectly, he is able to work and move comfortably! He is very happy with his Christmas gift

Jacket is very well made and will definitely keep you warm. The only down side in my case was the color faded after only one wash within the first week. I followed all the careful wash instructions and was still disappointed. Now instead of black my jacket looks a deep purple with faded streaks.

Very expensive jacket to look like this after one wash. Followed manufacturer instructions exactly as the tag directed. Not happy.
I have worn Carrhart for decades. My last hooded sweatcoat lasted over 30 years. The new one is awesome, exceeded my expectations, and is very warm. I highly recommend this product. I am a lineman, I work in all kinds of weather, this garment is the best there is
My husband loves this jacket, it’s more comfortable than the collared ones.
Have only had for few weeks and only worn few times but appears to be warm and has the carhartt durability. Had to have fr for my job. If they would of had a full swing fire retardant jacket with a hood I would of bought that just to have the extra room in the upper back . Gave functionality a 4 because would like to have full swing room

I love this coat. I’m 6’ even, 235lbs and I bought an XLT. Glad I went with the tall. Keeps me very warm. 0* with 15mph winds and I could stay warm

Great coat. I had a problem with my delivery and called the 800 number and was helped immediately. I did not rate it for durability because I just got it. That's a question for two years from now. But my past coats have worn beautifully.

To clear up the other review, this coat is made in the u.s.a but only in the blue color. I own a blue one and have bin satisfied with it for 2 season. Just wanted to share
this jacket is not made in the usa and i would not recommend this or any other jacket not made in the usa
