Amazing jacket, decently windproof, pretty warm for 25* or more. The size runs a bit large. It stains with super easy. Removal of stains takes borax, oxy, detergent of choice, and a soak cycle for 15 mins.
Carhartt made XL a little bit smaller to save money. I could not wear it.
I really like the product only thing I wish you had it in small, Medium feels to big. You should start making them in small.
Very warm. It feels thin. But I haven’t needed a sweatshirt under it so far this winter. And I work as a carpenter. It’s very comfortable and doesn’t get in the way when I’m working.

Looks good wash after wash. The reflective piping is holding up great. Very good quality overall. As long as Carhartt keeps making them like this, I’ll keep buying them. Size does run big, I order a size smaller than usual.

I have had two other class 3 thermal lined sweatshirts. It is not as warm as the last two. Other than that, it seems rugged and will probably wear as well. Carhartt has always been my choice so I am expecting great things for this sweat shirt. It can be seen in the daylight and at night. When headlights hit it it lights up really great. I choose the orange and now my family can see me where ever I am working in the fields.
Looks good, but material inside is very rough and uncomfortable on the skin. You dang near have to have long sleeves on under neath.
too big... by a lot... you need smaller sizes... not everybody is a big guy and you don't understand that... to be honest, i think even a small would be too big.... I am 5 foot and 100 lbs.... and i know 20 people personally who would buy this if you made a smaller size

Great quality outer shell, solid zipper. However the inside thermal lining is terrible. It’s very course and rough on the skin. It’s irritates around the next in just a couple hours of washing it. I’ve washed it a couple times with fabric softener in hopes it would make it bearable, it’s helped slightly. Not sure why they wouldn’t use the rain defender or even use the Sherpa lining. I would expect better from Carhartt considering it was an $80 hoodie.
The fit is GREAT. I plan on wearing the sweatshirt when it gets a little colder out.

Sweatshirt fits great not to big not to small feels good. Material is awesome for work currently in the garbage industry. Definitely recommend to anyone and keeps you warm with a liner on the inside of the sweatshirt.

I bought this for a warmer option to wear to work and during work during the winter while driving a forklift. It provided plenty of warmth and space that I needed to stay comfortable during the colder parts of the year.
This jacket is a good quality material. Heavy duty and warm.
So the hoodie is warm and bright. It is basically a coat. It is every thing you expect from Carhartt. The problem is the 3M iron on tape segments. Even after laundering according to the instructions the tape is splotchy. It is still reflective it just makes me wonder about the longevity . Black pockets would be a plus too. Do that and sew on some tape and you have a winner.

Iam 5’9 240 so when I buy a big jacket a lot of times the sleeves are too long . I wear a size 54 reg coveralls and the jacket fits perfect. It’s warm enough to work in with out getting too hot and for me I can wear a t shirt and just the jacket in to the low 40s
The Functionality of the hood is lacking. I would hope Carhartt recognizes this and redesigns it. There's to much material around the neck area and it flares out on both sides. It catches breeze and wind and blows off the head when I need it most. even when tied. Also while backing I have to drop the hood because of it. Other then that perfect!

This hoodie is crazy comfortable, and holds natural feel and look after many washes. It is my go to when my light hoodie isn’t enough for the cold even when it’s not a work day. I love this hoodie. It also fits the needs of RR and other hi-vis necessary jobs.
I like it alot, very warm. I work grave yard in San Diego, our average low is high 40s low 50s. Some nights maybe 25%-30% of the time it gets into mid 30s farenheit during winter. I do not consider myself a hot bod person, I'm usually the person who is always cold and im 6' 230lbs (weird I know). I do work which is construction in nature so I move around alot when I'm not in my warm truck. I also always where a base layer so my skin never touches the inside. With all that said, this sweater keeps me warm with a beanie from mid 40s up IF I'm moving around alot. It's not enough for me around mid 40s and below. The the thermal interior is not nice to the touch so if you where short sleeves it's not comfy. The interior is a big miss for carhartt on this one. I do really enjoy the sweater and I where it everyday. I wash it once a week and it has been washed maybe 4 times so far with no problems. Zipper is heavy duty which is nice. And it being class 3 ansi is needed for what I do. I dont have a good comparison other than a thin high viz sweater from hanes which does not compare. As much as I like this sweater I will be trying other brands. It's nice, but for the price i feel like it should be better.

