Awesome jeans, bought for the 2nd time
Tried on the 42x32 size in store, the length was perfect but waist a tad to small. Ordered the 44X32 online and the length was drastically longer than the 42x32 to the point i had to have them hemmed up.
Way to long. I ordered 34 length and got 36

I normally wear wrangler jeans, couldn't find my size at tractor supply so I bought these, I went up a size to be safe I can always wear a belt. These fit super tight, I have a 34 inch waist and the 36's were snug.
More baggy than I expected. Not a bad thing though. Keeps me from ripping out the crotch when stretching to pull weeds or doing yard work.
I ordered the exact style and size as before and they for very very different. I expect the same quality when spending $40 per pair and the fit is different and terrible.

this product is great like all other carhartt jeans my concern is older lines of jeans are no longer available. there is no longer 100 percent cotton relaxed fit strait leg jeans. not all people want tapered leg they are just settling for them and they are not comfortable because of the tight bottom. they can not be worn with boots. We want your best jeans back or people will switch to Levis 550 strait leg relaxed fit which are no where as good as the old strait leg carhartt.
Dont like you discontinued the style I had been wearing for many, many years. <br />These are OK, but seem kinda like fashion jeans, not what I wanted.

Not what I expected. I am hard to fit at 38 waist and 28 length. I was looking for a more classic fit. While these are relaxed fit which I wanted in the seat, the legs are more like a boot top. Additionally the color is not true blue jeans which is hard to determine when looking at colors on line.
So disappointed, I am still experimenting with styles since my original is no longer available but I seem to get a different size with every order. Waist is either smaller than my previous pair or the length is always too long. Instead of waiting 2 to 4 weeks for a refund and a re order I may just pay to get them altered. I wore 34 inseam in Levi's and ordered a 32 in this style because my previous Carhartt is 32 and fit well but these are way long and measured a little over 33.5" fter many years I'm at a loss with this company's sizing and quality control
Originals were made in Nicaragua fit perfect , I ordered 5 more for work and they are made in mexico and fit Terribly. The waist/ hip area is now too long and too tight making it a very awkward fit

Love the pants, very well made. My only change in the future will be to get the slimmer model. The relaxed fit is too loose. The legs are like stove pipes. Aside from that element of fit, there excellent jeans.

My husband always bought these, so he thought, but the ones he bought are no longer available. He didn’t like this color we sent back.
We have been ordering these jeans for some time and the fit has always been perfect. Finding 28” inseam is not an easy feat. However this order was less than acceptable and returned. The outside seam was turned so rather than resting on the side of the leg it was literally in the center of the shoe. The quality of fabric was thin and less than acceptable. Overall quality of product was terrible. We reordered and got the same thing with reorder and sent them back as well. Back to hemming I guess.

These are "Holter" jeans, although the description doesn't say so. These are really lightweight jeans, I've had them before and don't like them, so when I saw the label I didn't even try them on, just returned them.

I purchased to wear for outside work. They work great. Very durable, wash about 3 - 4 times a week. Great fit, very relax fit for moving about. I like the number of belt loops to help keep my pants where they should be. Five stars for sure.

I've bought over 6 of these pants with the inseam in 30 and none of these have been the same length. The newest pants i have is 4 inches longer than my first set ( which fit perfect by the way ) . Very disappointed looks like I'm going to be looking for another clothing brand to wear.

Nice jeans and well made. Relaxed fit on these jeans means much more roomy in the hips and thighs than other brands. Waist line true to size. Had to return because of big hips and thigh area.
Fits is good and seem to be holding up pretty well
The pants are very comfortable and accurate in measurement/fit. The one issue I wish was different....inseam length is only in 2 inch increments. Having a 30” inseam is accurate, but I need 29” or the pants are dragging in the heel. 28” are too short. Having to pay a seamstress before I wear them is a cost I’m not happy to pay....I know...first world problem! ?? Other than that a perfect 5...well made and comfortable!
I looked for a replacement for the B460 DVB’s, because my favorite pair finally gave up the ghost. The website directs me to 480’s and these, and the only denim I can find in the stores any more are all IMPORTED. Guess I’ll still buy the loggers, but all my jeans are going to be from Roundhouse or Prison Blues. The loggers with the rivets from what I can tell and a few jackets are just about the only domestic made items any more worth anything. I hope more people start reading your tags before you outsource everything. You need the 480’s more than I do.
I used a model number from a pair I bought last year. This pair seems to have thinner material.

