It was not as I expected. <br />I own a similar Carhart style hat but it is not double thickness. I wanted a similar style/shape to the one I am used to.
It's actually nice and warm. I've had some hats that weren't viable to cold negative temperatures and this one is close to a traditional fur hat. I love it, thanks carhartt!
Good beanie. Only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fit. Slightly too small for my large head. Will consider buying one in another color if available.

i have a big head and feels a little tight. definately cant wear my hat under it and expect my ears to be covered.

I bought this for my stepdad because he loves the carhartt brand. He always says these are good quality and last him a good while.

My Husband struggles with finding the right hat to fit him the way it should. He loves the carhartt line of outer wear, its the only brand by far that fits perfect. This had don't stretch, dont lose its durability, and keeps him warm.

Very comfortable and warm. I have the black and the green. I have had both for two years now no issues. Originally got them for fishing on cold windy days but wear them all the time now when it's cold.
Great hat, good fit warm and stylish enough to wear out with your buddies after a long work day. And it's reversible, however that doesn't justify the cost of the beanie which is a bit steep.