As always awesome quality from Carhartt I like the color a lot my fourth sweatshirt that style never had a high viz one till now. Purchased for My new job I like having the zipped ones easy to takeoff when I’m in the plow truck my old job always wore orange and high viz. green non-zip pull over Carhartt sweatshirts The only thing this one seems to be missing from all my previous ones is the inside pocket only has Velcro instead of a zipper

I think the outer shell could be a little heavier with a tighter knit. I know it's not a wind breaker, but it will let a breeze through.

I like that it is very bright and super reflective but it is not comfortable or soft. I thought it would be a little heavier for the price but it is not that heavy either. With that said I kept it for the reflectors and brite yellow color.

Carhart quality through and through. I looked at a lot of HI-VIZ zip hoodies and was never able to find one with the quality of the Carhart. The hood is sized to fit over your hard hat which is a good feature for those on the job site. I’m getting ready to order the unlined version to wear in the spring and fall

Bought for a hard working guy that can only wear HI-Vis on the job. The outerwear provided was not water repellent much less warm. He saw this at a local shop and mentioned it multiple times. Best gift ever. He has two of the thermal sweatshirts and this lets him stay in compliance without ruining his everyday favorites.

I found this hoodie to not fit like the other well known hoodies by Carhartt and find that mine fits on the smaller size. I would recommend if you like a hoodie that fits a little large order one size up. Also I found that the materials use were not on par with other hoodies I've ordered in the past.

I bought a large size for my husband; and although it fit him perfectly (5'11 - 239Lbs), he asked me to exchange for an XL so he wouldn't feel restricted when having layers underneath. He's very pleased with it! Customer service was excellent and hassle free! As a suggestion, the thermal lining of this sweatshirt would've lived to its full description if it was a fleecy or sherpa material.

This hoodie has been as tough as the job it's on every winter I get one. I'll never use anything else to be seen when it's still dark in early mornings. I've never owned, nor can find, ANYTHING I'd rather wear to work. It's professional, it moves with you, doesn't pull up in the back bent over swinging a hammer. The reflective tape is adhered, not stitched, to the hoodie itself so no need to worry about the heat of the dryer melting the visibility and safety away. Carhartt has always sold me on a great developed and researched product. Unsurpassed. Undisputed greatness. Couldn't recommend it more.
EXACTLY what I ordered. Like it.
This hoodie by itself is perfect 6 months out of the year. On the coldest super cold days it works great under my Carhartt waterproof jacket. They run big as workwear should. I'm normally a XL but a L fits me perfect. It is a little thick for summer months even in the morning.

Its a heavy hoodie which is good. Its visible like it’s suppose to be the only bad part its that the inside is rough. This hoodie would be better if it had the fleece like the j140 jackets on the inside also if it had black bottom and ar the cuffs. Other than that protects from cold Alaskan climate.
I love the sweatshirt. I did need to exchange it for a large. I originally ordered a medium but across the shoulders were a little snug. I can't wait to get the large.

It does not matter the time of day or amount of sun, this jacket is great in all scenarios i have tested it in and between the thermal lining, heavy duty zipper and huge hood(great for those who wear hard hats) this jacket is bar none the best i have ever hard. <br /><br />So i happy i was able to field test this product through the Carhartt Crew Platform.

This is not a typical sweatshirt, soft yet warm material. It was VERY rough. I am already disappointed that they don't sell women's high visibility hoodies, so I had to go with the smallest men's size .... which is a medium, so already, it was HUGE on me. Not cool. Then the material was rough and heavy, so I felt like I was wearing a kevlar vest that was 3x's too big for me. At least I was visible, but this wasn't what I was looking for. PLEASE come up with a better solution for women. I work outside at night, and I'm basically confined to wearing cheap vests over everything.
I have always liked Carhartt products, with this item though from the explanation and looks I expected the hoodie to be thicker and warmer. Like the last one I bought my husband. The fit and look of the hoodie are great though. Just wish it was warmer.

This is what I mostly wear through my winters along side a thermal under shirt and I'm comfortable in temps as low as 15 degrees

I have used this sweatshirt almost everyday on the jobsite and have been very happy with how warm and comfortable it is. It also helps that its a zip up so when the when it warms up later in the evening its very easy to just take it off especially in this crazy Illinois weather. Highly recommend for anybody

I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. I love the look of it, it is very well made, and that is why I am willing to pay a premium for Carhartt products. My only complaint and why I docked it 2 stars is because of the inside material. It is so scratchy and uncomfortable feeling. Its scratchy to the point that I may return it for the non insulated version. CARHARTT if you read this I would emplor you to make item 103308 in hi vis. The sherpa lining is great, and the rain defender helps with bad weather. For me personally the lining on this was a big miss. I hope I am not alone on this becasue I think changing this lining would be a big upgrade.