I was thrilled to find good quality jeans in my size - 40W, 28L. The length is perfect. The waist seems a bit too large, even for relaxed fit jeans, but still OK. But better this way than too small. The stitching is as good as I've ever seen. Note: durability is not really something that can be judged after one month, unless these are used for heavy duty work, which I'm not using them for.
I bought these jeans because Carhartt decided to discontinue the relaxed fit B460-DVB and went with this style. The cut and fit is exactly the same. However the B460 Dark Venom Blue (DVB)... feels thicker and more rugged than the Relaxed Fit Holter... The new style will never hold up to Carhartt’s legendary reputation as tough and rugged, made for working people... these pants feel more like something you’d wear out on a Saturday night rather than something you could wear to work

Not at all what was described to me by the associate. Have never worn this particular style or color, which was also not at all what was described to me. Rather than hastle sending them back, I gave both pairs I purchased, away.
Being semi-retired these jeans are the perfect weight for everyday...not too heavy...not summer weight. Comfortable fit without looking excessively baggy.

Jeans are not the correct length. Ordered 32 inseam, but compared to my other pair of the same jeans, these are actually more like 34.

I have been a devoted Carhartt customer for over 30 years. All my cold weather jackets, sweat jackets, headgear, coveralls (insulated and non-insulated), raingear, as well as my jeans have all been Carhartt due to their durability to withstand the harsh work environments I work in. I have seen a lot of good quality items become discontinued to much dismay. However, nothing is more disappointing than seeing Carhartt replace 15 oz. denim with this new lighter weight jean material. I bought and wore three pairs of these jeans to replace the no longer made B460 jeans. I can attest to the fact that these jeans are not as durable as the 15 oz. denim material. They already have holes wearing through the material in less than a 1/4 of the time it would take for the 15 oz. denim to get to the same point. Carhartt was always a durable product to support the hard working man or woman. This new jean material is not what traditional Carhartt's were founded on
The change in fit and fabric from the 1889 jeans means these do not fit the same or as well. Slimmer through the seat and thighs. Will be forced to find new favorite jeans elsewhere

I am very happy with these jeans. Very comfortable, and seem well made with durable fabric. I am very pleased, I wish they offered more colors I would buy them all. I am hard to fit, and these feel perfect. I would say the waist is exactly the size listed, but they will loosen slightly. No issue with a belt though. Thighs are tiny and don’t squeeze whenever you sit or bend and the length is true as well.

My other Carhartt jeans are relax fit but heavier in 38w/28i and I really like the fit but these seem to be longer and looser in the waist so may run larger. Also different material but will be alright.

I love these Jeans! They last years!!
These jeans have a nice relaxed cut and look nice when you first put them on, but they stretch out - A LOT! I wore them one day to the office and by noon I had to roll up the legs to keep from walking on them. My size 36X34. Later that eve, I measured and the waist was 37 5/8" (They had stretched 1 5/8" just sitting the office!)!! I washed in hot and dried on high hoping to shrink them for good. Next day the waist was 36 1/8". Put them on thinking I'd done it, but 15-30 minutes later I could feel them expanding again and by 2 hours the waist was back out to 37 3/4". The jeans would be awesome in 14oz 100% cotton!!! Hey Carhart - we want jeans in 100% denim!!! We don't want polyester, spandex, elastane, or rubber in our jeans!!! Please make us some nice jeans in 100% cotton soon that don't stretch out!! Or there will be a lot of middle-aged men naked from the waist down!!!
Extremely tight fit in the front pocket area. Have to really push to get anything in the front pockets. My winter carhartt jeans are much more roomy and comfortable.

