I bought this coat and am very satisfied with it in every way but I am having difficulty with getting a detachable hood, the jacket has 5 male snaps under the collar but the hood that I ordered only has 4 female snaps. This won't work. Can you help me in this matter?

Really solid jacket but I can’t help but note that the zipper and everything is really solidly built but then they put these chintzy Velcro patches on in place of metal snap buttons (as is shown) kind of disappointing design decision and they need to update the model photo to reflect this.

I got this coat for my husband and he loves it! Very warm and durable and great for cold and windy days working outside.
This jacket fits well and has the flexibility to allow you to perform your work without issues. It is also very warm so it is great on colder days while performing electrical inspections.
I have used these coat for years now and own a few. Great coat, very warm, once its broken it fits great like a glove. I've worn it climbing radio towers in January and woldnt ever choose another jacket for my line of work.

Nice fit. Winter is coming
Coat fades when washed and velco will fray the coat. I washed it once and it lost a lot of color. Coat has grey lines all over it. Don't buy black!! I got the hood on mine and the velco tore up the coats outer layer and stitching. Had to cover the velco before it rips all the stitching out of my shoulder. Only wore it 3 months.
Coats purchased for male employees in plant. No complaints.
Very good quality coat. I got it for cold weather welding. It is warm but the only disappointment is the sleeves are not designed to work well with gloves.
Favorite coat i own! Crazy comfortable and warm, wears like iron!
It 's a great fitting coat and if there is any negative it would be the weight. It is very heavy.
Runs big. I order everything in XLT if possible. I fee like I could have gotten away with just a L. Other than that, very nice coat, warm, durable.

Image depicts buttons on wind flap, but mine was velcro when I got it, do not like that nor do I think velcro is going to last very long, I have no idea why they changed that and it made me want to return it, but its about to be cold so lucky me I guess.

Great winter jacket. True to size but has enough room to wear over hooded sweatshirt. Like the two inside pockets. Could use pen holder pockets on the sleeves. Easy laundering at home.

This is a great looking jacket. It's really warm and high quality also. The only issue is the sizing. I'm 5'11", 165 and I ordered a medium, which is typically my normal jacket size. I'm going to give this to a coworker and order myself a size small. In my experience, this is "normal" to Carhartt FR clothing. They all seem to run larger than my normal clothing.
Great coat, fits over my Carhartt insulated bibb overalls just fine.

Nice and heavy and very warm. Just a little too bulky but it will wear in well, I'm sure.
I have worn this coat in the Western Oklahoma oilfield for 5 years. It has held up well. The coat is warm,but for me anything below 30 and I am putting layers on underneath it. It does have room for layers without being overly bulky. The zipper is big and tuff and has given me no issues. The black color fades to gray pretty quick if you work hard and wash it very often. Over all I would recommend this coat. <br />- Carhartt I would like to see a full swing fr coat that is black, has the heavy duty zipper and is the same length as this coat. Those are the reasons I haven't bought a new coat yet. Just for reference I am in my early 30's size L and I DONT want a coat that stops right at my waist.
Great coat! I'm a rugged guy and I need a coat to be just as rugged. Tough material on the outside soft on the inside and very very warm. Nice heavy coat!. I wish it automatically came with a hood but it doesn't you have to buy hood separately. Other than that I absolutely love this coat.
A great winter coat that keeps the wind chill out and warmth in. It does look pretty good appearance wise, and I am sure its durability is forthcoming.