The coat runs large, so a bit big. I had thought to wear it over other layers, but it is very warm, weatherproof and very comfortable in its own right. The high vis is effective, and I would recommend it as an outer layer

I work outside at night in temperatures that average 45-55 degrees f. Jacket keeps me warm and fits perfect. Im 6 foot 3 180 pounds and ordered XL tall. Its hard for me to find work gear in my size and like i said this sweatshirt is perfect for me. If you work in temperatures lower than mine you are definitely going to need some layers underneath this bad boy but i can comfortably wear another XL hoodie underneath this one. Thanks carhartt

The jacket is great. I wear it rather then my heavy coat. It’s easier to move around in and withe the high visibility color to it I don’t have to wear one of those vest. I just wish it was a pullover hoodie.

sweatshirt is nice but I have a few issues. Bought a large regular which is usually what I wear in carhartt products (with an exception to their Paxton line which I need to size up on) but anyway the large regular fits very oddly. It’s very wide in the torso area and arms, almost the way the XL Paxton stuff fits, the waist band and sleeve cuffs almost seem like an after thought. A very thin and poorly constructed material. Much different Material than the rest of the sweatshirt. Then there’s the torso and sleeve length. Theyre much shorter than any other carhartt sweatshirt I’ve owned. It rides up due to the wide wasteband and the thin material it’s made of. The sweatshirt itself feels like a good sturdy material, and it’s incredibly comfortable to work in and the thermal lining did me keep me warm, even during winter in Boston. I love the brand so I’m not totally unhappy just wish there some things were different. Not 100% sure if I would buy another thermal lined hi vis tho based on how this fits. Will probably try the non thermal lined one next in hopes of a different/better fit

I bought this for my son who works construction. It is very durable and the best part is that it has a metal zipper. I made the mistake of buying a cheaper one, that had a plastic zipper and was always splitting.Definitely worth the money!

Very disappointed have purchased several navy insulated thermal hoodies never had a problem with them. Wore this high visibility one two days. Washed it inside out on cold hung dry! It is covered in little balls(piling) for the price I paid and only wearing two days one wash it looks horrible. Not happy

I bought these hooding for my drivers. We live in Maine and they can be out in the elements but have some flexibility of getting in and out of a truck comfortably. These fit the bill.
Bought this sweat jacket for my girlfriends son and he loves it. Just so happens that the day it arrived we had a cold spell and since he works nights it came in real handy. I have one similar (a different brand) that they get us for work and it’s twice the price and half the quality.

Like the title say this is the best Hi- Vis hoodie on the market today. I've been working outside for 14 years now, and this is the only hoodie I will wear when it's too cold for a long sleeve shirt and I need the extra safety of Hi-Vis.<br /><br />The thermal lining is amazing at keeping you warm, and the wind out. It's also not too warm at the same time, causing you to eventually sweat and have to remove the hoodie. The sizing is perfect. The zipper is easy to manipulate even with gloves on. There is also an inside chest pocket that I use to hold belongings when they are at risk of falling out of my pockets.
Appearance/Durability: Stains easily because of the light color. Mine is full of grease and oil. If the lower 1/4 of the sleeves and jacket were black this would cut down on this issues.<br />Quality: Nice heavy duty zipper, quality thermal, nice outer shell material.<br />Comfort: This is a cool weather sweatshirt, if wore in cold months will need to layer up.

Not as warm as expected <br />
I wash jacket once a week and even after first week, I cannot get it clean. I've tried soaking in a bucket overnight with dawn, oxyclean, tide, etc and it will not come clean. Lot of money to spend to look like a dirtbag

I have about 2 weeks of use. Nice and bright. I work 3rd shift for a cable company so I'm in the road all night. Better then a vest. Warm until about 30f. If you are not moving. Only down fall is the bright green shows every spec of dirt and stain. But hey it's a work shirt. Going to get the non thermal hoodie next.

I bought this thermal lined hi-vis sweatshirt to wear at night while working around numerous forklifts on a dock. I can no longer take any chances with regard to my personal safety as I am on blood thinners. Wearing hi-vis just makes sense and this item will work well. The overall fit is roomy and the Carhartt quality evident throughout. The scotchlite reflective tape allows for bending or twisting without you knowing it's there. If safety is a concern, then this is a great choice when it comes to cool weather garments. I also have the unlined version, which is equally as nice only without the thermal lining.

Very warm. It feels thin. But I haven’t needed a sweatshirt under it so far this winter. And I work as a carpenter. It’s very comfortable and doesn’t get in the way when I’m working.