Got these jeans for work in summer, I am an excavator and jump in and out of ditches. These jeans are lighter weight and allow mobility. Only draw back is because they are lighter weight they wear out a little faster than regular weight jeans, but I figured that before I even bought them. All in All a great product

This is my second pair of Holter jeans. I liked the first pair so much, I bought another with a 1" larger waist to make room for my CCW. Even with the larger waist, they are still comfortable. My favorite pair of jeans.
They say loose fit but they aren’t very loose through the thigh. Returned them and got a refund. Went with another brand that I have never tried before and love them.

I have probably purchased over 40 pair of 34x34 pants from Carhartt. This time I ordered 2 pair, one pair fit the same way all prior jeans have fit and the other is too small....not significantly small just a little tight. Not sure what happened. So more than satisfied with one pair and the other pair is not going to be worn at all....<br />I’m a huge fan of carhartt and will continue to buy them but definitely unsatisfied with these ones.

Purchased my normal size I wear from Carhartt these were to tight. The fabric is of a much lighter weight then my favorite Carhartt jeans B460 LVB that they no longer make. I think their getting to cute with the names and color of there jeans. What is a "Holter" jean and what color is Bed Rock. I will be returning. My neighbor had the same problem he is now wearing a Wrangler heavy duty. Might give them a try

I bought these to replace the B460's that I wear for motorcycle riding that have since been discontinued. They are advertised as being 12.5 weight but just as strong as 15. I don't know if that's true but they are much thinner and lighter. I am not really happy with them for my use in riding as they don't seem to offer much protection but I guess they may be ok for work use.
just what I was looking for, will use this site again as the 35x32 loose fit are hard to find in the stores..
QUALITY OF THE MATERIAL HAS GONE DOWNHILL POCKETS AND QUALITY CONTROL ON SEAMS IS LACKING PREFER THE RELAXED FIT OLD STYLE 100% COTTON JEAN. THE QUALITY AND MATERIALS WOULD BE A LOT BETTER IF THEY WERE MADE IN THE UNITED STATES NOT MEXICO.

Denim is too light. There are rare times I mow, rake, shovel or wash a car. I want 15oz or more on my working body.

The pocket opening is a little too tight and the fly could unzip a little farther and the relaxed fit is a little too loose on me, but I sure like them otherwise

I bought my husband 4 pairs of these jeans online because I was having trouble finding his size in the stores. I need up having to return all four pairs because the zipper wouldn’t stay up. So after returning them I ended up finding his size at Bass Pro so I bought 3 more pairs, and now I have to return 3 pairs to Bass Pro. ( the zipper would not stay up)The overall jeans are good just the zipper won’t stay up , they are a nice lightweight jean. My husband is a landscaper and they work out great for him out working in the heat all day. My family loves Carhart clothes, but this has been pretty disappointing....
They must be missed marked , they’re about 2”longer than the other carhartt jeans I have currently.

This is an excellent jean. They're very comfortable. The pockets are deep enough to store a good amount of items. They look good. They seem to be built fairly tough as well.

Good look and comfortable. Normally I take a 34 waist, but from reading previous reviews, I noted the recommendation to order one waist size up. For whatever reason, that seems to be how Carhartt pants are cut. No matter, once you know, proceed accordingly.
These pants look great and seem to be well constructed. I'd like to leave a review on durability and comfort but unfortunately the sizing runs a bit small.. I plan on returning and ordering a larger size, hopefully shipping won't cost me more than the pants did!

These jeans are more toward the “form” side of the form-function spectrum. They’re my “fancy” jeans that I wouldn’t wear in extreme contact situations (i.e. dirt, mud, sharp edges, stains, etc.). These are office jeans or job site jeans when you need to look a little bit more presentable. I have no doubt they;d perform in those tougher conditions, but why ruin a good-looking pair of pants when others are made to take that hit? These pants seem to be made a *tiny* bit less durable than other Carhartt jeans. No flaws or anything to make them necessarily inferior, but the seams and the thickness of the jean material are a little less than others. Still a great pair of jeans though.

My husband bought these jeans last year and loved them. I went back a year later to buy more and they seemed to run small. Last year he bought 36X32 and this year he had to go up a size to get the same fit.
NO PREPAID SHIPPING FOR RETURNS??????Just paid $15 to return because Blue Ridge is way darker than pictured! the least Carhartt can do is offer a prepaid shipping labe for returns. Color was not even close!

These are some of the most comfortable jeans I've owned! Very durable, purchased for work (electronics manufacturing) wear and so far they haven't disappointed!
These jeans are great! My only minor complaint is that the front pockets are slightly difficult to get your hands into and the band rubs a bit on the top of my hands when they are in the pockets. I gave it only four stars for the overall rating due to this fact, but the appearance, durability, and quality are five stars.
Thigh runs a bit large compared to other denim choices, but still a great choice!

Super comfortable and roomy
I would have to say a really good buy and perfect size for me.
I have a hard time finding pants that fit my legs, and that have a solid mid-rise waist. These are perfect. They sit at my waist without the typical slippage that other pants have where the waist falls down to your hips and makes you look ridiculous. The hips and thighs are cut wide enough to accommodate thigh muscles - but no wider, giving a tailored look, and a nice straight silhouette from hip to knee. The only thing that would make these pants better is a *very* slightly trimmer calf area, maybe by 1/2" on each leg - I docked one star for this. As they are, they still look great, but if slightly trimmer calf area, they could also work well for "dressy" jeans. They fit over my hiking boots with plenty of room to spare, but don't look like bellbottoms or have too much extra fabric. <br /><br />I ranked the durability a 4 and quality 5 stars because it looks like these pants have a coarser weave, which generally holds up well but can snag over time. A tighter weave might make them more durable, but would likely also make them more rigid and hotter so, I think that Carhartt hit it right going with a coarse weave for these medium weight jeans.<br /><br />Overall, these are fantastic jeans, and likely to become my everyday pants. True mid-rise, true-to-length 30" inseam, almost no vanity sizing (31x30 fits my 32" waist perfectly - seriously, a 1" difference is unheard of these days where a 36" waist fits in 30" pants!), and a price that can't be beat. Get 'em, you won't regret it!
Comfortable to wear and they fit perfectly in the waist and inseam. I can't speak of the durability of these jeans yet, since I only have had them for about 6 months, but, even though they are a blend of denim and stretch material, they seem to have the durability in them.

I purchased three pairs of these for work, probably the worst fitting Carhartt jeans I've ever owned in the past 20 years . The seams on the side of the right leg twist to the left when they are worn. The pockets are shallow and they are more of a tapered leg than a straight leg . Overall I have not been impressed with these

Purchased these through a local distributor in the spring of 2015. I bought 5 pair, and was really excited to test these against other brands I've worn in the past. I've only worn these to work, and my work is mostly office oriented. This jean never really softened up after repeated washings. I'm average build, so the cut of this jean shouldn't of had any bearing since they are what I would call relaxed fit. The biggest down fall/holes are developing around the top corners of the back pockets. All 5 pair show the same stress, which now makes them hard to wear in the office, unless I don't tuck in my shirt. I don't carry a wallet in my back pocket, so I'm not sure why this has happened. Maybe this is an entry level jean, and I misread this line from its overall description. I would rather spend $15-20 dollars more and grab another style than be reduced to replacing them every 6 months.

Tried on the 42x32 size in store, the length was perfect but waist a tad to small. Ordered the 44X32 online and the length was drastically longer than the 42x32 to the point i had to have them hemmed up.

I normally wear wrangler jeans, couldn't find my size at tractor supply so I bought these, I went up a size to be safe I can always wear a belt. These fit super tight, I have a 34 inch waist and the 36's were snug.
